Hey guys... I'm still alive. I know it's been several months but I finally decided to get back into the fanfic game! I was kinda busy over not only the late spring, but also the summer. That made me lose interest quite a bit. I actually thought to get back into it several times before the thought slipped away like a fleeting comet. However, I made a promise for the rest of 2021 to have so much more chapters in store for you all to see. I will set a weekly schedule for now, but will update you if that changes. I will finish this story before the year is over, so sit tight everyone!

I actually want to talk about some things for a little bit before I continue. You don't have to read if you don't want to.

Skyward Sword HD: I passed on buying this just because I played the original one on the Wii when it came out. I didn't really have a problem with the motion controls, so I don't think there would be much difference if I got the new HD version.

Splatoon 3: I was super excited for this game when it was first announced. I plan to pre order it at the first opportunity. The gameplay was so addictive in the first two, so I don't really know how they expect to top it. I also like the whole Mad Max post apocalyptic vibe the game footage conveys this time. Hopefully there's an explanation to that. Additionally, I can't wait for splatfests to make a return again! That would be awesome to do again with the new systems and updates on the switch!

E3 2021: I was super excited for Nintendo to show what they had regarding the games and features they announced last month. I haven't picked up Kazuya yet, but he seems kinda slow compared to the other dlc fighters when I play online mode against him. I never played much of Tekken growing up, so I have no idea how he operates yet. I plan to get used to him soon though. Metroid Dread seemed alright to play. It wasn't what I was expecting regarding a new Metroid game, but it looks pretty good so far (even if it gets me scared). Hope to pick it up soon. What really got me excited though, was finally seeing some new footage of Breath of the Wild 2! I played the crap out of the first game (even finding all 900 Korok seeds) and got super invested in not only the game but the lore as well. Zelda was always and still is one of my favorite video game series ever. To take Botw a step further would be so exciting for me and all the other players to experience when it finally releases next year.

For the story, we leave off with our heroes in the World of Light struggling to fight against the unstoppable force of Galeem. As for the fighters in the power plant, they received some unexpected help. This chapter is detailing their struggle and how they got to that point shown in the previous chapter. As always, don't forget to fave, follow and review. Now, let's get into this brand new chapter!

Two days ago, Lightspace Ship, Outer Space

-SOFTWARE REBOOTING-... -ALL SYSTEMS FULLY OPERATIONAL-...

With those messages in his neural system. Mega Man found himself conscious once more. However, he was unfamiliar with the new environment around him.

He found himself in a thick glass cell with his arms and legs chained to the iron walls.

Several Light Primids were keeping watch over him. Some were walking out in the hallway while two more were stationed outside his door.

It was then that the robot knew what had happened before. However, for confirmation, he took one more action. "Replay memory files."

Mega Man then relived what transpired before being abducted. The memory feed detailed his journey to Inkopolis, his participation in the following battle, and his abduction at the hands of Samuel the Lightspace Gunner.

"I have to get out of here…" Surmised the robot. "I can't let this be the end…"

When the guards weren't looking, Mega Man summoned a buzzsaw blade from his hand. He then used it to slowly sever the chain binding his right arm.

With one of his arms free, he used his mega buster arm cannon to blast apart his other shackles and escape his cell.

The Light Primid guards immediately took notice of this. One of them immediately pressed a red button nearby, causing the alarm to sound and everything to go into lockdown.

Realizing he needed to be quick. Mega Man made short work of the guards around his cell and started to hastily explore the cell block.

He ventured down the adjacent hallway, dispatching more enemies along the way, when he spotted another recognizable face. A blue tentacled Inkling in tactical gear.

The robot immediately dealt with the enemies surrounding his cell and broke him out. After freeing the Inkling from his chains, Mega Man gave him a few nudges and shakes to fully wake him up. "Come on, Steven. We're getting out of here."

When Agent 3 came to, he found his arm being hoisted on Mega Man's back as he struggled in and out of consciousness. "What… happened…?" Eventually, he fully came to and was able to move around on his own. With no Primids on their tail, they had a chance to talk.

"What's going on?" Asked Steven. "Where in the world are we?"

"It's a possibility that we're not on a world anymore, Steven." Surmised Mega Man. "I can conclude we're in the enemy ship. When I woke up, my audio sensors could pick up on what appeared to be a power generator and a turbine." He then pointed to something closeby. "I can access that nearby terminal which can let me see the schematics of this ship."

