Had to get this idea out before I forgot it

Chapter 1: the gathering

Konoha. The village hidden in the leaves. Considered one of the most prosperous villages out of the rest of the great shinobi villages. It maintains this title more due to their shinobi training in teamwork and stubbornness. Konoha Shinobi knew the mission should take priority but they are more liked by the daimos because of their pension of seeing their teammates as more than just part of the team, but as friends and colleagues. Some of the other villages tend to only see the mission and can be seen as cold-hearted. That was made Konoha more approachable.

And this is why the village was chosen to hide one of the world's greatest secrets. And they don't even know about it.

They made sure of it

Naruto was walking around the village while eating something he recently found in one of the shops in the village. Or rather something that some crazy lady forced on him when he was mumbling to himself about what was a good place to eat.

When he said this, a woman named Anko seemed to find this as an opportunity to bring someone to the Dango side. When he had a bite of it, he had to agree that the Dango was good and then the two began to get into a conversation about possible ways of making it better. Turned into an argument that ended up with the woman chasing him all over the village and after hours of this, she conceded that it was a tie… while she panted heavily and on her hands and knees. He told her that they should do it again as he enjoyed the meal and the slight workout after it.

Now, he was making his way towards a certain location.

"Hey, Naruto!"

Naruto turned around and saw Sakura Haruno and Ino Yamanaka running towards him. "Hey, you two. Did you need something?"

The two females were now standing in front of him with Sakura shaking her head while Ino put her hand on her hip and raised an eyebrow.

Ino sighed as she said. "Can't we just join you on your walk around the village? It's not like we really need anything from our friend."

Naruto chuckled as he gestured his head in the direction he was going. "Well, I don't mind the company. So let's go." with that, the three began to continue to walk through the village streets as they talked about what they had been doing recently.

"So, when are you going to change out of that eyesore of a jumpsuit?" was Ino's question as she looked him up and down

Naruto looked down at his outfit and titled his head. "What's wrong with it?"

Sakura and ino looked at him disbelievingly as Sakura responded. "Naruto, it is an ugly outfit. I mean why can't you find an outfit that is more…. I don't know, presentable?"

Naruto huffed in annoyance as he just responded. "I don't see why it even matters."

Ino crossed her arms as she stated. "It matters because it shows that you have no fashion sense if you think that thing is ok to wear."

Naruto scoffed before taking a few steps ahead, spun around, and began to walk backward "please~! You two only got into fashion recently. Why should I care about looking good to anyone?"

Ino and Sakura shook their heads disapprovingly as they continued to walk with Saura at naruto's left while Ino was on his right.

Sakura then looked towards Naruto. "So do you think it will be just us this time?"

Naruto shook his head. "Nah. I heard that this is the perfect time so we should be able to get this one for sure."

Ino sighed as she knew that if that was true, then this was going to be a long day. "I'm just glad that dad isn't being overprotective….. Again."

Naruto and Sakura laughed at the last time as Inoichi followed Ino all day to make sure that Ino wasn't going out on a date.

Amazing how on espionage missions, the man can go through compounds and buildings without anyone knowing he was there, but spying on his daughter and he was as obvious as a fire jutsu in the middle of a field of dry grass.

Naruto's mood dropped as he saw someone leaning on a building just ahead of them. The three stopped a few feet away from him. Naruto just gave an irritated "Sasuke."

"Naruto."

The two glared at each other till Naruto walked past him with Sakura and Ino following. With Sasuke joining them.

Sakura and Ino looked at each other while having a silent conversation with their eyes. Sakura gestured with her eyes towards Naruto with Ino doing the same towards Sasuke.

Ino sighed as she spoke. "Come on, Naruto. Aren't you going to let it go? It's been a long time already"

"No way in hell am I going to let this go."

Sakura looked over her shoulder and edged Sasuke. "Come on, Sasuke. Why don't you just apologize already."

"Hmph, why should I apologize?"

"Because you know that what you did was going to piss him off and you did it anyway."

Sasuke just shrugged as they continued to walk.

Ino and Sakura looked at each other before giving a long tired sigh.

Ever since a certain incident, Naruto and Sasuke were not on good terms. And it only got worse every time they met. And the only way to fix it was for Sasuke to apologize. Sadly, he wouldn't.

The group kept walking ignoring the curious looks they got as it wasn't every day that these specific kids would be seen together out in the village. Especially since it was well known that Naruto and Sasuke did not like each other.

But it wasn't their business so they let the kids be

Soon the group made it to where Naruto was originally going.

Training ground 44. Otherwise known as the forest of death.

Without a second thought, they entered the forest having no fear of the dangerous creatures that call this forest their home. As they walked, the beasts inside turned to them as they walked by and when they saw who it was, they shrunk in fear and backed off. The kids didn't make any indication that they noticed. Soon they made it to a clearing and saw that they were not the first ones here.

Naruto looked everyone over and made note of the ones here

Shino

Hinata

Shikamaru

Choji

And Kiba, without his Ninken partner.

Naruto nodded to them all. "Good, you're all here." he then moved to the trees surrounding the clearing and placed seal tags on them. Fuinjutsu was something that he had picked up some time ago and found useful for this.

Shikamaru yawned as he answered, "like we have anything better to do."

Kiba smirked as he looked at Shikamaru. "You maybe. But my mom has been telling me I should train more in our clan jutsu so I can be ready for the graduation exam."

Hinata nodded. "My father says that I should continue my training so as not to shame the clan."

Shino moved to sit down as he spoke. "It is illogical for you to do as such, all things considered."

