For the first time in what seemed like forever, Cornelius felt comfortable in a place that wasn't his own era and that is saying a lot. As an immortal child, he had seen the passage of time in over the 100 years he has been here.
He'd seen many wars, swift changes that occurred on earth, but he realizes that despite all the atrocities he witnessed, befriending someone he felt at ease was worth the passage of time.
The ever-precocious tyke, Endymion (or better known as 'Dimi') proved himself to be of comfortable presence to the immortal boy, despite knowing who he really is to him. Just only seven years of age, he was very clever at dodging his tutors and to play around with Cornelius most afternoons. He was also very observant, which didn't surprise Cornelius in the slightest.
Despite his young age, Dimi was far smarter than any regular kid. The young tyke had known his friend wasn't fully Terran, but he didn't bring up again until he was twelve; that was when he finally asked Cornelius to tell him the full history of his time in over the pass 100 years. Before the rise of the Golden Kingdom and his birth.
"I just think, whenever my tutors approached the topic of the history of Earth, they make it not as stupendous as I would think. It's all about how 'we are' still dealing with 'rebellious immortals' and I don't want to think like that!" Dimi spoke of the matter, with an air of annoyance in his golden aura.
"Besides," he continued, "You're not like that! If anything, the only time you might get in trouble, I know it would be for a good cause and that's acceptable! So please, if you can, please tell me everything!" the young tyke asked.
So, he did. "Well, it's a lot but I will do my best at not leaving anything behind. Of course, feel free to ask me questions throughout the discussion," Cornelius told his friend.
He told Endymion of a time when his precious Earth was considered a 'free planet', meaning that anyone of different species could come and live on the green planet of wonderous things. It was a short-lived time, but it was peaceful, for the most part. Although the immortal residents were blessed to have long lives, they were mostly kind-hearted people who worked hard every day to supply their families, as any other person would.
And then, some groups of rebel Terrans grew suspicion among the residents of the land and began to prosecute the immortal residents and their mysterious origins. Over time, the animosity grew, and earth no longer was a free planet. The majority of Terrans believed that their immortal residents would eventually take over the planet and become the superior species, which was absurd by Dimi's reaction.
"That's ridiculous! How can anyone believe in such stupid lies?! This is a planet for anyone to live on, no matter what other planet they're coming from, they came here to look for a better life!" the young prince fumed around.
"And you're right. Planet Earth is indeed a free planet for anyone if no one brings harm and corruption to this place. But it really did happen, I only got here at the begging of it all and a lot happen afterwards," Cornelius said to Dimi.
"Please continue!"
"Okay"
It felt like it happened yesterday, when Cornelius remembered the time, he first arrived here in this universe. He was confused by the era he had arrived in. But soon after, through Destiny, he found out about everything. He was in an era that was considered a taboo topic back home: the forgotten first Silver Millennium.
The immortal boy continued his story with the little prince, recalling to him when an intergalactic alliance rosed to the ranks of being powerful and resilient. This alliance firmly established in the very beginning of the one hundred era, they had a benevolent ruler who believed in goodness and justice.
This alliance came to be known as the Silver Alliance and its ethereal kingdom, the Silver Millennium Empire. Located on earth's white moon, this kingdom consists of eight planets as their stronghold pillars of protection. Each planet had a celestial guardian, chosen ones to protect their beloved Crown Princess.
A princess who had a special soul-bond with Dimi since the moment she was born into this world. No doubt, Dimi knew that special as well.
"I wonder if it's the same person whom I talk to when there is full moon" he quietly wondered.
It was a very special soul-bond that has transcended time and possibly fate again.
Eventually, the topic continued. While he felt he could trust the young prince, he kept some information regarding himself in little grey areas, Cornelius told Endymion of how he slowly aged and witnessed many things that changed the course of history on earth.
Life for the immortal foreigners became harder, as many rumors circled around and soon after, another group of nobles decided to build their own society and monarchy. It got especially harder when the moon kingdom got involved.
After the Golden Kingdom was established, the reigning Queen of the moon had proposed for the Golden Kingdom to join their Silver Alliance to protect and help earth's development but the Royal Court of earth refuse.
The Terrans wanted their independence and not to be under the mysterious watchful eye of their celestial neighbor.
The young king saw no reason to join with immortals who will outlive them and to possibly contaminating the royal's bloodline with any Lunarians.
