Hey guys! I'm back again! I'll start uploading more often, so expect another chapter later in the week!
As mentioned before in my previous chapter update, I promise to talk about the Animal Crossing New Horizons Update. As of now, I haven't really touched ACNH since May, but I hope I can within Thanksgiving or even during the winter so that I can try out the new update they have. From what I've seen in the trailer, the new DLC and free update look really good and I can't wait to help other villagers with their homes. I also can't wait to further upgrade my own home and my island with even more stuff than before, as well as explore the new islands and features the trailer introduced too. I just haven't had a lot of time because life gets in the way, but I'm nearing the end. Hope the wait's worth it!
As always, don't forget to fave, follow and review! Now, without further ado, let's get into this new chapter!
Hyrule Kingdom, World of Trophies, 30 Minutes after the Lightspace Mothership's Destruction
The battles, on both the land and in the air, were just won by the defenders of Hyrule. The Lightspace Army was successfully driven back and mostly annihilated.
On the ground, the remaining enemy Light Berserkers were being rounded up and taken out by the surviving troops and fighters.
The Halberd had also touched down on the ground several minutes ago with all air strike team members on board.
Meta Knight and Snake were in the forefront of the group as they got off the ship with Fox McCloud, Marth, and Lucina all following closely.
Robin was the first to see the fighters. Especially Lucina given the history they shared.
As Lucina saw the mage, she hurriedly ran up to him and hugged him tightly. "I… I was… so worried…"
Despite getting caught off guard, Robin reciprocated his own feelings. "I was worried for you too, Lucina… We did it… "
While they shared a touching moment, more of the air strike team members got off the battleship to reunite with some of the ground defenders while other fighters already within each team were helping each other.
As Emma the fitness trainer was recovering from an earlier fight with berserkers, she was offered a helping hand by Corrin, who was no stranger to giving support to friends in need. "Thank you."
A similar dynamic also occurred with Ryu and Little Mac. Ken saw this bond and gave some passive respect to the boxer. He also thought a little to himself too. "Once this is over, you're gonna have to introduce me to your friend. He looks like he can fight. Reminds me of a tiny Balrog."
Incineroar also saw this moment as he was helped up off the ground by Captain Falcon. In his mind, he was grateful to have friends that could fight just as well, if not more, than himself.
Pac Man also promptly got off the aircraft and reunited with the Belmonts situated on the ground.
Finally, Bowser shared a heartfelt reunion with his son, Bowser Jr, after the battles they both had to go through on land and in the air. Despite normally being evil, they still had genuine familial love for one another.
However, reunions weren't the case with all fighters. Earlier in the battle, Princess Daisy was saved from a devastating blast by Luigi, who took the shot in her place. Out of a sense of gratitude and close friendship, Daisy helped the plumber get back on the transport despite the singed state he was in.
As they were getting off the ship, Sheik noticed the burnt state Luigi was in and offered her aid. "I can heal him. Allow me to help."
The floral princess set the green capped plumber down as the Sheikah warrior brought a bottle with a strange glowing creature inside it.
"This is a fairy." Explained Sheik as Daisy listened. "It will heal any wounds he has right now in a matter of seconds."
Daisy grew impatient out of worry. "Do what you need to, but bring him back to me… Please…"
The disguised Zelda then opened the bottle as the fairy came out. Soon enough, it flew circles around the plumber as it healed any wounds almost instantly.
After feeling groggy for a few minutes, Luigi opened his eyes and looked at Daisy first. More specifically, he saw her face welling up with tears of joy. "D-Daisy?"
Before Luigi could say anything else, the princess hugged him tightly and passionately. Despite her hugging making the plumber's breathing a little worse, Daisy really knew Luigi was back. "Don't you ever do a crazy stunt like that again… you understand?"
"I do understand… Daisy…" Responded Luigi as he hugged back. "I did… what I had to do… b-but I-I'm-a so sorry I made-a you worry."
Sheik could only look at them and smile at their bond before a few more individuals came to her.
