So somebody asked why I gave everyone clothing, well every other bird was wearing full clothes, so I figured, make it so on this world they have similar nudity taboos as earth, so enjoy and review. And I hope you all had a great Turkey Day!

Scrooge finished the puzzle and sighed as he leaned back in his chair in the mansion's dining room, dressed in a simple shirt and kilt as he looked around the room with a somber smile on his face as he heard nothing in the mansion. Since his family had moved in he had gotten used to a lot more noise around here but he was happy that the kids were out with Donald, they all deserved some free time after being stuck in here for the last few weeks. And with Delia away at that mental retreat, and she would be back soon since today was her last day there with the reports they had sent back for her, she still hated the taste of black licorice after everyone said she was as stable as she could, and had been since before the lockdown and she was due back tomorrow.
Her isolation was something she was working on trying to manage with her PSD and he was proud of her for that, but then he was proud of all his kids, from Webby to the kids to Donald. "And all my kids are gonna make it, by being smarter than the smarties and tougher than the toughies. And how Donald handled college was all him just like Della and pilot school."
Scrooge smiled as he looked into his memories. Donald and Della had always been self-supporting and learned how to make the right choices for their futures instead of letting them pass them by. When Clinton Coot had died, the two had used what he had left them wisely in Scrooge's mind. Donald had used it to go to college and Delia had gone to flight school. Scrooge frowned as an old thought came back, he wasn't sure if that was true with Donald.
Donald had been given a key and letter to open privately then he had left, and when he had come to the mansion for New Year's Eve that year he had said that it was for an old heirloom plus an artifact he had sold and had gotten a good deal for and used what he got to go to a good college, a college that he had gotten a good deal with because of Clinton being an alumnus of the first class. He hadn't ever told them what school he had gone to but he was happier than he hadn't been two years later. When Scrooge had pressed Donald for answers all he said was a fire had destroyed an heirloom of Clinton's in the school when a mad man had tried to destroy the place, the madman had died in what he set off but Donald was always quiet about it, and when Delia had disappeared Donald had dropped out to raise the kids and Scrooge was proud of him for that.
"Ahhh life takes you strange places as you age," Scrooge said as he grabbed his cane and walked towards the doorway, last night dinner had a few leftovers, with the kids not due back for a few hours he decided to go get something to eat. As he entered the entrance way a crash caused him to stop and look towards it with a frown. "That's odd, they shouldn't be back yet."
As he opened the door he saw that Launchpad was back and frowned as he saw the state of everyone. They were all in one piece but there was a tiredness about them that he only saw when they were coming back from adventures. What could have happened at the Duckmall, all they had gone to was a simple convention!
"What happened and why are you all back so soon?" Scrooge called out from the doors and Webby grinned.
"The mall got invaded by aliens!" Webby said with a grin. Scrooge looked confused and glance at Donald who sighed as he nodded.
"But why would the Moonlanders coming to it bother anyone or cause this?" Scrooge asked and Donald grinned bitterly.
"Not the Moonlanders, it was the Evronians," Donald said bluntly and Scrooge looked shocked and
"What!? Those things that idiotic Avenger fought?! Are you all okay, you weren't hit by any blasts were you!?" Scrooge demanded as he rushed towards the kids, looking them over before looking at Donald who shook his head.
"We escaped from them when it happened, and then Darkwing Duck, Gizmoduck and the Duck Avenger saved us! I can't believe that the Duck Avenger is real!" Huey said as he looked at Scrooge who looked at Beakley who looked shocked and Scrooge looked at her with a glare.
"Beakley, why are you surprised about this?" Scrooge demanded and Beakley looked away.
"I saw a thief, one of those people we have on file for possible FOWL agents. I followed them and then… my mind is a form then to when Donald found me," Beakley said and Scrooge looked shocked and horrified.
"You were what!?" Scrooge demanded and Beakley nodded.
"I found her tied up and got her away," Donald said with a smile as Scrooge looked at him.
"And Jim Sterling survived from what happened at the movie," Drake spoke up and Scrooge looked at him in shock. "And he went insane, he's calling himself Negaduck."
"What!? I thought he died….wait a moment. Who are you?" Scrooge asked as he looked at Drake.
"This is Drake Mallard and his…." Donald trailed off and Drake stepped forward and opened his mouth but Gosalyn interrupted.
"Adopted daughter Gosalyn, we meet when Bulba stole the credit for my grandfather's work on the Ramrod device, sir. Our car was damaged and Donald said we could stay here for the night," Gosalyn said and Scrooge's eyes winded and he looked at Drake who only shrugged. Scrooge looked at Donald, wondering how he knew the person behind the 'real' Darkwing Duck and Donald looked at Scrooge with an unreadable expression on his face.
"Drake's an old college friend of mine. His car got frozen over and I offered to put him and her up on the 'boat if you won't." Donald said and Scrooge felt a spark of pride and smiled at Donald before something Beakley said.
"Wait, where were you when this happened!?" Scrooge demanded and Donald looked away.
"I used to walk the beat there, and after walking around I thought something was wrong, I warned a friend of mine and went looking for her!" Donald said and pointed at Ms. Beakley who nodded.
"He saved me. I was knocked out and then Donald saved me and brought me to the medics," Beakley said and Scrooge looked at Donald with shock and Donald just broke his knuckles.
Scrooge looked from Drake to Gosalyn before looking at Beakley and seeing how she was holding herself he nodded at her and she nodded back, he sighed and shook his head. "Pizza night kids! And Beakley I want to talk to you and Donald later, Donald you get the orders, I'll be in my office!"
As the group moved into the mansion, Donald looked at his watch and smiled, nobody but Huey noticed his actions and frowned. "Got it Uncle Scrooge! Okay who wants what?"
Huey frowned at his uncle started to take orders, something was bothering him but he couldn't tell what it was. The attack on the mall was bothering him, more the fact that Beakley was gone during the attack. Sure she said she was chasing down a spy that she saw but during that? Someone could get the jump on her or was it Negaduck's forces? And then there was the person who attacked Lena, she had asked them not to mention it to the others, but they had to deal with that too. And with FOWL still out there, he was worried that this might even be more than the McDuck Clan could handle.

Kay walked through Duckberg, her mind going strange places as she moved. As she passed a gathering she saw Angus on the TV screens through the window of a store and slowed down to listen in.
"… And you heard it from me first folks, the Diabolic Duck Avenger is back. And with the alien menace that attacked us once before making another play for our planet one has to wonder if the two aren't related…." Angus said before he was drowned out by the cheering of the people.
"HELL YEAH! THE PALADIN'S ALIVE!" A burley weasel cried out as the rest of the crowd celebrated.
"I KNEW IT MAN, I KNEW IT! NO WAY THE AVENGER WOULD GO DOWN LIKE THAT!" An Eagle in punk clothing said as he high-fived an Otter next to him in the same type of clothing.
"But the aliens are back, that's terrible!" A female sheep in a blue dress and hat said to a hen in a pink dress next to her.
"Don't worry grandma, the Paladin is on the job and he'll protect the city with Gizmoduck!" A child ram with glasses in a suit said as Kay smiled and walked away. As she looked around she saw that most of Duckberg was celebrating, even a few cops were yelling happily that the Duck Avenger was alive.
"Man oh man, the Paladin is still kicking?! I mean even the LT let free a tear when he thought he died," A cat in a police uniform said as Kay passed him and his partner.
"I never knew a city could like a vigilante so much," Kay said as she walked away before she snickered. But then that goes to show what kind of luck he has sometimes. She thought with a smile.
She held back a sighed as she moved away, Donald was truly something, and even after everything she didn't know how much he was hiding. And I think that he's hiding a lot more than I know. I mean if he was able to hide that then the chance exists that he could be hiding other secrets. But who am I to talk about them, mom still doesn't know what me and dad do. She thought as she walked towards an old-looking building.
As she slipped into the building she moved through a high-tech security checkpoint and entered a room with three elevators at the fall end. Stepping into one she pressed a button and down it went, moments later the door behind her opened revealing a lobby with other agents of the Agency moving about. Kay walked out of the elevator and moved towards a hallway to the left and dodged the others as she moved. A few moments later she came to a doorway and walked through it into an office with a white feathered female duck with blond hair in a simple short haircut in a purple dress and heels sat behind a desk watching Angus's report on a flatscreen on the wall next to the door. She saw Kay as she walked into the room and nodded as she turned the TV off.
"Ahhhh Kay, how was the mission? Were you able to get away before the commotion there?" The woman asked and Kay shook her head and sat down before the desk.
"Well… I ran into Agent 22. And according to DD she's not working for FOWL, it seems she's working for his uncle instead," Kay said and the woman frowned and looked down.
"That's surprising; if that's true then she's not involved with FOWL…. Then who could be in charge of it?" She muttered and Kay chuckled and the woman glared at her.
"Kay, remember that your report is all that we had to go to on that score and part of why we fingered her!" The woman said and Kay winced and looked away.
"I know, and I was wrong. I blamed her for that event but she wasn't responsible but by god, I will find who was and talk to them about it!" Kay snarled and the woman winced and nodded.
"Your right, I shouldn't have brought it up. I'm sorry but this she was the only
"I know. And maybe I overreacted, but maybe we're not as far up the creek as you think," Kay said with a grin and the woman looked at Kay in confusion.
"How? We're back a square on that front, but we'll find out just who is leading that group sooner or later but when?" The woman asked and Kay grinned.
"How about today. DD fingered Bradford Buzzard as the Director of FOWL," Kay said and the woman gasped and looked into space with shock before she slammed her head into the desk.
"Wonderful, this is just what we need!" The woman moaned said and Kay nodded with a smirk that caused the woman to scowl. "Come on, most of our efforts were trying to figure out how they got all the prohibited tech, McDuck Industries is the perfect answer but most of our work is worthless now!"
"Yeah, but this means that Double might be in place to fill in some of the blanks for us," Kay said and the woman looked up and sighed.
"You're right, we need to bring Double in, have a long talk with our Intel people in charge of the FOWL case and see what he knows," The woman said and Kay nodded. She made to turn and looked at the woman with a worried look.
"I know that the Erasure is permanent, but we could use some of our old agents back," Kay said and the woman nodded.
"Don't I know it; god if only there was someone else to takeover I could go back to my old job, and if we could get even one other S class Agent back with Double and you, we'd be in a much better shape," She said and Kay frowned and looked at her friend.
"It's that bad Liz?" Kay asked and Liz just sighed and rubbed her eyelids.
"No, it's not as bad as it could be and we're slowly getting better. With the new way to gather funds and pay our agents, we're in the black so to speak but with so many of our old agents under Management watch and keeping our activities balanced between protecting the world and getting funding, I just think Jay would have done better at this, and we don't have the Big Boss anymore." Liz said and Kay nodded, Jay J had been one of the best and most loyal leaders the agency ever had, and when the Big Boss AI had been destroyed during the turn over to the Management to protect most of their agent's identities, they had lost track of a lot of retired agents, Jay J amongst them for many agents shame.
"Yeah but what about that traitor Head? Is there any chance of Management finding him?" Kay asked and Liz grinned and shook her head.
"No way, there's no way that's possible. As far as the staff at the retirement home is concerned I'm his only remaining relative and that he has senility! And even if they find him, the Erasure is as of now, completely foolproof, " Liz said with a grin and Kay snickered, traitors did deserve to be punished and with Head in a home without his memories, the old man was being looked after until he died; a better fate then what the traitor deserved.
"Yeah, but they could find whoever we had checked him in and if they track us down that way," Kay said and Liz shook her head with a wary smile.
"No, that's impossible. The account we used is being left alone beside funded by deposits here and there only by checks, Head is the only one who authorized it and I used that wig you love so much on the platinum," Liz said with a smirk and Kay nodded.
"So back to what happened at the mall, with the aliens back, are we upgrading our defenses in case of another invasion? Kay asked and Liz nodded.
"I ordered the armory on the top floors to be reinforced and moved a gathering room nearby with a few dorms to be set up there in the area we haven't been using yet. If another grand invasion happened we'll handle it, and protect people, falling back afterward of course. We have enough escape routes that if we have to burn this place, we'll be okay," Liz said and Kay nodded, a strange feeling of vertigo suddenly hit her and she almost stumbled as she grabbed the desk.
"Still feeling strange Kay?" Liz asked with concern and Kay nodded, Kay just looked at Liz and sighed.
"Yeah, and I've been giving a clean bill of health. And about the problem at the mall, I wasn't in it during the energy curtain came up," Kay said and Liz nodded.
"Good, good. And we've got a call from one of our watchers, the FBI is making a move against what they think is the Duck Avenger's base downtown in the slums," Liz said disdainfully and Kay raised an eyebrow.
"What; you think it isn't?" Kay asked nonchalantly and Liz shrugged.
"I've been in this city a long time; the Duck Avenger's first appearance was around the middle and the high districts. Stands to reason if it was anywhere then logically it's not there, and during the Gang Warfare Months, it was the site of one of the last battles between the Police, two Gangs, and the Avenger. And that place is where the recent gang that tried to get protection money from us is based, B-Barry was building a team to raid the place tomorrow night, B-Black is currently watching it from two streets away, so we'll have eyes on whatever happens," Liz said with a smirk and Kay giggled a little.
Kay blinked and it took all her training not to react to this, her hand stayed away from her watch. "The military!? What are we doing about them, I mean if they move on a possibility that they found the Avenger's base, what about us?"
"Escape procedures are being updated and we're looking into moving most of our files to another location but where, we don't have an idea just yet, but we'll look into it," Liz said and Kay nodded, exchanging a few more pleasantries before leaving the office.
As she walked through the halls of the office, she looked at her watch and wondered if she could talk to Uno about a place for the Agency to move to. If the Tower was what she thought it was, then if they could have some space there to even hold their documents and labs, they would be a lot safer if they ever had to sanitize this base.

