Cobra did it.

He and Nani were supposed to-

But when Ben texted him, letting him know that they'd made it into the room-

Like hell was he taking that support away from them.

So, no session yesterday.

But Kai dammit, there was no way he was letting another person beat him to it.

He missed them.

He missed his son.

It had been torture to stay away. To limit themselves to texts and occasional calls to check-in.

He knew they needed time to figure things out on their own.

They needed to comfort each other.

But Kai-damn it, he wanted to be there for them too.

Wanted them to know it was okay. That despite how shit the situation was, it wasn't going to stop them, stop him, from caring about them.

He knew Jay worried about his and Nani's well-being.

Worried about their safety.

Worried about how soft he was.

How laid back.

How much he hated violence.

That didn't mean he couldn't protect Jay in other ways.

He knew how much his son got stuck in his head.

How he let worry eat him alive.

How stressed he got. How many panic attacks he tried to cover up and pretend never happened.

How he could go days without eating.

How he could- Could so many things.

He knew so much about who Jay was.

Maybe not his past, but he knew him.

Knew Jay.

So dammit if he wasn't going to go check on them.

And like fuck was he letting Hiro beat him to it.

Honestly, he was shocked the impulsive iki brah hadn't beat him to it already.

His eyes narrow.

Right.

He needed to check on the little tweaker next.

Kai if that kid wasn't main-lining amphetamines like meth.

And Lilo.

He closes his eyes.

Fucking grown-ass kids.

He rolls his eyes, later problems.

He tilts his head as he narrows his eyes.

Maybe even... Nani problems?

He shakes his head.

He pushes himself away from his desk.

He was done with waiting for the iki's to leave their room.

And despite his and Nani's conversations-

He needed this.

Maybe more than Jay did.

He pauses when he hears a knock on his office door.

Fuck, did he have an appointment?

He blinks as he looks down at his desk.

His desk that was covered in paperwork and stacks of folders.

He wasn't even sure where his appointment notebook was.

He groans.

Cobra was going to kill him if he fucked up this badly with him here.

"Did you get lost?" Jay teases as he opens the door.

"When don't-" He blinks before he rushes over and pulls Jay in for a hug, "Brah," He grins as he pulls back enough to look him over.

He'd actually left the room.

Left his room and sought him out.

Of his own volition.

It made him so damn happy, made warmth spread to his fingers as he holds him by his shoulders, looking him over.

He looked so-

Surprisingly chill.

He smiles down at him, trying desperately to keep his pride to a mild beam.

He wasn't sure how Jay managed to pull himself out, but damned if he wasn't happy about it.

"Sup dad?" Jay grins as he tilts his head to the door, "We should move so C can come in."

"I wasn't going to interrupt." Carlos chuckles as he peeks through the open door.

He grins before he pulls Carlos into a hug. "Sup iki brah?"

"Jay said it was time for us to go back to counseling," Carlos explains as he hugs him back, "and that it would be better if we left the room for it."

He looks to Jay as his grin widens, "Ey?" He nods in appreciation before he releases Carlos from the bear hug and ushers them into the room.

Jay rubs the back of his neck, "Nothing was getting done or any better in the room. Sorry we didn't realize it sooner. But I didn't want us to have to relearn everything."

He chuckles as he drops his hand on Jay's head, "Smart, brah."

Kai.

He'd been so worried he was sure his hair was going gray.

For nothing.

Jay had come around.

And had of course dragged his pack with him.

"And lucky." Jay shrugs, "Lonnie let me know how dumb I was being. We were being."

He can't help his lopsided grin, "They're good for that."

"Did you know Roy can shoot an orange in mid-air?" Carlos asks before he picks Dude up and sits on his favorite couch in his favorite spot.

"I knew his dad was Robin Hood." He rubs the back of his neck, "But no, I didn't."

All he and Roy talked about was how he always felt so awkward, uncomfortable, and self-conscious.

Like an outcast.

Sometimes Tuck.

And sharing toking stories.

He'd mentioned shooting once or twice, but it was always so casually.

