The roar of the engine was what woke Miko up, she rubbed her eyes. It did not go missed by her where she was. The Decepticon warlord was in a slower glide than he was when she slept. There was a hum as he noticed she had woken. He sped up, lifting higher into the air. Miko sat up, yawning as she rubbed the back of her head.

"Morning Megs." She giggled, Megatron grunted. Jerking himself sideways, she yelped as she fell onto her side. She rubbed her arm as she sat up once he settled back down. He chuckled as he sped up again and again.

"We're half an hour away from your desired location," He explained. Miko nodded and crawled forward to get a better view of the outside world, "Do you wish to go in there alone, or shall I accompany you?" He asked as the clouds blanketed them. He shuddered, the cold wetness was not unpleasant, just an odd feeling.

"Nah, Rikugein is still in the city, Bunkyō-ku to be more specific… I think you might have to hide in a bush." She admitted. Megatron hummed as his response.

The holographic screen was from his own point of view, Miko did not care to question, though she would have found out it's purpose was for minicons who'd be travelling with Megatron. More feral minicons got motion sick very easily and liked to see where they were going. Turns out, humans were very similar.

They flew over Attu station, near the Bering sea. Miko figured Megatron must have taken a detour to give her time to sleep. It occurred to her that this could be the case.

"How long was I asleep for?" She looked up to the top of the ceiling. His chest plate.

"An hour and a few." He admitted, Miko nodded as they sped through the sky. The sky above was not blue, instead it was black and showed the stars. The edges of it were a pale blue as the world's curves were easily seen from her seat. Miko felt invincible from all the way up here, she could see the 'Cons loved to choose airplanes and jets for their alt modes. She felt free as Megatron titled to go more to the right. Miko perked up as she saw the beach. She squealed, throwing her arms into the air. She fell onto her back as she laughed.

"We're actually in Japan!" She pointed at the screen, Megatron let out a low chuckle as he started to lower. It was still night in Japan, so the roads were quiet and there weren't many people to watch them.

"I do complete my promises dear Miko, yet I doubt the Autobots are completely unaware of this venture," He admitted, Miko swallowed and nodded as she hugged herself, "So do whatever you want and make it brief." Miko watched the city of Tokyo rise before them, even when late at night it was bustling as every large city was. The park was large, it was 87,809.42 meters squared. Opens at 9 am, closing at 5 pm, so they did not need to worry about being spotted by strangers.

"Hold on." Megatron warned, Miko gripped onto one of the wires. Megatron hissed as he nose dived down, Miko screamed as she watched the ground rush towards them. Then, the cogs started to whir around her, the metal shifted. She closed her eyes tight as the wind rushed through her ears. She cried out, then the slam came. It was sudden and abrupt. It shook her down to her core, the falling had stopped, the wind had stopped. There was just silence and the noise of Tokyo in the distance. She took a deep breath and opened her eyes. She was in Megatron's palm, he was knelt close to the ground as he observed the area. The great lake was the main point of the area, surrounded by trees blossoming into spring. Miko stood, her arms were shaky as she steadied herself against his thumb and index.

He lowered his hand down, letting her walk a distance away. She looked around, before returning to him.

"Come on, there's an area up here." She led him to a small area that was slightly elevated, there sat some benches and seating areas. Miko sat and so did he. There they sat in the quiet. The city, though it surrounded them, it sounded so distant. Miko watched the light reflected the skyscrapers glow, the waves that rippled softly were hypnotizing. Miko watched them as she hugged her knees again. She reflected on the events of everything. She didn't even notice it, she was rocking gently, back and forth. It soothed her. As they sat there, in the content silence. There was a hum, Miko perked up as she listened. She turned to look at Megatron, who was watching the city further ahead. She realized it was him, the soft hum was him breathing. Megaton's fans and vents were humming, so quiet she hadn't noticed it. She glanced up at his faceplate. No readable expression as his eyes looked to the left. She turned back to the lake. She nodded as she sat up a little straighter. Megatron took note of this as he watched her. Miko undid her hair, it fell down to her shoulders. She ran her hands through her hair, making it fluff up. Megatron exhaled as he looked at the lake again. His fan whirred and then the humming went back to normal as he adjusted his sitting position. Miko moved back and sat closer to him. She sat beside his knee as he looked back down at her.

