Chapter One

Back in their home universe, their civilization was far advanced in everything people could imagine, there was even the largest library in his city that had every record of past events that occurred. Even as child, Cornelius would read such records, to simply satisfied his curiosity of the past.

But nothing prepared him to the real thing. For the oddest reason, there was nothing on record with the first Silver Millennium.

So finding out that the era he was in was indeed the original Silver Millennium was a bit of a shockingly discovery for the young boy. Even for his two friends, who were able to locate him almost immediately, they were astonished at the world they were in.

Even now, the age of the Silver Millennium was a somewhat 'great discovery' despite being in a difficult situation.

Cornelius, for his part in all of this, he didn't have the slightest clue to why he's here in the first place. Why did the glowing auras bring him here? It puzzled the boy a lot and when his friends arrived here, they tried following where the portal's entrance was located but it had disappeared when they got there.

They were stuck here, unless they could power up one with enough energy to take them home but that's where their predicament started. They were in ancient times, for goodness' sakes.

Though Silver Millennium was technologically advanced, earth was another story. Earth has technology similar to Leonardo da Vinci's inventions and though they weren't all different than the 21st century.

It was ultimately decided by Cornelius that his two friends should travel to other planets to see they gather intel about the universe they were in, even though he was greeted with disapprovals rather quickly.

Of course, this was brought up by the young boy because he felt he was responsible for the dilemma he and his friends were in. He could feel how they were and of course he didn't bring up on how they were coping so with a disbalanced mind.

So, he sent them away so they could do each research in the solar system, as Cornelius' mind told so, rather admitting the truth.

Destiny decided to go to the moon, to be closer to Cornelius if anything happens on earth, it was only a quick trip to the green-blue planet. She was sure that Marcus didn't know the slightest of what was going on in Cornelius' mind when he had abruptly told them, basically ordered, them to spread out to neighboring planets to gather research in this universe.

She knew the truth behind her friend's façade and it hurt her to think that he was holding himself responsible over what happened. It went so fast and yet, she knew that whatever word she could use to tell Cornelius that it wasn't his fault, it wouldn't change anything.

She knew and felt that this was supposed to happened, as much as she didn't want it.

But being the kind-hearted boy that he was, Cornelius was feeling down about the whole thing. He broke a promise and that was something he viewed as sacred and he broke it.

But something else called to Destiny when she arrived on the moon, she had thought that there was something about this era that called out to her. Yes, it's true that back home, they didn't have any information about the original Silver Millennium but a few people that her parents knew had often talked about it.

It was portrayed as an era of long- lasting peace and harmony but behind that façade was another story. It was indeed a grand era for the Silver Alliance, as it was called back then, and its citizens but it was not morally sounded.

Prejudice existed in all nine planets, but it strongly focused on planet earth with the rest of the solar system as it was excluded from the Silver Millennium for many unknown reasons. Some say it was because earth was also technologically advanced in its own right and a lot of Silver Millennium citizens were envy of it.

Others were over simple and let's face it, extremely stupid. Like, come on, how different were Terrans from the rest of the alliance aside from their mortality. So, Destiny had the general idea of this era, while being in a state of perplexing thoughts over the system of this alliance.

It didn't make no sense but it all pushed aside when the Queen of said alliance was introduced to her the moment she stepped foot on the moon.

"Her Royal Majesty, Empress of the Silver Millennium, Queen Serenity requests your presence, young miss. This way, please," a palace guard directed her towards the study room where she greeted with the Queen.

A lot of things were running through Destiny's mind as the rather tall and beautiful Queen of the Silver Millennium greeted her with a gentle smile, "Ah, yes we finally meet, little Miss Destiny," she spoke with elegance in her voice.

"I'm confused, why am I here, your Majesty? And how did you know my name?" Destiny asked, clearly puzzled by all of this.

"Come, sit and I will answer all of your questions, little Destiny," the Queen responded smoothly, while hesitate to comply to the strange queen's request, Destiny does so.

"I am certain that I do not need to tell you that you are in another universe since it's quite obvious that you and your friends are in a different era than your own. But I am glad you have arrived, my dear," Queen Serenity told her as tea was brought out to them, along with biscuits to snack.

"You still need to answer my questions, Your Majesty," Destiny inquired to her rather bluntly. In all of her studies and little research about this era, she never heard any Queen or ruler so of course, she was wary of the silver-lavender haired woman across from her.

The Queen gently chuckled, she understood Destiny's wariness.

