"You must be Misako. Wu told us you were coming tonight." Stone greeted kindly from the kitchen.
Lloyd growled lowly and tossed his head, Lark exchanging a glance with Misty. "Remember, Lloyd. Be nice." Cole gently reminded him. "We sent need an argument with all the good news lately."
Lloyd huffed but nodded reluctantly. "Okay." He sighed.
"Guys! Dinner is ready!" Nya shouted. "Come and get it!"
The team quickly put away their game and stood up, Lark gazed down at her hands hesitantly before turning towards the kitchen, watching Misty and Cole leave the room, much like Stone did a bit ago. Before Lark could follow them Lloyd grabbed her and pulled her into a hug.
Lark closed her eyes and returned his embrace before he turned away and led her to the kitchen. It was quite busy with everyone getting their meals before going to sit at the table.
Kai, Skylor, Jay, and Nya were te first ones to get what they wanted, next on the list being Zane who just quickly grabbed something then left, making Lark extremely confused. He was a robot? Though she didn't question it. Soon Lark got her meal and Lloyd followed shortly after. The two sitting next to each other and Lark doing he best to just act like a friend around Lloyd, though eventually Lloyd was the one who caved.
"Screw it. My Mom can complain all she wants. You're mine." Lloyd leaned down and kissed Lark and kissed him back and once they separated a huge smile was on both their faces. The two quietly waited until everyone was at the dinner table before everyone began to eat.
Lark refused to look up and Lloyd was avoiding Misako and Wu's gaze. The silence was thick before Cole spoke out. "So... how is everyone?"
"I'm doing good." Nya smiled as she answered. "I mean sure this absolutely sucks but I'm really excited."
"You and Jay will be wonderful parents." Misako smiled. "I too am doing okay, I just wanted to ask though, who are all these new faces?"
Lloyd stiffened up next to Lark, and Lark frowned at him before he rolled his shoulders and settled down.
"I'm Misty." Misty awkwardly smiled. "I'm one of Wu's new students."
"You've already met me." Stone laughed awkwardly. "But I'm Stone, another one of Wu's new students."
Misako looked expectantly at Lark who fiddled with her thumbs and said
"I'm Lark, I'm best friends with Stone and Misty."
Misako smiled slightly faded. "You're not a student?"
"No... not at all." Lark shook her head.
"Lark and Lloyd have both been working together to keep her business going while Misty and Stone been training." Wu interrupted. "Lark's a very hardworking girl."
"Well, it's a pleasure to meet you all." Misako smile returned to her features at Wu's words, but it left Lark feeling uneasy. "It's been quite a while since I've seen you all and you're all are just glowing. Everyone is so happy, once I find Pixal or Zane I'll have to congratulate them."
The table fell into silence again before Kai spoke up. "Me and Skylor are thinking about moving out."
"Really?" Lloyd responded.
"Yeah, as you know that Jay and Nya live in a cul-de-sac, another house in that same one went up for sale." Kai smiled. "Me and Skylor thought it'd be a good idea for us to all still live relatively close together."
"That's an amazing idea!" Lloyd smiled. "I personally think I'd be down for that."
Misako bit her bottom lip but said nothing, Lloyd was thinking of moving too? Her eyes avoiding everyone else's as she gazed down at her plate.
"I would too!" Lark smiled warmly. "You're all such amazing friends and I would love nothing more than to live in the same area as you all."
Misty and Stone nodded their heads in agreement. "We've been learning so much." Misty smiled.
"And most importantly we've been really seeing how close we're all becoming." Stone added. "We're all forming such amazing bonds with one another."
"Yeah! Thanks for letting us into your family." Lark smiled warmly.
Lloyd wrapped an arm around her waist. "Of course! We're all lucky you guys wanted to join our family."
Lark placed a hand on Lloyd's hand and said. "We're lucky you guys wanted us."
Stone rolled his eyes and teasingly said. "Ladies, ladies, stop the flirting. There are kids here."
"Arent you the youngest aside from Lloyd?" Misty asked with a laugh.
"Shush! No one needs to know that." Stone responded with a toothy grin.
Misako didn't like this too much. These three are basically strangers and they get a saying in this?