Angus got out of his car, a scowl on his face as he walked towards his apartment building. So the Avenger is back, wonderful! I was worried that he had died after he disappeared for so long. The city was free of super trouble for so long so maybe he decided to retire until this event, but still, I wonder…..what are the odds that Donald was there as well? Angus thought as he walked into the building and stopped to collect his mail before he got into an elevator.
Moments later he walked into his apartment and sighed as he shook his head as he put hiscoat on a rack and walked to his computer and sighed as he turned it on. As he sat down on his chair he saw a message on his phone and activated it.
"Angus, Ziggy here. Great piece on the attack on the mall, the owners loved it. Listen, when you come in tomorrow I want to talk to you for a bit, we need to talk about a story I've been researching on my own. I think it might be connected to what happened at Duckmall, see you man," Ziggy's voice said and Angus nodded and sighed.
"Got it boss…..god I can't believe that I still like working for you after all these years. Still, you make a great backed fish and pumpkin pie," Angus muttered and looked up as his computer beeped. As he saw an email from his mother and read it, scowling as he did so. So Cook is staying away from the cove, weird…. He sent men in and they just stole some dirt from the mountain peak, but why? What are you after? But then there's Donald, he was there and he knows the Duck Avenger, but does he really, es Donald have a way to contact him? He thought as he navigated to a file he had on Donald and started to look over it, seeing Donald's nephew's names and their birthdates he scowled and sighed.
"So the boys are old enough to have been hooked on Darkwing Duck after Mcduck tried to make that movie…and what am I kidding, how could he have been the Avenger?" Angus muttered as he closed the file and sighed before a beeping caused him to look down. "He would have had to have tricked most of the city, and while he's good he's not that good! And that means he would have to have worked out of the tower back when the station was there! No way in hell is that possible!"
Opening another E-mail he frowned as he read the file, a strange look growing on his face before he started to chuckle and then laugh madly. "I knew it, I knew it! I knew he was still alive! I can't wait until I can finally start to find out just what that crime boss was up to!"
As he laughed madly he looked at the screen spun around to reveal the words, 'Lost philanthropist found with granddaughter!' above a picture of the Ducklair Foundation Logo

Scrooge sat behind his desk looking over the last few papers before he threw them off the desk as he slammed his fist down. Scrooge was feeling strange, during the first invasion he had been at a conference in Asia, he had been able to get his contract but when he had come back, well Bradford had tried to move the company into weapon development but Scrooge had put his foot down and stopped that. Looking back Scrooge thought that if Bradford had his way then he would have used the company for FOWL, well more than he had.
Scrooge bent down and started to pick up the papers, looking down he saw the Historical research department budget and frowned, Bradford had said that he had shut it down but the researchers were shocked when Scrooge contacted them, they thought they were still employed and had been shocked when they were told what Bradford had done, looking through the finances Scrooge had discovered that Bradford had moved the funding for them from all around the company, cutting corners here and there in a masterful job of finincal wizardry. He had been having them work off-book on the Missing Mysteries and other legends, the head of the department said that Bradford had said that Scrooge was looking into something from South America and wanted them to work completely separately from the company because of a scheme of Gloomgold and a possible spy.
Once he had gotten the section back into his control he had ordered them to send him everything that Bradford had them do, he had even called in SUSH to look over everything. He hadn't wanted to do it, but he hadn't had a choice. And he was already hearing reports of most of the staff being cleared, only a few
"And I still don't know what he's after. Nothing makes sense, he's former SHUSH and he had to have started this back then, but what is he after, what is he after?" Scrooge muttered to himself as he sat the papers back on his desk and sighed. As Scrooge looked over his company's finances he once again cursed how Bradford was causing more trouble for him then FOWL could if he stayed to keep an eye on it. No two ways around it, his company needed to find a new Chief Finical Officer if he could only find one he could trust!
A knocking at the door caused Scrooge to look up as Donald and Beakley walked into the room. He sighed and looked at them both, a scowl on his face. "Well, what happened?"
"I saw Red Primrose following us," Beakley explained and Scrooge looked at her before growling and slamming a fist onto his desk.
"Red Primrose, that witch!?" Scrooge demanded and Beakley nodded as Donald looked between them blank-faced
"Who?" Donald asked, hiding a smile as he saw Scrooge get mad and it took all he had to keep from laughing out loud at the way they were acting.
"A thief, she….wait a moment. Bradford was the one who said she was a thief," Scrooge said and Beakley went still as Donald winced.
"So was she against you, Bradford or FOWL, that's the question then," Donald said softly and Scrooge nodded as Beakley scowled.
"I never even thought about that, after Lena….. …" Beakley began before stopping, holding her head as a scene flashed before her eyes. Wait, she fought against me because she thought I betrayed SHUSH for FOWL? Why would that even bother her, what is this? She thought as Scrooge and Donald looked at each other.
"Beakley, are you okay?" Scrooge asked in concern as Beakley blinked and looked around before nodding.
"I…remembered something, Primrose and I fought with each other before my blackout, I think she thinks I'm part of FOWL for some reason," Beakley said flatly and Scrooge's mouth dropped open as Donald looked at Beakley sharply, his fists suddenly tightening as he realized why Kay had thought that.
Donald didn't know how to handle that, he knew what Kay must have thought that Beakley had done, he wanted answers and revenge for that as well. And if Beakley had been at the base when they had attacked all those years ago, then that was a good reason to think why she was in FOWL. He looked at Beakley and thought about how he had never pushed her for the reason for her retirement, and he wondered if he should have.
As Donald thought about this Scrooge looked down at his desk and tried to keep his anger off his face. How many people has that fool managed to have me hate them or think of them as being my enemies, or the opposite?! I need to look over everything that bastard did, I need a new CFO! I have to bring in someone from outside the company, Bradford will probably have leverage over most of the people I could promote to his position, so I have to bring someone in from outside…. He thought with a scowl as he looked at the folders on his desk. "Anything else I should know?"
"Only that Donald knows the head of security at the Duckmall and the second in command," Beakley said bluntly and Scrooge looked at his nephew.
"I used to work the beat with them there, long story," Donald said with a shrug and Scrooge nodded, letting the point go for now. "Still Uncle Scrooge, any luck at finding a new CFO?"
"A few leads lad, a few," Scrooge admitted and looked down at his desk, a small frown on his face.
"Good," Donald said and looked at the folders, a strange feeling going through him as he saw the name of the folder on top, only his training keeping his eyes from widening. That's! I need to work and get in contact with her and talk to her or try and talk to her first. I can't let this compromise my job, and with my other one going back in service, I need to either sell the boat, move it or maybe move back to the Institute…. And I can't let anyone know about it, especially with my luck the way it is I'll have everybody find out everything before too long. The expedition was one thing, but this might be too much. Donald thought as he looked at his uncle.
"So the top files, your picks then?" Donald asked and Scrooge nodded absently.
"Aye lad, and I've got a few promising candidates….. I'll need to talk to each of them of course, and this time I'll need the lads to talk to them," Scrooge said and sighed. "But the kids and I are heading to one of my labs on one of the islands the company owns, Bradford supposedly decommissioned it but he put it on lockdown and Fethry found that out when he brought that Kaju of his there to set up a nest."
"I'll be going with him for a security check, if everything goes smoothly we should be back in time for the interviews," Beakley said and Donald barely kept a grin from his beak as he started to come up with a plan.
"Aye, but a few of them will be getting in the days before we're back and I need someone to pick them up, I could have Fenton do it but with those Aliens back….." Scrooge said and looked into space. I could ask Drake to stay around, but with how Saint is acting up, and this Negaduck business, I can't. Scrooge thought and sighed looked down, missing the smirk on Donald's beak.
"I'll stay back and pick them up Uncle Scrooge; they are staying at your hotel uptown right?" Donald asked and Scrooge nodded.
"Are you sure Lad? Della will be flying with Launchpad and I was thinking of inviting the girls along as long as their guardian agrees, a nice vacation for everyone for a few days," Scrooge said and Donald laughed.
"I'm sure Uncle Scrooge, I've spent enough time on islands for the next year!" Donald said and Scrooge winced and nodded, willing to let it rest.
Duckworth came into the room through the wall and coughed. "Sirs, the delivery boy is here with supper."
"Thank you Duckworth, well come on you all, time to eat!" Scrooge said with a laugh. As Scrooge moved sun shined down on the top folder, the name 'Josephine Ladargere' was on it.

