Sorry Guys!

Here's the chapter you were supposed to get on Thursday.

Sorry again, I mean, what a place to leave ya'll hanging.

Call me out if it happens again, I'll appreciate the reminder.

Lots of Love Descendants!

-Dark-

Shit.

He bites his lip as another shiver runs down his spine.

Why couldn't he have more friends?

To protect his other friends.

Damn, he fucking wished he had more than his pocket knife.

Fuck, he wanted his bow.

And Tuck.

Something was wrong, and the best he could do right now was assemble an army.

But this army was way too fucking small for his liking.

Oh!

He scrambles for his phone.

What the fuck was he thinking?

Why hadn't he-

Oh yeah.

Panic.

Blind unadulterated panic.

He ignores his shaking hand as he searches his contacts and calls.

"Red." The stoic man answers.

"Yo, so like, I'm seeing and hearing shit, and I'm in the medical wing. But the biggest thing-"

He frowns at the dial tone.

Was that a no?

His head whips when he hears the door shut.

"I got them, what's-" Lonnie's eyes widen as she spots Evie in the bed, "What the fuck happened?"

"Uh-"

"We have no idea." Doug frowns, his hand still in Evie's.

"Tell Baymax to scan the apples."

"Kay," Lonnie doesn't question it before she turns to the overinflated marshmallow.

He takes a deep breath before he looks down at this phone.

No answer from Jay or Carlos, but-

Hopefully-

Knowing their parents-

A guy could hope!

They were squeezing as much fun out of the last day as they could.

No worries there?

Fuck, why couldn't he lie to himself?

Shit!

Ben.

Duh.

He hits dial.

"Roy?" Ben answers in surprise.

"Yo, medical wing, now, please."

"W-Be there asap." Ben hangs up.

He jumps when the door to the room slams against the wall.

"Where the fuck-" Mal growls when her eyes land on Evie, "Who's fucking ass am I kicking." She demands. Her green eyes were glowing with outrage.

Not flickering.

Not flashing.

Just glowing.

His eyes widen.

He'd thought he'd seen Mal angry before.

Thought he'd seen her at her worse.

But this?

Oh, he was so wrong.

"We don't know what's wrong yet," Doug frowns as he holds up his hands.

Mal's nostrils flare as gray smoke pours out of them.

Not good.

So not good.

"Baymax said a lot about where the apples are from, but there's nothing wrong with them," Lonnie explains as she rushes back over.

He looks around the room, "Lonnie," He says slowly, "Help me move the beds."

Lonnie's brow furrows before she turns to find Mal smoking, "Nope." She walks over and pulls Mal to the side of the room.

Yeah, fuck that.

Lonnie was so much fucking braver than he was.

He frowns as the two fall into a hushed conversation.

His hero.

A dragon Mal on top of everything else that was happening was not something he wanted to see.

Or deal with.

He nearly jumps out of his skin when a hand settles on his shoulder.

"FUCK!" He yelps.

"You called me," Cobra informs him in a calm voice.

"Can you fucking not-" He takes a deep breath and shakes his head, "I did."

"What is happening here?" Cobra asks as he looks around the room, taking in Doug with Evie, and Lonnie still trying to calm Mal down.

"Evie took a bite of an apple, choked on it, and is now PTFO'd with no fucking reason." He rushes out.

Cobra nods as he pulls his phone out.

"And I like-" He shivers, "Like, heard a-a cackle, and saw something." He whispers in a hushed tone.

"Which was why you called me."

"That, and you have guns."

"Smart." Cobra puts his phone to his ear.

"Hello Janice, please head to the medical wing. We need your expertise on a matter." Cobra explains before he hits end and dials another number.

"Nani-" Cobra's eyebrow raises over his glasses. "I see. No, it would seem Evie has something strange happening with her right now as well. They just left? Got it." He sighs as he ends the call.

This.

This seemed so fucking-

Apple.

Choked.

Sleep.

Poisoned apple?

Cackle.

Deep blue.

Black.

Shit!

It couldn't be-

Could it?

His eyes drift to the sleeping princess before they widen, and he turns to Doug.

"Are you comfortable in your current state of sanity?"

"Am I ever?" He snorts panicky.

"If you believe you heard something, then I believe you."

He breathes in relief, "Cool," He nods. "Cause I fuckin' did."

"And we will get answers." Cobra nods.

"Awesome, cause I'd really, like fucking really, like that-" He admits with a frown.

"Let me ask the Baymax unit a few questions, would you mind calling Carlos?"

He nods.

He looks around the room.

Lonnie was talking Mal down.

Cobra was speaking with the robot.

Now or never.