A myth of a cautionary tale of intermingling with different species and creating a new species in a form of a child, that was the sole reason for their refusal.
Most of the immortal foreigners were of Lunarian origins, so it created distrust among the people of Earth. Most of those people in those days were common people who were superstitious, and it terrified them to think a child could bring so much anxiety.
Earth's monarchy enforced it more strongly when Endymion was born and crown as the first Prince of their Golden Kingdom, it was by sheer fate and against all odds, Dimi managed to meet the one person he shouldn't have met and befriended. Though he wasn't the only the young prince has yet meet and form another connection.
This, of course angered most of the members of the Silver Alliance. It was indeed absurd to have all the immortal foreigners to leave Earth and go back to their home planets. Either that or extermination, some did leave and relocated to one of the eight planets but the rest, like Cornelius, remained on earth.
It's been years since the king gave out that order and as promised, the stigma of extermination and death arose recently, and it was becoming suffocating.
And Dimi knew this.
Unlike his father, Dimi was blessed with the protection of the sun in a form of a powerful crystal. He was indeed earth's chosen celestial guardian and while he has much to learn, his friend's safety was his second priority.
And as time passes by, the young prince knew his friendship with his immortal friend was ticking away and he knew, he had to act quick.
Endymion knew his royal duties was filling up his young life but the days he would spend with Cornelius was something he would never forget. Days like when they went out in the woods near the palace to camp out overnight and it was fun. Or when they played fun games or even wrestled it out in the training grounds.
Of course, Endymion would often ask his friend about his life back home, he would get silent and always give out a vague answer. And it always got the young prince more curious about his friend's personal life. It wasn't a matter of any suspicion, not at all! He trusted Cornelius with his live, and he knew the caring character of his immortal friend.
It was the little details of what Endymion saw from Cornelius. Aside from how his hair seems to change depending on the moon phases, it was his aura that drew him in. It was awfully familiar, the kind of comforting and peaceful that he felt whenever he talked to the lovely girl from the moon.
For the naïve boy that he was, he was also persistent that when he is older and hopefully, he will get his friend's full story, when he was ready to do so. In between now and until he's much older, the young prince could wait until he was a grown adult. He will be better king than his father would ever be and that was enough.
If only he knew that his path was going to be very rough after his friend's departure.

Over the years, Endymion had developed his empathetic powers and learned how to use the sacred crystal to protect earth. Only he, the holy guardian priest he has yet to meet, and his friend Cornelius knew the existence of the Golden Crystal.
The young prince couldn't trust his father, he was never able to after his mother passed away from childbirth. Knowing what kind of character his father was, Endymion knew he would abuse the power.
His father had noticed Cornelius in the many occasions Endymion brought his friend to the palace, a rookie mistake. It raised suspicion from the Terran King and the young prince stopped bringing his immortal friend to the palace, but the damage was done, and he knew Cornelius' life was in danger.
He thought it repeatedly. And he knew that it was his best option to send Cornelius to the one place that would offer sanctuary. This decision ate him away, if only he could do the same for everyone else who was in grave danger of the extermination the king planned to do in the matter of days.
Endymion had managed to convince his sworn Shitennou and soul brothers to let him have his own birthday celebration out in nature and just be a child of 13 years old. Of course, they allow this one special request from their prince if he stays close to the Terran palace.
And so, he traveled off to his chosen place to camp out before the storm hit on both him and Cornelius.
This was going to be their last camp out and it was sad because the prince was sending off his closest friend, the one who taught him all the good things one must find in everyone. Endymion won't be able to hang out with Cornelius as much anymore, but he knew that it wasn't goodbye.
From over the years, he had known Cornelius, the immortal youngster knew a great deal of diplomatic matters and protocols a person from a royal court would know. It amazed Endymion and he knew he could count on his friend to help him out when he gets older.
Cornelius was already at the place when Endymion got there, his camping gear was already set up, he was about to lit up a campfire when he saw his dark-haired friend walk up.
"Hey Dimi, happy birthday!" he said.
"Thank you, I can see you've been here for a while, need any help with anything?" Endymion politely asked, sensing a tense in his voice.
"You, okay? You seem 'polite' and both of us know you're not always polite…" Cornelius joked around.
"Oh please! You're one to talk!" he joked back to his friend and immediately they fell into a friendly banter between them.