People watched a four-story building in the slums of Duckberg was surrounded by SWAT vans and army trucks with a few police cars in the mix. Around the perimeter a few cops looked at the building as a car drove up, a few people saw the brown feathered parakeet with short black hair in a white blouse, a sleeveless vest, red pants, and brown shoes get out of the car and glared at the building and a white-furred dog in tactical armor with FBI on it walked over to her.
"Agent Flagstarr, good to see you. Sorry about this mam but we…." The dog began and Marry-Ann Flagstarr interrupted him.
"Who the hell ordered this?! You were supposed to only scout out this place! After the last time we did this dance we almost created a shit storm that almost closed the section!" Marry-Ann said and the dog held up his arms.
"Mam, the army pulled ranks and move in on their own! We barely made it in time to get the civilians back!" The dog said and Marry-Ann looked at him before an explosion was heard from the building. Marry-Ann turned sharply and saw smoke coming from a busted window and ran towards one of the cars closer to the building, drawing her gun and swinging next to an ape in a military uniform hiding behind it who jolted at her and opened his mouth when she spoke up first.
"Marry-Ann Flagstarr, FBI. This was supposed to be my gig, what the heck happened?" She asked with a growl and the ape swallowed and almost saluted before releasing what and who she was.
"Mam! The Lieutenant Colonel was taken out when he was frozen on the first floor! They had some kind of alien blaster that they were using to hold us off, a few moments ago we got contact with our boys, the last thing we heard was one of those things from the mall is here, its attacked both us and them, it's trying to break out through the front!" The ape said and Marry-Ann winced and nodded.
"We can't let it get to civilians! Where are they!?" Marry-Ann demanded and the ape looked to a beaver holding a tablet showing the routes their forces had taken and highlighted a group on the second floor. Great! We can't let the press see this, and we can't let them get onto the street… Marry-Ann thought as she looked at the building and nodded.
"Okay, you three with me, the rest of you go around the other way and use the fire escapes to get above them and we'll pincer it between us, and what's that?!" Marry-Ann demanded as she pointed at a high-tech looking gun.
"Devolver Mam! This model can affect those things and only them thank god." The Ram holding it said and she sighed, she didn't want to know how he was so sure about the last thing but beggars can't choose. As some of the law enforcement moved to get the civilians out of range Marry-Ann made a choice.
"With me, you've got a shot take it!" Marry-Ann said as she ran into the building as some of the others moved to take the fire escape while three SWAT and the ram followed after her.
Inside Marry-Ann ran towards a staircase and the sounds of battle above caused her to stop as two people came down, both of them in army uniforms with one being carried by the other.
"You! What's the story up there?" Marry-Ann called out and the wounded one looked up at her.
"That thing is coming this way, the other hostiles are all down and have ice all over their heads! The captain is right behind us with the rest of the guys!" The wounded one said before Marry-Ann could say anything a commotion from above and yells interrupted them.
"FLASHBANG OUT!" A called out from the staircase and everyone covered their eyes moments before a loud bang and a bright flash came from above, blinking through it Marry-Ann saw two dogs in army uniform with a white feathered goose with a bandanna on following behind them, the dogs each had machine riffles and the swan had a pistol in his hands.
"ALL FORCE, TARGET THE STAIRS AND FIRE!" The Swan bellowed and looked behind him as one of the Warrior Evronians stumbled down the stairs and everyone started to fire at it, but their bullets only clipped the ice armor that regrew.
"WE NEED A DEVOLVER NOW!" The swan roared as he fired his machine gun.
"HERE! FIRE!" Marry-Ann commanded and the Ram fired the devolve moments before the Evronian blinked and looked down before it turned into a blue plant pod.
The swan sighed and put his pistol away into a holster on his right side. "Good. You two go back up there and make sure that every one of the hostiles are down or frozen over. Devolver go with them and make sure that there aren't any more of those things. I want this place cleaned in half an hour so we can get ready to move out soon!"
Marry-Ann looked around as the soldiers started
"STAND DOWN NOW! Nobody move!" Marry-Ann called out and the soldiers stopped and the Swan turned to glare at her but stopped when he saw Marry-Ann wasn't wearing any tactical gear beyond a vest with FBI on it as three SWAT operatives with FBI on their armor came into the room.
"Who….who are you?" The swan got out and Marry-Ann looked at him.
"Marry-Ann Flagstarr, FBI, and this is my beat and my case. So who are you and why are you here. And I sent some people up there to do a sweep down, call out to any room and floor! You two go with them and make sure there isn't any blue on blue! " Marry-Ann commanded as the SWAT operators moved up the stairs with two soldiers following behind them.
"Everyone else; do a sweep of the floors, try and find anything like that time with those extremists! Move!" The Swan barked and looked at Marry-Ann who glared back.
"Well?" Marry-Ann demanded and the swan swallowed as he looked at her.
"Mam, I'm Major John Lakesworn, Army Rangers. We were getting ready to deploy to the Middle East when our Lieutenant Colonel got a call and heard about this tumble. All I know was that he gave us orders to attack and here we are," John said as he saluted her.
"Who called you in?" Marry-Ann demanded and John looked at her with an inquisitive look to his eyes.
"I heard it was you people…" John said in confusion and Marry-Ann frowned.
"We didn't send any message to you all!" Marry-Ann said to John as his eyes widened in confusion.
"We got a message you need back up, it had the daily security word and everything!" John said and Marry-Ann swallowed and looked at him in total shock, something was wrong here but she didn't know where the rot was from.
"We'll figure that out later, for now how many of your own did you lose?" Marry-Ann asked softly and John sighed and looked away.
"Five and the Colonel, but….. it could have been worse. None KIA, everyone is just injured with two frozen over, plus the Colonel who is the only one with a full-body freeze. I was in the thick during the last time these bastards came back, we got a way to fix them right?" John asked and Marry-Ann nodded.
"The Avenger does or will. The message that led here was tricky enough and had a few remarks that let those of us who've been on his case long enough to know it was a red hearing that would lead to something related to the case, hence why we were going to only investigate and have the heavy arms if we needed them," Marry-Ann said and John looked down and took off his helmet and cursed. "So you have an idea what was responsible for this Charlie Foxtrot?"
"Maybe," John said softly before smiling. "Up for a cup of coffee tomorrow afternoon? I'd prefer to talk in a more….louder place."
Mary Ann opened her mouth before she noticed that John was looking at a soldier who stayed with them and was trying and failing to listen in. She nodded and pulled out her phone and flashed a number, John nodded and walked outside, Marry-Ann following.
"I'll leave a van here for all the wounded, we've set up a hospital at the outskirts of town where we can look over these people until Duck Avenger gets in contact with us," Marry-Ann said and John sighed and looked around the building. A door was open and revealed an office and as she looked at it she saw a shadow move and went still, gesturing towards it and flashing a few old Ranger signs at John who recognized them and nodded, moving with her to both sides of the door and flashing a few signs at Marry-Ann and she nodded.
Abruptly the two of them burst into the room, John's weapon raised high as he swept the right as Marry-Ann swept the left. A few moments a beast cat meowed in fear and ran out the door through their feet but Marry-Ann grabbed it.
"Hey beautiful, hey. We're not gonna hurt you," Marry-Ann said as she petted the beast cat who started to purr at her. John rubbed its ears and looked it up and down and nodded.
"Looks like a stray, female too. Wounds on her mean she wasn't being kept here…. and this place is barely anything." John said as he looked around the room, a desk and computer with an old-looking rotary phone on the desk. The computer looked at least ten years old and Marry-Anny frowned as she looked at the back of it. What's the matter with that relic? I mean it's not even… her thoughts died as she realized what was bothering her. The only wire was connected to the monitor and the power cord was gone but it still had power.
"So do you mind letting me take the computer, I mean my boys are probably a lot better at this then….. what is it?" John asked as Marry-Ann handed him the cat.
"Hold her for a second. I need to take a look at this," Marry-Ann said as she moved towards the computer and reached around until she found the way to open the tower and slowly opened it to reveal the insides had a blue semi-organic look to it. "HOLY!"
"Yeah, that's under my orders. Any and all alien tech is mine to confiscate," John said softly and looked at the insides of the computer. This looks like the kind of things the egg heads are working on back at the base, and with this stuff, we might have an idea of where the bastard collaborators are, and then we can put them in the ground! He thought as Marry-Ann looked at the computer and shook her head.
"Yeah, that's fine. I doubt the best minds back at the bureau could figure out if this thing wouldn't eat our systems, but I want all the survivors. We need to find out where they got this tech!" Marry-Ann declared and John laughed and nodded.
"Sure, if what I think is behind my orders then I don't want anyone alive anywhere close to them. Good working with you Flagstarr, but how'd you know those signs?" John asked and Marry-Ann laughed, smiling at him and was about to speak when she heard someone step on a loose board to their right! The two of them turned towards it, looking at a bare wall with a sol light fixture set into it. As Marry-Ann looked at it she was reminded of an old case of hers and took a chance, pulling it down and feeling a click as a door opened, revealing a small Frog with glasses, black hair in a white shirt and black suspenders.
"Are they all captured or dead?" The Frog asked and Marry-Ann nodded and the Frog smiled and started to cry tears. "Oh thank god! I'm Marvin, they've been holding me captive for the last two weeks."
"Sir I'm Agent Marry-Ann Flagstarr of the FBI, you're safe…safer now. Please come with me," Marry-Ann said and Marvin sighed and sank to his knees.
"Oh thank you! I came here for an accountant job and then they brought out the guns and held me hostage! When the weapons fire started up I dove into here. I'll tell you everything I know, just please help me!" Marvin begged and Marry-Ann nodded and smiled at him.
"Don't worry, tell us everything you know and I'll get you a safe identity." Marry-Ann promised and looked at Marvin with a hard look.
Marvin nodded and looked at her like she was rescuing him from a desert island. "I'll tell you what I had for breakfast and every time I turned right in a left-only lane, just please protect me!"