He rushes to Doug, "Yo," He whispers.

"Dude, she hasn't even moved." Doug bites his lip as he rubs Evie's hand.

"Just, like- Kiss her."

"Kiss?" Doug shakes his head, "Really man?"

"I know, I know." He rolls his eyes, "But just like, do it?"

"No." Doug shakes his head again, "Why the hell would I try something like that right now?"

"Dude," He frowns, "For once, can you just like- Please? I don't think it has to be lips if that makes you feel better."

Doug furrows his brow as he watches him, "Seriously?"

"Dead ass."

He watches as Doug looks around the room, "Either way, you're explaining later." He glares.

"Just-" He glances down at Evie in concern, "Please?"

Doug bites his lip as he brushes the few stray hairs out of Evie's eyes before he quickly bends over her and kisses her cheek.

"There-" Doug sits back up, "hap-"

A bone-chilling scream suddenly echoes around the room as Evie's eyes snap open and she sits up, crawling backward on the bed before she huddles against the wall.

"Evie!" Doug slides onto the bed with her as Mal rushes to join him on the other side.

"E, breathe." Mal commands.

Ha!

Carlos was-

Cold washes over him.

Carlos! He turns on his heels before he barrels out of the room.

He doesn't even pause when he shoves Ben out of the way.

"Evie woke up." He calls out without bothering to yell over his shoulder.

He pulls his phone out and calls Carlos.

Please.

He'd never wanted to be wrong so bad in his life.

Please pick up.

He groans when it goes to voicemail.

He slams out of the building, taking the stairs two at a time before he parkours across the grounds, heading towards the dorms as he tries Carlos again.

"Roy?" A concerned voice calls out.

He stops so suddenly his legs slide out from under him and he ends up in a bush.

A ringing bush.

His heart freezes.

It was his ringtone, the startup music to CoD.

No.

No!

"Fuck! No! Not Carlos too!"

"What do you mean-"

He holds up the phone in his hand as Jay and David help him up.

"I saw, I heard, and then- And now- Fuck!" He looks around wildly.

Jay's eyes widen as he takes the phone. "No."

Jay turns to David to find him already on the phone.

He shakes his head as he looks Jay over.

"Evie was, apple, but she's okay now."

"Apple?" Jay's eyes narrow, "Did she, did she hear her? Evil Queen?"

"Don't-" He frowns before he nods his head. "I think so."

Because why else would she have screamed like that and huddled in the corner of the bed?

Jay closes his eyes and lets out a defeated sigh before he turns to David.

David frowns, "Go, I'm talking to Hiro now. I'll meet you there."

When Jay doesn't move, he carefully reaches out to put a hand on his shoulder, "Mal's in there too. And Doug. Lonnie. Ben. Cobra, I think the big FGM is on her way."

Jay looks down at the phone in his hands before he looks back up at David, "I, I don't want you alone." He finally whispers, his voice rough.

David nods, "Let's go."

Jay nods, "Lead the way, Red."

"But-" He frowns, "Man, I gotta go get my bow."

"It's like that?" Jay asks.

He nods, "I ain't- I heard, saw- No way."

Jay turns back to David, "I'll go with him. Please go check on Evie. I just, I really don't want anyone to be alone right now."

"It's fine, man, you go check on the princess I'll meet-"

Jay glares at him, "I hurt everywhere right now, but I will still kick your ass if you fight me on this."

"But Mal's 'bout to go full Dragon- I just-"

"Hearing that I saw Jafar isn't going to help her. Hearing that Carlos isn't-" Jay's eyes water, "Please. David, please go."

"Right," David hangs up his phone. "Hiro's looking for him, now." He squeezes Jay's shoulder. "See you guys soon." He nods before he takes off up the stairs.

Jay watches him all the way until the door closes behind him. "Bow." He says as he turns to him.

"B- Right." He frowns, confused and concerned.

"You need the bow if we're protecting our pack," Jay grimaces as he slaps his back, "let's go."

He closes his mouth before he eyes Jay, who just admitted to hurting everywhere.

He had no idea what the fuck was happening.

Why Jay was hurt.

But- "Set the pace?"

Jay nods before he starts jogging.

Welcome to panicked Roy.

Short.

But so not sweet.

So much just happened in such a short chapter.

Mal on the way to going full Malgon.

Doug waking up E.

E in full blown crisis mode.

Lonnie talking down a dragon.

Ben confused as fuck.

Cobra concerned.

Jay taking care of one of his new pack mates.

What a fucking cluster, right?

Pieces clicking yet?

Anyone one else terrified for C?

Cause you should be.

Very terrified.

It's not gonna be pretty.