"Yeah, well he can. I'm glad Mal knows that cleaning spell now, or the room would have smelled like orange juice for days." Carlos nods, "It was really cool though, like Lonnie threw it while he wasn't even ready and then swish, arrow in our ceiling."

"Huh," He chuckles, "Gonna have our next session-" He glances at Jay, "He know yet?"

Jay sighs, "No, I was gonna try getting comfortable with it first." He frowns before he turns to Carlos, "They set up a practice range for us if we want to learn to use a bow or guns."

He rubs the back of his neck sheepishly.

"Really?" Carlos tilts his head as he looks between them.

"Ey," He nods.

The thought of these kids needing to learn to shoot horrified him.

But he'd agreed it was the best way to put them at ease.

Still, the idea of Carlos holding a gun was deeply disturbing to him.

"We're all getting back into sword training and parkour practice first." Jay folds his arms over his chest, "Which is actually something I wanted to talk to you about too." He says as he turns back to him.

He tilts his head to the side, "Sup, brah?"

"I-" Jay bites his lip as he lowers his arms to his sides, "I need our Ohana to join our training." He takes a slow, deep breath, "Please."

"Kay." He grins.

"Swords and parkour." Jay presses firmly.

He nods, "If you need it," He shrugs, "I'll do my best."

"Seriously?" Jay asks, his eyes narrowed suspiciously.

"All I ask is for you to keep in mind I'm old and haven't worked on cardio for-" Kai, "A decade-ish."

"Don't worry," Carlos rolls his eyes as he stares pointedly at Jay, "It'll be good for you."

He snorts at the resigned acceptance, but more so, "Bitter?"

Carlos shakes his head, "Just… Ugh, did the saying have to follow us here?"

Jay crosses his arms as he grins, "Wherever we go, it goes."

"I'm not complaining." Carlos holds his hands up, "I'm all for getting tips from Lonnie and seeing Evie spar again, and I've been running, what more do you want?"

"Evie spars?" The words didn't feel right together.

Jay snorts, "Oh yeah, she was too lolo over Mal's dress last time we were all at the house. But yeah, she's pretty good too."

"Huh," He shakes his head, "You brah's are always so full of surprises." He grins.

"Rule five." Jay shrugs.

"Rule five?"

Jay's eyes narrow, "I knew he was fucking trolling me." He grumbles as he looks away.

Who was-

Wait.

Trolling.

With rules?

He snorts, "Cobra has an interesting sense of humor."

"Yeah, he does." Jay shrugs, "But I'm getting used to it." He sighs and rubs the back of his neck, "It's hard, but it's also hard to not trust what he says, ya know? Especially when he like, actually cares and shit. He's still weird, and he still hits all my flags. But, yeah."

His lips curl in a smile, "Weird is a nice way to put any of our Ohana, brah."

"I knew you guys were weird for wanting me." Jay snorts before he walks over and hugs him.

He chuckles as he returns it, "What can I say? You're a good fit."

"I'm excited to get back into learning how to family," Jay whispers before he claps his back.

Learning how to family?

He bites back his snort.

Jay was already family-ing so well he could teach him a few lessons.

He mimics Jay before he turns to Carlos. "So, ya ready for a sesh iki brah?"

Carlos takes a deep breath and nods, "If you are. I'm getting tired of the nightmares." He admits as he absently scratches at his healing arms, "But it was-" He shivers.

His chest aches at the sight.

He frowns before he walks over and hesitantly puts his hand over Carlos's.

These kids were going to kill him.

"It was a lot of shit brah, but, we'll work on it." He glances at Jay, "And your pack'll work with us to help with the terrors."

Jay nods before he points at his pocket, "I'm just a text or call away if you do want me to stay."

Carlos nods, "I'm okay with David. Go talk to Cobra." he shoos Jay, "You need it too."

His lips twitch.

He'd never met kids who were so understanding of each other. So compassionate despite the shit they'd dealt with.

As painful as it was to think about though, it only gave him more respect for them.

Jay smiles as he walks over and ruffles Carlos's curls. "If you insist." He chuckles as Carlos swats him away.

"You can go now," Carlos blushes.

