Chapter 51: Day of Reckoning
Geo's Aura surged through his body as his purple flames started to burn even stronger, the ground around him darkening thanks to the heat of the Aura emanating from his body and his purple eye. The Grimm that surrounded the young man began to walk backward because if they approached him now they would be turned to ashes like the Apathy before. This left Lord Aiden perplexed as he never saw Grimm creatures turning their back before. "Impossible! This is impossible!" He yelled. "What the hell do you think you bastards are doing?! He is just a brat throwing a tantrum and you are all scared?!"
The ground beneath the boy cracked has his power kept rising and his expression was one of pure rage. Suddenly, two large black arms erupted from his back, and they were covered with bone-like armor, and right after that he gained a new left arm and it was covered with bone-like armor as well. "I AM GOING TO KILL YOU ALL! I WILL TAKE EVERYTHING FROM YOU LIKE YOU TOOK FROM ME!" His skin turned white like Salem's and his hair white. Pure hate was all he could feel now and his objective was to destroy everything in his path.
Seeing this Ruby was heartbroken, she couldn't believe this was happening again. The last time Geo did this, she had to fight him and almost lost her life. "No...Geo, please don't do this again. I-I can't do this." As Ruby cried her bottom lip quivered. The waves of helplessness and anxiety that hit her have caught the girl unaware, they must have been silently building up and gaining momentum while the battle was raging on. "I-I can't breathe...R-Roary." She gasped in panic as she saw more Grimm coming towards her, it won't take long for them to climb up the wall and be on top of her.
Ruby aimed the barrel of her rifle at them and opened fire. She wanted to call her lover to help her protect their daughter but now how could she? Geo could instead kill her and Roary but yet her heart kept calling out to him. The young Casterwill was the one that brought happiness to her life once again, the memories they share are everything to her and she knows that he feels the same way. A boy who lost his innocence at a very young age, he was twisted to become a warrior, a killer, a monster to protect his land. And yet they found each other and fell in love. "Please, I need you." Whispered Ruby. "GEOOOO!"
At that moment something inside the boy's mind snapped, and he began to hear someone crying but this crying sounded familiar to him. "Ruby?...Roary?...N-No!" He looked behind him and saw the most precious woman in panic. "N-No! Not this time! I-I can do it, I can control it!" His Aura continued to rise but the purple flames began to turn black and the Dark Aura was slowly taking over him. He was losing control each passing second and to make matters worse Roary started to cry and everyone could hear it, specially the Grimm. "Roary...R-Ruby. I-I can't..." His sclera turned black.
'My son stop holding back! Let all your emotions go and explode! Remember what I always told you, power comes in response of a need not a desire. They are counting on you.' Geo couldn't believe it but that voice was from his mother. "I...I do! I desire to protect my family above all else! Ruby, Roary! THEY ARE COUNTING ON ME! I WILL PROTECT THEM!" He shouted. "AHHHHHHHHHH!" Suddenly, the entire region was engulfed by a shinning purple light and all the Grimm that were near him got turned to dust. The light was like a beacon for everyone and everything.
Ruby and the others looked at the young warrior astonished. "Hahaha!" The dark spider on the girl's shoulder laughed. "He did it! He actually did it!" The creature was impressed. "This kid really is something else, all because of you Ruby. His desire to protect you and your daughter is too powerful that not even darkness can defeat it. Hahahaha! Amazing!" Ruby then turned to her lover and noticed he was different, he was calm.
"Incredible." Said Lord Aiden amazed. "Finally, you gained control of your Grimm side, now we can have a proper battle my son. Fight me and get your revenge thats want you want right? This is the reason you have trained so much and suffered so much isn't it?!" Aiden extended his arms with an expression full of joy. "I turned you into what you are today and now you will have your vengeance. You have become everything I dreamed you would become. The true King of the Casterwills with the power to rival the Gods themselves."
Geo stared him but then he turned his back on him. "No. I have more important things to deal with than you father. I no longer care about vengeance, all I want its to keep my family safe." He said with a serious tone. "I am tired of living with this hate, this rage for what you did to me. I...I forgive you father." Geo walked away.
"...I...I didn't ask for your forgiveness you bastard child!" He shouted in rage. "Listen to me you brat! I am giving you what you always wanted! Destroy my soul and join our Dark God that's the only way you will survive!" Lord Aiden fell to his knees. "Its futile kid, the Light God and the world will turn against you sooner or later, we are enemies of creation. Why fight at all?" He asked.
"If the world chooses to become my enemy, I will fight like I always have." Replied Geo. "As for the Gods, they have no right to judge us since they abandoned us. Whether we are Casterwills or not, they too will pay for the millions slaughtered." The big armored hands touched the ground, and they began to charge Aura. "You can become more than what you are father, all you have to do is believe. Thats what mother used to say remember?" His Grimm hands fired a large blast and the young boy was sent flying towards the castle, his expression showed determination.
