A heavy inheritance

"What is it, love ?" asked Hermione. "Are these bad news from Harry ? What happened ?"

"To Harry himself, nothing, fortunately. But I had asked him, as the head of the Auror department, to investigate a few things for me, and the results, unfortunetely, happen to be exactly what I feared."

"Investigate what? Why didn't you tell me about it ?"

Sirius sighed. "I hoped that my suspicions were groundless, and I didn't want to cast a shadow on our honeymoon for nothing. And maybe… maybe I was not keen on remembering you what kind of family you married in."

"I didn't marry your family, I married you. Besides, said family disowned you, remember ? What have you left in common with the Most ancient house of Black?"

"Sadly, more than I 'd like to. Did you ever heard of the TP Mining corporation ?"

"Well, economy was never one of my primary focus, but I remember reading that name from time to time in the Daily Prophet. It's one of the largest mining company of the wizarding world, isn't it ?"

"It is. But what is it less well known is that its founder and major shareholder is the Black family. TP is for 'Toujours Purs', the family motto. There are other shareholders, all from pure-blood supremacist now that I've back among the livings and reinstated as the heir of the Black family, I receive dividends from the company. I would even be supposed to run it. Only I'm sure now that many of its activity are far from legal. Which won't surprise you if I tell you that one of its last CEO was no other than Lucius Malefoy."