"Right." Jay sighs as he pulls his hand away, "Sorry, I'm going."

Reluctantly.

Hesitantly.

Tentatively.

He can't help himself, "I've got him, promise."

He turns to Carlos, "Is it okay if I call him if things get too intense for you?"

"That's an option?"

"Ey," He nods, "It's up to you, brah."

Carlos nods, "Then, yeah. If it gets like, really bad."

He resists the urge to ruffle his hair, "I'm pretty good at seein' really bad." He smiles, "So, if- If for whatever reason it gets there, I'll make sure to call him, kay?"

Carlos nods again before he turns to look at Jay, "So go."

Jay breathes out in a whoosh as he smiles, "Heard Pup…" He walks backward, "See. Going."

"Hey dad?" Jay calls back when he gets to the door.

God, he'd never get sick of that.

Who knew he'd love being called dad?

Kai knows he didn't.

"Sup brah?"

"So um, depending on what happens…" Jay rubs the back of his neck, "I was hoping we could maybe get dinner? Or something? I- um, I've missed you guys."

How could he feel overwhelmingly happy at something so simple.

Jay missed them just like they missed him.

He even wanted to get dinner together.

He couldn't wait to tell Nani.

"Missed you too," He smiles softly, "Figure out where and what and we'll be there." He grins, "Til' then- Stop avoiding Cobra." He teases.

Jay snorts, "Damn, caught me." He looks down at the floor, "See ya later." He waves before he slips from the room, closing the door quietly behind him.

He smiles before he walks over and plops on the floor, "So," He turns to Carlos, "Want to bot fight while we talk?"

Carlos smiles, but shakes his head, "I took it apart at one point and haven't finished all the modifications." He sighs, "I have a lot of half done projects right now. I think it's driving E nuts, but she's not saying anything."

"Well if Evie isn't saying anything," He nods as he puts his weight on his hands. "Then we all agree that it's understandable," He frowns, "A lot has happened."

Carlos nods, "Can I ask a weird question? I've been scared to look it up on Roogle."

Weird?

Or concerning?

Carlos roogled everything.

"Always." He nods.

"Um. My mom-" Carlos blinks, "Cruella-" He blinks again before he shakes his head, "She's like, really proud of all her fur coats. And she's always trying to get more. Like different furs. Or things like her snake belts and weird purses." He bites his lip as he starts scratching the back of his hand.

He frowns as he pushes himself to his feet and casually walks over to sit on the edge of the couch before he takes Carlos's hands in his.

He squeezes once.

Gently.

Comfortingly.

It was better to not draw attention to his habit of self-harm.

At least not directly.

The last thing Carlos needed right now was to think he was judging him or disappointed.

For now he just wanted to interrupt the cycle that led him there so he could talk.

"When, when I-" He shakes his head, "Humans can't be used to make jackets can they? Like, that doesn't work, right? Or would it?"

He looks up at the ceiling and closes his eyes as bile crawls up the back of his throat at the thought of what Carlos experienced in that warehouse.

Carlos.

Maybe one of the kindest, sweetest kids he ever met. What type of hell had that- that-

What had she put him through?

Kai help him.

He swallows the acrid taste.

He couldn't lie but-

How was he going to navigate that question without further traumatizing Carlos?

He takes a deep breath before he turns to look at him, not sure he'd ever been so hesitant to answer a question.

"Like, I read how they tan hides once, except I couldn't get through the whole thing. So, I don't know. It was horrible. I didn't even get past the skinning part. Can a human be skinned?"

He grimaces, "I'm glad you asked instead of roogling that."

"Meeee toooo." Carlos sighs, "Sorry, it's weird."

He shakes his head, "Never be sorry for wanting to know things, just be careful of what you want to know."

"I'm just, I'm trying to figure out if she was really there, or if she was just the mean voice in my head. Because Hiro and Lilo didn't see her, and I don't remember Hiro getting me. We were just suddenly outside and it was cold. And I've been trying, but I can't like, make sense of anything."

He looks up to the ceiling again.

He wasn't a violent person.

He really wasn't.