Naruto finished placing the seals and brought his hand up into a tiger seal and activated the barrier he just set up around them. "Alright, everyone. Take your seats."

With this, everyone began to move and sat down in a circle.

Naruto moved to the empty spot of the circle.

Going clockwise this was the order

Sasuke Uchiha

Ino Yamanaka

Shikamaru Nara

Choji Akimichi

Hinata Hyuga

Sakura Haruno

Shino Aburame

Kiba Inuzuka

And finally Naruto Uzumaki

Naruto started. "Alright, so is there anything important that needs to be brought up?"

Hinata spoke up. "Yes. there have been a few close calls at the Hyuga compound and it is getting too risky for me to continue."

Shikamaru sighed as he looked at her. "We all knew that it was going to be risky even with everything we do. I'm guessing that we can consider it lucky that it is forbidden for anyone to use that doujutsu in the compound. And with how peaceful it is in the village, it is very rare for it to be turned on. And Neji is a little too prideful to use it on someone he thinks is weaker than him."

Shino nodded as he looked at the blunette. "Is there anything that we must do in order to avoid issues?"

Hinata shook her head. "For now, no. but we should keep it in our minds just in case."

Naruto nodded. "Alright. But if it comes to that, then make sure that it is only one." seeing her nod he smiled and nodded back. He then looked at the group "anything else concerning that needs to be brought up?"

Everyone thought about what happened in their clan and shook their head

He felt a smirk come to his face. "Alright. There is one small thing I want to bring up. This is about all of you. I realize that each of you has been gaining personality quirks that can be seen prominently in the clans."

Kiba clawed the ground while remaining seated. "Take that back! There is no way that we are starting to act like them!"

Sasuke rolled his eyes as he looked at Kiba. "Kiba, you just proved his point."

Kiba growled at Sasuke. "Shut it, you damn Uchiha!"

Sasuke glared at Kiba as if asking for a fight.

Naruto clenched his fists as he spoke in a low tone. "Sasuke, put those eyes away or I will rip them out of you."

Sasuke turned his glare at Naruto to show that he had the Sharingan activated. For a few seconds, he continued to glare but then took a breath and closed his eyes. Once they were open again, they returned to normal

Naruto nodded as he looked at the group. "It only makes sense that you gained some personality changes since you have lived with them for so long. It isn't an insult. It is just something I noticed. Don't see this as a bad thing. Father would most likely approve of this." seeing them all relax a bit he asked "so what else has been happening?"

Ino was the next to speak. "I doubt anything big has happened to any of us since we are all trying to get ready for the graduation exams."

Sakura agreed with this. "Our parents would want us to focus on it so that we don't fail. So it's just been encouraging words and the like. Honestly, this meeting is a little unnecessary."

Choji crossed his arms as he shrugged. "Maybe but it is nice for all of us to get together at least." he then looked to Sasuke and Naruto. "Well…. Most of us."

Shikamaru sighed as he looked at the two. "Are you two still at it? Seriously, Sasuke, just apologize already and we can move on."

"There is no way in hell I am going to say sorry for what I did."

Hinata shook her head at him. "You know what you did was pushing it. And I may have done the same but I apologized to all of you and Naruto told me that I should honor them. You on the other hand are just doing this out of spite."

Sasuke just huffed. "One day, it will show you that what I did was a good idea. Then you will see that I didn't have to be sorry for it."

Naruto crossed his arms. "And until that day, you and I will never see eye to eye."

The rest of the group groaned before they got back to this meeting. They talked about some small things that happened in the clan and anything interesting that happened in the village. After an hour of small talk and just enjoying each others company, Naruto called it

"Well, I think we have been away long enough. Should we call this meeting adjourned?" seeing everyone think about it for a second before nodding he spoke again. "Alright. You know what to do to end this meeting. Call out."

They all nodded and in clockwise order, they called out.

Sasuke closed his eyes "Shukaku" once they opened again, the sclera changed into black with the iris changing color from black to golden yellow with a black diamond star as a pupil. "One-tailed Tanuki."

Ino closed her eyes "Matatabi." opening them to show that the sclera changed into black with the iris of her right eye changed from her normal color to bright yellow. "Two-tailed Bakeneko"

Shikamaru sighed as he closed his eyes "Isobu". Opening them the sclera changed into black with the iris changing to yellow with a red outline and a black pupil. "Three-tailed turtle."

Choji followed suit "Son Goku" his entire eye changed into a solid orange. "four -tailed ape"

Hinata closed her eyes "Kokuo" and opened them to show her lavender eyes turn into a gentle blue with a black pupil. "Five-tailed Dolphin horse."

"Saiken" Sakura closed her eyes before opening them again to show faded black eyes with a white line that was seen going along the edge of her eyelids. "Six-tailed Slug."

Shino reached up to his sunglasses. "Chomei." once the glasses were removed, they showed, much like Choji's solid red eyes. "Seven-tailed Kabutomushi."

Kiba lowered his hood as he closed his eyes "Gyuki." he opened them to show solid faded pink-brown eyes. "Eight-tailed Ushi-oni."

Naruto nodded as he finished. "Kurama." he shut his eyes before they shot open to show glowing red eyes with slit pupils. "Nine-tailed Fox." looking over all that sat with him he finished.

"As leader, I call this meeting of the Bijuu, over."

Now I know there will be some confusion but to clear up one major thing: there are NO Jinchuriki in the elemental nations. And that should tell you who they are

All will be explained in later chapters including what Hinata and Sasuke did
