A/N: This is for the 5 drabbles comp and the prompt was peace and quiet. pairing is Charlie/Lavender.
Raucous laughter came from the living room, and Lavender tried not to wince. She loved the Weasley family, she really did, but they were so loud sometimes that they made her ears hurt.
It wasn't their fault though. It was just a side effect of Greyback's attack on her during the final battle, and her brother-in-law Bill understood to a point because he was also affected by it.
"Are you alright, love?" Charlie asked, sounding concerned.
"I'm fine, it's just my hearing. I might have to go out every now and again, but I will try to make sure it's not too much. I don't want to seem rude," she told him.
"You go out when you need to, love. They do understand that you're more sensitive than everyone else," he said, pulling her close and kissing her forehead.
"Thanks. It's so peaceful and quiet around ours that I'm not used to it. Maybe we need the whole family to get together more often so I can get used to it," she said thoughtfully.
"That might be a good idea. It might prepare you for when the baby comes as well. They do make a lot of noise," Charlie agreed.
Lavender agreed wholeheartedly. She only had to babysit their nieces and nephews to learn how loud they were, but she wouldn't change being a mother for the world.
