Hey Descendants!
I forgot we got to post today, so Happy Halloween! For real this time.
Also...
Trick or Treat...
Just keep that in mind.
Lots of Love-
-Dark-
It was done.
Finally!
He'd finally gotten the damned part.
The one thing stopping them from rescuing the fucking kids.
He grins, as he jumps back on the ship, "Scary Girl, Chibi-Chan!" He hollars gleefully, "I got it."
…
…
…
…
…
…
...
She begged.
Begged and pleaded.
But it was her birthday, and she couldn't bring herself to say no...
Were they going to lose people because of this prank?
She wasn't sure.
There was no way to know.
"You know you're a monster, right?" She sighs.
Why? Why was She like this?
Why was this who she'd chosen to be her best friend?
She rubs her temples as she analyzes and questions all her life choices.
"Oh, I am." The other girl nods, "but I can't help myself, it just comes so naturally."
She grumbles, though she couldn't help her smile at the thought of understanding what it meant to have a T induced headache.
It fit so well. And was still a T induced pain...
"But why though?"
"Fuck if I know. It just, I dunno, brings me glee." Her eyes sparkle with unashamed mirth.
"But it's so cruel-"
"Oh, for sure!" She interrupts, nodding unrepentantly, "But like, have we met?" Her lips quirk into a smirk, "c'mon, wicked remember?"
"With that face," She rolls her eyes, "how could I forget?"
"Then why are you-"
"They might kill us… Plane, train, boat, bus, car, bike… whatever. Find us and kill us."
"Eh, at least we get to meet some of them first."
She blinks, unable to do more than stare at her in disbelief before she finally finds her voice again, "but, dead."
"Oh, I know. But, totes worth it."
"But is it though?" She clicks her tongue, "is it, really?"
"Well…" she purses her lips, her eyes bright with glee, "it's my birthday, and I love me, and everything I am, and, So. Do. Yooooou." She sing songs with delight.
"Who hurt you?"
"Who knows!" She grins, her smile wicked now that she could sense her friend warming up to the idea.
Or at least caving to it, "I think I was just, I dunno, born this way?"
"Seriously though, it's mean. And like unnecessary-"
The front door opens and she turns to find her husband standing at the door, his face scrunched in concern and clearly baffled by the jubilant-
Cackles?
Her eyes widen as her husband's mouth opens and she quickly tries to gester for his silence, "Please don't-"
Oh, yes, those were definitely cackles.
Her friend was clearly no longer in the realm of reason.
"What's goi-"
She takes a deep breath before letting out a heavy sigh.
"Think about it," She rolls her eyes, "What day is it?"
"Um," He blinks as he looks around the room cautiously, "her birthday?"
"And what do you think we just did?"
"Oh! Did you guys finally-" He looks at the wickedly giddy girl who was bent over her diabolical project, laughing her ass off as she continued to type away.
"Yeah, we did." She sighs again, "and what do you think she's doing?" Her straight-up glare of disapproval is lost as her friend continues her gleeful snickering.
"... Uh, being a… Monster?" He questions with surprising accuracy.
"He gets me!" She points behind herself blindly before she claps her hands in merriment.
"Go on then, tell him."
Might as well roll with it. It's not like she could say no.
Not after the day they'd had.
What she'd forced her friend to endure.
Had editing really boiled her brain?
"Tell him what you're doing,"
"I mean, he guessed it?" She snickers as she tilts her head to the side.
"No-No! Explain what're you doing to make you a monster!"
"Oh!" She smiles cheerfully as she turns in her seat, "Trolling."
A sigh of exasperation drags from what feels like her very soul, "I hate you."
She could.
Maybe...
Probably not.
Though it didn't stop her from trying.
Dark closes her eyes in resignation as she turns to the camera. "Sorry Reader..."
"Not!" Twisted cackles once more in euphoria. "But seriously, much love and appreciation for everything you are, and everything you do for us… I just- It was my birthday. And we finished writing this book right before it became my birthday. Seriously, like 11:51. So we've been editing all day, and well, this brings me nothing short of joy."
Twisted is a monster, but it was her birthday so I let her get away with it...
Yeah, I know.
Happy Halloween?
-Dark-

Back on the Isle so you guys can finally find out what's going on with the forgotten.
Hope you like waiting bitcheeeeesssss!
Seriously though, it gives you guys plenty of time to reread three if you need to.
And if it helps, we also have to do an entire rewrite of book five- Feel free to blame me for that one too.
S'why ya'll only got one chap a week for the first half (maybe) of this book.
But for cereal,
Hope you guys enjoyed this installment.
It was a serious struggle for us the first, ugh, 3/4s of this book, so yeah, we trudged til the very end.
Cause just like I roll in your disbelief and ire, the writing gods hate us.
That being said,
Much love, appreciation, and glee
-Twisted
P.S.
Remember. It was my Birthday when we finished this, so ya know… Make my wish come true with all the reviews, rageful or otherwise.