Donald climbed to the top of his houseboat after supper and looked around the mansion's back yard and sighed. Pressing a button on his watch he saw a set of options appear in his vision and selected 'Call' and found Uno's 'number' and sent a chat request. A moment later Uno's face appeared and Donald smiled.
"Hello old cape, I can guess what you want to talk about," Uno said with a small smile and Donald nodded.
"Yeah….What happened on Corona?" Donald asked as he looked at the mansion and saw the kids in one of the TV rooms laughing at something.
"Everything was going fine. After a lot of work we were finally starting to come around and a new age was upon us, the position of sole ruler had been done away with and we were now under a council. The outer sectors of the system… we were activating robotic stations to watch for anything approaching the inner planets…." Uno began and looked trouble. "They hacked one of them and broke into the network through and almost brought down the whole system. While we were getting everything back up, they attacked every station and we had to defend the inner plants, we lost the first few asteroid mines we still had going in the first few days, then we had to destroy them when they became misses under enemy control."
"And after that, they took orbital supremacy?" Donald mused. So whatever hive attacked them they must not prefer to use infiltration and instead total war? Donald thought as Uno nodded.
"The shield stations that Mr. Ducklair had set up around the most populous cities were able to hold for most of the attack, but they let anything in that below the emitters…. And when they sent down the attack force I told you and Miss. Kay about," Uno said and looked haunted, Donald wondering what his old friend had seen.
For moments Donald stood on his houseboat as he looked up at the stars, wondering what he could do when not if this hive made it to Earth.
"How bad was it?" Donald asked and Uno sighed.
"They isolated the cities, and went in from the outskirts, we could only listen and prepare for our turn. In the end, we were lucky to have enough ships to get most of the population away, but out of the survivors…..maybe one in twenty are soldiers, mentalists, or government officials. We were able to get a copy of all of the planet's tech and knowledge, but that was it. We tried to destroy everything we could and sent out a command to put the zoo's animals all into hibernation and dropped them down beneath the crust but we don't know if it worked. And we don't know what the invaders might be able to salvage from the planet and cities beyond the resource value itself…." Uno trailed off and Donald winced. That was enough for him to know how likely it that whoever these
"What about the devolvers, did the cybernetics affect them?" Donald asked and Uno shook his 'head'.
"No. They used robots to attack first and stayed about a mile away from the battles, the few times we were able to devolve the controllers the robots either all retreated, attacked on mass, or exploded. It got so bad that we had to call for help from Moldrock… he and his followers fought with us and in those final hours…. Last we saw before we escaped his forces were getting everyone they could into the other-dimensional realm of theirs. I haven't been able to peer into it…. and Evertt wanted to wait until he got here to call to them," Uno said and Donald nodded his head.
"But with the time difference it could be a long time, they might evolve into a new society there," Donald said and looked up at the stars. "With the Iced ones here, we're in trouble if they attack Earth together, and ….wait. Were there any 'Cyber Flames' seen during the attack?"
"Cyber Flame… I see, no. we never…. We never saw any of the Evronians attack anyone to feed…." Uno said as 'he' nodded; a frown on his face as he looked at Donald and wondered just what the goal of the invasion had been.
"The Blue ones with the Pillar, and now the robot's masters… those watcher satellites we got from Groft, you've turned them on right? The ones near Pluto and surrounding the system's edge, we're receiving them right?" Donald asked and Uno nodded.
"Yes, it was the first thi…..a debriefed on the attack on our 'base' just started at the local FBI branch, would you like to listen in?" Uno asked and Donald smirked.
"Yes, yes we should. After all, they did attack what was supposed to be the Duck Avenger's headquarters," Donald said and he had to fight down the urge to snicker.
A screen appeared before him, on it was Marry-Ann Flagstar looking at a goat in a black suit who sat on one side of a desk, a cat in tactical armor stood next to Marry-Ann and looked between them.
"… and like I said before sir, the Avenger has always been my case, why did we attack and why wasn't I there? Who sent those Orders?" Marry-Ann said as she crossed her arms and the Goat scowled at her.
"I know and I agree with you agent, but the decision was from high above both of us. Who exactly sent the orders I will find out. But it seems likely that the Avenger sent us against the people who were behind the mall attack. So what happened?" The goat demanded and the cat looked down and away.
"Well before we could move in the army boys pulled rank to get first crack at it. Sir, they moved in to try and gain ground when the hostiles started to fire with an X-Ray blaster and small arms. We held them off the initial counterattack and got the civilians evacuated then they moved in with flashbangs and heavy weapons…. After we broke through and another of those Xenos attacked and took out six of the army before Marry-Ann came in with that ray gun of the army and got the Xeno thing," The Cat said and looked at Marry-Ann with a smile.
"Was it out of sight of the news at least?" The Goat asked and the cat nodded.
"Yes sir, we took it out before it made it downstairs," Marry-Ann said as she looked at the goat with a scowl but he ignored her and sighed.
"Thank you Mr. Haloxix. Agent Flagstarr please stay." The Goat said and Haloxix saluted and walked out of the room, leaving Marry-Ann and the goat alone.
"Sir, was this like when we had to stop our investigation so long ago?" Marry-Ann asked and the goat nodded.
"Yes, but I fear it's worse. For the last few weeks, I've been looking into an issue with a few labs we investigated that are owned by McDuck Enterprises, places that do work on defensive projects, how some attacks destroyed sensitive equipment that they were under contract to replace, and with McDuck saying his CFO was leading a terrorist origination… I'm worried they got their talons into us," The goat said bluntly and Marry-Ann looked at her superior in shock.
"Sir, a friend of mine is Mcduck's nephew, if I could go and talk to him about this then maybe….." Marry-Ann trailed off when her superior shook his head.
"We don't know if Bradford dropped anything that will let him get the information from the company. McDuck is probably going over every file and tech that Bradford touched but I want no information to pass to him," The Goat said stiffly, and Marry-Ann looked at him with a strange look on her face.
"What about Marvin sir? I promised him protection if he talked about what he knew. And the computer was taken by the army but the tech was from the aliens, it had to have been," Marry-Ann said and The Goat sighed and nodded.
"I know, and I agree with your deal. We'll grill him, Jim's in charge of watching him and the DA will come and talk to him about what he saw and heard tomorrow. Take tomorrow off, that's an order," The goat said and Marry-Ann looked like she would say something but the Goat held up his hand. "This is none negotiable; you're taking the day off!"
"Sir," Marry-Ann said and saluted him before leaving, the Goat staying in the room and looking around and sighing.
Donald looked at the screen as it disappeared and shook his head. So the FBI and the army both attacked the people behind the attack, or at least the gangers that they gathered as muscle. The Beagles weren't involved, but with how Ma has a stranglehold on crime in the city, I wonder if she was planning her attack against this gang? Still, that's something to think about. Donald thought as he looked into space and remembered all the times he and the Beagle Boys had clashed, even before Big Time and rejoined the gang when his Mad Dog Beagle had gone to prison after he tried to kill Ma with his gang.
"So, a terrorist organization old cape?" Uno asked and Donald nodded.
"Led and founded by Bradford Buzzard….. when you've got time, would you mind looking into him?" Donald asked Uno who nodded.
"Got it, what do you want to know?" Uno asked and Donald grinned savagely.
"Everything, his past, where he went to school and who he's related to," Donald said and looked up at the sky as it darkened. He's been doing this for years; he had to have a reason. Know the reason and you know why and you can figure out the how. The best thing those monks ever told me. Donald thought as he looked at the stars as they came out.
"What does he want?" Uno asked and Donald looked up at the stars and scowled.
"I don't know, I don't know. Why and how long he's been building FOWL, I can't say. Somehow we have to find a thread that will let us unravel what he's after and how to stop him, there has to be something out there," Donald said bitterly and sighed.
"I'll get on it old cape, see you in the morning," Uno said and paused and looked at Donald. "Oh, I almost forgot! The watches I gave you and Miss Kay can communicate with each other."

UNO 'materialized' in cyberspace and looked around before he sent out multiple head-shaped missiles that shot away from him into the depths of cyberspace. As he frowned as a profile of Bradford Buzzard appeared before him and he looked at the data his hunters found so far.
As he watched first a picture then his age appeared, the entry for his parents was empty but as his 'bots moved through the web he frowned as he started to come up empty. As he slipped into McDuck Industries system he found the data for Bradford Buzzard and sent searchers towards where the information was supposed to be but after cross-checking accounts from other sources the information was revealed to be false.
"Good information control, he had to have done this for a long time. But all I need is a single thread… his age….that could work," Uno muttered as he formed more search bots and sent them out, each after a specific database. As Uno frowned he looked at everything he had gathered, something was wrong about this, not even his parents were on his file, whatever Bradford was hiding, it went deep.

"I love our sleepovers!" Webby grinned as the Kids all gathered in Webby's room as Huey and Dewy carried in a few sleeping bags as Lena looked around and frowned when she didn't see the dream catcher she had made the last time before the mansion went on lockdown.
"I've never been at one before, what are they like?" Gosalyn asked and Dewey grinned and looked at her.
"Well ours are great! A few games, some snacks, food and a good movie! So comedy or adventure, adventure comedy?" Dewey asked and Webby grinned and bound to the DVD rack as Lena spoke up.
"Hey Pink? Where's the Dream Catcher I gave you the last time I was here?" Lena called out and Webby went still. "Webby?"
"Oh, after a while they kind become burnt….." Webby said and Lena and Violet looked at her in shock.
"It what? How could…..wait they? You've had this happen to other dream catchers?" Lena asked and Violet looked at her friend in concern.
"How long has that been happening!?" Violet demanded and Webby looked away.
"About a year or two…. I don't ever get nightmares most of the time so I just made new ones every few months, and I never tried to make a metal one," Webby said and looked away as Gosalyn looked at the two of them as they looked at each other.
"Why do I have a bad feeling about that from your reaction?" Gosalyn asked as the triplets came over and looked at Webby as she held her elbow.
"The only way for that was if something overpowered it and forced Webby's dreaming self to join in a shared dream under the caster's control or….." Violet trailed off shakily and Lena sighed and shook her head.
"What V ain't saying is that the things able to do that naturally are predators and no nightmares…that how they feed off you. If someone was trying to get in contact with Pinks through dreams then the 'catcher wouldn't have been burned through …..unless it was being overpowered and from far away…. but moderating your strength is like the first lesson and distance, any magic able to get into the dream realm would only need a little more power from anywhere on earth….. who could do this?" Lena asked in wonder and Webby shakily sat down on her bed as the triplets looked at each other.
As they had a silent conversation with each other after a few moments Huey shook his head at his brothers, no one but Violet noticed it.
Webby was trying to understand the strange feelings she had, a sense of longing and love that shook her as she tried and failed to remember her dreams. She didn't know but something was telling her whoever had made contact with her was important, someone that she had met in her dreams and had invited in; someone who she knew that she had to help.
"So what's the plan?" Dewy asked and Lena and Violet looked at each other and Webby, all three of them talking in their heads before Gosalyn spoke up.
"Not to be a downer, but can we fight this thing off in Webby's dreams? I mean how?" She asked and Huey nodded.
"We can give ourselves anything we want when we're in the dream realm. As near as I could tell it was like lucid dreaming," Huey said and Gosalyn nodded.
"Okay, but how will we get into her dream?" Gosalyn asked and Violet looked at her only to be met with a hard stare. "Anyone that hurts kids is my enemy, anybody that hurts people I know is my enemy."
"Well said!" Lena said with a smirk as she rolled up her shoulders. "V, get the chalk!"
"Got it here," Violet said as she grabbed her backpack and pulled out a small kit. "Are you thinking Zaqīqu's Pyramid or Hpynos's Temple?"
"No, no. Let's do the Flytrap Circle, I'll be the focus with Webby as the Trap," Lena said Violet nodded.
Violet got a few pieces of chalk and looked around the room, nodding as she went over a few calculations in her head before she nodded. "Yes, this will work. Huey, Dewey, Louie, I need you to move the rug away, Gosyln move the bags to Webby's bed. Webby, Lena, I need you two to put a few of the Dreamcatchers up, but remember to tear a few strands a little, make it seem like whatever this is will overpower them easily so to spring our tap."
As everyone but Webby nodded and moved to follow her directions, Webby held her arm and looked at Violet in concern.
"And this won't hurt them will it?" Webby asked and Lena shook her head and Violet nodded.
"No, at most this will force them to talk to us. But if they overpower it then we could all be thrown into dreams with Lena to break us out of them." Violet said as she was finishing up a circle and drew a line towards Webby, quickly drawing a circle big enough for her to sleep.
Webby looked at her friends and frowned, something was bothering her about all this, She knew something about whoever was visiting her dreams, but something was keeping her from realizing just what it was.

