Chapter 5- Cena needs his Irish lover to come back home with him

Summary: John extremely misses his boyfriend, ever since he became the new WWE champion and may want to hear Shea's special question to him

Timeline: random past years, including Post Fatal 4 way event

Flashback to Fatal 4-Way 2010 (John's POV)

As I was preparing for my biggest match of the event, I was looking for a piece of advice from the former World Champion Jack Swagger as he was too upset to give me advice ever since he lost his title from the smallest competitor of them all: Rey Mysterio. I felt bad for him for losing the title but he wished me good luck on the match as he is going to see it from his locker room, crying in pain while having Maryse on his side, joining his company. As I look for anyone else to give me good advice with nice intentions, I find the love of my life Sheamus just standing there looking worried until I waved my hand in front of him so he can snap out of his worried zone.

"My love, you look extremely odd today. Is something bugging you lately?" I asked with a worried look on my face as he looked up at me in a sad look.

"I can't believe I am fighting against Edge, Randy, and most of all...you. I don't want to ruin the night by taking your championship away from you," he replied back with a natural voice, hinting at some sadness in his eyes.

"Baby, I know it's just a fatal 4-way match, I'll still love you even if you win the title from me or not, you are more important to me than my championship. I know it's going to hurt but I want you to celebrate for me and how much dedication you put into ever since you first stepped foot into this company. Look on the bright side, after one night of Raw, you asked me out to be yours and luckily I accepted being your boyfriend. I love you too much. Don't worry about me losing, you gotta do what the script tells you to, okay?" I replied with a sincere tone of voice that made Sheamus smile at me as he got close to me and gave me a long, passionate kiss.

"Thanks for the advice, love. I'll try my best and win the match for us. Hope the silly Nexus group doesn't bother on interfering throughout the whole main event. I'm honestly sick and tired of them having you as their target. I'll save you from those goons. Welp, I'm next to head to the ring. See you soon my fruity pebbles" he replied back to me while blowing me a quick kiss and headed towards the curtain to make his impacting entrance to the ring, joining Randy and Edge.

As I suddenly hear my music, I act like my on-screen character as the hero of the company and that's when I do the salute while the cameraman is trying to get a glimpse of me, then finally starts running towards the ring, sliding under the ropes in excitement as I feel a load of energy coming from the fans as they cheer loudly for me throughout this main event. Once giving the WWE title to the referee, I run towards the ropes and throw my hat in the crowd and perform my usual pose before going to my assigned corner. The music stops and the ring announcer is announcing each and everyone's hometown places, height, and weight; I just sit down waiting for him to announce my name so I can do one final energy outburst pose. He finally mentioned my name, as I threw my shirt to the fans once again as the match was close to starting.

The match finally starts and that's when Randy and Edge get knocked to the ringside early as Sheamus and I exchange a near high cross and a near Attitude Adjustment. Edge comes back into the ring after me and Shea fights Orton on the outside, blowing each other a series of punches towards each other. The whole match continues as we continue our assaults on the opponents before Sheamus hits his DDT on Edge and me as both sets of our legs hang on the middle of the rope. He gets a near fall as Randy comes back in the ring and takes control of the match for half an hour. As Edge recovers from the rope slide, he prepares to deliver a spear towards me but I reverse it and set him up for the Five Knuckle Shuffle whilst the fans are going wild for my next move. I finally nailed it towards where I wanted it and bam! Edge deserves what he got from me. Later on in the match, Sheamus and I exchange several blows as my love awkwardly falls out towards ringside, as I get Edge into the STF position where he is in the middle of the ring! At first, the Rated R superstar struggled and eventually made it to the ropes but gets pulled back to the middle for several more minutes before Randy comes from the sides and breaks up the hold. He tries to pin Edge and ends up getting a two count.

As the match continues, I have Edge up for my AA but he gets out of it and I receive a full blast brogue kick from Sheamus! One, Two- as Randy shoves the referee to break the three count! Shea nearly had this match won as he looked at him with a death stare for a while before dodging Edge's spears and finally hitting Orton. Once again a near fall and the camera cuts backstage to see the new World Champ Rey Mysterio, Evan Bourne, and DX watching the whole match from the monitor until they hear suspicious noises coming from behind and unfortunately, they ended up as their new victims as Jerry Lawler yells that the Nexus are here, attacking innocent people again! Then the evil rookies came out of the ring in my direction and suddenly my view went black as the whole NXT rookies were assaulting me, hoping Edge, Randy, or Sheamus will come and help me but they attacked only Orton and Edge but why not Shea!? Of course, he comes out of nowhere and sinfully pins me to become the new champion.

Before I could move any longer, I was picked up unconsciously towards the locker room before those goons can do any further damage to me as I was then placed down on the couch, how badly hurt I was until I opened my blue eyes again and sees Shea smiling at me causing me to look at him in confusion.

"I did what you told me to do. For right now, you are way more important than any championship that I am currently holding and come to spend the post-match with my injured love, carrying you before the Nexus did more damage than you had before they ended up breaking your rib cage. You may need some healing but my love for you is always there, no matter what the situation is about. I love you and let's get cleaned up okay?" Shea said as he carefully picked me up so we could head towards the showers to get ourselves cleaned up and rest so that our bodies can be recovered.

