Misty raised an eyebrow as she gazed at Lark and Stone whispering to one another. Both their voices were low, like they were planning something.
The red-head started walking towards them and as she neared them she threw her arms around their shoulders and leaned in close. "What's the tea?"
Lark rolled her eyes while Stone chuckled, his ears lowering down as he laughed before raising back up again. "Lark and I were just talking." He began with a grin.
"Stone, I know that look." Misty mused, straightening up and folding her arms up. "Who was it?"
Stone huffed and crossed his arms and grumbled. "My facial expressions betray me once more." He looked back up with a huge grin though and said. "All of Ninjago City is coming together to throw a party for the ninja. The anniversary of The Overlord's demise, well the first one."
"Dang, not even a person." Misty sounded disappointed and then looked to Lark and Lark continued on with the story.
"We were asked to provide the flowers!" Lark did a tiny jump and smiled warmly. "I'm so excited! I've never done an event before, especially one this large!"
"Really!" Misty gasped out loudly. "I'm so proud of you! You're gonna show the whole city how beautiful your flowers are."
Stone revealed a toothy smile and said. "We were just discussing possible colours and types. We were just about to get you before you decided to invade our party."
"Good thing!" She declared. "I want the tea when it's hot, not cold." She scoffed jokingly, ruffling Stone's hair. He flattened his ears but pricked then back up when she raised her hand.
"Maybe a dark purple or light black and gold." Misty mused. "With a bit of green and then colours of the other Ninja, Wu, and Garmadon."
"That's what we were thinking." Lark hummed. "Kinda show the Ninja slowly riding of the darkness."
"One issue though." Stone pointed out, his tail waving slightly. "Garmadon's colour is purple." Misty and Lark both frowned at that notion.
"He's right." Lark muttered under her breath. Then she raised her head. "But we dont have to remind them of his destructive roots." She declared. "We can do Burgundy. That way it's still purple but also declaring the change within him."
Misty and Stone exchanged a glance, their eyes warm and soft. "That's a lovely idea." Misty smiled. "Now we just gotta decide on the flowers."
"Orchid for Garmadon?" Lark suggested. "It can represent his love for Lloyd and strength for overcoming the darkness."
"That's a great idea!" Stone mused. "Yellow Roses for sure." He snapped his fingers. "They stand for new beginnings and friendships."
Misty and Lark both agreed. "Maybe not green Roses though." Misty laughed. "Maybe Green Carnations though."
"Smart idea." Lark agreed. "Maybe blue Irises for Nya, to represent her faith and hope in Lloyd."
"I like that, what about Jay?" Stone asked.
"Desert Bluebells?" Lark suggested.
Misty picked up on the idea fairly quickly. "They mean constancy and love. His love for Nya and being dependable?"
"Heck yeah!" Stone grinned. He pulled out a notebook and began writing down what they had and got. "Okay, Zane?" He tilted his head slightly.
"Oh. Good question." Misty folded her arms a bit. "All white flowers kinda represent virginity." She pointed out.
"Tulips might be out best bet." Lark decided on. "They represent respect and forgiveness. Leading into his kind heart and will to help others no matter the cost."
Stone took note and then asked. "Cole?"
"Black Tulips? They dont necessarily mean death, they mean power and strength. It'll just be hard to get them in. But if they dont work out we can think of something else." Misty suggested.
"Sounds good." Lark grinned. "Now for Kai."
Stone put his pen up and said. "Red Hibiscus? I know they mean love and passion but when gifted they represent beauty and delicate nature, reference to his beauty and his kind nature towards his sister."
Lark smiled softly. "I like that."
Misty nodded in agreement. "Same here. Now for Wu."
Lark and Stone both frowned.
"Yellow Lilies?" Misty suggested. "To show Happiness and Cheer with the return of his brother?"
"Oh! That's a good one!" Stone grinned, writing down in his notepad. "Now for The Overlord." He frowned.
"Black Roses." They all said at the same time. The three of them all bursted out laughing at that.
"Atleast we all agree on that." Lark jokingly stated.
They all high-fived. "Soon." They all laughed.
Stone gently pressed his notepad into Lark's hand with a smile. "You'll do amazing." He told her. His eyes gleaming, filled with many emotions.
"Thank you." Lark gently pressed her forehead against his. "I can't do any of this without you guys!"
The werewolf pulled back and wrapped an arm around Misty and Lark. "We're the A-team with flowers! Let's show everyone how much we got this."
As the three did a group hug a storm began to pick up outside, Lark and Misty both feeling like they could fall through their best friend, their joy overwhelming. When they all pulled back they put their elbows together with a confident gleam in their eyes.
"Let's prove to everyone who's the best." Misty grinned, the storm picking up outside.
Stone grinned. "We'll make it a fact!" The floor seemingly feeling heavier under their feet.
Lark smiled and said. "We'll show them the best team! We'll even beat the ninja!"
"Break!" The three all shouted out jokingly, laughing loudly, their joy echoing through the room. The three quickly separated and began to go back to their work, Stone gently holding his tail to stop it from wagging and hitting all the plants surrounding him.
"Dork." Misty grinned turning to Lark with an eyeroll who just laughed in response.
"He's our dork, and we're his dorks."
"Stop spitting facts!" Misty gasped out, gripping her chest. "We gotta be secretive!" She added with a wink.
"Dang, you right."
"I hope you both know I can still hear you!" Stone suddenly yelled at them. Lark and Misty both bursting out laughing at his random, yet needed comment.