They were Popo and Nana, carrying a bruised up Diddy Kong while Donkey Kong was following closely behind them out of concern for his partner.
Popo was the one to speak first. "Excuse me, but… we saw what you did with that fairy, so… could you heal him too?"
Having another fairy on hand, Sheik was more than willing to lend her aid. "Of course, little ones. Set him down, and stand back."
Pulling out another fairy, she set Diddy Kong on the ground as the fairy healed all of the primate's wounds too.
As Diddy was brought back, he saw his far larger partner and immediately jumped into his arms. "-It feels so good to be back! I thought… I was done for!-"
Donkey Kong hugged him fiercely, but nowhere near the point where it could crush him. "-I knew you wouldn't die on me just yet, Diddy! I always knew you wouldn't kick it that early!-"
Link then came up to Sheik and showed her his heartfelt gratitude with a smile. "It's really like you to help the wounded, Zelda. Thanks for that."
Warmed by this, Sheik smiled back at the hero. "No. Thank you, Link, for unlocking your true power and turning the tide of this battle. Without you, I doubt our allies here would've won."
After Link took a deep breath, he realized what Sheik was telling him as he held her hand back. "I guess we were both important in different ways."
They then shared a heartfelt hug as more fighters from the Halberd were getting on the ground. Link then said something else right in the princess's ear as he held her close. "Thanks also… for staying with me for all this time."
Zelda couldn't help but laugh. "We've come a long way from the training grounds. Haven't we?"
Link felt like he didn't want the hug to end, so he kept her close, keeping a heartfelt smile too. "Indeed we have."
Hyrule Castle Front Gate
Kirby landed near the front sanctum gate and put away his Warpstar. He landed here because he had a feeling something was waiting for him there. Or rather someone.
Soon enough, King Dedede appeared in front of Kirby. Despite the rocky history they shared, the King of Dream Land still had a soft spot for the puffball. "D-Don't go thinking I owe you or anything. Got that?"
Kirby could only hesitantly nod at the king, but he could still take into account the rocky relationship they shared.
Pit and Dark Pit also landed near the gate. This was because the dark angel knew his doppelganger wanted to see Palutena alive again.
"You ready to see her, Pit?" Asked the dark angel.
Pit was far from hesitant in his response. "More than ready."
"As am I." Said another female voice the angels recognized. It no doubt belonged to Bayonetta.
Pittoo looked back without any hostility. However, his light counterpart was a completely different story.
Consumed with a sense of loyalty for his goddess, Pit raised a question he wanted to ask the Umbra Witch if he were to see her again. "How do I know I can trust you not to hurt her further?"
Dark Pit was fortunately able to vouch for Bayonetta. "She's a friend now, Pit. She helped us escape the blast on Skyworld."
Still not trusting, Pit looked at her with a good level of defense "Is what he says true?"
"Indeed." Responded the Umbra Witch. "I shall not harm Palutena. I see her as nothing but an ally now."
"Ok. Because of what's going on now, I trust you… for now." Said Pit as he turned around toward the castle.
As soon as the angel took the first step past the gate, an alarm came from the castle, interrupting everyone's recovery and causing some level of panic.
"What's-a going on?" Asked Wario as he was getting off the Halberd "We won right?"
Zelda then issued a warning over the speakers within the kingdom, as well as the earpieces most of the fighters had. "This is an emergency! All remaining fighters, troops, guardians, and artillery, we have an extremely powerful object entering our atmosphere at an alarming rate! Everyone, get ready!"
This got every single fighter to look up at the sky above them.
What they all saw was beyond powerful, and beyond what any of them could believe.
There was a large ball of light as bright as the sun with multicolored wings that had a metallic and glass feel to them. Some of the fighters knew exactly what this meant.
Fox was the first one to speak up. "Is that… ?"
"Yeah... " Responded Luigi. "That's-a him… "
As he was hearing the others' confirmation, Link deduced exactly what, or who, it was. "Galeem. "