In a military installation far outside of Duckberg in a valley hidden by a mountain, many beings in lab coats or black suits moved about the complex, in one building in the center a truck drove into a warehouse and stopped before three bald eagles in black suits standing there waiting.
"What have we got?" The Bald Eagle on the right asked bluntly as a husky in military fatigues got out and saluted.
"Sir, the site wasn't the Duck Avenger's lair, it was instead the home of a gang we think might be involved in the attack on the mall. We've got another of those pods for the boys in RD to look over and a computer that was enhanced with alien technology. So far the targets are in FBI custody but we've been told we can join in on the integration or conduct our own," The husky reported and the eagles at the ends looked at each other as the one in the middle sighed. "We've got one causality; the Lieutenant Colonel, I was able to get the spoils back here but he's at a hospital under guard."
"Not bad, not as good as we hoped for. But I thought we found his hideout too easy!" The middle one said as the Husky saluted them.
"Yeah," The one on the left said and nodded at the soldier. "Dismissed soldier, we'll handle the unloading."
"SIRS!" The Husky said before he turned and walked away. As soon as he left the building the doors closed behind him. As the left eagle walked to the truck and looked at the boxes he shook his head in disgust.
"Well brothers, not bad for the first official mission you've created since you got promoted," The middle eagle said with a grin as the other two nodded absently.
"Yeah Bravo, they brought back something to let us look into this further, but our stoolie is in the hospital, they'll find out the orders came from us!" The one on the right said and Bravo chuckled.
"Not really Charlie! We've got a system in place to handle them, a kind of mind-wiping tech we stole from this independent spy service called the AGENCY that went stupid. We just send in a few of our own and all he knows about us will be gone," Bravo, the middle Eagle said to the one on the right and looked at the eagle by the truck and frowned as he saw that he was staying completely still. "Something wrong Francisco?"
"Yeah. Visual confirmation brothers; this thing follows a different design track than the tech from the first invasion and down below. And I don't think they could have made a change like this in the years they've been away, it's a complete deviation from their old design ethics," Francisco said and the other two joined him and looked at the pod and the computer, both of them frowning as they looked at the WHITE pod as the other pods that had been recovered by the army were all purple, and the tech seemed to be merged with the computer at first glance.
"Makes sense, all the other Evronians that we've seen were a lot leaner, I wonder if we only dealt with a single nation?" Bravo asked and Delta shrugged as he grabbed the box with the pod as Francisco grabbed the box with the computer, both of them following Bravo as he led the way to the nearest side of the structure, his eyes opening a retinal scanner locked doorway into an elevator that they all quietly walked into. As they rode it downwards they stayed silent, each of them lost in their thoughts as they tried to figure out what this meant for them.
After the Moonlander occupation, their department had been overhauled and so far they had been coordinating a network of stations that would scan the sky for another invasion attempt. These Evronians had either snuck by them or they had been here since the last invasion, both of which did not look good for them at all.
"It was stupid of us to think we'd find the Avenger that easily," Bravo muttered and Delta sighed and nodded.
"We had to try, I was hoping that if the Avenger was just getting back into gear then we might have a chance! If we could get a handle on his tech, then this country, no….. this world have given the lady a lot of power," Delta said and Charlie nodded.
As the elevator stopped they carried the boxes down a long hallway, as they passed by a dark window with something within that moved slammed what looked like a tentacle against the windows before it was shocked by electricity and it whimpered, a strange beast like sound, the three eagles didn't even react as they moved on.
Finally, after a long walk, they reached a doorway being guarded by two beings who were wearing modern full plate armor holding high-tech rifles in their hands. As the three walked through the door they entered a laboratory with many beings working on various projects. A brown moose dressed in a black lab coat, black pants and boots grinned as he saw the eagles.
"Ahhh the brothers! So you have the new tech for me to dissect yes?" The Moose asked and Bravo nodded.
"Yeah Doc. It seems to be something different from the other samples so make sure you check the DNA with the other samples," Bravo ordered and the Moose nodded absently.
"Of course but this is perfect! Finally I; Caesar Cogworth will prove that Gyro Gearloose is nothing then a hack armature that got lucky!" Caesar laughed and the brothers looked at each other and sighed as Caesar's laughs turned maniacal. The brothers looked at each over before Charlie sighed and pushed a button on his watch. Caesar screamed as he was suddenly shocked by a collar around his neck, falling to the floor.
The brothers only shook their heads as Caesar sparked. The moose was an ex-supervillain the department had collared, he was a slave in all but name. The other scientists were all civilians, people with no families that no one was looking for, people like that.
"Don't think we don't have our eyes on you. Keep toeing the line and we might not execute you if we even think we should," Delta growled as the other scientist-slaves nodded and stared at the three brothers as they left the room.

Lena looked around the dreamscape and smiled as she felt her magic freely, a giddy feeling coming over her as lights went up around her. As she looked at the void she made a mental call and within moments she was in a circular hall with an entrance behind her and doors for all the others all around the hall, symbols for each of them telling her what door was who. She gestured and opened them and moments the others came out.
"So this is the shared dream realm then? Not bad, but how are we gonna handle whoever's behind all this if their hostile?" Huey asked and Lena grinned evilly.
"Just think of a weapon, and it will appear. We are basically dreaming after all," Lena said and Webby frowned at her.
"So just think, right?" Gosyln asked as she looked around, held out her hands and a sword appeared in her hand. She smirked and dropped it, an archery bow and a quiver of arrows appeared in her hands and back as the sword disappeared.
"Welllll whoever comes, they'll have a problem if they're up to no good we'll throw them out hard!" She said as the others all nodded as they all got ready, Violet gaining heavy boots, Dewey a khopesh, an Egyptian sickle-shaped sword, Huey gained a staff as Louie gained a hockey stick as Lena's eyes started to glow.
"Thanks everyone, but I want to talk to whoever it is first," Webby said they all looked at her and Lena sighed.
Before anyone could say anything a flash of light from the entrance caused them to look towards it. Webby held up her hand and moved towards it, a hard look on her face.
A moment later a small female duckling ran into the room and went still as she saw the group before her, she looked shocked and Violet and Lena both took a step forward.
"How did you all get here!?" The girl gasped out and Violet growled as Lena moved to the left.
"We have enough skills to figure out what you were doing to our friend here, and it will stop now," Lena said sternly and Webby looked at her friend, blushing a bit when she saw Lena looking so…protective.
"Yeah if you bother Webbs you gotta deal with all of us!" Huey said as the others nodded before Webby dashed between them all.
"Wait guys, Lena. Please let me talk to her," Webby said and looked at the girl who stepped back. "Listen, I can understand that you wanted to talk to me, but please. None of this has to get worse, just talk to us all, maybe we can help you."
"No," The girl growled out before Webby could say anything else. "No one will get in the way of my spending time with them all!"
"Them, what does she mean?" Huey muttered as he moved closer. "Look, if you need help…."
"I SAID NO!" The Girl roared as her cloak flashed and Huey saw her eyes for a second and he was shocked that they looked so familiar.
Suddenly from behind the girl a large gust of wind swept into the room, destroying the doors and turning the area into a large cloudy field. As the kids tried to stand their ground the air went faster, they grouped together, Dewey was alone but Huey grabbed Violet, Louie grabbed Gosyalin and Lena held onto Webby as the force from the wind blew them all away, as they tried to hold onto each other Lena lost her grip in a split second
"WEBBBYYY!" Lena called out and Webby tried to reach her friend before everything went white for them all.

Webby blinked and looked around, something was wrong with this but what was it? What could it be, wait let me think. She thought as she looked around, the purple grass was there, and the moons were just coming over the horizon and the statue of the Guardians was standing upright over there so what could be wrong?
"Come on Big sis!" A voice called out and Webby shook her head and smiled, running in her blue robe towards her family. As she sat down on the blanket her mom reached over and rubbed her head, her mom's black hair glittering in the suns as they set. Her little sister and dad were both putting the food out and she looked at him, his black security uniform was the same and her little sister was normal down to her blond hair and her red robe and shawl signifying that she was a student of the new mental instate their grandfather had set up, everything was perfectly normal so she couldn't tell what was wrong.
A call caused her to turn and see her grandmother, grandfather, her other grandfather, and her great uncle walking towards them.
"Granmi, Papi, Grandfather, Uncle! I didn't think you would make it!" Webby said as they sat down, her grandmother bringing out a basket of food as her other grandfather moved some with his mental powers amongst them all.
"Well lass, your grandmother here helped me finish the work early so I thought maybe I could join you all and I found these old fogies on the way," Her uncle said and smiled as he sat down and ate some of the food.
"And my students are doing everything perfectly. And I promised the Elder he could lead today's meditation, and the experiments are going nicely, but we won't have results on them until tomorrow, but then Deuce would have probably just thrown me out if I tried to stay so I would make it to you all," Her grandfather said and her 'great' uncle laughed a little as papi looked down and away as her sister giggled.
"And the last of the scammers were so easy to fix it was almost criminal. I mean I was a white hat thief for a while but these people? I don't know what I expected but it was so easy to solve I'm almost ashamed," Her grandfather said as her father laughed a little.
"I know just what you mean! And with the way the talks are going, we might be able to bring the Guardians into more territories by next month! Still since the decision to open our membership to anyone who wanted to fight for life…..we're thinking about making a new academy," Her father said and he shrugged. Her grand uncle poked her father with his cane and he started to chuckle. "Okay Uncle *******, I'll stop talking about work. "
"Yes. Enough of that lad, let's just have a nice meal with the family," Her uncle said as a Walkyia bird flew overhead, calling for a mate.
As their mother hugged Webby's sister Webby looked around at her family and smiled, everything was perfect. She leaned back and saw the moons coming up over the horizon and smiled as the eclipse today was going to be perfect and wonderful.
"You should hear about the recovery back in the Mid-Rim, so far the company is bringing in a good profit and helping a lot of people," Her uncle said with a laugh and Webby giggled a little.

Lena blinked and looked around. The wave of energy had caused her and the others to be sent away, she was all alone. As she took stock of her surroundings she realized she was in a void but as she reached out with her mystical senses she realized she was still in the 'dream space' of the McDuck Mansion.
Lena looked around and tried to figure out where Webby was when she sighed and shook her head. As she looked around the fog-filled void she was in she scowled and moved through it, a strange feeling going through her.
"Pinks where are you? And guys, please be okay," Lena asked as she walked around the fog. After a few moments, she stopped and started to meditate. Come on people, where are you all? Okay so let's think slowly, whatever that was split us all up, I need to find the others in here, we're all connected by the ritual symbol….. I can use that to find the others, A few moments later she moved off and walked north, finally coming to a door to a doorway with two symbols on it, one of them was a book with a badge and the other was an alchemy symbol with a witch's hat above it a few moments later.
"Okay, let's see what's going on in here," Lena said as she opened the door.