He dared not to break the silence. He also enjoyed it quite a bit, he never got the silence that this place brought often. It was relaxing, a vast difference between here and the Nemesis. While he did call the warship home, he much preferred places like this. Megatron closed his eyes. He leaned back, enjoying the serenity and the moment of silence. No war, no Decepticons nor Autobots, there was just him, and Miko. There was no difference in them, no divide that there was usually when you had a human and Cybertronian. There was always a divide, no matter how much the Autobots pretended. Yet, here? It did not matter. They were just two beings, enjoying the scenery.

Megatron came to realize, he smirked, this was the human factor. The advantage the humans gave the Autobots became very clear.

The advantage to having an excuse to step away from the war, and enjoy the planet's beauty. To observe it's cultures and people closer up then they'd usually be able to. Miko looked back up at him, he returned the gaze. Miko tried to find the words to break the silence, they'd need to be significant to dare break such a tranquil moment.

"The Autobot's will probably be here soon." She muttered. Megatron grunted as he closed his eyes. He didn't make an effort to hide his signal, they could have easily tracked him. Miko stood and walked over to him, she stood beside his thigh. Leaning against it as she thought, tapping a hand against the metal. He cupped his hand around her, she exhaled and nodded.

"I don't want to go back to them… Not yet." She admitted, looking up at him. Megatron smirked and scooped her up. She knelt on his palm, he held her as he stood. "You shouldn't have to go back because they want you to. Let their words ring in their audio receptors, let the pain you felt ring a hundred times in their sparks." He growled, transforming, he burst into the sky with terrific might. She reflected on what he said, nodding. He was right. They deserved to feel the pain they made her feel. Anyway! She was safe with Megatron… That set of words weirded her out, best not to dwell on them.

Megatron twisted into the air, not too harshly so she'd remain comfortable as they soared above the air. They settled back into a more melancholy silence than the one before, Miko hugged herself and laid back. It was cold here, and she felt it. She was only in her shorts and t-shirt. Megatron diverted and went towards the warehouse yards of Tokyo where import and export were stored. Miko felt herself being whisked back to sleep. The soft vibration of the engine helped her.

.

.

Megatron transformed as he landed in the warehouse yard. As he transformed, the sleeping human laid in his hand. He frowned, with his other hand he forced the first storage shed open. The metal creaked as he bowed down and walked in. Boxes upon boxes sat there, he gently placed Miko down onto one of the box tops. He stood, and stretched. Who knew humans slept so much? It did make it easier for him to carry her around. It did not surprise him that the Autobots had started to pick and choose favourites, seeing how their Wrecker sector of their army dissolved so quickly. He knew why, Ultra Magnus was prone to allowing his favourites to get away with a lot and his least favourites could not even breathe without a reprimand. He was more surprised that the Prime had played favourites. He had never known Optimus to be like that. Yet, his time in that Scouts mind made him realize that maybe the Prime did. The difference between the interactions with the one they called Jack, and then Miko… It was odd. Like some mini-con pet that needed to be trained, her enthusiasm was treated as a bad thing.

The Autobots seem to admire how calm, mature, reserved the Jack one was, how quiet he was when they spoke and how he only gave his opinion on the rare occasion. Meanwhile… Miko was loud, enthusiastic and very eager to get into the brutal parts. Many times she had spoken about how eager she was to join the battle, to lay siege on the mines beside her comrades.

The Autobot's did not see Miko as a comrade though, more like a pet they had to babysit. They tried to dull the shouting, limit the noise pollution she caused in the usual sombre base. He didn't mind it, honestly the silence was deafening and thicker than he liked without it. Her eagerness was hard to find nowadays, all the Cybertronians had grown old and tired and simply wished for this war to end, almost forgetting why it started.

As he searched through the next few boxes he continued to ponder. Did the Autobots tell them the whole truth about how the war started, that he and Optimus had even met… All the betrayals each side had suffered. Megatron looked back as Miko curled up in her sleep, he grabbed what he needed from the boxes and walked back to her. Carrying the soft materials, he scooped her up and carried her once again. Ducking under the door he looked back at the city. His men never frequented here, a good thing. He did not want them to know the softness he was showing.

Transforming he burst forth and took to the sky once again. The darkness's embrace came with quietness and the cold from this world's atmosphere. He made sure to fly slowly and not to make the turns too sharp. A plan had been formulated in his mind… A plan to form the human factor in the Decepticon ranks.

Miko yawned as her head laid against the pillow, the soft rumble of engines. She frowned as she looked around. When did she gain a pillow? Or a blanket? She rolled onto her back, staring at the screen. She was still here, with Megatron. They were soaring across the Japanese seaside. She tilted her head as she crossed her arms behind her head.

