Lavender slipped on her dress over the bikini she was wearing and smiled briefly at her reflection in the mirror.
The dress was long, floaty, and a deep amethyst colour which brought out her eyes and made her feel beautiful. Her girlfriend, Parvati would say that she looked beautiful wearing anything - even jogging bottoms and an old T-shirt.
That was one of the things Lavender loved about Parvati; she didn't see the scars that Greyback had given her. Maybe it was because of the fact that they had been best friends since their first year at Hogwarts and they knew each other so well that they both could look past something like that. Whatever it was, Lavender was grateful.
"You look stunning as always," Parvati said, standing in the doorway to their bedroom.
"Thank you. So do you," Lavender said, returning the compliment.
"Are you nearly ready to go?" she asked.
"Yes, I just have to put my shoes on and check we have all the food and stuff before we go."
"I've done that already, but if you wanted to go over it one more time that's fine," Parvati told her.
"It might be a good idea since last time we forgot a few things. So towels, sunscreen, food, cutlery, drinks, and we will conjure chairs when we get there," she said, listing the items on her mental checklist.
"Everything is packed apart from the chairs," Parvati confirmed.
"Good. I can't wait to sit by the sea and relax for once. Work has been so stressful, I really need this," Lavender confessed.
That and the weather hadn't been the best this summer so they wanted to take advantage of it as much as they could.
