Hello, all you readers! I'm back once again! I can't believe that Halloween is coming up fast! So, here's a story to go with this spooky holiday. It's to honor the sequel to "The Addams Family" called "The Addams Family 2", which was released last Friday. The first one was released two years ago. Anyway, prepare to read this story full of spooky fun!
The Addams family are in front of a spooky-looking museum.
"So, there's honestly a museum for darkspawn artifacts?" Wednesday asked in her usual cold voice.
"I'm surprised that the mayor of this town would allow some of the most dangerous artifacts in history to gather in one lone place!" Gomez exclaimed. "Isn't that just begging the villains to try and steal things from that place?!"
"Well, actually, this is actually the second most secured area in any place of the universe, and heavily protected by the mayor's council members." Uncle Fester said.
"But why the barnacles would anyone other than ambitious thieves or a darkspawn worshipping villain would EVER want to enter there?!" Mortica asked aguishly.
"The mayor's council has a plan in many years of motion to try and educate the mortals to never trust or follow the will of Darkspawn, so their power is to be weakened and limited." Grandmama answered.
Cousin Itt, Thing and Lurch appear as well.
"Itt told me about this sometime after the citizens around accepted us." Pugsley commented. "He told me of a council-protected museum that has the biggest collection of treacherous Darkspawn items."
"And why are we anywhere near this dreadful place?" Thing thought.
"Apparently, seeing THIS Haunted Mansion rip-off was our reward for throwing the best Halloween party for our guests at home last year!" Wednesday cried. "I don't call seeing a museum filled with nasty stuff an award."
"Well, this museum is closed down and heavily restricted to the public due to a series of attempted burglaries." Mortica replied. "Fortunately, the security scared them off, but they started to become persistent that the museum had to be closed down for it's own safety until the thieves are stopped."
"A bad case of museum thieves, huh?" Pugsley asked. "I hate that."
"But who would want to rob this spook house?" Wednesday asked.
"Villain teams would pay a handsome penny to be able to have ANY of those artifacts or relics." Mortica answered.
"Well, then what was the City Council thinking?" Gomez asked. "Wouldn't it be safer to store those things in the forbidden basement?"
"The council of course didn't want to risk having these relics out in the open like this, to be displayed like a trinket, but at the same time, they need a way to prevent more and more mortals to become the servants of darkness." Grandmama replied.
"Well, I suppose the existence of a creepy museum beats having this world become like an alternate world I guess." Thing thought.
"Well, let's get this nonsense over with so we can do Halloween at home." Gomez declared and the family enters the museum.
Inside the museum, all kinds of darkspawn weapons, portraits of darkspawn lords and even a life-size mannequin were seen.
"And now, we entered the history of Dante's inferno." Wednesday commented.
"I'm scared, Grandmama." Pugsley trembled as he clings to his grandmother.
"This place feels so uneasy…kinda different…even the tiles are different and uneasy." Grandmama replies and shows that the tiles are baring Darkspawnic symbols. "I am not even comfortable with the bathrooms!"
The bathroom doors even have darkspawnic symbolism on where a male/female symbol should've stayed.
"I am sensing very uneasy things here, Wednesday." Pugsley said to his sister. "I don't feel comfortable being here."
"That is pretty much the intention of the museum, young sir." A dark voice said. Suddenly, appearing from a long, dreary hallway, a sophisticatedly dressed man with an eyeglass appears and a song begins to play as the portraits began to come alive.
You hear the screeching of an owl,
You hear the wind begin to howl,
You know there's zombies on the prowl,
And it's terror time again.
They've got you running though the night,
It's terror time again.
And you just might die of fright,
It's a terrifying time.
You hear the beating of your heart,
You know the screaming's gonna start,
Here comes the really scary part,
'Cause it's terror time again.
They've got you running through the night,
It's terror time again.
Oh, you just might die of fright,
It's a terrifying time.
All the trees begin to moan,
And the monsters grunt and groan,
Rotting faces full of slime,
Don't you know it's terror time?
And it's terror time again,
They've got you running through the night,
Yes, it's terror time again.
Oh, you just might die of fright,
It's a terrifying time!
"Gees, it's bad enough when some other bad person sang that song." Uncle Fester commented.
"Who, are you?" Pugsley asked the man.
"I am Victor von Housermiser." Victor introduced himself. "But people had the misfortune to refer to me as Victor von Creepypants."
"Are you, the Curator?" Wednesday asked.
"Yes, it's clear cause of the fact it's on my nametag."
"Tell me, Victor, why ever be a museum curator of a room filled with such, unholy items?" Gomez asked Victor.
