Falling for an unexpected

This poem is based on the fourth chapter of my current story, Traveling with Sesshoumaru.

Betrayal, how many times have I endured it,

yet here I fall, through the blue sky, to my death, by betrayal…

Jealousy?

I guess you could call it…

it's the reason why I now fall to my death…

I hold out my hand for a hero…but who will save me?

Inuyasha isn't here…

I hold out my hand to a hero…

to a most unlikely one…

will he save me?

Air rushes though my ears… it seems we're miles apart…

He reaches his hand to mine… but we're too far apart…

His golden eyes… burning brighter then the sun… pierces though my soul… so much passion in them…

Please save me!

We plunge downwards through the air, time stops as I try to reach for his hand.

The lake under us comes closer… will I die?

No… Sesshoumaru please save me!

He passes by me… his silver hair grazes me, his long tail caresses my body as he disappears below me…

What's happening?

I fall… all I see is the sky…and silver hair?

I see his long locks, his tail…his warm glittering golden eyes…

I'm passing by him… he looks at me with those eyes, eyes that peer into my very soul.

His arm catches me…yet we still continue to fall… but I seem lost, lost in his golden eyes…

So mysterious…what do they hold I wonder?

We fall together…

I'm not afraid anymore… I wonder why?

In midair above the lake we stop…

my black hair rests gently on his warm tail…

his single arm, holding me close to his body…

his hair, long and silver, falls gently like petals on a breeze to his side…

I'm lost in his eyes…yet darkness takes me…

The end.