"Shea, I...I love you too baby. Thanks for saving me from the evil rookies from further damaging me with their acrobatic moves. I feel bad for the other two since right now they received twice the amount of pain from them unlike me if you didn't come and take me away quickly" I replied back weakly as he helps me clean up and then puts me in different clothes for tonight, being careful to not to hurt my injured ribs.

"I know love. It looks like you may need to see a physician to check on your ribs. I'm afraid to lose such a wonderful guy like you because it means everything to me when I am around you during our love times. Now, let's go home and I'll take you to a nearby clinic tomorrow morning" he replied back as he kissed my forehead gently as they left the arena where the new and former champions spend the rest of their night contently with one another.

-end flashback and John's POV-

John wakes up on a chilly Christmas morning as he feels an empty spot next to him on their bed, causing the Cenation leader to panic about where Shea could be until he leaves a note on the table and he reads the message he left him.

Johnny, I am visiting my family and don't think that I am running away from you. On the contrary, I'm thinking about you and I cannot wait to see your beautiful figure so I can bring the surprise to you once I buy things from shops in my hometown. Merry Christmas my love. Sincerely, Sheamus

He happily places the note on his heart, cherishing how much the message meant to him and he couldn't wait to see him back home so they can spend their Christmas night together. Cena spends almost half of the day decorating the tree by placing custom ornaments, baking cookies and sweets for the two of them to consume during movie night, and wrapping up Shea's favourite sleeved shirt inside a nice box. Once the tasks are done, he happily wears a red and white shirt, black shorts along with knee-length short candy cane stocking socks, and has a piece of candy on his hand so he can surprise his boyfriend. Meanwhile, Sheamus had told his family and friends that he is going to propose to John and he is heading towards a ring store so he can choose the right ring for him. Everyone feels happy for the couple since the Celtic Warrior made his way out to buy his love an engagement ring until smoke comes out from the kitchen, interrupting their dreamy love story with bad news and getting back to reality.

Sheamus finally made his way to the ring store and one perfect ring caught his attention, where it was a rose-gold halo ring with a stone in the middle and it could be customised by adding the first letter of John's name but it could be extremely expensive from the original cost. He kept looking for any other rings beside the rose-gold one until he found a silver Claddagh ring featuring a trinity knot tying the heart on the centre as that choice sounded better than what he first saw and finally buys the ring, as he makes his way outside the shop and returns to his family on packing up his things so he can go back to see his loved one.

They noticed him return to the house safely and sees Shea totally excited to ask John the perfect question that he will flip out in pure emotion, possibly fainting. His family sees the look on his face, knowing that spending the future with the one and only Cena sounds like forever in love. As Shea said goodbye to his family, he started making his way toward their home in pure happiness until he forgot about buying flowers that matches his personality. Quickly going to the nearest store, he found the perfect kind of flowers that did match his personality, vivid bright colours that looks beautiful for him. As Shea bought the flowers, he rushes back to their home, finding out that John was dressing up attractively hot, especially with the lolly in his hand. This drove the Irish man wild as he approached his smaller love, gently taking off the candy from his hands and replacing them with his hands, intertwining together while staring at each other's eyes.

"Did ya miss my love?" Shea asked, just loving to be back home with his loved one.

"Of course I did. How can I not miss you?" John replied back, giving a small smile.

"Well, since we missed each other dearly, I have a surprise for you" Shea's eyes gleamed with love, takes something from his back pocket and slowly gets down on one knee with a ring on the box causing John to look at him wide eyes, jaw dropped down in shock. "John, since I first met you, I have started sharing all my love with you secretly and it started to grow on me once we started hanging out together after our tapings for Raw, making me trust you even more on getting to know your true character in the world. You are such a sweet, humble man I've ever fallen in love with despite me being a heel and acting cowardly to you but there was something about you that made me feel a fire in my heart which is your nice and gorgeous smile. Cena, will you marry me" he asked tenderly, taking a moment on how his loved one will react.

John took several minutes thinking about it and finally makes his decision with tears full of joy. "Of course Shea! I will marry you!" Shea finally gets up and puts the ring into the tan lover's finger and both of them kiss each other contently, getting lost in their own worlds as their Christmas together was full of surprises.

-years later-

John and Shea had finally tied the knot in Ireland and finally is willing to love each other forever eternally until death calls them apart. The small lover has no regrets for marrying his former on-screen rival and real-life sweetheart whatsoever felt grateful for the Irish man coming back home to him and spending their Christmas day together. However, he is 5 months pregnant with a baby girl inside of him and feels the guts to tell Sheamus the news of their upcoming family member.

"Hey my love, what's the excitement on your face?" Sheamus asked with a smile on his face, loving how big John is getting as he hits the 5th month being pregnant.

"Well, I am pregnant with a baby girl inside of me" John replied back with a sincere voice in him.

"Congrats baby! I always wanted a baby girl that has your skin tone but the rest looks like me" Shea replied, rubbing John's tummy tenderly before giving kisses causing the small lover to laugh and flinch in a good way.

"You're tickling me!" John laughed as he felt his tummy being kissed with love.

"Come here Mr Farelly-Cena, I have something to say to you" Shea requested to his love to come close to him.

"Yes, love?" John replied back with happiness in his eyes

"Merry Christmas love" Shea gave him a long hug that followed by a sweet kiss on his forehead. After the hug, he rubs the Boston native's tummy once again before giving each other a long kiss

"Merry Christmas to you too Shea" John replied back, contently spending his Christmas with his husband.
