Chapter 2: Kidnapping

Quinn and Noah visited Burt Hummel a week later. Following news that Liza Marie had been kidnapped. Burt watched Noah's face as the FBI agents spoke with the kidnappers. Then Burt followed him to his truck, which he insisted Quinn drive because he was blind, and Noah was found loading his rifle as Burt walked to Noah's truck.

Then he asks, "Mr. H, do you remember where your buddy Commander Jake Talbot lives?" As he continued to load his rifle.

Burt clears his throat and says, "He was killed last year, around the time you became blind, Puck. It can't be him."

As Noah continues to load his rifle, he says, "I know, but his son Rick lives there now and Kurt told me about him harassing them. He threatened Liza Marie's life last month, and I'm pretty sure he took Liza Marie."

Burt asks, "You heard something, didn't you?" Noah handed him his truck keys, saying, "I heard Sergeant Reynolds yelling, move your asses!"

Then they heard Blaine reply, "I don't want to lose my daughter!"

Burt puts his hands on Blaine's shoulders and says, "I doubt Puck would be wrong about this, Blaine. Now, go back inside. I'll deal with Carole and Kurt when we get home." Then he looks at Noah as he says, "Liza Marie might be your daughter, but we both know she loves Puck more than everybody else. Now, go back inside, and we'll be back soon with Liza Marie."

After Blaine goes inside, Quinn texts Burt saying, "Puck's unit is still there, Sergeant Reynolds saw Liza Marie looking out a window. I told him about the kidnapping during the ransom call. After I heard him yelling in the background. Puck has one hour, and then I'm telling the FBI. I'm not losing Puck today too, Mr. H!"

Burt replies, saying, "You know Puck better than I do, Quinn. Do you really think he is going to stay out of danger? My only concern right now is Liza Marie." He doesn't wait for a reply and heads to Commander Talbot's house.

When he gets there, he sees the lights are out. Before he is stopped by Sergeant Reynolds. As soon as Sergeant Reynolds sees Noah, he says, "I cut the power just before you pulled up, Puckerman." Then he hands Noah a duffle bag and says, "Your gear is in here, and I had an infrared camera put on your helmet. I know you have been in that house a lot, but I'm not taking any chances."

After Noah gets all geared up, he marches up to the house and kicks in the door. The others didn't even have time to react before Noah was coming back out with Liza Marie in his arms and dragged Rick behind him with a rope tied around his neck. Rick was shot in three places and blood was coming out of his mouth.

The moment Noah took off his helmet and Rick saw he was the one that saved Liza Marie. He started shouting, "No way, no way, man! A blind man? I was taken down by a blind man!"

Then Liza Marie sticks out her tongue and says, "Not just any blind man, you meanie! This is my Uncle Noah Puckerman! The same man you were reading about in that newspaper!" Before she starts to giggle and say, "Looks like someone peed their pants again!" Then she looked at the others and says, "He peed himself when he saw Nono in the newspaper."

After this, they went back to Burt's house, and the Lead Investigator Travis Hanson, says to Noah, "Ha, I don't know why Mr. Anderson even called us. I knew you would go get Liza Marie as soon as I saw Congressman Hummel watching your reaction to the ransom call. Sergeant Reynolds called your wife as soon as you got there. General Smith and I are old friends. I'll let the press know you were working with us and by the way my boyfriend James's mother is the lady you met last week."

Noah chuckles and says, "Frida is a feisty old brod. Tell James that I think his mama is pretty cool." Then they hear Blaine scream, "Oh, God, Kurt!" And see Kurt on the floor holding his chest as he is on the floor.

When Kurt wakes up in the I.C.U., he sees Noah and Blaine by his bedside. Then Kurt says to Noah, "Thank you for saving Liza Marie and if Blaine hasn't told you already. I made you and Quinn Liza Marie's godparents. It was Rachel and Beth's idea really. Anyway, I saw the look on your face when you walked in holding Liza Marie. It was the same look you had when you were around Beth according to Shelby. Look, Puck, I know, she can't replace Beth, but you're the only friend that reminds me of my dad, and no I was never into you! So, get that look off your face!"

Noah just says to Blaine, "Told you he would deny it, and you owe me thirty bucks, man." Then Kurt glares at Blaine as he hands Noah the money before they hear Liza Marie say, "Dada, chill. I found the pictures of Nono you have hid under my bed! You look at them every time you have a fight with Papa. By the way, Nono they were pictures Auntie Tana took, and only one showed something I'm not supposed to see."

Blaine looks at Kurt as he asks, "Front or back view?" Liza Marie giggles and says, "Front. I gave it back to Auntie Tana today along with the others. By the way, Queenie knows about the pictures too and had to pay G' Pa Burt three hundred dollars."

Then Quinn yelled, "I was pregnant with Beth at the time, and it was before everybody found out Puck was her dad! I bet Mr. H three hundred dollars that Kurt had a crush on my boyfriend! I didn't name Finn or Puck!"

After this, Noah leans down and whispers in Kurt's ear, "She is pregnant again and because of her age is taking hormone injections. By the way, I already told Blaine this before you woke up, but I was gay raped after I was blinded. I still don't swing that way, but I wasn't about to hide that from you. That's the reason Quinn was out of town last week."

Then Noah raises up and says, "The night those punks came to my house. I hadn't slept in three days and thought I was going crazy. I had watched the movie Don't Breathe with Quinn like a week before that and thought I was dreaming at first. Until I heard that first guy scream, and tonight I thought for sure I would be stopped by your dad."

This makes Kurt chuckle and he asks, "You don't remember how he was when you were still bullying me?"

Noah just chuckles and says to Blaine, "I'm glad he's your man. Ha, God, I hope this baby is a girl too."

Then they hear Burt saying, "Ow, Quinn! Come on! You really think Puck will be worse than I was?" Before Carole and Quinn say in unison, "Yes!"