In mere seconds he landed on top of an Ursa and with his right hand he pushed the creature's head down and crushed its skull against the dirt. "My soon to be fiancee is on that castle and you all are in my way. Leave or I will kill you, I don't care which." Yet the Grimm remained in their positions and thus Geo had his answer. "So be it!" He charged and the Beowolfs did the same but Geo's large armored arms extended and pierced through several monsters, ripping their flesh with ease. Then one hand smashed a Beowolf like it was a fly. The boy grabbed another creature by the throat and crushed it, then he threw the dissolving body away.
Several Apathys went to him with their sharped claws while the remaining Beowolfs charged at him from the side. Geo's large claw began to charge Aura and within moments a ball of energy was made. "World Breaker!" The large ball made of Aura was sent towards the Beowolfs and when it hit them an explosion erupted killing all of them. The Apathys surrounded the boy, and he used his big arms to shield himself from their attacks, then with a quick move of his two massive arms he threw the monsters in every direction some of them slammed against the castle's walls. But more beasts stood in his way, especially a big Beringel that was fully covered with bone-like armor and red markings across his chest.
The Beringel let out a large roar before going towards his enemy with speed and fury. He raised his arms and then brought them down but Geo blacked it. The ground beneath them cracked and the creature kept pushing the young warrior down. "Such brute force but can you compare to me?!" He released himself from the monster's grip and as he was about to launch his Grimm arms against the creature they were stopped by several Apathys that grabbed them and pulled them down. "That won't stop me!"
Then he received a fiery punch from the Beringel to his stomach that made him cough blood out of his mouth. The monster swung again and hit him in his face making more blood fly out. "You think that enough?! ITS NEVER ENOUGH!" Geo clenched his right hand into a fist and went for his enemy as the Beringel did the same. Both fists connected with one another releasing a small shock wave. The Beringel seemed to be smiling but that same smile quickly vanished as his arm cracked all over but it didn't stop there, it kept cracking and eventually it reached its head and within moments he exploded. "There's no point to punch someone just to inflict wounds, you have to deliver each punch as if they were a killing blow!"
"As for you..." He turned to the remaining Apathys. "Impel Forward!" Spikes erupted from his arms and the creatures were all impaled. Then he kept making his way towards Ruby, he was so close now. "I won't fail, not this time!" His determination increased, but then the ground began to shake violently and from the East the wall was breached by a massive Grimm. It was a Nuckelavee, this beast is a horse-like creature with an equine main body and a skinless humanoid creature that is fused with it. The humanoid body has long curved horns on its head, a mouth that looks almost sewn shut, and two elastic arms each with two clawed fingers. "Holy Shit! What the hell is that?"
"Geo!" Yelled Ruby. "I have faced that thing before with Jaune and the others, we can't beat it alone that thing is too strong!"
The boy listened to his girlfriend but in order to reach her and his daughter he had to go through the beast. He looked at his large Grimm arms and noticed that they were somewhat similar to the creature. "Interesting, it seems we have some similarities but which one of us is the strongest?" Geo was ready to fight. "You are between me and my family, that means you are already DEAD!" He launched his big arms and the Nuckelavee did the same, their fists connected and Geo used the shock wave to gain some distance then he jumped and launched his left claw towards the monster but the incoming attack was blocked. The Nuckelavee grabbed his claw and threw Geo against the ground first and then it threw him towards the wall, where he slammed pretty hard. But before he could fall Ruby grabbed him and pulled him up to her side. "Ahhhh! That was quite the warm-up." He joked.
"Don't be an idiot!" Ruby softly punched him in the head. Though he had suffered much his body almost showed no wounds, but what was more important to her is that her lover went against a horde of Grimm just to protect her and her baby. "Its really you isn't it? I need to hear you say it."
He smiled. "Its me my love. I won't let anything hurt our family." Then a large roar of the massive beast was heard and it interrupted them. "But we can talk later, first we have to take that bastard down!"
"I...I believe we can do it together." Ruby extended her hand.
Geo looked and agreed, he reached his hand to her's and together they began to fuse their Auras creating an orb with purple and silver colors. "Hahaha! Light and Darkness together! The perfect Yin and Yang. Light, the source of life and Darkness the source of death and yet this Darkness can unite with Light! Absolutely amazing!" Laughed the spider. "Go forward and show the world what you are made off!"
"GeoRose Cannon!" The large beam of combined Auras was fired and the Nuckelavee was completely engulfed by it. The large explosion was both silver and purple, and with that the battle was over.
Cerviel looked at them. "The Dark God won't be pleased with you father but..." He pierced Aiden's chest with his blade. "You don't have to worry about it any longer, but I will finish what you started I too believe its time the Casterwills came back to Remnant...one way or the other we will return."
