Dusk & Eclipse: Cause it's going to be one hell of a ride.

Chapter 21: What Now?

In an unknown world, everything is quiet under the dark night filled with twinkling stars. The wind blowing, rustling the leaves, crickets chirping, and owls hooting. It was peaceful, calm and soothing to someone's ears but soon comes to an end.

The sky became dull, stars fading like smoke disappearing through the air as a ray of light graces its presence, illuminating the earth, sending its warmth over the land. Slowly the sky became cascade of bright red scarlet, a dust of orange sprinkle with a hint of pink. There was a pause - a moment of silence – then suddenly like a mighty phoenix; it rises from the ashes, soaring through the sky, radiating the land, and warming it from the cool night. The night critters was put to sleep while others wake up from slumber, embracing the sun as it warm their skin, and restoring their body heat. The sound of birds chirping was heard as they took off, soaring through the sky and passing by a balcony.

The wind blew on the curtains, lifting it off the ground as the light seep in the room. As the light illuminates the room, a boy sleeps soundly with an albino Burmese python, curled around him. He then move a bit, placing his arms on his pillow before putting his head down; while his wings stretch then folding itself in. Everything was peaceful between to the two, sleeping together without a care in the world.

Suddenly, the door began to open before Aurora peek in to see the two sleeping. She awed silently then tip toed into the room, keeping an eye on them as she make her way to the bed. Once she was close, she lean down and whispers in the snake's ear "Meera, wake up." Said snake hiss softly making her giggle "come on, wake up please." Soon the snake yawn "there we go." She slowly opens her eyes, turning her head to see her mistress, smiling "good morning sleepy head."

"Good morning, mistress." She yawns "what are you doing here?"

"Nothing, just wanted to know how the little one doing."

"He's fine. So why you wake me up?" Her mistress frown, causing her to become fully awake "what's wrong, mistress?"

"We need to talk." Meera lifts up her head.

"Is Brie awake?"

"Yes. So after we eat breakfast, we'll talk because it's important for you to be there."

"Don't worry about me." Meera slither off the bed without waking Randy "I'm fully awake."

"Okay then let's meet Brie." She nods as she slither out the room, following her mistress to the kitchen before she closed the door.

"I can't believe you made me do this."

"C'mon Cunningham, it will be funny." Randy glares at the camera, crossing his arms.

"Will not."

"Will too."

"Will not."

"Will too."

"Will- you know what, forgets it. I'm not doing this, Howard." Howard sighed as his friend closes his eyes.

"C'mon dude, just do this once and I promise not to bother you after this." He opens one eye to stare at him.

"You promise?" A nod was his answer before he sighs; dropping his arms "fine but if he gets angry, it's your fault." A hand was waved at his direction telling him to go "okay hand me the pie." Howard gave him the pie, taking it in his hand "alright let's do this." Randy began to walk with Howard following him. As they got closer to the target, he hid the pie behind him, breathing in and out to calm himself before stopping behind Azrael, who's talking to Heidi.

"Yeah I think your show is wonderful, Heidi. You're like a news reporter, ready to jump into action to get the latest scoop." Randy tap on his shoulder; who turns around "oh hey Randy. How are –"

Splat! The pie slam into his face as his crush pulls back his arm. They watch the pie fall to the ground, revealing his shock look as the duo backed up "Cunningham get ready to run." Soon an angry frown appear as he glare, taking a step towards them "run dude run." He yells before they ran away, laughing while being chased by Azrael.

"I can't believe you idiots."

"Keep running."

"I'm going to kill you guys."

"Well then, later hater." The two friends laugh while Azrael screams at them in the background.

"Howard." Said boy looks up from his phone as the video end "are you okay bucko? You seem quiet today." He rolls his eyes at Mort.

"Yes Mort, I'm fine. It's nothing to worry about." Mort tilts the rearview mirror so it directed at his son.

"Okay but if there's something bothering you tell me."

"Yeah I got it. Thanks Mort." He looks down and plays another video.

"Did I mention I hate you shoobs."

"You know you love us." Azrael roll his eyes but smiling nonetheless.

"Whatever." He then stare at the camera "do I have to say it?" They nodded "Howard and Randy are amazing pranksters, and no one can change my mind." He then smirks "except Randy is amazingly cute."

"What?!" Laughter was heard as Randy blushes, covering his face.

Howard smiles sadly, grasping his phone. He then looks out the window, thinking he might see his buddy on the sidewalk but he knows the truth. He knows his best bud is missing, taken away by some mysterious person, and he don't know where he is. He sighs, looking at phone, scrolling through it and stopping at the picture of him, Randy and Azrael smiling together.

'Where are you, Cunningham?'

