Lark woke up panting and breathing heavily. She looked to her side and saw Lloyd still sleeping. It's been about four months since the arrangements were made and Lark's been feeling weaker and weaker each day. Lark and Lloyd weree both still struggling to get used to sharing a bed, but both were too stubborn to stooe now. Lloyd has basically took over her shop while she worked on commission based works, those being drawing pieces and baked good, though she was thinking of dropping the art and start doing only baking instead. Lark frowned slightly and pushed the covers off of her. She looked over to Lloyd and watched him shift a bit.

She sighed softly and left the room, closing the door as quietly as possible as she walked through the empty hallways. She walked over to where she put her laptop and opened it up. Time to check her emails. she went through them with little care in her mind and simply skimmed through them. After checking them she opened up her oldest commission and went to work drawing. She just had to work hard and everything will be okay.

After a few hours of working on the drawing she jumped and almost screamed when she felt a pair of arms wrap around her, but before she could one hand moved up to cover her mouth.

Lark was frozen in terror and she heard a soft. "You should go back to sleep." It was Lloyd. Of course it was.

"I... need to work." Lark mumbled from behind his hand. After a few moment he dropped his hand and had it wrapped around her.

Lloyd didn't look at her, simply stared ahead, and said. "You need to sleep. Stop overthinking it." He spun around her chair and pulled her out of the chair. Lark collided with his bare chest and pressed her head against it.

Lloyd gently kisses the top of her head, which took her by surprised. "Please come to sleep. Dont worry so much. You need to take care of yourself." He suggested quietly.

Lark gave in, and soon she was taken back to the bed where she almost immediately fell back into a slumber. Just hearing Lloyd's voice comforted her.

When Lark awoke the next day, there was no Lloyd. Just a cold spot where he was. Lark sighed and looked at the clock. Three fourty-one PM.

She groaned and got out of bed quickly, walking over to the dresser and opening it to pull out her clothing to get changed.

--

"Oh hey, you're awake." Lark dropped what she was holding and spun around to look at Lloyd with widen eyes. Like she was caught doing something bad. He was holding a small bag and he walked over to the nightstand before putting the bag on it. "How was your sleep?" He asked.

"It was okay, could of been better." Lark admitted. Her dream was of nothing but her standing in the freezing cold, it sent shivers down her spine. She looked to Lloyd and then the bag. "Where were you?" She asked him.

"Working." He said. "And then I went to the shops to pick to sonething." He explained. "I was also going to see if Pixal or Zane wanted to come but I couldnt mind them. Misty said that they went for a walk."

Lark tilted her head and asked. "How are Misty and Stone holding up? We.. havent talked much lately." She admitted, hanging her head. She was an awful friend.

"They're doing good... Stone's struggling a bit. I'm sure they'll be happy to talk to you, oh! And someone applied to work at the shop. I brought home their resume for you to look over." Lloyd filled her in.

Lark nodded absentmindedly. "Okay. I'll do that." She looked away before leaning down to pick up the clothes she dropped. "I actually wanted to ask you a question." Lark said, staring down at her clothes.

"What would that be?" Lloyd hummed absentmindedly, she could hear him put things away, though she still rather not look at him.

"Last night." Lark sighed. Looking out the window that was in Lloyd's room. The green curtains were covering the window.

Lloyd froze and dropped whatever he was holding. "I figured that was going to be brought up." He admitted quietly. Lark shot her head up in worry when she heard a thud but it seemed that whatever he ess holding wasn't breakable.

Lark sighed and looked away. "Why?" She asked. "Why'd you kiss my forehead?"

Lloyd sighed and looked up to the ceiling before bending down and picking up what he dropped. "Lark... I've been trying to ignore my feelings. I didnt want another repeat of Harumi, and I was so afraid. Last night... I finally realized... my fear finally subsided and I felt like I could start to express myself more, and that included expressing my feelings for you in particular." Lloyd explained. "I cant deny it anymore. Lark, I really like you. I'm even willing to say I love you. You're so compassionate and strong. Willing to do whatever you must to make things work but are also not afraid to do what is needed and you're so beautiful inside and out and I cant stop myself. I couldn't stop myself from falling in love and I can not stop from loving you now." Lloyd stared at the ground.

For a minute you could hear a pin drop and Lloyd bit his bottom lip. He should of just shut up and not said anything... worry set in quickly as the panic grew worst. What if he just lost his friend?

He didnt expect Lark to pin him against the bed and stare at him. "Y-you... mean it?" She stammered out, gazing deep into his eyes. Lloyd nodded slowly.

"These months of knowing you have been the best in my life." He admitted. "And I do mean every word I said. Even if you dont return my feelings I will stand by them." He breathed out, gazing up at Lark who held his shoulders in place as he had his back against the bed.

Lark blinked slowly before releasing his shoulders. She scanned him up and down before slowly putting her hands on the side of his head and gently pressing their lips together.

Lloyd let out a squeak in surprised, but didnt complain. Instead he gripped her back, one hand on her waist, and the other on the back of her head as he slowly rolled them over so he was on top.

The two seperated and he panted as he gazed at her and said. "So... does that mean?" He didnt know how to phrase it.

Lark looked at at Lloyd and nodded. "Yes, Lloyd... I've been trying to deny my own feelings because of Ron. I've been having the same struggles... but we both can finally see that we're not who we're afraid of."

Lloyd smiled and leaned down, his lips barely above hers. "I'll make sure you never feel the way he made you feel." Before Lark could respond they were kissing again.