"Awake I see, do you sleep like that often?" Megatron's voice made her perk up. Shrugging, she closed her eyes, "Kinda. I sleep a lot when things stress me out, kinda nuts, 'eh?" Sitting up and stretching, Miko watched as Megatron pulled more into the mainland.

"Your body forces itself to shut down when it experiences a mass amount of stress, interesting. Problematic, but interesting nonetheless." He admitted, he lowered towards the forest that rose towards them, "I have found an interesting area where you should be able to clear your head and where I can safely have energon be delivered to me." He explained. Miko nodded, she watched the sky zoom past. She perked up as sakura petals flew past them. The cherry tree blossom forest sat neatly, the man made beauty filtered through the natural forest of green leaves. Megatron sat down as he transformed. Miko stretched and yawned as she watched the clouds move past. Megatron was talking into his comms, to who? She assumed Soundwave from how friendly the warlord sounded to whoever it was, which meant it certainly wasn't Starscream. Watching the clouds and the wind, it was hard to believe she was just among them. Flying, soaring in the sky. A freedom she couldn't experience with the Autobots who were all grounded. Even Wheeljack's ship just felt like a plane. An idea came to Miko's mind, well two.

What if she convinced Bulk to become a plane! It would be great! He could do dogfights with the plane 'Cons, he could transform mid-flight and punch Starscream in the head! That… That and what if she sat on top of Megatron when he was flying, like people riding dragons! That would be amazing! Soaring high, feeling the wind through her hair! She yelped as a groundbridge swirled to life and a whistling drone came from through. She stared in wonder as Laserbeak carried a energon cube almost double her size, the minicon landed beside Megatron. Unattaching herself from the cube she floated up, and then shot back through the groundbridge. It closed and now it was just the two of us again, in less than five seconds.

"Soundwave has always had a fondness for efficiency." Megatron chuckled as he drank from the cube. He sighed in relief as he refueled, he placed down the cube with a quarter of it already gone. Miko sat beside him, right beside him this time.

"Thanks for this, by the way. You could have just kidnapped me." She laid back on the grass. Megatron watched her with an expressionless face.

"How do you know I am not going to take you away yet?" He hummed. Miko froze, ah… That was a problem. She shot up and stared at him. Scrambling to stand, she looked behind herself. Megatron chuckled as he lifted the cube to his lips.

"Please, we both know how it ends if you run. Don't you remember what happened before?" He chuckled and drank. Miko went quiet as she nodded. Tears started to well again.

Here, she had tricked herself into believing he was her friend or something. No! He was a Warlord! The enemy! She pressed her hand just against her eyes as she tried to will herself away from tears. Megatron hummed as he placed his hand beside her. She tensed and stared up at him.

"Yet, I shall not capture you. No, I believe you shall come willingly to me, in your own time. After All, you do have my contact in that communications device." He hummed. Standing, he scooped her up and began to walk. Miko was tense in his palm as he smiled down at her. It was eerie, the lack of lips matched eerily well with his shark-like teeth.

"Now, when the Autobots eventually find you. You've got to convince them you've been kidnapped, correct?" He guessed. Miko nodded, how was she going to explain she had gotten friendly with their sworn enemy!? She couldn't… She'd be sent away from the war completely. Hell! She may be sent back to Japan!

"Okay? So?" She asked, shrugging as he entered a small cave system. Tall enough to hold him, Miko looked deeper inside to see Soundwave with a cage of some kind, she looked back at Megatron.

"Now, you are already in my debt, let's be clear with that. Why not solidify it? I fake a kidnapping and in exchange… Well, expect a call at any time." He lifted her up to be more eye level with him. She swallowed and looked at him. She casted her eyes down and nodded. He smiled as he looked at Soundwave.

Soundwave's screen came to life, Miko watched the Autobot's signals be represented by dots on the maps. About five minutes until they arrived, Miko took a deep breath.

"Shall we begin the performance?" Megatron cooed, he watched with a smirk as she stood. Then Miko jumped. He grunted as he caught her.

She started to scream and scream, "Let go of me Buckethead! Bulkhead is coming to beat your afts!" Megatron smiled as he cupped her in both hands. Not caring to be too gentle with her now, Soundwave opened the cage; it was steel and looked uncomfortable. Miko struggled and screamed.

.

.

The engines roared and revved as Optimus burst into the cave, he transformed and pointed his guns at Megatron. Miko was in a cage, with metal bars and black glass in between each bar. She was kicking and struggling as Megatron held the cage sideways. He shook the cage, looking up at the Prime.

"Ah, hello there dear Optimus. You've interrupted something a little important." He chuckled, Soundwave at his side. Miko watched as Bulkhead drove in and charged at Megatron.