As Huey looked around the room from the podium as kids in Woodchuck Uniforms all talked to each other with smiles on their faces, he brushed away a tear. He didn't think he would have made it this far with them if she hadn't been able to help him. After everything tonight he would finally make that step with her, but first, there was the closing speech to give.
"Settle down everyone!" Huey called out and every scout looked up at him, awe and respect in most eyes. "To be a Woodchuck is a lifetime commitment, and only you can chart the road you walk! If it's one badge or all of them, as long as you are proud of what you do, that's enough! We are a place for kids and adults to learn to survive and live, to be better than we were when we came in. This is the end of the summer camp, but I have to say that I'm looking at winners one and all!"
As all the scouts cheered and laughed with their friends, Huey felt a spark of pride as he looked over the kids he had guided for the last few months. "You might all be going home today, but I know that you will all take with you the spirit of the Woodchucks wherever you go, and I want you all to come back whenever you need help!"
As the Woodchucks cheered Huey smiled as they all got up and he looked to his left and saw Violet was walking towards them in her Senor Woodchuck uniform with a smile on.
"So, our first year as head scouts is over, what do you want to do tomorrow? Not that we have that much to do with the college still out until next month." She said and he nodded. He looked at Violet and smiled, barely keeping from blushing as he saw how she looked in her Woodchuck Scout Leader uniform. The two of them had gone through a lot over the years, but he was happy with his life.
"I have a few ideas, how about a date tomorrow night, I know you're going to spend some time with the girls, but after that?" Huey asked and Violet grinned and pecked his cheek and he blushed and looked away.
"I'd love to! Now I'm going to make sure my cabin is fully clean, I don't want any of my kids to forget anything.
As he walked towards the car lot he saw a small duckling sitting down on the ground crying softly and he frowned, looking closer he saw it was a girl. He smiled and dropped to a knee and looked at her.
"Hey little lady, do you need help?" Huey asked as he smiled at her.
"No," The girl said as she looked down at the ground and Huey grinned at her.
"Then what's wrong, you can trust me kido," Huey said and the girl stopped crying and took a deep breath.
"I'm the only Woodchuck in town, I loved the friends I made here, I have their names to talk to online, but it won't be the same."
"Then you're going to like Scout-Net, it's something my friend Violet set up, it lets every Woodchuck The girl nodded and Huey turned around and smiled over his shoulder. "Then how about I'll give you a piggyback ride to the bus stop?"
Violet looked at Huey and smiled as she saw him giving a small kid a piggyback ride and smiled tenderly, for a second Violet saw a small black-feathered duck in place of the kid and her eye's widened as she realized and blushed and shook her head. I have a date with him, take it one step at a time V. And there's nothing that says that he has to ask me, I could ask him…what am I thinking! She thought as she blushed harder and giggled as she walked
Huey waved as the busses and cars drove away, some of the scouts looking at him out the windows, part of it was his family, but the last few years were something. He turned towards Violet and was about to say something when a portal opened before them and two arms grabbed them and pulled them through!

Lena pulled Huey and Violet, both in kid form, into the hallway. As Huey and Violet looked around Lena panted as she looked at them.
"You won't believe the trouble I had to go through to find you two!" Lena exclaimed.
"Lena why are….. wait this isn't this….. that was a dream," Huey said as he blushed as Violet looked around the chamber surprised. That was….gods I don't know what it was. but I'm glad we were taking out before I could ask her… Huey thought as he looked at Violet as she observed the chamber around them.
"That was interesting, I wonder what she could have done to cause that shared dream?" Violet asked and tried not to think about her thoughts towards the end of the dream and blushed as she did so.
"Come on, we've got to find the others before we can get to Webby," Lena said interrupting Violet's thoughts.
"A connection affect yes, we're stronger together than apart, whose next?" Violet asked and Lena's eyes went blue before she nodded. "Dewey and….Gosalyn?"
"I wonder what kind of dream those two are having?" Violet asked and Huey chuckled.
"Probably a superhero epic, something like that," Huey said and the girls all laughed and nodded.

Webby grinned as she laid on her back as her grandfather and uncle talked with each other, her father smiling as he leaned against a tree as her sister and mother looked at a six-winged insect as it flew by them as grampi looked on with a smile as his wife leaned against him. The meal had been perfect, they were relaxing by the river as they just relaxed.
Webby looked around and smiled but something was bothering her, something at the edge of her consensus that she couldn't identify.
"Hey sis, look!" Her sister called out and Webby looked up and smiled as she saw a Crystal Roc fly by miles above them, its wings sparkling in the light of the setting sun as it flew towards its home.
As Webby's smile grew wider she never noticed her sister looking at her with a smile as her eyes flashed before two more Crystal Rocs appeared from nowhere out of Webby's sight.
As she was about to take a step she suddenly turned her head and growled as she felt Huey and Violet leave the dream. Her eyes flashed for a moment before she turned back to her family looking at the Rocs as they flew overhead.

As the three friends moved along the hallways Huey looked around and frowned. I'm going to have to talk to Lena about this, maybe interview her for a while about dream Magics and anything else she knows. My private Guidebook's chapter on magic could do with a few new subchapters….. what's that? Huey thought as he looked up at the roof and saw black blobs forming on the ceiling, three of them. "Guys, what that up there?"
"What?" Violet asked as she and Lena looked up.
"Oh gods, Crawlers, run!" Lena exclaimed, paling as she started to run, the others following behind her.
"So Crawlers?" Violet asked and Lena started to curse under her breath.
"Their dream entities, they feed off of the energy of dreams, their why people don't dream every night," Lena said as they ran, behind them, the Crawlers started to chitter as the five of them followed at them down the hallways.
"Can we fight them?" Huey asked and Lena nodded.
"Yes, but we're here in dream constructs, I left a note about what we were doing aaaaaannnnndddd we might, might fall into comas if they eat us," Lena admitted causing Huey and Violet to look at her with a scowl and she just chuckled.
"Great! Does this place have a layout like the mansion?!" Huey asked as they ran. Lena's eye's glowed and she tried to 'see' what was ahead of them and as the glow faded she nodded.
"Yeah, what are you planning?" Lena demanded as Huey willed two daggers into his hands.
"I'll drive them to the left ahead, take the right and we can kill them in the entry hall! I'll come from the right!" Huey said as he jumped at the right wall, kicked off it, spun, and threw the three knives back down the hall, his eyes widened in horror as he finally got a clear look at the Crawlers. Each one was a green scaly humanoid with arms that ended in three fingers and two toes on their feet. Their mouth was lipless with jagged teeth and the black hair on their heads was stray and disheveled. But thankfully his knives had done their job, killing two of the creatures and wounding another, the wounded one roared in pain and anger as Huey locked eyes with it.
"But Huey…" Violet began but Huey slowed down so she and Lena would stay ahead of him.
"DO IT!" Huey yelled as they reached the intersection, the girls going their way and he went his. As the Crawlers followed him he heard them chitter behind him and he speed up, calling on his will to form two spiked beach balls that dropped behind him. One of the creatures ran into one of them, it gurgled as it died and the other three howled and ran after him. As one caught up to him Huey jumped and spun around, forming a sword that he used to slice the Crawler's head off, killing it as he landed and dropped the sword which dissipated before it landed.
As he ran down the hall he suddenly dashed down an open staircase and the Crawlers ran by it for a moment before they followed after him. As Huey reached the front hall he ran by the stairs moments before two javelins flew through the air and killed the two Crawlers. Huey grinned and looked up to see Violet alone and he paled in worry as Violet walked to him. "Where's Lena?"
"We found Webby and your brother's door, Lena's trying to break out Dewy and Gosalyn, I trusted my javelin skills, Jr. Quackmore Institute Olympics Javelin Gold Medalist," Violet said as she reached Huey and looked at him with a glare.
"She stayed back for that and so I could do two things, first this," She said before she slapped him and he looked at him. As Huey rubbed his cheek she glared at him. "That was for possibly sacrificing yourself, never do it again if we have another way around whatever!"
"Okay, what's the second thing?" Huey asked and Violet looked at him and smiled.
"This," Violet said before she grabbed him and pulled him to her, kissing him on his beak. Huey's eyes opened wide before he grabbed her and held her close as their eyes closed and they melted into the kiss.
"That was for being so brave to do that, but please don't ever do it again," Violet said as they broke apart.
"Yeah, where are they again?" Huey asked dazed and Violet grabbed his hand and they ran off, one of the Crawlers twitching as they left the 'room'.

Dewey moved over the rooftop quietly in black tactical armor, leading the way as his team moved behind him. For the last month, they had been tracking this smuggling ring, after two weeks of work they had them dead to rights! And with a bit of luck, they would even have the buyer as well.
As they reached the door to the building he heard a squeak over his headphone and smirked. "Go time."
As he opened the door he cleared left as his team handled right and up, seeing nothing they moved down the hallway and heard another squeak. As they reached a doorless doorway he peeked out and saw they were on a walkway above the main floor, below there were twenty beings in worn-looking clothing with rips, basically 'thugs', moving about a large loading dock, two men in business suits looking as the thugs moved a few large crates towards two vans.
Dewey looked at his team, all five of them and they all nodded at him. He looked down and meowed into his comm as his helmet deployed a tinted visor over his eyes. An answering bark came back and he nodded to his team and threw three small balls into among them all and moments later the flashbangs all went off.
"THIS IS A RAID BY THE GUARDIANS! EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU IS SUSPECTED OF TRAFFICKING IN ILLEGAL GOODS!" Dewey bellowed as he ran onto the catwalk drawing a high-tech-looking pistol as lights flood from the outside as more people in tactical armor like him and his team moved in from the garage doors.
As one of the people in suits tried to bring up a weapon to fire a bolt from behind him caused him to fall to the floor as another team rained fire from the back of the warehouse, hitting all the hostiles.
As Dewey and his team dropped to the floor, a female adult duck in the same tactical armor walked in with fifteen beings in the same armor, most of them went to the downed beings but Dewey, the female duck, and two dogs in tactical armor walked towards one of the crates and the two dogs opened it, revealing a lot of plant-like red pods.
"Flame E-Spores," Dewey said flatly as they at the contents of the crate and shook his head
"So then we were right then, great….. I was hoping that I was wrong," The female duck said bitterly and Dewey nodded.
"Yeah Gosalyn, I know. And the color? That means some part of that hive is still active…" Dewey said as Gosalyn kicked the crate's opening and looked at the bound thugs. "So who's are we tort…..integrate first Gos?"
"Those two are middlemen, I ran into them a year ago. And most of the others are just hired muscle, stupid muscle at that," Gosalyn said with a scowl as Huey nodded and looked around as six more beings came from the back of the warehouse.
"Got a wing of offices back here bosslings. We might find something," One of the beings said as Gosalyn and Dewey shared a look before they nodded.
"Got it, Squad one guard the hostiles, squad 2 stay and guard the contraband; squad 3 show us the way to those offices!" Dewey barked as Gosalyn looked at him as they followed after Squad 3, a weary look on her beak.
"Think we might find anything D?" Gosalyn asked quietly and Dewey nodded and leaned his head towards her.
"No, probably not but any little thing helps. If there's a single Ember hive out there, we need to know about them now. Anything and everything Gos, we have to find everything they have here," Dewey said as Gosalyn nodded, agreeing with him but both of them knew that they might have found all they could here.
As the two moved towards through the warehouse an energy portal formed behind them, four arms pulled them into it as the 'dream' dissolved away.

Webby laughed as she saw her grandfather do a handstand that turned into a summersault that end with him on his other hand.
"That was amazing Grandfather!" Webby said and he laughed and shook his head with a grin.
"All in all it's something I started to learn to do when I was your age, I can give you a few workouts to do to get started learning how," He said as Webby grinned. As she chatted with her grandfather her sister's eyes flashed and she glared into space, not noticing her grandfather had seen her and frowned a little.

Gosayln and Dewey both blinked as they looked around at their friends as the door behind them closed. Looking at the door she thought Webby was behind and she grinned as she saw another two bars on it dissolve away. "We just need to
"Wait, what? What happened, the last thing I was remember…. Wait why were we so old?" Dewey asked as Gosalyn groaned and shook her head.
"We were going to confront the invader, then we… she blew us away," Gosalyn said as she looked at Dewey and tried to forget what she had been feeling in that dream.
"Yeah and she's in there with Webby," Lena said grimly as she looked at Webby's door. Turning back to Louie's door she wondered what was behind it. With him, he's probably dreaming about swimming through a sea of money, or maybe something else like that. She thought as she looked at the door and prepared to breach it.

