Tyrian braced himself as the Toa's broadsword collided with his gauntlets. He could actually feel the heat radiating from the blade. "What in milady's name?" the scorpion faunas thought as Ruby vanished. While Tyrian was busy looking for Ruby, Jaune charged forward with his blade in its great sword mode.

The toa vale of air swung his sword just as the scorpion faunas ducked. Tyrian, however, didn't see Nora swing her hammer into him. She might not be a toa, but she'd help her friend regardless. Ruby reappeared with her harbinger replaced by daggers with red brass knuckles (red and black version of Asuma's blades from Naruto.) Tyrian brought up his arms just before the scarlet toa of matter began to corkscrew the daggers against his gauntlet's blades sending sparks flying

"Who trained her again?" Qrow asked barely keeping up with Ruby's lightning fast strikes. "His name's Krayix." Jaune said as he too could barely keep up with ruby. "He taught her well." Qrow said smirking. Ruby then entered a deadlock with the scorpion faunas. "Impressive for a fifteen year old huh." Ruby taunted with a raised eyebrow and a toothy smirk.

"What? You look like you're in your twenties!" Tyrian exclaimed. Ruby snickered. "It's called drinking milk Kohli head." She quipped before breaking the deadlock. The daggers then switched back to crescent rose. "Leave now. I don't want to kill you, but I will if I must." Ruby said shifting into her signature pose. Tyrian cackled menacingly before rushing at Qrow. Jaune brought up his shield to clothesline the scorpion faunas, but the fauna slid underneath.

"Die Branwen!" Tyrian yelled stabbing Qrow. However, instead of going deep the Blade only pierced the skin. Tyrian glanced down to see his feet trapped in stone. The air suddenly turned cold. The crazed fauna had a sense of dread wash over him. Tyrian slowly turned his head to see Ruby with a cold expression on her face and crescent Rose replaced by a red version of Yang's Ember Celica. Her right eye no longer a sliver color, but an electric blue with a small pupil and a single Tomoe. Ruby clenched a fist and blasted herself forward while pulling her fist back.

"Mr. Branwen move!" Jaune said pushing the lightly wounded man out of the way just as ruby closed the distance. "You BASTARD!" Ruby yelled punching Tyrian. A plume of dust and rubble flew everywhere as the shotgun gauntlet form of crescent rose fired a shot. "Holy cow." Qrow said as the wind suddenly picked up forming a stationary tornado strong enough to pick up debris, but not people. In the middle of said vortex was ruby with electricity sparking from her right eye.

"Leave Tyrian before I do kill you." She said. to Jaune and the others curiosity, ruby's voice sound like a combination of both her voice and Krayix's. the scorpion faunas decided to do the smart thing and ran. "Good move." The agitated scarlet toa said calming down. However, her right eye remain in its transformed state.

"Whoa, Ruby that was awesome. " Jaune said as ruby placed Crescent Rose back in its usual spot. "Thanks," she said before rubbing her head groaning. "Short stack, you ok?" Qrow asked with a hand over his wound. "Yeah, I'm good. Just light headed." The scarlet toa said turning her head making everyone, save for jaune, back up. "What's wrong?" Ruby asked

"Your right eye Rubes. It's different." Qrow said giving her a pocket mirror. Ruby raised an eyebrow. "Never thought that I'd get this." She said inspecting her eye as it returned to normal. "You only unlock it if you get too stressed or extremely angry." A voice said. "At least that's what the fire spitter's friend told us."

The group turned to see the source of the voice and saw two golems. One was red, the other was green. Qrow unsheathed Harbinger. "Who are…?" he began to ask "Vakama and Matau." Ruby said cutting him off. This caused the two golems to look at her.

"You know who we are?" Vakama asked. "Yes we do." Jaune said. "We're sort of the Toa Metru's successors. Well, Ruby and I anyways." Matau Frowned. "the only human Toa I know is Krayix." He said. "He's my and Jaune's mentor." Ruby said gaining the Toa Metru of fire and air's attention.

"What do you mean?" Vakama asked. "he taught us how manipulate our elemental semblance." Jaune said "I'm air and Ruby's elemental semblance is.." Ruby cut her fellow toa vale off. "Mine is matter. I'm Krayix's successor as the toa of matter." She said before looking at Pyrrha's predecessor. "Vakama thank you." Vakama raised an eyebrow. "Why are you thanking me?" he asked. "Thank you for saving my sister and my toa sisters at the battle of beacon."

"So, the two I saved were toa?" Vakama pondered. "we were still toa in training at the time of the battle. We became toa after it." Jaune said. "Not too long after that Krayix wanted Jaune and I to search for you since Blake, our group's toa of water, saw you before passing out." Ruby said

"Where's Krayix now?" Matau asked. "In menagerie with Blake, visiting her parents." The scarlet toa of matter said. "Why would he be with her?" the toa Metru of fire asked. "They're dating." Jaune said flatly. "Quick stop, did I hear you correctly." Matau said. "Yes you did wind flyer. Krayix is dating Blake." Jaune said. "I never thought the fire spitter had it in him." Matau said as Vakama gave him a deadpan look.

"Krayix was the only human on Metru Nui, how would he be able to date someone." The toa Metru of fire said crossing his arms. "Yes, but Blake isn't human. she's a faunas." Ruby said. "A what?" came the collective response as the scarlet toa sighed. "A Rahi person." She said. "Oh."

"So, what now Ruby? We found him shouldn't you contact Blake?" Ren asked. "I will once we get to mistral. Right now, we need to keep our guard up in case Tyrian comes back." Qrow raised an eyebrow. "Why?" he asked "Because he'd kill you uncle Qrow. Want to come with? We're headed to mistral to meet up with our friend, Pyrrha, who's our group's toa of fire. It's a good few weeks trek from here." Ruby said looking at the two toa Metru. Vakama nodded as he and Matau walked alongside the two toa vale, the rest of team RNJR and Qrow. However, little did they know was that they'd encounter a Grimm from Ren and Nora's past.

Meanwhile in Atlas

"Father I told you it's my duty as a toa to defend atlas." Weiss said yelling at her father. "Your duty is to the company!" her father, Jacques Schnee shot back. It took all of Weiss' will power to stop herself from freezing him. They was a knock on the door. "Come in." Jacques said his eyes not leaving Weiss as Ironwood entered.

"Ah James so nice to see you. Is there a reason for the visit." The Schnee patriarch asked. "yes actually, but it doesn't concern you." Ironwood said. "Then why are you here?" Jacques asked. Ironwood turned to Weiss. "Toa Weiss, there's a vigilante down in Mantle that appears to use your elemental semblance. I believe that it may be your predecessor." Weiss' eyes widened.

A/N: that's it for part 2 of the air and matter story arc. Yes I know it was meant to be 3 parts but I figured we'd get the ice story arc rolling.