But damned if the situation these kids were in didn't make him want to hurt something.

He swallows a sigh before he turns back to Carlos, "When your body is under that much stress, you can forget things. Not realize things are happening. You most likely were in a fugue state when Hiro got you out of that room, which is totally normal for the situation you were in.

"I think I hit him," Carlos admits as he looks away.

"He's had worse."

Carlos's brow furrows, "But I hit him."

"Did you do it on purpose?"

"I don't remember. I- I was fighting someone. I think."

"I think Hiro would've been a lot more concerned if you weren't fighting. I know it's scary to hurt someone you care about. Especially if it was an accident, or in this case, done out of blind fear."

"It is scary. And hurts, like a lot." He sighs, "I get why Deez used to run away."

He nods, "I can imagine you have a lot more understanding of her motives now. I know how scary it can be to do something so out of character-"

Like him wanting to hurt something.

"-Like you have no control of yourself." He squeezes Carlos's hand, "But that's the thing, you didn't have control of yourself. Not in the moment. And that is one of the scariest things to realize."

Carlos nods.

"Hurting someone you care about, in any capacity, even if it was an accident, or unintentional, can be painful and make you question yourself too. It's hard. Hard to know that a part of you is capable of that."

"He's not mad about it though?"

This kid.

He takes a deep breath.

"Honestly? He didn't even mention it, I doubt he even noticed it in his panic."

That, or felt like he deserved it.

But this wasn't Hiro's session.

Or something he could even mention to his lolo iki brah-in-law.

He wouldn't breach Carlos's trust like that, even if it was to help him.

"And I promise you, he was panicking. I know you haven't known each other long, but Hiro and Lilo fell in love with you pretty much the day you met."

A small smile tugs up the corners of Carlos's lips before he frowns, "Is it weird if I do ask him about it?"

"Not at all,' He shakes his head, "In fact it would probably be the best thing you can do." His brows knit together, "Want me to ask him to come up? I know he will. If you're okay with him being in your session."

Would probably fucking be a psycho, but still love it.

And two for one counseling would certainly help ease his concern.

"People do it all the time. Especially parents and their kids."

Carlos's face brightens before he purses his lips, "Isn't he busy?" He sighs, "When we like, when we were hiding in our room I know he, all of you, were still working on Ben's plan." He looks away, "Working to save our friends."

Kai.

He was nearly choking on Carlos's guilt. It was that palpable.

The kid was nearly drowning in it.

"Between you and me," He offers him a smile, "I think he could use the break, he's a little cra-"

He closes his eyes.

Don't.

Say.

Cracked out to the fucking young teen.

The last thing he needed to know was if these kids were familiar with that too.

"-zy right now."

"Is he going to have to be hospitalized again?" Carlos asks as the back of his head hits the couch.

A small smile cracks on his lip, "Gonna be honest with you, you should probably get used to that."

"No." Carlos sits up as he pulls his phone out, "He said he's a dad now and has to set a better example for me." He taps the one and puts the phone to his ear.

He chokes on the cough he was trying to cover his snort with.

Was Hiro good for this kid?

Or was this kid good for Hiro?

The phone rings once before it picks up.

"I need you, please," Carlos says into the phone.

"Where." Hiro all but demands, loud enough for him to hear.

"David's office."

"Heard."

"Thank you."

"'Course Chibi-Chan."

Carlos smiles absently at the nickname before he ends the call.

He smiles, "Feel better knowing that he's on his way?"

Carlos tilts his head, "Yes, but I still feel bad for bothering him."

"If you were bothering him he wouldn't have answered." He points out.

"But he or Lilo always answer."

He smiles, "Do you know how many times those two have screened our calls?"

He shakes his head.

"Too many."

Carlos's brow furrows as he looks down, "Roy told us we need to get over the whole bothering people thing."

Bet he did.

"I know it's hard, especially for you."

"It's usually not a good thing to bother an adult." Carlos sighs, "Actually, never. It's never a good idea to bother an Ov, adult, -" He sighs again.