"To be honest, it is a passion of mine. I am a near enthusiast of anything Darkspawn and I bear a great knowledge of darkspawn culture."
"If so, then, why aren't you palsies with a villain team with a Darkspawn fixation?" Wednesday asked.
"The council of this city intervened and made me into an Equinox Magic user and balanced me out with incorruptible light force, so I won't end up like the likes of these "villain teams". That way, I am able to pursue my passion without ended up becoming an obsessed fan in return of preventing others from becoming more obsessive fools for power they failed to understand or do too dangerously well enough."
"I bet you're popular in parties." Thing thought.
"I suspect you won't be too surprised that cause of my own passion, people have indeed become concerned of my morality. In fact, the mayor of my old town requested the council of this town to come for me to begin with. So as a result, I am somewhat an ironic servant to the Darkspawn's own enemies."
"And you're not happy about this?" Mortica asked.
"Forgive me if my often-emotionless demeaner set off any wrong ideas. I am more grateful than you realized. I became very aware of the Darkspawn's habits of corrupting those into becoming their puppets., and as such, the council wants me to share that knowledge to inspire people to avoid Darkspawn or anything to do with them like an uncurable disease."
"And I wonder why anyone would hate you—" Pugsley started to say.
"It's no secret I have a controversy to myself in light of what's going on these days. It somewhat makes it difficult for me to pursue my passion without being accused of being a possible leaguer or other such fanatic. Believe me that I seek no intention to have the Darkspawn out. I am fully aware what they are capable of, and my knowledge prevents more people becoming obsessive fools for power."
"Wow, so, you're a good guy?" Fester asked.
"Well, thanks to the Equinox Light Magic balancing out the darkness in me, yes. I bear a power greater than any wizard like Merlin. But unfortunately, I am still with mortal limits like the need to sleep or eat or when nature calls, and thus allowing crafty thieves to try and break in! Luckily, the coward retreat the minute my defenses frighten them, but they alone may not be enough. I need a way to ensure the thievery dies out or I will lose my collection."
"Well, maybe while you're giving us a tour of the place, you could figure it out?" Grandmama asked.
"Hmm. I may as well since you all are here." Victor began to walk as the family follows. Soon they reach another hall. "Ever since I can remember, I've grown an interest in collecting Darkspawn artifacts which have been lost for over billions or thousands of years. They range from urns, jewelry, helmets, armor, medallions, melee weapons, even household appliances."
"I didn't even know gods were that intelligent at the time." Gomez said.
"Of course, they are. They're omnipotent when it comes to this kind of stuff. But since mortals like us don't know so much about people not accepting you guys into their society the first time, I've been studying every artifact I've collected."
"Odd. These are strange-looking Tikis." Mortica commented as they see demon-like Tikis.
"They're the earliest forms of Darkspawn, but they've actually been around for a long time. Possibly, even before their initiation to Darkspawnhood as mere tribal demons that haunted islanders or native Africans."
"HAH! Well, at least they're dead." Pugsley scoffed. "They don't scare us one bit—" The Tikis' eyes glow, causing him to scream and run behind his grandmother.
"It should be fair to warn you those tikis aren't dead. I just imprisoned them in special Equinox Magic, so they are unable to wreak havoc. The worse they can do now is cheap jump scares if you look at them for too long."
Fester sees a mirror and walks toward it. "Ooh, I haven't got the chance to see how I look—" He sees himself as a zombie in the mirror. "WHA—" He laughed. "That doesn't scare me!" Suddenly the zombie reflection grabs him on the shoulder, causing him to shriek like a girl and jump onto Gomez.
Gomez goes to the mirror, sees himself as a demonic clown in the mirror and laughs.
"You…you aren't scared? You look like the freaking clown on 'It' in that mirror!"
"Oh, you silly hillbilly. I can't be scared THAT easily—" Gomez started to retort.
"You're not going to sing are you?"
"I guess not." They both turn around and walk away, not noticing their reflections in the mirror being eaten by a demonic dragon.
Pugsley saw what happened in the reflection. "Good golly! I don't think I'll be able to look at myself in the mirror the same way again for a while."
"Come on, everyone." Victor announced and everyone continues going down the hallway.
This Halloween story is just the beginning. In the next chapter, Wednesday will receive a souvenir at the museum. What she doesn't know until too late is that the souvenir was once worn by a Darkspawn warlord called Lord Zuhrontimon and it will corrupt her.
Feel free to read, review, favorite and follow and I'll write some more Halloween thrills!
