Winston: About four. It was a blast. April got to help out with the traps.

Janine: That makes her about as useful, as Slimer.

Janine walks away before anyone could respond to Janine's insult toward April.

Ray: Well, that was uncalled for.

April: I don't know about you, Ray, but I'm not gonna let her get to me.

Winston: Good for you, April. You're so much better, than that.

Later that day, Egon finally finds April alone in the kitchen. She has climbed onto the counter to reach the cabinets. He looks impressed.

Egon: Can I help you find something?

April: I couldn't reach the soup for dinner.

When she grabbed a can of tomato soup, she slips and Egon reacts quickly. He catches her in his arms and she gets the chance to look up into his eyes and resists the urge to caress his face.

April: Thank you, Egon.

Egon lets her down and realizes that she forgot something.

April: Egon, you wouldn't mind getting a bowl. I slipped before I could get one.

Egon: Not a problem.

She watches as Egon reaches up into the cabinets to get April a bowl. This time, she resists the urge to caress his gut from the untucked part of his buttoned shirt. She even has an opportunity to check him out. Then he gives her the bowl.

Egon: Here you go.

April: Thank you.

Egon just stands there, checking her out, as she opens the can of soup, pour it into a bowl and stick it in the microwave. She turns around and notices him staring at her.

April: Why you keep staring at me?

Egon: You fascinate me.

April: What's fascinating about me?

Egon: Your height. Your positive outlook and attitude about life. When I look at you, it's like a feeling I can't describe, cause I never felt it before.

April: Oh wow. If you like me, then why did you blush when you had that accident a few days ago?

Egon steps closer to April, then leaning down to whisper in her ear.

Egon: I have a fetish and no one knows about it.

Then he resumes his posture.

April: You know, it doesn't bother me. I was honestly turned on when I was watching you.

Egon feels a bit of relief.

Egon: Now that you know, it will be a thing every five days.

April: So, the next time will be…

April counts on with her fingers.

April: In three days. Can I watch?

This is when Janine stands by the door and eavesdrops.

Egon: First, I think we should go on a date. Would you like to go out with me?

April: Heck yes, you sexy man.

Janine gets mad and walks away. She's mad, cause she could never get Egon to like her like that and out of nowhere, this little girl comes in and gets his full attention.

The next day, in the lab, Ray approaches Egon while working on a project.

Ray: Egon, can I ask you something?

Egon: Yeah, sure.

Ray: Is there anything going on between you and April?

Egon: What do you mean?

Ray: Are you two romantically involved? Cause I noticed the way you keep looking at her, so I just had to ask.

Egon: Ray, to be completely honest with you, I like her in a way I never felt with any woman that ever came on to me. For some reason, she ignites something in me and yesterday, I decided to act on those feelings.

Ray: Egon, what did you do?

Egon: I asked her on a date and she said "yes".

Ray: That's it? Nothing else happened?

Egon: Ray, I understand your concern, but seventeen is consent in some places. But if it bothers you…

Ray: No, Egon, I trust you. I trust you won't take advantage of her and please take things slow. Also, Carl he's a Lieutenant in the military and is trusting me to look after her. If something happened to her, he'll never trust me again and he'll kick my ass.

Egon: Don't worry, Ray. I was brought up to be a gentleman.

That night, Egon takes April on a date to an Italian Bistro called Lagonia's. The end up sharing a medium pepperoni pizza and a tossed salad.

April: I'm glad you took me here, Egon. Ray sometimes takes me here and I would order the garlic knots. That or we share a pizza.

Egon: I also like pizza, especially with extra sauce.

April: So, what have you heard about me?

Egon: Not much, other than you come from a military family and that Ray is your uncle.

April: My dad is very strict and treats my older brothers better, than me. That doesn't mean he doesn't care about me. If he saw me on a date with an older man, he'd flip his lid.

Egon: I know what it's like to grow up in a strict household. My parents were always strict on my upbringing and education.

April: You don't resent them for it?

Egon: Not really. I love both my parents.

April: That's good. I love my parents too.

And they both continued eating. That same night, Egon, and April return to the firehouse. Before entering, Egon leans forward and gives April a kiss on the lips. A first kiss for her and they both felt a sudden and intense rush of excitement. Something that Egon has never felt when Janine kissed him years ago. But what they don't know is that sitting in a pink car across the street is a very jealous Janine with her camera.

Two weeks later and while the Ghostbusters are out on a job, Egon's mom stops by with Tova, Egon's 22 year old sister. Mrs Spengler and Tova approach Janine at her desk.

Janine: Nice to see you, Mrs Spengler. Egon should be back any time, now.

Kathy: Tova, can you give me and Ms Melnitz a moment alone?

Tova: Yes, mom.

Tova leaves and goes upstairs. Kathy looks down at Janine's left hand is disappointed to not see an engagement ring.

Janine: What's wrong, Mrs Spengler?

Kathy: My son hasn't proposed to you yet?

This gives Janine a devious idea.

Janine: You know, Egon and I wanted to surprise you, but since you asked…

Janine reaches in a drawer and pulls out a ring that she bought herself recently at Walmart and puts it on her ring finger.

Janine: He proposed a week ago, but the ring was too big and I had to get it resized.

Katherine walks around the desk and excitedly gives Janine a hug.

Janine: I think we should celebrate this.

Kathy: Oh yes. Me, you, and Egon should have dinner while I'm in town this week.

Janine: Oh definitely.

Tova had just overheard, from the top of the stairs and is startled when greeted by April. Tova is like a mini Egon, but stands at 4'11".

Tova: Hello, I'm Tova. Egon's sister.

April: I'm April. Ray Stantz's niece. It's nice to meet you.

Tova: Likewise. I just overheard some exciting news.

April: What exciting news?

Tova: Janine and Egon. Apparently, they just got engaged like a week ago.

April: Oh, really? That's hard to believe since Egon's been my boyfriend for the last two weeks.

Tova: How old are you? Cause you look too young to be Egon's girlfriend.

April: I'm seventeen. It's my dwarfism that makes me look like a 5th grader. Also, Janine hates me, so it wouldn't surprise me that she'd pull something like this.

Tova: But I don't understand. My mom practically set up Janine and Egon. I mean, she's been looking forward to seeing Janine and Egon get married and have smart grandchildren.

April: I hate to break it to you, but Janine thinks he's so fat, he plays pool with the planets. As for me, it's not about looks and intelligence. It's about personality and chemistry. Well, maybe some intelligence. At least some common sense.

April rambles on.

Tova: Look, I like to believe you. But I should confirm your relationship with my brother by asking him. Understand?

April: I understand. You don't even know me.

An hour later, the Ghostbusters come back and go upstairs to see April, Egon's mom and Tova in the TV room watching TV. Egon is surprised to see his mom and his sister.

Egon: Mom, when did you get here?

Kathy: An hour ago. Janine just told me some exciting news.

Egon: What exciting news?

In the back, Peter is checking out Tova, who is eighteen and just finished high school. That figure in those tight blue jeans, dark blue blouse, and cowgirl boots. Tova does look over and catches Peter staring at her and pretends not to notice.