Louie grinned as he looked over the reports. Ever since the company had gone inter-stellar the profits had been rolling in! so far everything was going perfect, the scouts had even found a rogue planet beyond the Oort Cloud and the first reports were good so far, a good amount of rare metals and enough titanium to build fleets for the next thousand years! All in all his first year as CEO was coming along perfectly, the charities were going great and the last few factories in the asteroid belt were coming along nicely and then there was his plans for the night, a perfect end to a perfect day.
"Mr. Duck, the last reports are in," A seductive voice called from the door. Louie grinned and looked up at a sharply looking female duck his age wearing a three-piece suit walking towards him holding a folder dressed in a power suit, she had blond hair, bronze feathers and purple eyes that had a mischievous look to them as she walked with a sway to her hips that caused Louie to swallow.
"Thank you Marry, that's everything from your department then?" Louie asked and the female duck laughed musically.
"Yes, this is everything. The older facilities are being upgraded in-house, which should save us a bit overall. The new shipyards we bought all have contracts with the Guardians and a few settlements want planetary defense ships, all slower than light of course. The research into the planetary shield that was recovered from the Martian moon is going great, I mean the power system alone from what reports have been sent…. The profits the company will generate from that alone….. we'll need to make a new money bin sooner or later," She said and Louie smirked and laughed.
"Perfect! I knew I could bring us even higher!" He said as he turned and looked out the window of his office. He had a perfect view of Duckberg, from the mansion and the starport to the far right, the Guardian academy being built near it and the Ducklair tower and Embassy to the left. And I have a reservation for a private room there tonight for a nice diner, a musical as we eat and maybe a little dancing before I finally pop the question. He thought as Marry smiled and looked at him with half-closed eyes.
"If that's all then I'll see you tonight when you pick me up," Marry said as she smirked at him.
Louie smiled and got up before a portal opened to their left and someone grabbed him and pulled.
"LOUIE!" Marry screamed as she grabbed him and was pulled in as well.
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
As Lena pulled Louie through the door for a moment he was heavier than she expect, but as she pulled him through the door a female duckling their age with bronze feathers, blond hair dressed in beige pants, sandals and a white poncho. "Who the heck are you?!"
"Marry?! What are you doing here?" Huey asked as Marry got up and looked at him as Louie held his head for a few moments before looking at Marry as he paled before he turned away and blushed, unseen by all but Violet.
"Wait, richboy, is that you!? Wait I was… wait where are we?" Marry demanded as she looked around and frowned. "And where's Spygirl?"
"Behind that door, held captive with the witch responsible for doing this to us doing who knows what to our friend!" Dewey said as he formed his khopesh as Gosyln formed a crossbow.
"Wait what?" Marry asked and Huey grinned in a broken manner.
"So quick recap, we're in a dream plane, Webby was kidnapped, we were all flung into dreams to keep us away for the night and Webby is being held captive by whoever did this to us and we can form weapons by willing them since we're in a dream technically," Huey said and Marry looked at him before closing her eyes and a sword with three separate rectangles as teeth on both sides of the blade.
"So let's save her then!" Marry said as she attacked the door, Lena almost said something when Marry's blade hit a force field, causing her to stare before glaring at it.
"Everyone attack!" Lena screamed as she shot a bolt of energy at the top of the door as the others screamed and attacked.

Webby looked around as the ground shook and uncle stopped moving, her grandfather frowned as her parents looked around as her grampi went still and put his hand on his face.
"Oh my dear, you didn't?" He asked softly as she wilted in on herself. Webby's father, mother and grandparents all blinked and looked at each other and what they were wearing, seemingly coming to their senses before they faded away.
Her grampi sent out a pulse and suddenly she and her sister were alone with him in a white void with a doorway behind them. As the door bulked her grampi looked at her and smiled at Webby. "I'm sorry about this, I will talk with her. I hope to see you and your father soon my dear."
"Wait, what," Webby said as she held her head as the door crashed open revealing her friends. As they charged into the room Webby's eyes widened as she remembered everything and looked at her 'grampi' as his eyes glowed as her friends reached her. "Wait, stop! Who are you two!?"
Before anyone could say anything, there was a flash and they were sent back to their bodies.

Webby shot upright from her sleeping bag and panted, as all around her the others woke up and groaned. Webby was going through a strange experience, she was remembering a year of dreams that she had been ignorant of, but it would be better to say that she was made her ignorant.
"What was that?" Louie asked as he held his head. As he shook his head he remembered his dream and blushed as he remembered how she looked and tried to ignore it but then a buzz from his phone caused him to look at it.
GoldenShaman; What happened to us sucker, cause my dream was seeing you and then I was pulled into what I think is your place so spill it richboy!
Louie; Long story, don't know it all will VIDCHAT you tomorrow if nothing happens, sorry about that.
"That was a dream inversion like with Magica. We were able to find each other because of the ritual and break into Webby's because she was the center of it," Violet said and Lena looked at Webby as she tried and failed to stop crying.
"Webbs, you okay pink?" Lena asked and Webby looked at her with a
"No," Webby said bitterly and Lena hugged her.
"Who the heck were those people?" Huey asked and Dewey shook his head.
"I haven't seen them before, I mean I thought maybe it was Gloomgold or Magica using someone else, but this wasn't their style, so yeah, who are they?" Dewey asked and Violet shrugged as Gosalyn shook her head, shocked at how easy the others were handling a dream attack.
"I don't know who the man was, but the girl. That was my sister, my half-sister." Webby said softly and the others looked
"Your what!?" Louie asked for everyone as Webby hugged her knees.
"Wait, you've got a sister? Why haven't you or Beakley ever said anything about her?" Louie asked and Webby looked down at her knees.
"I…..granny isn't related to me biologically, I've known this for years. Gyro created this DNA reader a few years ago, I was at the Bin for a few days while the mansion was fumigated and I used mine and granny's feathers… I wanted to know if she was related to me through my dad or mom….. But there were zero genetic links between us," Webby said and the others all looked at each other, not sure how to react to that when she continued. "That night I went to sleep with a million questions, and I couldn't talk to granny since she never knew I grabbed her feathers from the shower."
"But then that's how you two meet, I mean? But why did you forget about that? Wait, she did something," Huey said flatly and Violet looked thoughtful as she looked at Lena who was muttering under her breath as she went over everything she knew about dreams and magic.
"Yeah, she did it the first time about a year ago, a few days before you guys came here. I met in a few dreams before a lucid dreaming test I did made me realize she was real. I confronted her about it and her and she said that she found me when she used her power trying to find her father," Webby said and she looked down, a scared look in her eyes. "She said her mother was all about raising her into a proper leader, and in my dreams...all we did was play and have fun so I forgot about it until you reminded me."
"She must have done that," Lena said softly looked around at the others and she shrugged.
"It's a simple spell, forget what you cause others to dream unless someone else brings attention to it. It works because it's simple and it's an old strategy that works, at least according to my beloved Aunt," Lena said bitterly and Huey nodded.
"The evil shadow witch right?" Gosalyn asked and Lena nodded
"So we gotta find her and figure this out then," Louie said and Webby looked up as the brothers all nodded as the girls all smirked.
"Yeah," Dewey said and smirked. "We owe you Webby, so this is a way to pay it back."
"You helped us find out about our mom, so let's help you find your sister and dad," Huey said and Louie grinned.
"I'm in pinks," Lena said with a smirk. That kid felt like me, I can't let someone that's in the same situation I was in with Magica, I can't just stay back and not help. Lena thought as she looked at her love friend.
"It is statically better if we all work together this time," Violet said as Gosalyn nodded.
"I'll be in Saint Conrad, but I'll do anything I can to help from there," Gosalyn said resolutely. She had lost her grandfather, if this girl was Webby's sister then she would help find her.
Webby grinned at her friends, with their help she might just do it and find the answer to all the questions she had about her past and family.
"Thanks, I just…thanks," Webby said as she went all teary-eyed.
Huey stayed back a bit and looked at Webby, a strange feeling going through him and for a moment he couldn't identify it, but something about this was bothering him. He couldn't understand it, but something about the girl was bothering him. Even when he met Webby, he felt something from her; something that made him trust her, and he couldn't understand what that was, something that was still bothering him. It was like he knew he could trust her with, something about her just seemed to… he couldn't say what it was but something about her just… he shook his head and looked at Webby as Lena hugged her and smiled.
"One more thing, those Crawler things, are they still out there in the mansion 'Dream Realm'?" Huey asked and Lena shook her head as Webby stepped back and gasped.
"Crawlers, you mean one of the predators of the Dream Realm?! And you fought them off to save me?" Webby asked with stars in her eyes and Lena blushed.
"It was Violet and Huey who handled them, he led them away after killing one of them with a throwing knife, led them away from us then Violet went to help him when I found your doors," Lena said as she closed her
"If you killed them, then no…. as long as they were dead then we don't have any cause to worry, I think."
"YOU THINK!?" Louie demanded as the others looked at her with a hint of fear and Lena just shrugged.
"I don't know a lot about them, Aunt Magica was more into the cursing than anything else, but it should be okay," Lena said as she looked around and smirked. "After all…."

"… what's the worst that could happen?"
Within the dream realm of the Mansion, one of the two Crawlers that had been 'killed' by Violet twitched and looked at the dead body of its kin. It opened its mouth and bit into the corpse, growing stronger as it ate the dead, spines starting to grow from its back as it feasted.

Donald shook his head as got up from the floor, having fallen from his hammock and looked up at the ceiling. As he rubbed his head he suddenly went still. Wait what was that dream?! It felt too real and was that him in it…I need to talk to him as soon as possible…..wait Kay was in it….. was it real but who were those two girls? He thought as he remembered the dream he had and wondered what the dream meant. For a while, he just let the wind whistle by outside as he looked up at the ceiling for a few moments as he tried and failed to figure out what he should do, finally sighing and shaking his head.
He got up and looked around, walked out of his room, and smiled as he looked at the moon, a strange feeling going through him. He remembered part of the dream, really only the feelings it had, and part of him was as he hoped that Kay was awake to talk, he had a strange need he couldn't understand to speak with her.

Kay shot up and panted as she tried and failed to get her heart under control as she looked about her room in her condo. A few moments she remembered what she had dreamed about and who was in it and she felt tears come from her eyes as she felt something she couldn't identify. As she got up she put her hand on her stomach, feeling the old scar that Heron gave her, and once again she felt rage at what that witch had done to her.
"What was that, it can't be possible be real, I mean it just can't," Kay muttered as she held her legs as she cried, the future that bitch had robbed from her and him. She let her old memories play out behind her eyes and
As she got up to get a glass of water her watch started to buzz and she looked down at it, a mental beep was in her mind. She looked down and sighed as she saw it was Donald, a strange
"Hey Kay," Donald's voice said as a blank screen appeared in her vision.
"Hey DD, how are you tonight?" Kay asked with cheer in her voice that she didn't feel. Donald remained silent and sighed over the comm channel, and Kay knew that something was up.
"I'm going to go out on a limb here, but did you just have a dream a few moments ago, your parents were there with our…daughters?" Donald asked and Kay went still, terrible thoughts going through her mind and tears came to her eyes. "Kay?"
"I had the same dream… what could this mean? I thought she…" Kay trailed off and put her hand over her womb and she heard a growl through the channel.
"I know my love, I know. Uno has a beyond state-of-the-art medical section in the Tower, you can call him and get checked out…." Donald suggested and Kay nodded, maybe it would give him some news that could help her. As Kay walked into her kitchen her right hand rested on her stomach, and for once the scar on her body didn't bother her as much as it used to.
"Yeah, so about our date tomorrow? I was thinking a good meal and maybe a walk through the park?" Kay asked and she heard Donald laugh a little.
"I've got a reservation at this great restaurant, you'll love it! It's primary fish and after how you loved it the last time we had that stake out in London," Donald trailed off. Kay grinned and laughed a little; that was so Donald, remembering the little things and tried to make their dates special.
"Sound great, after that can we contact Uno together?" Kay asked with a shaken voice and Donald picked it up.
"Sounds great, see you, tomorrow love," Donald said as he closed the line and Kay finished walking to her kitchen, getting herself a mug of fruit juice to calm her nerves.