It was then that Steven realized something. "Hold on… Wasn't there one more guy with us?"

Mega Man realized this too. "You're right. If he's captured too then he has to be close."

"Hey!" Said a voice that belonged to an early adolescent. "Help!"

"You hear that?" Asked Steven.

"Over here!" Continued the voice.

"That must be him." Concluded Mega Man.

The two went to the source of his voice and found the blond haired warrior chained like they were.

"Help me out of here!" Asked Toon Link, who was still chained up.

Mega Man and Steven proceeded to break the warrior's chains, freeing him.

"Thanks for getting me out guys!" Said Toon Link gratefully. "Just follow me. I think I know where our stuff is."

After a short walk down the corridor, they stopped at a large container that resembled a large metal chest. Unfortunately, the young sword wielder had a hard time opening it. "Grrrrrrr. Hya!... Huah!... This…. This is harder than it looks!"

Realizing he didn't want to see Toon Link struggle anymore, Mega Man decided to take action. "Step aside. I'm blowing this thing open."

The robot then launched a crash bomb on the opening mechanism. This created a small enough explosion to blow open the door without damaging any of the fighters' weapons or equipment. Agent 3 recovered his various ink weapons and headgear. As for Toon Link, he took his Master Sword, shield, and a few other items including a bow, a severed hookshot, a boomerang, some heavy iron boots, and a baton that could control wind.

After the fighters retrieved their things, Mega Man accessed the nearby terminal, giving him access to an accurate schematic of the ship.

"Okay." Said Mega Man as he was beginning to explain things."Looks like we're currently in the detention level right now. We need to make our way over to the command bridge to effectively commandeer this ship."

"Understood." Responded Steven.

"There's just one problem." Continued the robot. "In order to make it to the bridge we'd have to go past the hangar, and that area is crawling with enemies. Couple that with the alarm sounding and we're already at a massive disadvantage."

Toon Link then thought of an idea. "I can use something to help us retain the element of surprise. We'll slip right by if it works."

"So what's your plan?" Asked Steven.

"I have something in this baton here that can help us." Replied Toon Link. "I can use it to take control of one of the guards to open the hangar doors, sucking out anything not tethered to the floor."

"Won't we be sucked out too?" Asked Steven apprehensively.

"Not if you're holding onto something." Answered the young warrior. "Grab anything tied to the floor to keep yourself inside."

Once the trio reached the hangar doors, Agent 3 and Mega Man let Toon Link work his magic.

"Hope this works." The blond swordfighter grabbed his wind baton and waved it in front of an incoming Light Primid.

After standing there for a few seconds, the enemy lowered his super scope and proceeded back to the lower hangar under Toon Link's command.

It was then that Steven noticed something he recognized. Something that was large, powerful, and familiar only to him.

"Wait!" Shouted the Inkling.

Toon Link stopped the Primid. "What is it?"

Agent 3 then proceeded to explain the circumstances behind his decision. "Don't do anything just yet. See that creature restrained right above the main floor doors?"

"Yeah." Said Toon Link as he was realizing what was happening. "Now you reminded me. The enemy took this thing and captured it for its power."

"Don't let it go just yet." Ordered Steven. "If we're proceeding with your plan, we need to make sure the Great Zapfish is secured so that it doesn't get sucked out along with the enemy troops."

When the possessed Primid got close enough to the Great Zapfish, he could see several metal shackles keeping the creature from squirming or slipping out. Toon Link shared a sympathetic look with the Zapfish, giving a glimpse of hope before tightening the restraints once more. "This is only temporary. You'll be free soon."

After avoiding the other guards, the possessed Primid decided to head to the terminal not too far from where the Great Zapfish was. It was then that he pressed the button which opened the bottom airlock doors.

As soon as those doors were open, everything not tied to the ground or to an object instantly got sucked into the vacuum of space. Steven was holding onto a nearby handle while Mega Man clawed into the metal surface with his enhanced strength.

The Inkling had to make sure that the Great Zapfish wasn't being sucked out. Luckily, he saw that the creature wasn't being moved at all by the loss in pressure.

Meanwhile, Toon Link, no longer controlling an enemy, finally decided it was time to turn off the doors, since they would likely suffocate in less than a minute.

After equipping the iron boots to keep him secured, the young warrior decided to use his bow to shoot the terminal control. He attempted to do so, but the vacuum pull proved to be a greater force, sending the arrow into the void.