"It's going to take some time to adjust. Understanding you're not bothering them, us. Take time to figure out why it is a good idea. But that's okay. It's hard to undo the damage that was done to you. To your psyche. But, if we work together, I promise you it'll get easier."

"It's like training. It sucks at first, but then gets easier?"

"Exactly like," He nods. "It's just training your brain instead." He smiles encouragingly, "For instance, there's a thing called lucid dreaming where you can learn to control the direction of your dreams-"

Carlos blinks as he holds up his free hand, "You can learn to control your dreams?"

He smiles as he nods, "Yeah, brah. It takes time, and a lot of dedication, practice, and grounding, but yeah-"

"That, I want to do that." Carlos pulls his phone back out and opens Roogle.

He smiles, this was new.

And pleasant.

Carlos never interrupted him.

At least not on purpose.

But this time? This time he was excited.

"I'm dedicated. I can figure this out." He says as he scrolls through his phone, "Wait… What's EMDR?"

"Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing. It takes a lot of trust for it to work, but it's great at helping the mind heal from traumatic events."

"Can you do it?"

He nods as he tilts his chin towards the wall where the certificate hung.

"Can we maybe try that one session? I'll work on lucid dreaming first. Is there a list I need to like, check off?"

"Of course brah," He smiles, amused by Carlos's self-guidance. "As for as a list, counseling isn't really something you can tick off a-"

He turns at a screech of sneakers, before the door slams open.

His jumps at the same time Carlos makes a strangled screech and also jumps, ripping his hand away before he thankfully catches the kid in his arms. He quickly pulls him to his chest before the both tumble off the couch.

At some point during the flight Carlos even managed to wrap his arms around his neck.

Kid was like a cat.

A hyperventilating cat.

He gently rubs Carlos's back.

"Chibi-chan!" Hiro pants before he notices them, "Oh. Shit, sorry- I was just-" He clicks his tongue before he turns and gently clicks the door shut. "My bad, Chibi-chan. That was..."

"Thoughtless?" He offers with a disapproving glare.

"And dumb." Hiro nods with a repentant pout as he rubs the back of his head. "Sorry, he walks over to them carefully and sits on the floor across from them.

Shockingly silent.

"It's okay, Carlos," He offers softly, "It's just Hiro. You're safe." He continues soothingly, keeping his voice even as he repeats the words like a mantra.

"Sorry." Carlos eventually grunts around his slowly mellowing breaths.

He shakes his head, "It's okay Carlos, I'm not upset or anything of the sort. Just worried about you."

"You catch-" Carlos pants, "-like Jay."

"Reflexes." He smiles, "Lilo was a terror." He shudders at the memories of her jumping off the roof.

'David catch!'

He shivers. Her adorable voice would haunt his dreams forever.

"She loved trust games."

"That sounds terrifying."

"It was." He pauses, "Think surprise, but with catching a iki lolo kid."

Carlos shakes his head as he pulls his face away from him and slowly loosens his grip around his throat.

He can't help his deep breath.

Carlos grimaces, "Sorry, sorry," he struggles to tip out of his arms.

"Mine." Hiro plucks Carlos off of him. "Strangle me all you want. It's cool."

Carlos glares at him, "No. I don't want to hurt him or you."

Hiro shrugs, "Just puttin' it out there." He settles on the couch beside him, happily hugging Carlos before he looks over his head, "Shouldn't you be on the floor?"

"I mean," He shrugs before he stands and walks across to his favorite spot and plops down to face them. "It's my preference, but not a necessity." He grins lazily.

Carlos tilts his head as he watches him settle before he turns to Hiro, "I didn't mean to make you run."

Hiro carefully snakes his arm over Carlos's shoulder, "Ya didn't make him run."

"You. I didn't mean to make you run. Wait-" Carlos shakes his head, "Where were you?"

"Not important, and I needed the exercise."

"Careful not to say that in front of Jay right now."

"Why? Is it an open invitation? Cause, I'm totes down."

Carlos purses his lips, "Well, actually open makes it sound like you have a choice to not join. Which our Ohana does not. Have. A choice I mean."

David nods, "Jay needs it."