"Who's Noctis?"

"Huh?"

"Noctis? Who's that?"

Aurora laughs, clutching her sides while Brie frowns. After calming down, she smiles, taking a bite of her pancakes "he's a spirit of nature. He control nature all over the world, and protect it from harm. Also he gave birth to these little cuties." She pet Ori's head making him purr before pulling back.

"Wait… he gave birth to them?" She nodded "is he the mother?"

"No he's the father. They reproduced asexually so it doesn't matter." A smirk appears on her face, causing them to raise an eyebrow "you know Noctis is very fond of my brother." Brie coughs while Meera chuckles as she calms down after that reveal.

"What?"

"It's true. Noctis like my brother so much that every time he sees him, well, he instantly becomes affectionate. Don't worry, he does that to me too but he wants to give his love to him." She took another bite "the funny part, my brother denied having feelings for him even though he blush like a tomato." They laugh, enjoying each other before Brie spoke.

"So was he the one who broke Randy's seal?"

"Yep."

"That's cool." She drank some water "so what do he look like?" Aurora hums, eating the last bit of pancakes before standing up, walking out of the kitchen, leaving them in confusion. Few minutes later, she came back with a book in her hand, humming a song while turning the page. When she found the right one, she places the book on the table, pointing at the figure.

It was white with light blue markings; same as Ori, green eyes that look like emeralds, long turquoise astral hair, and big butterfly-like wings with pointed edges, and two antennas. The creature had lean muscles, two canine fangs, long elongated tongue, five claw-like fingers and four toed foot with fifth one as extension. The leopard stares at the picture being mesmerized all while taking everything in.

"Is this him?"

"Mmmhm. That's nature guy."

"No wonder your brother had a crush on him, he's very handsome." Meera rolls her eyes.

"If he heard you, he'll laugh his butt off."

"Well it's true." She smiles but then frowns as she turns to her mistress.

"Mistress… you said you want to tell us something important. Tell me what is that you need to tell us?" As they look at her, Aurora frowns, sitting down in her chair. She puts her elbows on the table, folding her hands and stare with a serious look in her eyes "Mistress?"

"It's about Randy."

Meanwhile Randy continued to sleep, nuzzling his pillow, lying on his side. As he sleep a fond memory was shown with him and Noa. They were sitting under the tree, feeling the breeze, and enjoying the atmosphere. He looks up at his grandma who did the same, smiling at each other. She lean down and kiss his forehead causing him to giggle as she stare with affection in her eyes, continuing their staring contest. Suddenly, her body starts to vanish while his eyes widen in disbelief, tears start to fall as he watch her disappear but before she completely vanish, she smiles softly and whispers three words "I love you."

"GRANDMA NOA."

Randy sat upright panting. His eyes were wide, hands shaking and heart beating against his chest. He took a deep breath, wiping away the tears before looking around the room "wait… I'm back here? But how did I get here?" He scratches his head, trying to remember what happen but then shrug "oh well." He stood up from his bed and stretches, getting the kinks out his muscle while his wings stretch outward. After stretching he sighs in content, and walking to the bathroom making the light reflect on his wings thus, catching his attention "huh?" He looks over his shoulder to see two platinum wings, shining like beautiful diamonds. His eyes widen as he unconsciously lifts up one wing then folded it back "are these wings mine?"

"They're certainly are, little one." He turns his head to see Aurora standing by the door, smiling while holding a plate of pancakes and glass of orange juice.

"Hi Aurora."

"Hi little one, how are you today?"

"I'm good just feeling a little woozy." She giggles, walking in the room. She then places the pancake on the desk "but other than that everything's good."

"That's wonderful. You're hungry?"

"Sure am." He said right when his stomach growled. He blushes as she giggles.

"I see that. Well take off your mask so you can eat my scrumptious pancakes." He nodded, taking off his mask and turning back into a Randy Cunningham. He sits down by the desk and began to eat his pancakes, moaning while savoring his food "taste good huh?" He nods taking another bite while she stares at his wings. She had never seen wings in that color before nor had she seen them in up close. The way the light shines on them can make anyone to gaze at its beauty.

She hums, walking to stand behind him without losing her gaze on them. She tilts her head a bit, continuing to stare then reach out her hand. Randy finishes his last bit of pancake, swallowing it down his throat. He then sighs, smiling with satisfaction then reach out to the orange juice, but right before he grab it, his body became tense when he felt someone touching his wings.

"Calm down little one. I'm just feeling your beautiful wings." When he heard her voice, he relaxes, nodding his head and picking up his juice. She rubs the feathers between her fingers, feeling the softness. It felt like you're touching the most comfy pillow or feeling the softest cotton in the world, and the way it sparkle under the sunlight was mesmerizing that can almost take your breath away. She hums, enjoying the feeling of feathers before hearing a purr; which cause her to stop and look at the source.