Nightfall came and they continued their camping trip by sharing stories of ghouls and Cornelius showing Dimi how to roast marshmallows with chocolate and graham crackers, another discovery from his universe that once again amazed him.
The white moon made her full appearance and once it did, Cornelius notice his dark-haired friend had his attention focused on the white orb of light.
"Are you still thinking of her, the girl from the moon?" he curiously asked his dark-haired friend who quickly blushed profusely. Of course, he would get awkward, especially at his age.
"It's not like that! I mean sure but it's a little complicated! It's not a girl!" he clarified to him, but Cornelius knew it wasn't. "Sure, I believe you." He said sarcastically.
"It's not like that!"
"Okay then, what do you think about when you look up to the moon?"
It took a long moment for Endymion to think about Cornelius' question, it was true that he did think about the lovely girl from the moon and how her prayers had always calmed his heart. But of course, he will never admit it to his friend. Whenever he did look at the moon, he has hope that his path will always have moonlight in it and that his goals get accomplished and that he will grow up to be someone great and helpful. These are what he often wished with all his heart whenever he saw the white moon.
In that moment, under the moon, he prayed that his closet friend will be safe in Elysium.
"Cornelius," he paused, "there is something I must warn you of," he quietly said to his immortal friend. Cornelius turned his head to the left and saw how serious Endymion looked in the moment.
"What's wrong?"
Endymion took a deep breathe, mentally preparing himself. He allowed his precious earth to calm his nerves, "Something horrible is going to happened soon and I need you to know this before it happens. My father has declared war on the immortal residents, and he won't stop until he has wiped out every single one,"
"And I need you to understand that I must send you away before anything happens to you. I cannot stand this atrocity on anyone, and I will do anything in my power to stop it. I will not stand by this, I won't!" he said, his voice trembling but Cornelius could still feel the determination in it.
He was becoming more persistent but determined and that was something he admired in his dark-haired friend. He was not the naïve boy anymore, but Endymion kept that hopeful thinking; that everything will be alright.
He sounded like an older brother, telling his younger sibling to go and find safety as he dealt with the firing. It wasn't a request; it was kind order from the Crown Prince.
"Okay Dimi, I will go where you need me to be, but I promise that I will help you in every way I can, I won't abandon you," he swore, and he knew he will keep it until the next they see each other again.
The reminder of their camping trip, they spoke of where Cornelius would go for safety and how to reach Elysium. The young prince gave his friend a special key that allowed him to travel to the sacred ground of Elysium.
And while Cornelius slept away, Endymion continued gazing at the white moon, wishing, and praying to the beautiful orb that his friend is kept safe from all danger.

She had to see this coming; this was the second most important person she had in her life, and she couldn't find her. But of course, the little princess was becoming more mischievous as time went by them.
Destiny had been Princess Serenity's handmaiden since the moment she was born and since then has remained her lovely handmaiden. It had become a recurrence of the young princess of ditching her studies to play hide and seek and since the inner sailor senshi had too much on their hands, Destiny had no choice but find her little moon princess.
Destiny has searched all over the moon palace and finally hit her- she was most likely in the praying room on the other side!
Over the years, Destiny had perhaps indulged the little moon princess on way too many topics of the wonderous blue planet earth. But she knew it was in her sweet nature to learn and adore the blue planet and she suppose it was the same on Cornelius' side with the young prince.
The recent events with earth had somehow troubled the little princess and she often found her in where she thought a lot of the earth and that is where she once again found her.
She had her small hands together and her eyes were closed, as if she was praying to someone and she was, this Destiny knew by heart.
She can hear from what chibi-Serenity-chan was saying, "I promise to keep your friend safe," she mumbled quietly, unaware of Destiny's presence in the brightly lit room.
It didn't take long before Serenity had finished her daily prayers to her beloved and noticed Destiny almost immediately and gave out a lovely smile at her handmaiden, "Destiny-chan!" she beamed at her.
"I was looking for you, Sere-chan!"
"I'm sorry but I had to talk to my friend on earth he seemed sad," she told her as they walked back to the palace. She trusted her enough to not tell the others of her special connection she had with the blue planet and Destiny would never do such a thing.
It was already complicated enough with the blue planet on their end, slowly she felt prejudice creeping in some of the Sailor Guardians and soon it was going to get more complicated with them as well.
But in the meantime, she will continue supporting her little princess in everything she wanted to explore; including her friend from earth.