Toon Link then felt himself get slowly pulled by the suction behind him. He took a quick glance at Steven and Mega Man, seeing that the both couldn't hold on much longer.

In a last ditch effort to close the doors, Toon Link pulled out his severed hookshot and aimed it at the terminal control.

The chain hit its intended target, closing the doors and allowing any living being still inside to recover.

"Good thinking…" Said Steven as he was catching his breath. "Now let's storm the bridge!"

When they got to the bridge doors, they saw that the doors were closed.

"I guess they're not letting us in." Joked Toon Link.

"You're right." Replied Mega Man. "Let's give them a good knock."

After charging up his fist, he struck the steel door with all the strength of an elephant herd. This blow sent the door flying off its frame and into the other side. It knocked down a few enemies along the way.

The trio eliminated the rest of the hostiles before Mega Man took to learning the controls of the ship. "Give me a minute to control this ship."

"After you're done, let's turn this thing around." Asked Steven. "We can't risk the Great Zapfish falling into enemy hands again. I say we head back home."

Mega Man then debated against the Inkling. "If we proceed on forward, we can potentially end this threat. There's likely people already fighting the enemy on their turf. If we go there, we can end this threat for good and return with the Great Zapfish in your care."

With Steven at a loss for words, he shifted his focus onto Toon Link. "What do you think of this?"

Without any hesitation, the young warrior gave his vote. "I say we go. I know good people are fighting there. I can't confirm it, but I have a feeling that we should head wherever this ship's taking us."

Outvoted, Steven proceeded to take a seat in the bridge to collect his thoughts. Toon Link decided to do the same.

Before Steven relaxed for the ride ahead, he gave one last warning to Mega Man. "If the great Zapfish is harmed in any way, I won't hesitate to leave you."

Mega man nodded while giving out one more response. "Understood, Steven."

The Blue Bomber then let the ship proceed its course to the World of Light.

Two days later

After letting the ship guide them through the unknown boundaries of space, they saw that there was a planet within sight. After passing the surface, there was a power plant within a lush jungle area over the surface.

"I think we're here guys!" Said Mega Man over the sound of the landing gear opening.

The Blue Bomber then turned to Agent 3. "Steven, Toon Link, go down to the hangar and see what you can do from there!"

"On it!" Said Steven as he headed out of the bridge. "What will you do?"

Mega Man responded without a second thought. "I'll see if I can land this thing!"

As the ship entered the ceiling opening, The two young warriors saw a giant robot fighting what looked to be an anthropomorphic wolf, a few elemental creatures, and two adolescents. Along with that, there was a strange robot connected to the conduit terminal.

As Steven and Toon Link looked down as the battle got closer, they saw that they had to stop this ship from landing. Otherwise, the Great Zapfish would fall into enemy hands.

"What do you suggest we do?" Asked Steven.

The young warrior came up with an idea. "I've got something, but it's risky."

"Whatever it is, it should involve keeping us from landing over the device there." Said Mega Man as he came to the hangar. "I saw that the machine this ship's taking us down to is a power conduit, said to completely drain the creature's power!"

This put Steven into a state of shock until it passed by, leaving nothing but resolve and desperation in its wake. "What's the plan then, blondie?"

Toon Link then decided to explain his plan without missing a beat. "I have around 30 bombs in my inventory right now. If I can get all of them to blow one of those nearby engines, that should keep the craft from landing right on top of that machine!"

He then pulled out all of his explosives and threw them at the closest engine. "I need some more help!"

In an effort to speed things up, Mega Man and Steven decided to help Toon Link chuck all of his bombs at the engine.

"Now what?" Asked Steven desperately. "We're getting real close!"

"Brace for impact!" Shouted Toon Link.

The minute after that shout, the bombs exploded, causing a chain reaction with the engine. This sent the ship careening into one of the indoor facility's walls.

The Great Zapfish was unharmed due to the protection of the ship. Unfortunately, it remained buried within the wreck, unable to move.

However, the crevices were just small enough to where the trio got out of the wreckage safely. Because of this, they could lend their aid to the fighters below.

The three fighters in battle decided to retreat over to the wreckage. The blond adolescent, curious about their intentions, decided to ask them a question to figure out their intentions. "Who are you guys?"

Mega Man, the unofficial leader of the group, decided to answer with the first response he came up with. "Don't worry about that for now. We're here to help you."