'Oh my god.' She bit her lips to keep herself from laughing; while staring at the culprit. Randy had his eyes closed with a smile, purring in bliss like an actual cat. Aurora giggles, finishing her ministration before pulling away "you seem to enjoy it." From hearing her voice, his eyes open and turn around to face her.

"That's because it felt so good. Now I know how animal feel when you pet them."

"Well glad you like it, little one." She said, sitting on the bed.

"Say Aurora?"

"Hmm?"

"How do I make them disappear? I definitely don't want to walk around with them sticking out."

"Think about turning invisible." He nods before closing his eyes. As he concentrate, the light on his wings began to shine brighter causing them to disappear like dandelions "you did it, little one." He opens his eyes and look behind himself to see them gone.

"I did and on my first try."

"I know isn't that great." She laughs as Randy got up and did a little dance of celebration. She then smiles at the display, enjoying the show as he dance like a cute puppy. Soon her smile turns into a frown as she thought about the boy and how he will react to the news. She knows Norrisville is his home and that where he belongs but she couldn't let him go especially like this. I mean the kid may look fine and normal but the spark had been sealed for a very long time, and god knows what will happen if it goes haywire so sending him back is a big no.

The little one doesn't know better, he doesn't know what his power is capable of or how dangerous he'll be if he doesn't know how to control it. He doesn't know anything about his heritage or his powers or his spark and for that she felt guilty of what she's about to do, but it's the only way to prevent his power to go bonkers. She blinks as Randy began to hum which brought a smile on her face. Oh she wishes she didn't have to do this but if she sends him back without any proper training then everyone will be put in danger, and she cannot let that happen especially when that evil bitch is out there looking for him.

She sighs, closing her eyes, and wishing her brother was here. He knows what to do in a situation like this, no matter how difficult it be for he always find a way. She smiles softly at those memories. That what makes him special of how he always does the right thing and for that he became her role model 'but now it's not the same.' She looks at the balcony, watching the view but was brought back to reality.

"Aurora, are you okay?" She turns her head and sees the kid had stopped dancing and looking at her with concern.

"Oh I'm fine."

"Are you sure? You seem very quiet." He said as she waves him off.

"I'm fine little one." Suddenly her expression change, surprising him for a bit "Randy, can I ask you a question?" He nods. She stares at him, looking him up and down before speaking "I was wondering… if you want… I can help you with your powers." She watches the ninja raise an eyebrow, staring at her with a questionable look.

"Sure. But if I may ask… why?"

"Well since the seal is broken, the power within you is going to surface soon, and I want to teach you many things when it does." A grin appears on her face "plus imagines what you can do with them."

"Like learning how to fly?"

"Exactly. In fact, that will be your first lesson for tomorrow."

"Tomorrow?!" She nods. Excitement fills him as he grins from ear to ear "you mean I get to start training early?"

"I like to start early." She laughs as she watch him cheers like he won a prize "so tomorrow training? Let's say… twelve in the afternoon?"

"Heck yeah!"

"Good. Now here's another question… how's the trip?" A smirk graces her face when Randy's expression changes from excitement to frustration as he groans "let me guess, irritating?"

"You have no idea."

Rochelle sighs. Her eyes which filled with sadness, stares out the window, a frown on her face. Her chin rests upon her hand, ignoring the world around her and watching people walking by without a care in the world. But she don't blame them, she doesn't blame them for being happy because no one knows that her son is missing. Sure her husband told her that he's with his friend but something doesn't sit right, and for that she can't help but be worried.

She sighs, closing her eyes before reopening them. As she stares outside, thoughts began to appear in her head, thoughts that turn into a case scenario; ones that involving her son. Soon more scenarios floats around her, making her become even more worried and scared; which causes her to slowly have a panic attack. She faces the table, clutching her head as she think about questions. What happen to her son? Why is he missing? Who took him and why? What did he do to deserve this? Where did he go? Why him? Why? Why? WHY?

Suddenly, a voice called out, snapping her back to reality "excuse me ma'am?" Rochelle looks up to see a woman with long, brown hair and chestnut brown eyes staring at her in concern "are you okay?"

After making sure she was completely calm, she planted her hands on the table and smiles "yes I'm fine. Just thinking about… stuff but I'm good." She looks at her outfit as her smile grew bigger "I like your dress."

"Oh thank you so much." The woman tugs on her pale blue dress with periwinkle shawl and black flats "say you don't mind if I sit here right?" When she got a go ahead from her; the mysterious woman smiles before sitting across from her.

