When Lark went back downstairs she didnt expect to hear shouting. If anything it just made her sick to her stomach. She almost didnt want to come down, but she really needed to raid her purse for medication.
She held onto her stomach slightly and she quietly made her way down the stairs, the arguing getting louder and louder.
"Maybe if you were always trying to get in Wu's pants you would of noticed!" Lark recognized Lloyd's voice, the bitterness in it made her flinch.
Lark gulped and took a step back. Maybe her cramps could wait. Though with the sudden shot of pain slicing through her, she decided they couldn't. Before Misako could snap a response back, Lark entered the room.
They both immediately swung their heads to glare at her, but Lloyd's gaze softened immediately. "Hey, Lark, shouldnt you be sleeping?"
Lark nodded numbly and said. "Uh, yeah. I just needed to get my bag so I could get some medication." She sheepishly answer, cowering under Misako's cold glare.
"I'll be up with your bag in a minute." Lloyd told her. "Do you mind leaving, me and Misako have something to finish discussing."
He called her by her first name. Lloyd did tell her they were arguing but she didnt think it was this bad. "Of course, but, uh. I can just take it now. I really need those pain meds." She admitted shyly to him.
"Pain meds? You're hurting?" He asked, his tone filled with some worried.
"It's not anything to worry about, just... I'll grab my bag and leave you two alone." With that Lark quickly scuffles by and found her bag right next to couch, where she forgot it. She picked it up quickly but before she scurry pass Lloyd again, she felt an arm hit her across her chest.
Lark took a couple steps back and then slightly moved towards Lloyd. Misako had stopped her from leaving.
"I dont get why she should leave." Misako scoffed. "Afterall, doesnt she have a right to know about the family?"
Lloyd growled lowly, it wasnt anything like Stone's growls, this was the growl of an Oni. "She does." He admitted coldly. "But she needs to take her medication and doesnt need to hear your bullshit excuses."
Lark frowned and hid behind Lloyd, grabbing his arm and holding it close to her. "I don't need to stay." She quickly squeaked out. "This is sounding really personal. I rather not get involved."
Before Lloyd could say anything Misako scoffed. "This is all your fault afterall, so you are already involved."
Lark gulped and tears pricked at her eyes. "W-what?" She stammered out.
"No." Lloyd snapped rather forcefully. "She's upset that I'm not taking her side and that I'm not referring to her as my parent anymore, and since it started after I began seeing you, she's blaming you. Ignore her."
Lark still couldnt help the tears. Why'd she have to be so over emotional? Lloyd deserved better than Lark...
Before either of them could snap anything out, Lark grabbed her purse and ran out of the room and up the stairs quickly, sobbing. She slammed the room door shut and collapsed on the bed, crying still.
She trusted Lloyd's word over his Mom's, but it still hurt. She didnt really seem to like her at all. Why did some stranger's words cut her so badly? Was it because it was her time? Was it because it was her boyfriend's mom? Was it... was it because she believed the words?
She could hear murmuring outside the door and she sniffled and wiped away her tears, though it didnt make her look any better.
Slowly the door creaked open and Lloyd slipped into the room.
"Is it really my fault?" Was the first thing Lark asked. She stared down on the bed, the blanket wet from where she was crying.
"Not at all." Lloyd said, his voice barely above a whisper. "Misako is just mad at everything. Ever since Dad's been back she's been getting more and more on edge. You think we'd be getting closer over this, but it's forming a wedge into our relationship."
Lark felt a large body pressing against her body and she sniffled and hiccupped slightly. "Gosh, I love you so much." Lloyd mumbled, moreso to himself it seemed, but it did bring a smile to her features.
"Misako is mostly upset that I haven't let go of the whole abandoning me situation." Lloyd continued, beginning to press kisses on the back of Lark's neck.
"You shouldnt forgive her for that. No matter what the reason was. You could of died." Lark choked out. The idea of loosing Lloyd cut her and she hissed out in pain as a cramp hit her badly. "Please... meds..." She begged.
After shuffling around in the purse for a bit he pulled out a small bottle that she took immediately and opened the top. As she was getting her dosage, Lloyd got up and grabbed his water bottle, handing it to her which she happily drank from.
"Go lie in bed. I'll put in a movie and we can cuddle." Lloyd told Lark, kissing the top of her head gently before going over to the movie shelf.
Lark obliged and as she watched Lloyd go through movies the idea of not being with Lloyd struck her again. Would it fix thing between him and his mom? It wasnt something she was willing to risk. She loved Lloyd, she just didnt know if he loved her enough to make that kind of sacrifice.
