I turned the TV off, to turn it on again
Staring at the blades of the fan as it spins around
Counting every crack, the clock is wide awake
Talking to myself, anything to make a sound
...
Deeks sighed, as he clicked the TV off again, finding nothing amusing to watch. Those dumb reality shows just weren't the same without someone to watch them with. HE leaned back in his chair, looking up at the fan spinning on the ceiling, following the blades in a circular motion.
He heaved a sigh again and turned the TV on again, flipping through the channels aimlessly once again.
"I'm bored," he said aloud to no one in particular, standing up from his chair, shoving his hands in his pockets. The house was too quiet and still. "Maybe I'll just go to bed," he mused, trodding to the bedroom and flopping dramatically on his bed.
Monty, curled up in his bed in the corner of the room, lifted his head, chuffing at him.
"Yeah, yeah, sorry for disturbing your beauty sleep, you highness," Deeks deadpanned, rolling over and tucking his hands behind his head. "Wanna come up here?" he patted the bed beside him. Monty grumbled and put his head down. Deeks snorted. "Figures."
Deeks sighed for the umpteenth time, rolling onto his stomach and attempting to go to sleep. He felt cold, even though it wasn't cold in the room. He tossed and turned for a few minutes before caving and grabbing his phone, dialing the most frequent number.
"Kensi."
"Hey," Deeks started. "I know we were going to take it slower, but I- I'm lonely," Deeks admitted, sighing. "Can you come over?"
"I thought you'd never ask," Kensi replied. Deeks could practically see the grin on her face as he pictured her. "I'm on my way."
Deeks hung up, tossing his phone aside, grinning in anticipation.
...
I told you I wouldn't call, I told you I wouldn't care
But baby climbing the walls gets me nowhere
I don't think that I can take this bed getting any colder
Come over, come over, come over, come over, come ove