"So local or visiting?" When she saw her staring, she chuckles nervously "sorry it just I never saw you around here before; that or I never go out that much." The women smiles.

"That's okay. I'm actually visiting Norrisville to see my folks, and maybe go sightseeing."

"Oh that's good."

"Yeah and I can't wait to see them." The women sighs "its nice being here again." She smiles "pardon me, what are my manners. My name is Emma."

Rochelle giggles "what a beautiful name. My name is Rochelle, and it's a pleasure to meet you."

"So Aurora is going to train you?"

"Uh huh, and it starts tomorrow afternoon." Randy sips his drink. Brie hums before staring at the trees. The two friends are on the balcony, relaxing while talking. Ori purrs, lying on Randy's lap while getting head pats. It was quiet between them just enjoying the view. No stress, no problems and especially no mayhem; everything is peaceful.

Randy smiles at that thought. He was glad he gets to relax without dealing with the Sorcerer or McFist but hey, he taking every bit of it as he can. He sighs, putting his empty cup down before closing his eyes. Yep everything is perfect.

"So…. Randy… quick question." Said boy hums in acknowledgement "have you ask Aurora about the seal?" At that question, he frowns.

"Like what exactly?"

"Like why there was a seal inside you in the first place." Brie turns to him "I mean isn't it a bit suspicious how there was one, and you didn't know about it." He sighs, opening his eyes.

"I kind of ask her."

"And?"

"She said she put it there." Brie looks at him in shock.

"I'm sorry? Did you say she put it there?" He nodded "but why?"

"I ask her that too. When she answer… it made me curious but also concern." At Brie's confuse look, he frown before looking away "she said… that she was force to do it."

"What?" He nodded "who would do that? In fact, who would think sealing a spark is a good idea?" Randy raises an eyebrow.

"Is that bad?" Brie frowns.

"Yes but also no cause sealing your spark is bad." Randy tilts his head "okay so Lualons and Scexons don't do it unless it's necessary like… say the spark was growing too fast, then they had to seal it up until they can train them. So when they ready, they can release the seal." Brie frown even more "but from what I can tell, Randy, your spark was sealed for a very long time, and that's bad."

"Like how bad, Brie? Like bad or mega bad?" Brie looks away for a bit then looks back with concern written on her face.

"Like extremely bad, Randy." Randy's eyes widened, sitting up thus jostling Ori.

"So it's that bad, huh?" She shook his head. Randy blinks his eyes before looking down. In all honesty, he was shock to hear that. He didn't know about all of that, he didn't know how bad it was so his reaction was rightfully deserved. He rubs his face, trying to calm a headache he knows is coming. He took a deep breath then let it out before speaking "well that's great."

"Yeah but hey think of the bright side, it's broken and Aurora did say she was going to train you tomorrow so that's something to look forward for." Brie grins. Randy chuckles as a smile appears.

"Yeah you're right. Plus I get to learn how to fly with my wings."

"Yes, your big beautiful and magnificent wings, little one." Both Randy and Brie look up to see Aurora standing by the doorway.

"Aurora!" Ori chirps before flying towards to the lady, nuzzling her cheek. She laughs, nuzzling back before looking at the duo.

"Enjoying the view?" They nodded "that's good to hear. I'm glad that you like here."

"Like it? I love it here. I mean this place is very beautiful and so calm." Brie giggles.

"What he said."

Aurora hums "well I know you're going to love the view even more from up there." She points the sky "trust me it's breathtaking."

"Really? I can't wait to see it."

"I can't wait to start training you." She looks up, staring at the distance before looking at them "well that's enough sightseeing. Ready to come back inside, guys? I'm making lunch." They nod "okay let's go." She then turns around and left, taking Ori with her. Brie stood up and stretch before following Aurora but stop to see Randy still sitting.

"You're coming, Randy?"

"Yeah just a sec… I want to stay out here for a bit more." She nodded before walking inside. He leans back against the railing, feeling the wind on his face before sighing. He then stood up and stretches, popping his joints before walking to the door but stop when he heard chirping. He turns around to see a small bird flying with its peers, making him gasp in awe. Suddenly, the flock of birds swoops down, and towards the boy before circling around him, chirping at him. He giggles at their antics, amaze at this situation before watching them flying away, and to the sky. He smile as he continued to watch them until the birds are specks. Once he was satisfied, he starts to walk back inside, humming a song.

Unbeknownst of him, the ring on his finger began to glow in a pink color, warmth seeping from it before going back to normal with no trace of what happen.

AC: Not gonna lie, I like how this turns out.

Dusk: Yeah this chapter is pretty good.

Eclipse: Just pray you don't get another writer block.
