Chapter 1

He stepped out of the car, and the smell of rain hits his nostrils. He had always wondered if he will ever get the chance again to experience the petrichor in the air of his homeland. He smiled. 20 years he spends in London away from his family doing hard work and earning for his family. And the result of his hard work was right in front of his eyes. He was able to give his family a luxurious living. He cast a look towards the young lad who just came and stood beside him with a cherishing smile on his face.

Boy: Baba kiya yeh hamara ghar hai? (Exclaiming his excitement) ye tu London wale se bhi bara hai. Aur yahan tu bhai bhi hon gein. I am curious to meet him.

He smiled and motioned him to follow him and finally moved towards his house with proud steps.

A smile was playing over his lips that widened as soon as he enters inside. He saw the figure of an old lady with her back facing him reading a newspaper.

Person: "Maa".

Vibha turned around: "Prad..yu" …. The woman got so flustered with that single call of his son that she stumbled in her own words.

The person ran towards her to secure her in a hug. The woman also clutched her tightly.

Vibha: "Mujhe tu apni aankhoon par yaqeen hi nahi aaraha. Tum itne arse baad."

Pradyuman while holding his tears: Aap logon se dur kaise reh sakta tha. Jaise hi mauka mila foran wapis aagaya. (Turning towards the young lad) Daya ye tumhari Dadi hain.

Daya moved towards her to take her blessings while she happily hugged him.

Vibha: (smiling) Kitna sanskari hai. Khush raho. (Looking at both of them) kitna acha lag raha hai tum dono ko dekh kar bas ab maine bhi keh diya. Ab jane ki koi zaroorat nahi hai. (Flaring her hands on Pradyuman's face) Abhi tumhara bhai aaye ga tu dekhna kitna khush hoga. Rozana tumhare bare mein baat karta ha Suresh.

Pradyuman: Maa woh…

But his sentence was interrupted by the cracking of the door as it got opened. The attention of everyone was shifted towards the door now. A young boy entered inside with strict facials and expressive brown eyes. but he was so busy fighting with his thoughts that he didn't even notice the presence of them. As soon as he lifts his face, He felt all his energy drained from his body. As soon as his and Pradyuman's eyes met, a sea of emotions got traded between them. The younger one looked at him with a lot of hurt and agony in his eyes while Pradyuman looked at him and smiled.

Pradyuman softly called his name: "Abhi"

But Abhijeet went from there giving him an intense stare at both of them making his genuine smile disappear from his lips. Daya stands there puzzled while Pradyuman hurriedly averts his gaze.

Vibha: Are. Dekho tu zara is ko. Kaise baap samne khara pyar se bula raha hai aur akarta hua chala gaya.

They heard the loud bang of his room door closing. Pradyuman felt stabbed on his heart by the reactions of his son. He was so excited to meet him but everything falls apart right in front of him. His painful eyes were continuously revolving in his head. Was he the reason? He asked the question to himself.

Vibha: Are Pradyuman janne do isse. (Murmuring under her breath) In maa bete ka tu yahi tha. Dekhna abhi thore dino mein theek ho jaye ga. Is ko choro, abhi dekha Suresh aaye ga who tumhein dekh kar kitna khush hoga.

Pradyuman quietly excused himself: "Maa mein zara fresh ho kar aata hun. Daya aajoa mere sath."

Vibha quietly watched him go and murmured under her breath: Is larke ka dimaagh theek karna pare ga.

That's just a glimpse guys. Tell me. Should I continue it or not. Waiting for your response.