"Bulkhead no!" Optimus roared, everything seemed to go into slow motion. The glass almost cracked as Megatron curled both sets of his claws wrapped around the cage. Protecting her as Bulkhead's face connected with his faceplate. The crash of metal ran in her ears as sparks of metal connecting and making frictions rained like fiery rain. Miko screamed as gravity disappeared and she started to float, it was fun until she went crashing down. She sobbed in pain as she laid in the broken glass against the cold ground. Megatron's claw held the cage tight and she came to realize that the ground was his palm. He had shielded her, she smiled slightly.

She placed a hand on her phone, it wasn't shattered or broken. She sighed, okay. She had to admit, she was in his debt… Even more now seeing how he saved her from flying sixty feet into a wall. Miko paused, why was there no feeling in her arm? She looked down to see the clear shards in her arm, she stared. The glass was uneven, mostly in her palms. Luckily none in her wrists.

The pain started to tingle up her arms, she stared as her sweatband became red instead of pink.

She could hear shouting, they were going to continue to fight. For once, Miko found that she didn't want the fight to continue. No… The clashing metal that had not even appeared yet made her want to claw her ears apart. She needed it to stop… She wanted it all to stop! She just wanted it to all stop! No more running, no fighting! No! She just wanted to scream, scream for someone to help. So she did.

"Megatron!" She screamed, she didn't even realize whose name she had screamed until she had said it. She heard the frightening, stopped, soft mutters. Then the fist unfurled, she blinked as the brightness from the sunlight almost blinded her. Megatron knelt as he looked down at her. Then his optics widened as he saw her arms. Bulkhead stood there stunned as he watched the blood make a small pool at Miko's knees.

"Scrap! Miko!" Bulkhead dropped to his knees, he opened his hand to her. She stared up at him, the memory of the base played all over again in her head. She stood and yet fell back into Megatron's palm. He used his other hand to wipe the glass away. Soundwave stood over them, watching them. Optimus took steps back and contacted Ratchet. Bulkhead was at a loss of words, so Megatron filled the silence.

"You wrecker's have always been brutish, never expected it'd get to the point you'd even hurt your human pet." Megatron sneered. Bulkhead lifted his arms, yet he simply just dropped it. He couldn't break his eyes away from Miko. Who was in tears as held her arms.

"It would be smart to leave the glass in, it'd stop the blood from flowing out and you dying from blood loss." Megatron grunted, a Groundbridge burst to life. Optimus walked to Megatron, who silently watched the Prime.

"Megatron, I call for your common sense and kindness to release Miko back into our custody so we may take her to a human medical centre." He transformed his hands back and opened his palm. Megatron watched and examined him for a cold and tense moment. Ratchet came thundering in, he transformed in a rush and fell to his knees before Miko. He ignored the Decepticon's and even the Autobots.

"Now what trouble have you gotten yourself into now?" He muttered as he did some scans. Miko felt her throat tighten again, yep. Of course, it was all her fault again. It always was.

"Yeah sure. This is my fault, it always is…" She muttered to herself. Megatron titled his head and smirked as Ratchet fell silent. He stopped talking and simply worked. Optimus sighed and shook his head.

"Miko! I know what the other's said may have hurt you, but know that they did not mean it and I hope you can forgive them." He sighed, "They have been spoken to and do wish to say sorry." Optimus clasped his hands together. Miko stared at him, she looked at Megatron. Who watched her.

You shouldn't have to go back because they want you to. Let their words ring in their audio receptors, let the pain you felt ring a hundred times in their sparks. The words rang in her ear, she frowned. It seemed that they only had decided she had overreacted. Miko scrunched up her face and turned away from the Prime, Optimus frowned.

"Miko, please speak to me."

"Just take me to the hospital." She spat. He stood back and nodded. Ratchet scooped her up and they started to carry her. She looked up, as Megatron and Soundwave walked out of the cave. It was a shallow cave, the wind blew and a low hum rang in her ears from it. Miko watched Megatron stand there, cherry blossom petals wisped around him. His purple accents glowed softly, and it reflected onto the petals. Miko looked at her phone, nodding to herself as she looked back at him.

It was all silent as Miko stared up at Megatron.

He had this smirk about him, he could have easily killed her. He had revealed to her that maybe she wasn't worth more to the Autobots than energon was. Those bright red eyes watched her as she was consumed by the Groundbridge. Everyone else had their back to him.

Her heart stilled as he waved, his palm empty this time. Miko gripped the phone as blood dripped onto it. She lifted her hand and waved back.