"I understand how you must be feeling, I once in your shoes but I will get to the point, dear Destiny. I've been waiting for your arrival, Destiny."

"I know that in your own special power, you knew that this was meant to happen, the unexpected arrival of you and your friends in this universe isn't coincidence. I felt the pull of it in me as your youngest friend was taken in by the same pull but I don't know the real reason why he's here but I do know why you're here on the moon,"

"Which is?"

"I have a very special star to deliver to the galaxy cauldron and she called for a special type of guardian to guide her through her immortal life and that person is you, Destiny…"

Then it dawned on Destiny. Who this Queen was and who was her daughter, no it couldn't be! She thought as she recognized the odango hairstyle and familiar facial expressions, Destiny immediately knew who these two were connected.

The Queen would go on explaining how her family was connected to her line of family as they served their duties as Star Guardians to the Moon Goddess Selene. There was a tale similar to this; it was called the Star-Child and oddly enough, the Queen brought this up.

"It was said that goddess was indeed Selene who lost her youngest child who possessed marvelous power that was able to create anything the child wanted. It was called "Pure Energy" and the goddess and her beloved thought that with it, their child could change the world's point of view but the boy was murdered before he could even walk or talk so it brought such tragedy to the mother and legend has it, she and the mythical power are still searching for the star-child's reincarnation. But even I don't know if it's true but what I do know is that you are a Star Guardian, chosen by "Pure Energy" to protect my daughter, just as your parents did with me back then.

"So, what do you say? Do you want accept your duty and purpose, little Destiny? I understand that one day you will leave but for the meantime, you could still find a way to return home while protecting my precious Serenity,"

It took time for Destiny to decide but eventually she agreed, only to increase her research time and to kill time in this universe. But she soon realize that somethings are inevitable.

Some-time later, the newborn Moon Princess arrived and sometimes, Destiny found it hard to believe that she was going to meet the Legendary Princess-Guardian known as Sailor Moon.

Though, she was certain that Princess Serenity will ever know about her duty as a Celestial Guardian, she knew who she in this era and the many events that will take place here.

It filled her heart with worry for Cornelius.

In her heart, Destiny prays that he will not be involved in anything she was in. But her precognitive power, she knew that some way or form, he will be.

Aside from her constant worrying, Destiny found herself getting used to the moon. The Queen had made a room in the palace for her, despite being a full born Terran, she was welcomed to the Lunarian Court.

She had met the young Sailor Senshi and though she was greeted with some little hesitation from them, she understood them. There was a grand celebration in honor of the newborn Princess and such, Destiny took a peek at the tiny Princess.

She was covered in warm silky blankets of pure white, her beautiful white-silver hair glistening like crystals, her eyes were still closed but she knew she had gorgeous crystal eyes.

"Isn't she beautiful, little Destiny?" a familiar voice stated to her next to her, "Yes, she is, your Majesty," she answered back.

It was then when the whole room turned pitch black, all the guests stopped what they were doing and remained calm until a raspy voice came over them, the shadows of the room moved according to the uninvited guest.

"Such a grand celebration! It's a pity that I didn't get an invitation for the birth of the Moon Princess, oh well I'm here now…"

"You were not invited, Nehelenia," the Queen answered to the dark mirror image of the queen herself. It sent shivers to Destiny's spine as she looks over to the woman while shielding the baby Princess from any potential harm.

"Come now, you mustn't forbid me from seeing my beloved niece, dear blood sister of mine," Nehelenia continue on, her voice bounced around the room as the guests murmured among themselves.

It was no secret that the Queen herself wasn't from this solar system or even this universe and so it wasn't surprising that Nehelenia was indeed related to their gracious Queen. Still the resemblances were uncanny, Nehelenia had the same odango hairstyle as Queen Serenity, with the expectation of the color. The dark queen had dark hair with piercing eyes and if she looked at you, it give you goosebumps and shivers down to your spine!

"Leave now, this is my final warning. I will tolerate such darkness in my kingdom,"

"Serenity, dear, don't be rude. It's unkind to be this blunt, but you're wrong about one thing in this argument; darkness is something to tolerate in any world. If only you could accept my darkness, then you'll know what real ruling looks like, come take my hand, both you and the baby Princess…"

"I will not, if you know anything about darkness, then you must know that Light will banish any evil darkness and this wondering of yours will end now. I will not let anyone threatened my kingdom,"

Taking out her crescent moon wand with the Legendary Silver Crystal attached to it, in a flash, the dark Queen was being pulled into a golden mirror but before she was trapped, she countered one last time:

Here's my curse to the Beautiful Princess: she will die before she inherits the throne and all of her descendants will follow through the same course as she did.

