Here it is, the very first chapter of one of the 3 Zelda fics I'm currently writing.
YES I know this chapter is short. YES I know it's kinda weak. Bear with me. Next chapters will be better.
Compliments are very nice, reviews and criticism are always appreciated, flamers will be used to roast Navi and Ruto to a crisp.

Disclaimer: Link, Zelda, Malon, Hyrule and all that stuff don't belong to me. This is FANfiction, get it? The concept for this story as well as the OCs later on are MINE though, so no stealie.
Link's head felt fuzzy. Where was he, again? He looked around. He was in a forest. Lost Woods, perhaps? He got up, dusted his tunic and started walking in no particular direction. He had his shield with him, and the Master Sword... it was awfully quiet.
Soon, he saw light. It was Hyrule Field. Relieved, Link rushed out of the woods, welcoming the sunlight. He could see Lon Lon Ranch straight in front of him. He could see Malon just outside the gates. Malon saw him too.
"LINK!" she shouted, waving frantically. "Over here, Link!"
"I'm coming, I'm coming," said Link, still feeling hazy. He ran over to her.
"Finally, Link! Zelda was getting worried!"
"What?" said Link, but Malon grabbed his arm and dragged him all the way to Hyrule castle.
The guards saw Link approaching, and smiled. They opened the gates for him, and bowed him in. As soon as he passed the gates, still being dragged by Malon, Zelda came running out of the castle.
"LINK!" she said, clearly relieved. She hugged him. "I was so worried! Come in, tell me what happened!"
Link was led into the castle by Zelda. she stopped in the main hall and hugged him again.
"You were gone so long... I thought... something could have happened to you..." She paused, breathing deeply. "I... was overreacting, I guess. You can take care of yourself... But please... tell me what happened..."
Uncomfortably, Link shifted in her arms, trying to find something to say.
"Honestly... I don't know."
Zelda looked up suddenly.
"What do you mean... you don't know?"
"I... I can't remember anything. I don't mean to freak you out, but... How old are you? And me? How old are we?"
"T-twenty-four..." she said, cautiously, backing away a little bit.
"...Uh-oh..." he paused. "...I... I think we have a problem... The last thing I remember... I sat down by the river for a rest... when I was 17..."
"Oh goddesses..."
"I mean, I think I must have hit my head or something... Please, don't be scared!"
"I'm not scared, I'm worried. Amnesia is not something we toy with... Especially since you just lost seven years of memory! Come on, we need to get you a doctor!"
"I feel odd... Is there anything you have to tell me? You seem nervous."
"Actually, Link, yes, but I can't tell you just now. You've been through too much already. Get some rest, I'll call the doctor."
Link didn't move.
"Where am I supposed to go?"
"Oh. Right. I'll take you to your room."
That said, she took him to a private chamber with a small bed and a wardrobe.
"Just stay here for now. I'll tell you everything in the morning."
