"Lark!" Stone cried out as soon as he saw her. "The old man is scary." He whined, hissing behind her and trying to make himself as small as possible.
Lark stares in confusion before looking to Lloyd who just shrugged and said. "Yeah, Wu's like that."
This was Lark's first time meeting Wu. Misty and him walked out together, Misty making a beeline straight for Lark as soon as she saw her.
"Hello." Wu spoke calmly.
Lark took a step back, trying not to trip over Stone. "Hi..." She trained off.
"My name is Wu. You must be Lark. Your friends and Lloyd spoke of you, and quite highly as well I might add."
"Erm. Yes. I'm Lark. And thank you?" Lark questioned. Casting a glance to Lloyd who coughed slightly and said to Wu.
"You dont have to be so formal. Relax."
Wu's gaze cut deep into Lloyd, but Lloyd wasnt backing down.
"Apologies." Wu responded. He looked to the group of three and said. "Night is falling. You're more than welcome to stay and meet the rest of the ninja if you please. I bid you farewell." With that Wu walked away.
"That was weird." Lark scoffed.
"Yeah, even for Wu..." Lloyd sighed. "Oh well. What do you guys plan to do?"
"I think I want to stay the night." Lark admitted.
Misty nodded in agreement. "Yeah... it might be for the better."
"I'll stay if the creepy man stays away." Stone spoke up.
"Sounds like a plan." Lloyd gave a thumbs up and added. "I'll take you guys to the living room. You all might meet the rest of the ninja but we'll just set up your sleep grounds first."
Lloyd led the small group to the Living Room and said. "I'll go get as may spare blankets as I can, you guys figure out where you want to sleep."
The Living Room wasnt the largest but it also wasnt full of a lot of things. There was a blue couch and a blue loveseat and a deel coffee brown coffee table. The floors were wooden and there was a rug under the table.
"I'll sleep on the floor." Lark said immediately. "Who knows what that guy has planned for you two."
Misty and Stone both immediately started to argue, but Lark was not going to let up.
"Misty, Stone you two are sleeping on the couches and you will not be getting an option."
Stone growled lowly, his tail waving back and forth before it came to a stop and he sighed. "Fine." He growled out. "But you get the most blankets."
Misty nodded in agreement. "Stone's right. You get as many blankets as possible. Possibly all the blankets."
Lark giggled and said. "Why thank you."
The group sat down in the couch as they waited for Lloyd to return, cracking jokes and having a blast.
It was a shock when they saw a red-head pass by. She had her hair in a ponytail and passed the Living Room entrance but lowly walked backwards and peeked inside. "Hi there." Her smile... it was so amazing. "I'm Skylor. Who might you guys be?"
"I'm Misty." Misty smiled, she gave Skylor a little wave.
"Lark." Lark grinned and happily answered.
Stone shyly ducked his head. "I'm Stone." He introduced himself.
"It's nice to meet you guys. You all must be who Lloyd's been referring too. He spoke of how he'd like Wu to see you guys." Skylor smiled. She entered the room and sat down on the floor. "Are you guys spending the night?"
"Yup!" Lark nodded. "I think Wu might have plans for Stone and Misty."
"I hope not." Stone mumbled. He really wasn't comfortable around him, huh.
"He's imitating at first." Skylor nodded. "But as you get to know him you will see he isnt that bad."
Stone tilted his head and said. "Alright. I'll believe you."
Misty leaned back slightly and said. "He's... he seems rather interested in our family line more than us."
"Well, if you guys have elemental powers then you've probably inheritated it, or you could even be the first to wield the power!" Skylor smiled. "He's just curious."
"I'm back!" Lloyd said as he entered the room. "Sorry, ran into Jay, oh, hey Skylor!"
"Hey, Lloyd!" Skylor waved at him. "Your friends are really nice. You should bring them over more often. Since there hasnt been a threat in a while it'd be good to do things that aren't so... the same. I can already tell these three are an amazing pair."
Lark blushed and said. "Hehe, thanks. I'd love to spend more time with you all. You're quite a gal, and I want to get to know you better."
"I'm down." Misty gave a thumbs up. "I'm sure we all will become best of friends."
Stone tilted his head and said. "It'd be fun!"
"Perfect!" Skylor smiled. "The other ninja will love you guys!"
"You all can meet them tomorrow." Lloyd nodded. "Here." He handed them each two blankets and then placed some extras on the loveseat. "You guys have a good night. Are you going to need help with anything?"
"Erm. Not that I can think of." Lark answered, she looked to her best friends who also shook their heads.
"Perfect!" Skylor smiled. "Any allergies?" She added. "I'll make some extra breakfast. It is my turn afterall."
"Peanuts." Stone admitted shyly. "And chocolate."
Misty shook her head and so did Lark.
Skylor nodded thoughtfully. "Alrighty, dont worry Stone. I'll avoid those."
"Thank you so much!" All three of them said at the exact same time.
"Anytime!" Lloyd smiled.
"Of course!" Skylor said at the exact same time. "You guys better settle down for bed. Night you guys!" Skylor bid them farewell before leaving the room.
Lloyd looked to them and said. "You guys take care! I'll see you in the morning. I'll take you lot to work if need be it." He added.
"Thank you." Lark whispered. Lloyd nodded to her and soon left them in the darkness of the Living Room as the light flickered off.