And that was it. Afterwards, Destiny's duties as Princess Serenity's Star Guardian began and finally, the young girl knew why she was called to the moon. It wasn't long until the baby Princess grew rather quickly and now the eight-year Princess Serenity was a bubbling ball of sunshine, always by her beloved "Destiny-onee-chan!" the little princess beamed to her loyal Lady in waiting.

"Let's play, Destiny-onee-chan!"

"Sere-chan, hold on!"

Time has indeed past by, even though for them, it was like as if the princess was born yesterday and now it feels like another thing was going to take place.

For what felt like a long time, Cornelius was slowly getting use to this version of earth, he found a stable job in the capital of the Golden Kingdom. The boy has been here for as long as the Golden Kingdom was put in place to rule over the Terrans.

When he arrived here, there was only a handful of lords trying to create a stable kingdom and that was what, two centuries ago? Cornelius knew that people would take in his youthful appearance so he glad that earth was still one big country for him to travelled around to avoid detection from anyone.

So now, he was rather comfortable at the moment.

Currently, he was working in a merchant's shop with an elderly husband and wife so he was living with them, helping around as much as he can. The job also provided board and food so it was indeed comfortable.

It just of those days where the young boy was delivering some new gems to a little store in the marketplace, it was the last delivery of the day and Cornelius was glad to be almost done for today.

The boy finished up his last delivery rather quickly and decided to grab a small snack and eat it while sitting on the stone fountain; silently admiring the nice breeze and the blue skies until something came into the boy's viewpoint.

Suddenly, a younger boy popped out of nowhere, a big happy grin on the fella's baby face. "Hi!" his young voice chimed in to Cornelius, his happy midnight blue eyes gleaming in what the older boy could understand.

"Hi,"

"What's your name?" the boy continued, which Cornelius could also understand, he was trying to make a friend but honestly, he was just very tired today.

"My name is Cornelius, what's yours?" he asked rather boringly.

"Oh, my name is Endymion and I am the crown prince of Earth and this Golden Kingdom!" the boy said in a straightforward manner.

"Oh really?" Cornelius responded sarcastically, "Don't you think it's a little unwise to tell someone you just met that you're a Prince, talk about being a brat," he finished off with some bluntness of his own.

"Well, I am speaking the truth. So there is no harm done," the young prince mimicked Cornelius' sarcastic words, this kid was smart. Still a brat, though.

"Well, I guess we're done here. Sorry kid, but I am very tired and I just want to eat and sleep until tomorrow so yeah, bye!" Cornelius finished off with a small wave but he felt a small tug from his tunic shirt and saw that the little prince kept him from walking away.

"Hey! Don't go, I just found you!" Endymion replied, his eyes held determination in them, as if he didn't want to leave his new friend. The prince's words kind of reminded him of something.

"I found you!"

Those little words that echoed through his dreams, it was almost eerily.

"What is it, do you need something, Your Highness" Cornelius responded to the little prince who made an annoyed look on his baby face. "Don't call me that! Between you and me, my name is Endymion!" the little prince chided in with the older boy.

"I don't think so. Between you and me, I shall call… Dimi! Yeah, sounds better!" he argued back, earning the young prince a grin on his face, "Yeah! Much better!"

The sun was going down when the two boys realized it was getting late. They had played around the surrounding forest all afternoon, their differences aside. But it was clear that Endymion didn't want to part with his new friend so… "Can I see you again tomorrow, Cornelius?" he asked as they were walking back to the marketplace.

It was the first time in a long time that he made a new friend who wanted to spend time with him so in his young but cold heart, Cornelius was happy to hear Endymion's request.

So, of course, he said, "Of course Dimi, if you want to see me, I'll be right here in the marketplace."

"Yay! I shall see you tomorrow and the day after that…" little prince cheered on as they continued walking down the cobbled pathway.

And true to Endymion's words, they did see each other every day. The little prince would skip his studies to play with his new best friend and no matter how hard Cornelius tried to deny the princes' requests, he still comply to each and every one of them.

Time went by quick, Destiny with Princess Serenity as they played around; enjoying their endless youths. Same goes with Cornelius and Prince Endymion, they were in a timeless bubble, never noticing that one day, their paths will be crossed.

It was, of course, inevitable.