Hiro shrugs, "As I said, I'm down. It's been a while since I ran some obstacle courses."

"And swords," Carlos adds as he leans in closer as if he were inspecting Hiro's cheek.

"Eh, Wasabi's taught me some things." Hiro pulls Carlos back to his seat casually, "But I ain't complaining 'bout learnin' more."

"Lilo and Nani too." Carlos glares as he leans closer again.

He smiles at Carlos's inspection as Hiro reaches up and starts teasingly playing with Carlos's cheeks, "The Peleki sisters don't know how to back down from a challenge."

"Accurate." Hiro nods before he shifts in his seat, "Mind if I just," He pulls Carlos's back to his chest, "There, much more comfortable."

"Did I hit you?" Carlos demands bluntly as he twists to look up at Hiro.

"I mean," Hiro blinks, "Not hard enough to count."

"Your face is still healing," Carlos glares as he presses a finger to the fading yellow on Hiro's cheek. "Still healing. I've never bruised anyone."

"Think about it this way, T would be proud right?"

"Proud that I hit an adult that actually loves me?"

Hiro's whole face lights up, "As true as that is," he shakes his head, "I meant that you bruised someone."

Carlos sighs as he straightens out and stares down at his hands.

"Would it make you feel better if I punched you back?" Hiro questions,

He facepalms, "Hiro-"

"I deserve it." Carlos pouts as he turns to face him.

"Kay." Hiro shifts and pulls back his fist- grimacing at Carlos's flinch.

He facepalms again. "Are you- Hiro!" He says sternly, careful not to raise his voice as he jumps to his feet but not before Hiro gently fist bumps Carlos's face.

"There, we're even."

Carlos frowns as he opens his eyes, "That's not how hard I hit you."

"As giver-backer I get to choose how to give it back, so nay-ah." Hiro sticks out his tongue.

"Are those real rules?" Carlos asks as he turns to him.

He closes his mouth, "Rules are subjective to each individual."

"What?" He looks between him and Hiro, "That's, wait, that's- but-"

"-you're used to it, because each of your pack and friends on the Isle have different rules they adhere to? I agree." Hiro finishes for him.

Huh.

When the fuck did that happen?

Hiro wasn't supposed to make good counseling points.

Not that he was complaining.

But seriously, that little shit always acted like he misunderstood every piece of advice Nani, Cobra, and him gave him through the years.

Carlos frowns as he looks away, one hand picking at the scratches along his arm.

Hiro narrows his eyes before he wraps his arms back around Carlos and pulls him to his chest, loosely pinning his arms.

"I'm still sorry I hit you."

"Ah," Hiro nods, "No prob, I forgive you."

"Just like that?"

"Yeah," Hiro rests his jaw on Carlos's head, "just like that."

"Because you pretended to punch me back?"

"Told you giver backers get to choose how to give giver backsies."

"Even though it bruised you?"

"Even though it bruised me."

Carlos furrows his brow, "Then, I don't understand why you tried to hide it."

"Cause you're seventy percent adorable, thirty percent guilt."

Carlos narrows his eyes as he twists to look over his shoulder, "Robot science or not, you know that's not how that works."

Hiro blinks innocently, "Anatomy and physiology weren't my thing."

"I do not have time to go into that-" Carlos sighs, "Though I do have a final in Anatomy coming up," he shakes his head, "Not the point."

"So, what's the point?" Hiro questions.

Carlos frowns before he slides off Hiro's lap and faces him, "I don't like how knowing that I hit you made me feel, and you trying to hide it made it feel, worse."

"Huh," Hiro's brows furrow, "I didn't think 'bout that, sorry Chibi-chan."

He looks at the ceiling to hide his smile.

Sure, he was going to chew Hiro out for that fake-out punch later, but so far, he was shook by how serious Hiro was taking this.

For, you know, Hiro.

"Me too. I was afraid you were mad at me. But I couldn't remember it very well, but I keep having nightmares-" Carlos shakes his head, "And I think I was hitting you. Like a lot, because I can't be sure she was actually there, and if she wasn't there, then it was you that I was hurting. And that hurts more than being scared."