A Duck with white feathers and black hair in a simple topknot style blinked and got out of his bed. What was that…wait! He thought as he went still and looked around before he quickly grabbed a brown hooded robe and rushed out his room, passing through a steel corridor and the few other Ducks that were awake. They nodded to him as he passed by, moving towards a special section of the ship.
"Master Ducklair? Is everything alright?" A voice asked and he turned and saw Xelis, a tall female Duck being with grey feathers and purple hair in a bun dressed in a simple blue robe. She moved a stray strand of hair out of her black eyes and looked at Evertt Ducklair as he sighed and shook his head.
"No. She reached out to her sister again," Evertt said and Xelis gasped, her hand flying to her mouth.
"Oh my! I thought the wards would have blocked it!" Xelis exclaimed and Evertt shook his head and sighed.
"It should have, and it wasn't just her, she pulled all her sister's relatives to her and put her cousins into dreams of their own with others, they fought back and someone on their end succeeded in breaking the dream, then they came to her dream through her sister. I was there as well, I passed out from the strain of keeping us from being found by the enemy's tech," He said and Xelis sighed and shook her head.
"Sir, we should have helped you, but I know why you didn't let us. But if she wasn't dead, then I would have killed your daughter myself. I mean with what your ex-wife wanted to do and what she did? I mean women were ascended because of him, but even that has to have limits!" Xelis said bitterly and Evertt nodded.
"I know, but we can't forget that best wishes can still lead to terrible things," Evertt said and Xelis looked at him and winced.
"Yeah, don't be too hard on her sir, it's how she survived," Xelis said softly and Evertt nodded and walked away from her after exchanging a few more pleasantries. After a few moments, Evertt reached the room he was looking for and walked in.
Inside was a small chamber with glowing pictograms on the wall, Evertt frowned as he saw that some of them were broken and flashing 'on' and 'off'. He sighed as he walked towards a bed in the center of the room, a small young female Duck with blond hair was sleeping in it and he looked down at her before sighing.
"I remember the dream dear one, I know you're up," Evertt said and the female duck looked up at him and winced as she opened her eyes. Evertt only rubbed her head and she leaned into his touch. "Zeta, you know why you can't do this."
"I didn't try to this time, I…. I just wanted a good dream with my family," Zeta said softly and Evertt sighed and looked at her with sorrow.
"Oh, dear one. I'm sorry but I'll find a way to help you, I swear," Evertt said softly and Zeta smiled and nodded as Evertt looked down at her, guilt and rage in equal amounts going through his body. Out of all his sins, the sin of ignorance was his worst. If he had known that just what his daughter was doing with her daughter then he would have stopped her, and that sin he will bear for the rest of his life just like his failure with his children. All he had to do was pay more attention to when she was pregnant, but he had been so busy trying to help his people grow as she pulled away from him, it was only after the attack began that he even knew that something was wrong, and when he discovered how she was conceived in the first place. "We'll be at Sol soon….. and after I talk to him I'll bring him and see if I can get her to she can come as well."
"Really!?" Zeta asked and looked at Evertt with a large smile that caused Evertt to feel a bit of hope and joy as he nodded.
"Go back to sleep my dear, I'll see you in the morning," Evertt said as he looked down at Zeta who smiled and as he hummed a little song under his breath Zeta soon sleeping. Evertt looked at his granddaughter for a few more moments before he got up and teleported outside and closed the door. He looked at the wall as the door closed and he put a hand on it, feeling the wards where they had been broken and forced his will onto them, repairing them.
As he walked away he sighed and thought about what he could make to help his granddaughter live a more normal life until she could get control of her powers, free from the machinations of her mother.
"Excuse me, sir?" A voice asked and he turned and saw a member of the ship's crew looking at him with an exhausted look on her face. She was dressed in a silver uniform and the few marks told him that she was one of those who had seen some combat before they escaped. "We're entering Sol and the captain wanted you on deck and to contact your AI."
"Thank you, get some rest we're almost at safe harbor," Evertt said and the crew member nodded and walked away. As Everett passed through the halls people looked at him and muttered to each other as he passed, he could hear notes of awe in their voices and that part of it caused Everett to feel so embarrassed about it. He had used all his abilities in the final battle, going so far beyond what his people thought was possible, some of them believed that his age had let him evolve to the same level as Moldrock himself, that he was a new god.
Evertt however didn't even consider that, the Dhasam-Bul monastery taught him that no matter what a person was able to do, on this plane of life they were but flowers in the stream of time. As he came onto the bridge he looked around, seeing tired-looking duck-like beings at their stations, an old-looking male duck in a black bodysuit with a green coat over it sitting on a chair at the center. Everett walked softly towards the center, looking at the screen showing the FTL. "We're almost there captain?"
"WHAT!? FALLING METEORS! Walk harder Ducklair!" The captain spat as he heard Everett speak. Everett only smiled at the captain as the rest of the crew looked at them, some of them chucking and turned back at their captain's look.
"I'm sorry Archibald, but it's a habit," Everett said to Archibald Ha'drib. Archibald was an old stellar sailor who wanted to explore but after Everett had taken his children and run, his former wife had cracked down on the fleet and Archibald had spent most of his life flying cargo, some legal some not, between the old colonies before they had been abandoned. Archibald didn't blame Everett for what his family had done, but he blamed Everett's wife for her plans with her daughters, a view that had put him in jail for a few months during the reign of Everett's daughter.
When he had been let out before the fall he had been in a position to become the captain the flagship of the small refuge fleet, and so far his old tricks and routes through space had served them well. With only three military ships, three fighter wings and ten civilian ships of various sizes. They had to hide and move as fast as they could, and for days they had thought they might have been hunted but they had been lucky, they had made it to safety. Now was the harder part, trying to make a new home for his people and keep the worst of them from trying to take over the planet.
"Captain, Mister Ducklair? We're getting a transmission from Earth, it's the AI Uno," The person manning the communications called out and Archibald looked at them and nodded.
"Ahhh Uno, we've made it to Sol, I expect the ship will make it to the Earth's moon soon and….." Everett began before Uno interrupted.
"Master Ducklar, you must not land on the moon, it's inhabited!" Uno said as he appeared on the screen. Archibald looked at the screen before nodding.
"All crew, gets us out of FTL and put us in an orbit around the last planet in the system, keep it between us and this earth! Send messages to the other ships, same orders, all fighters on standby! Get me Ship wide now! All passengers this is the captain, brace for deceleration!" Archibald barked as Everett stared at Uno as the crew followed their captain's orders. As the ship lurched the inertial dampeners set in, but with all their damage there was a slight lurch that Everett handled and Archibald didn't even notice, but the passengers must-have.
Everett felt fear and confusion spike and knew his people were scared, but he felt no new pain so there was that at least. "The crew and passengers handled it well captain, we're safe aboard our ship with no serious injuries from what I feel."
"Reports from all ships cap'n, orders carried out and all wings are ready to deploy!" A comns tech called out and
"Now what do you mean it's inhabited?! We planned to make a base there!" Everett asked and Uno looked down and away.
"There's a species that calls it home, most of them have migrated to Earth after a botched Invasion that was because of a prideful leader, but according to them, there's a thriving ecosystem that uses the caves that crisscross most of the moon to live! Donald's Uncle set up a research station there that's paying for most of the Moonlanders needs and housing, and there was something about setting up an observatory to watch from the dark side," Uno said and Everett shared a look with Archibald who winced and he nodded as well. He would trust their tech to keep the Earth from seeing their ships make landfall when they were all fully repaired, but with how the ships were, they would be seen before they entered the Moon's orbit.
"Well, this is a fine meteor storm to wander into. Anything else we should know data-man?" Archibald asked and Uno stayed silent, looking away as Archibald facepalmed. "I was kidding! How bad?"
Uno stayed silent and looked around the bridge, seeing everyone even his creator looking at him he sighed. "There's another hive of Evronians active on Earth!"
"What!?" Everett whispered in horror as the crew all stared at the monitor.
When their world had been invaded, all of the survivors had gone through hell. There wasn't a single member of the crew or survivors that hadn't lost someone they cared about or a member of their family to the Evronian invasion. To hear that what they had hoped would be a safe haven was under threat by what they were running from, it almost broke some of them and a few even started to sob quietly, but for some, they were standing still, the words Uno had used caused their souls to freeze in terror.
"What do you mean, another hive!? These things have hive groups?!" Archibald demanded as he shot to his feet and glared at Uno.
"Avenger found out during the time Custodian was in charge, when the Evronians mass enough they split in two and each goes their own way in the universe, usually the opposite direction from each other. We don't know how many there are out there still active," Uno said apologetically and Everett felt dizzy as the magnitude of their trouble was revealed to him as Archibald started to curse.
"Why didn't he pass… my daughters, it had to have been them! But why!?" Everett moaned and Captain Archibald grunted.
"Probably a way to hold power by the eldest, see if her forces could find anything or she could figure out how to use it to her advantage," Archibald said bitterly and Everett looked away, his mistake and amnesia were the cause of all the problems with his daughters. He had wanted to do what was right for them, but in the end, they hated him, and he couldn't blame them. He had failed them, he had tried to save them but damned them, maybe their mother had set a program in their brains, he was never sure about that fear.
A commotion behind them caused them to see three members of the remaining council, High Mentalist Elizabon, a tall female duck with platinum hair that went to below her shoulders dressed in a purple robe, and next to her was Minster Patricia, former head of Financial. She was smaller than Elizabon and wore a gaudy silver dress with gemstones on it that showed her wealth and she was a miser when it came to spending money, but she paid top dollar for defense projects.
"What happened, why did we stop!? We should be near the gas giants by now!" Elizabon demanded and Archibald sighed and shook his head at these two as Everett looked at them with a hooded expression that caused the two of them to pause. While Everett tried to find a way to break it to them gently Archibald spoke up.
"We've got Plants at Earth," Archibald said bluntly using the slang term for the Evronians and the two of them blanched.
"WHAT!?" The two bellowed as Everett just sighed and shook his head.
"Calm down, we will of course talk with the council, but we have to move forward and find a way to get by the new defensive watch they have up after the invasion from their moon. We'll make it to the refuge I had Uno reactivate and we'll decide what to do once we're there," Everett said and the two beings glared at him. He just sighed again as Archibald started to snicker, the problems they gave him since they escaped their homeworld were many, but they did have their hearts in the right places.
