Lark groaned as she opened her eyes, rubbing them as she rolled over. Her back ached. She looked up at the couch bleakly and blinked repeatedly. Stone and Misty were missing, but Lloyd was sitting on the loveseat reading a comic.
"Lloyd?" She choked out. Lark's voice was hoarse. What happened while she slept?
"Hey, Lark." Lloyd greeted, his voice faltering when her he realized she didnt sound too good. "Come on. Let's go to the kitchen." He smiled. "People were just starting to eat, I was just waiting for you, I was actually going to wake you after I finished my page." He smiled. "Come on."
Lark watched him walk away, she forced herself up and followed after him, pushing her hair out of her face, ugh. It was so messy.
"Hello, Lark!" Skylor greeted. "We saved you and Lloyd a seat next to Cole and Nya."
Lark pointed to her hair and blushed heavily. "Ah. You look lovely. Dont fret. We know you just woke up." Lloyd reassure her, leading her over to Cole and Nya. Lloyd sat down next to Cole and Lark did the same with Nya. Beside Nya was Jay, who was next to Zane and Pixal, who were next to Kai and Skylor, who was next to Stone, who was next to Misty, who was on the other side of Cole.
"We'll go around the table and all introduce ourselves." Lloyd explained. "Like, I'm Lloyd."
Lark went next. "I'm Lark! It's nice to meet you all."
"I'm Nya." Nya smiled. "You must be those friends Lloyd left the party with."
"Yes we were." Stine smiled.
"Im Jay!" The lightning ninja laughed, extending his hand to Lark, Misty, and Stone, who each shook it.
"Hello. My name is Zane. It's a pleasure to meet you all." The ice ninja went next.
"My name is Pixal." The other robot nodded. "I look forward to getting to know you all a bit better."
"Skylor." Skylor smiled, she looked over to Kai, who had his arm draped over her shoulders.
"I'm Kai, Master of Fire." He grinned.
Stone rolled his eyes slightly and smiled. "My name is Stone."
"And my name is Misty." Misty continued on. She looked over to the male next to her.
"I'm Cole!" He smiled warmly.
"Perfect! Introductions are out of the way." Nya clapped her hands together. "So, when am I allowed to train again?" She asked Jay.
"Not for a while, Love." Jay sighed. "I'm sorry."
Nya huffed and continued to eat her food. "So... Misty, Lark, Stone. What do you guys do for a living?"
"Larks owns a shop." Stone answered. "Misty is the manager and I'm just an employee."
"Nice." Nya hummed.
"Yeah. Lark's shop is where I get all my flowers for you. They do an amazing job." Jay told Nya. "I really think everyone should get flowers from you guys."
"They're always so beautiful!" Nya gasped. "And now I know where to get them!"
Lark shyly smiled. "I'm just happy you like them. Misty always seems to get your orders, so really give her all the credit. She did your last one."
"It was amazing, Misty." Jay and Nya turned their affection to Misty who blushed and ducked her head in embarrassment.
"Really. It isnt anything special, but thank you so much."
Cole smiled and said. "So long as you enjoy it."
The group nodded in agreement. "Very true." Skylor hummed. Kai pulled his arm back from her and said. "Well, we gotta get to work." Kai said. "We'll see you lot later?"
"Of course!" Lloyd smiled. "Don't forget, Ronin and his wife are coming over later. You definitely want to meet her. Ronin has really talked her up. I'm sure excited."
"Im surprised he got a wife." Kai coughed making a few laughs pass the table.
"You have a job?" Stone asked. "I thought you just... trained and save people?" He questioned confused.
"The only one not with a job is Lloyd." Nya answered. "And that's purely because he's currently being trained to be a sensei, plus Wu knows we all have plans." She added. "He also knows he wouldnt win this argument."
Stone nodded in understanding. "I hear ya." He mused.
After they said their byes to Kai and Skylor the two left the table after cleaning their plates up and putting them by the sink before they left.
Soon the rest finished up and Stone, Misty, and Lark, after a small argument finally convinced the ninja to let them clean the dishes. It was only polite. Lloyd was cleaning the table as Lark was washing the dishes, Stone and Misty drying them, Nya was reading something while Jay went down below to work on an invention while Cole was getting ready for work.
Heck if she knew were Pixal and Zane went to.
It didnt take long and soon the four were walking to the back room for Misty and Stone to see Wu once more.
The look of uneasiness would haunt Lark when she watched Stone follow him. Misty seemed to care less.
Lloyd looked to Lark and pointed to Stone as the door closed but Lark simply shrugged. Her heart sped up as she was once more seperated from them, but she had Lloyd. She had Lloyd.
"Let's just get you home." Lloyd sighed. "Then we can go to the book store if you want, unless you need to get to work."
"We're not open Saturdays." Lark chuckled. "So I'm free all day. Let me just... look better." She shyly rubbed her fingers together and soon turned Lloyd smiled and grabbed one of her hands, leading her to the door that leads them outside.
"Ready?" Lloyd asked her. Lark nodded, her eyes showing her newfound courage. "Sweet!"
Lloyd ran off once much like he did yesterday and much like yesterday summoned his dragon. He landed it on the ground and Lark pulled herself up on it. Wrapping her arms around his waist. "I'm ready to roll." She smiled.
Lloyd smiled and his dragon took off swiftly. "I do hope you know you'll need to tell me where you live." He chuckled.
"That'd probably be smart." Lark giggled.