Hiro closes his eyes and takes a deep breath before he lets it out. "For the sake of honestly, the only thing that actually hurt was when you were crying out that you weren't my son- until I figured out you were talkin' bout your incubator, anyways." He drops his eyes to Carlos and smiles sadly, "But, I'm sorry. Nightmares suck and that sounds like shit."

Carlos frowns before he wraps his arms around Hiro and buries his face against his neck.

Hiro bites his lip as he rubs Carlos's back, "I'm sorry Chibi-chan, that sounds really scary. I'm sorry that shit keeps piling up on you like this. It's stupid."

Carlos shakes his head as he slowly curls himself around Hiro.

The three sit in silence while Hiro continues to comfort him.

"You also," Carlos sniffs as he pulls away eventually, his red face tear-stained, "promised, in the hospital. To not, be a bad example anymore."

Hiro's cheeks puff up before he breathes out, "Can I get a learning curve?"

"Can you, sleep every, night?"

"Every night?" Hiro pouts, "Can we negotiate?"

Carlos shakes his head, "I don't want you to get sick. Or pass out again. Or have to be in the hospital." He admits before he curls around Hiro again.

Hiro lets out a heavy sigh as he holds Carlos to him, "You drive really hard bargain kid, you know that?"

He looks between the two.

Question answered.

Carlos was going to be good for Hiro.

But, he smiles at the two, Hiro was also going to be good for Carlos.

He'd never seen his brother-in-law back down so quickly.

Usually, the more someone pushed, the more- Dickish Hiro would get.

"Chibi-Chan?" Hiro calls out before he tries to twist his head to see Carlos, "Chibi-chan?"

A soft smile tugs at his lips before he stands up, "Looks like nap time." He teases, "you promised."

Hiro glares at him.

"Oh, go pop another Xanax." He chuckles before he walks out of the room, clicking the door behind him.

They were a good match.

He pulls out his phone and calls Lilo.

"Sup?"

"When was the last time you slept?"

"I plead the fifth. Duh."

Uh-huh.

"Carlos and Hiro are taking a nap in my office if you don't want Nani to know that."

"Really?"

"Really."

"Thanks, brah. I'll head over after I grab a few things. It'll be nice to see Chibi-chan again."

"I knew you could be agreeable."

Lilo groans, "Don't tell Nani."

He snorts, "Seriously, just come take a nap."

"Yeah, yeah."

He could hear the pout, but he waits her out.

"I'm on my way, alright!" She whines.

"Love you, iki lolo."

"Love you too, brah."

He smiles as he slips his phone in his pocket and lazily makes his way to Cobra's office.

The man would wake him up when he was finished with Jay.

He plops on the couch.

That had been a roller coaster.

But it'd been a ride he'd never forget.

OMFG, we did it, this is like three chapters in a row of content filled fluff and I'm fucking loving it.

Are you guys appreciating the after care?

Cause fuck knows we were. Putting our babies through all this shit has been a difficult process, especially when it comes to our sweetest cinnamon roll.

This chapter gave me all the LoLz. Which, ya, ya, I know, tooting my own horn here, but still, it was fucking funny.

Not to say Dark didn't get a few feelz gut punches in. Cause fuck bitch… Can you make humans into clothes?

Seriously girl, that's some fucked up shit. *applauds Dark for living up to her moniker*

Were you as relieved as David that he didn't actually have to answer C's question tho? Fuck knows that kid doesn't need any more night terror fuel.

Seriously tho, I had a fucking blast writing this chapter. Hiro is like one of my faves to write and David has slowly made his way up that list.

Dudez, like seriously. Him and Roy are just *kisses fingers* mhwaa beautiful to write.

So, who do you think is the parent in the Hamada triad?

I know that one's kinda a freebie, but it tickles me.

Like so fucking much.

But for real though, this was some wholesome shit right here.

Gotta love it… Right?

I mean any complaints?

Fave Quote:

"Between you and me," He offers him a smile, "I think he could use the break, he's a little cra-"

He closes his eyes.

"-zy right now."

-David

What was yours?

Much love and appreciation
