"Long ago in the time before time," a feminine voice said "There was a civilization called the matoran, bio-mechanical beings who set up a colony in our home called Remnant. They lived in Remnant peacefully until a war occurred 750,000 years ago. The matoran vanished from Remnant as a result. Thus, came the Grimm. Beings made of shadow without a soul. The humans then banded together and formed teams of huntsmen and huntresses to combat this threat, but it was a lost cause until a survivor of the matoran culture was found. He later trained seven individuals whom had power over six elements. This is their story as they roamed remnant."

5 hours after Cinder's death

"no way, you're true toa now!" Nora Valkyrie exclaimed looking at jaune Arc and Pyrrha Nikos. The two nodded. "Take a look at Ruby," Pyrrha said looking at the Toa Vale's approaching leader. "she's taller than Yang now." Nora crossed her arms. "Yeah right, I don't believe you." She said. "You sure about that Nora." a certain Rose's voice was heard. Opening her eyes, Nora found herself eyes leveled with Ruby's shoulders. Looking up the ginger haired girl saw Ruby grinning sheepishly.

"What the…?" Nora said jumping backwards. "What happened to you?" Lie Ren asked as Nora zipped around the newly christened toa of matter. Ruby's eyes darkened remembering when she shoved Krayix aside saving him from being hit by Cinder's attack, she, however wasn't as lucky. She'd been launched off the tower.

"Cinder launched a fireball that would've knocked us both out of the tower leaving Pyrrha defenseless. I shoved Krayix aside whilst taking the hit and plummeted to the ground. I survived, but barely." Ruby said tightening her fist. "When my fellow toa got to my side, I was paralyzed from the neck down and dying." Nora covered her mouth and ren's eyes widened when the scarlet toa of matter said this. "Krayix gave up his power to save my life. It's because of me that he's no longer a toa."

"Do not doubt yourself young toa," an aged but still young voice said. turning the group of five turned to see a man in a rustic red tunic and black pants while a yellow trimmed white poncho draped over his shoulders, approach them holding a bo-staff. Behind him was Blake Belladonna, a newly made Toa of water. "While it is true that I gave up my power to save you. I did so because it was necessary as well." Jaune furrowed his eyebrows.

"How so Turaga Krayix?" he asked. "it was my destiny to train you along with the rest of the Toa Vale…" the human Turaga said before he looked to his depressed successor. "and save your life Rubes." The new Toa of matter looked at her mentor. He winked and gave her a grin.

"Everyone ok?" Professor Goodwitch asked. Ruby walked up to her shocking the professor with her new height. "Miss Rose… what happened to you?" Ruby sighed and recounted what she had just told Ren and Nora. To say the least Goodwitch was shocked.

"I see, it seems that Toa… I mean Turaga Krayix was correct about the second coming of Toa." Krayix looked around while coming up beside the scarlet toa of matter. "Where's Ozpin?" the Turaga asked. "Cinder killed him while attempting to stop her from taking the rest of the maiden's powers." The toa bowed their heads in sadness while Krayix tightened his grip of his staff. Blake noticed the distressed look on her Turaga boyfriend's face.

"It's ok. You can't save everyone. You stopped cinder from killing Pyrrha and Ruby." She said with a comforting smile slightly easing Krayix's guilt. Blake then did something that shocked everyone. She kissed Krayix on the mouth. During the four months of being a couple, Krayix and Blake only kissed each other's cheeks.

"So, what now?" Yang asked before gently pushing Weiss away. Ruby looked to Krayix. "I may be a toa now, but I think that the Toa Vale could use some Turaga leadership." Krayix nodded. "I suggest that we all go separate ways for now. Pyrrha to haven, Weiss to atlas." The mentioned toa nodded. "Yang needs time to recuperate. Neo, I'd like you to go with her to patch." Neo nodded before placing a hand on the blond toa's shoulder.

"Ruby, I want you and Jaune to take Ren and Nora to search for Vakama. If he truly is on remnant, he could prove helpful in training you in mastery of fire." Ruby looked at Jaune and they nodded. "and what of you Turaga?" Yang asked. "I, Toa Yang, will accompany Blake to Menagerie."

One week later

"Dad, its really Ruby." Yang said as Taiyang shoved the older looking Ruby Rose out of the house. "Bloody hell, old man let her speak." Neo said attempting to pry the elder blond away from her fellow toa. "Dad, please let me in." Ruby whined. Suddenly a bo-staff wacked the elder blond on the head. "Ow." Tai looked towards the offender before the staff poked his chest.

"Calm yourself and listen. She isn't an imposter Mr. Xiao Long. She really is Ruby Rose, your daughter." Krayix said. "Who are you?" tai asked. "I am Turaga Krayix a friend of your daughters. Now, if you'd let your youngest daughter in I'll explain why she's like this." Tai crossed his arms. "Prove it's her." He said Ruby thought of something to prove to her father.

"Whenever you made fresh cookies, yang would distract you while I snuck away with some before you'd catch me." the Toa said. Tai looked at Ruby and his eyes widened. For a split second, he swore he saw ruby as a fifteen year old, before it changed to what she looked like now. "Ruby…" he said. "Heh, hey dad." The scarlet toa of matter said sheepishly while rubbing the back of her head.

"So, you saved my little girl from dying?" Tai asked. Krayix nodded. "At the cost of becoming a Turaga." He said. "I see, if there's anything I can do let me know." Tai said. Krayix nodded. "Now. Down to business. I've asked Ruby to search for an old friend of mine, that may be roaming Remnant. I don't know how long it'll take." He said. "I assume since Yang is to stay here to recover. Ruby will be doing this with a different team." Tai asked. Krayix nodded.

"I'd like Neo to stay here as well… to help around the house, give yang moral support and protect patch." Tai raised an eyebrow whilst looking at the ice cream themed girl. "We have huntsmen. No offense" He said. "None taken luv. I can deal with any Grimm that may threaten patch by myself." Neo said. "You can use my room Neo while I'm away." Ruby said. "Thank you… sister." Neo said before blinking having realized what she said. yang and Ruby looked at her then at each other. All three laughed.

"I don't get it." Tai said. "Toa consider each other as siblings dad." Ruby said. "Krayix called me sister since he's a former toa." Tai looked at Krayix. "Tradition." Was all the Turaga said. Tai nodded. "I'd best get packed." Ruby said before heading upstairs to pack. "Don't forget to visit your mother before you begin your mission." Tai said. "I won't.

"Well, I should get going, Blake is not one to be patient." Krayix said. "Amen to that." Yang said. "Be sure not to have kittens while your traveling." The elder blond teased having learned of Blake being a faunas. Krayix returned the teasing with a one fingered salute.

A/N: chapter one book 2 done. Now this will be different from my other stories. Each arc will focus on a specific character or characters. Act one will primarily focus on Yang and Neo. No, this arc isn't a Baked Alaska fanfic (Yang x Neo). They will be more like surrogate sisters more than anything. Please read and review. Constructive criticism is allowed. That being said. peace
