Author's note: Sorry for the very long delay; with everything that's currently happening in the world, I wasn't feeling the best mentally so writing became harder and I was thrown off a lot. I hope you all enjoy it.

Mygeeto

As Luke slowly regained consciousness, he found himself being dragged through a corridor by two Imperial riot troopers who were holding him by the wrists. As he regained vision, he looked around at his surroundings and saw two more riot troopers beside them who were dragging Ahsoka along with them.

"Ahsoka…" breathed Luke. Ahsoka looked over towards him drearily.

"Finally came to?" said Ahsoka quietly.

"Do you know what's happening?" asked Luke quietly.

"I only woke up a few minutes ago, but I think we're still on Mygeeto" replied Ahsoka quietly "Wherever they're taking us, they need us alive"

"I figured that" said Luke quietly. Suddenly, one of the two riot troopers carrying him punched him in the head.

"Shut it!" said the riot trooper "Save your breath for the general"

"The general, huh?" said Luke "So that's where you're taking us"

"Finally figured that out?" said a voice. Luke lifted his head up to see that the stormtrooper captain was walking in front of them and leading them down the hallway. "The general will be very interested in seeing this" Luke gasped as he noticed that the stormtrooper captain was holding his lightsaber. "We heard word that the Great Jedi Purge didn't kill you all, but the thought was dubious at best. Surely real Jedi wouldn't go down that easy" They reached a door at the end of the corridor. "We're here" He walked over to a panel next to the door and typed into it, opening the door. They then walked through it and entered the Imperial strategy room, where their entrance caught the attention of General Veers.

"I trust you've made sure that any other intruders have been dealt with, captain?" said Veers as he walked over to them.

"My men and the other troops are currently patrolling the storage and supply room" replied the stormtrooper captain "If they find anyone else, they'll report back and take them in alive"

"Good work, captain" said Veers "You have a bright future in the Empire"

"Thank you, sir" said the stormtrooper captain "Also, the Human one was carrying this" He handed Luke's lightsaber over to Veers, who examined it thoughtfully. "He proved troublesome, but we took him down with our numbers" Veers turned towards Luke with a triumphant smile across his face.

"Now it all makes sense" said Veers "Now I understand why Vader was so interested in that pod. You, boy; you are a survivor of the Great Jedi Purge, aren't you?" Ahsoka subtly rolled her eyes at that. "With the pod's stasis technology, you no doubt have remained the same since you entered and escaped capture by the Empire" He then turned towards Ahsoka. "And you must be the intruder who released him. No doubt you're a rebel operative who was sent to infiltrate our base; whether releasing the Jedi was your intention or not, we will find out soon"

"General, protocol dictates that any Jedi found must be eliminated" said the stormtrooper captain.

"I am well aware of that" said Veers "However; Vader wanted that pod for good reason, so killing him would be going against that order. He lives, for now"

"General, the rebels have received reinforcements" said a stormtrooper out of the holotable's comlink "They caught our latest wave by surprise and have driven us away from their platform. They've also captured the commander and are currently holding him hostage" Luke found himself smirking at the sound of that. "What are your orders?"

"Remain on standby until further notice and stay alert, trooper" said Veers into the holotable's comlink "We're not defeated yet, we merely need the time to re-evaluate our strategy and to make short work of these rebels"

"But what about the commander?" asked the stormtrooper.

"If he was foolish or weak enough to be captured so easily, he is not worthy of the rank of commander nor is he worthy of rescue" replied Veers "Do not let this setback hinder our attack or our defence. I will assign a new and expectantly better commander to fill his place when I get the time, hold out until then. General Veers out" He then turned towards Luke and Ahsoka again. "I wouldn't look so triumphant if I were you, your reinforcements will not save you. You rebels may be persistent; but the more you hold out, the more your strength will wither over time. Eventually, you won't be able to stand any longer; and when that happens, all we need to do is strike a critical blow and finish you off afterwards" At that moment, something small, furry, and coloured black and white leapt down from the ceiling and landed on top of Veers.

"Get it off!" yelled Veers "Get it off!" It was hard to make out what had landed on top of him; but from the colours alone, Luke knew what it was and smiled at it. The stormtroopers who were on guard in the strategy room turned their blasters towards the white and black fluffball that pestered Veers.

"Don't shoot!" exclaimed an Imperial officer "You'll hit the general!" After much tormenting, the fluffball pulled Luke's lightsaber out of Veers's hand before throwing a smoke grenade onto the ground in front of them and filling the centre of the strategy room with smoke.

"Get the prisoners into cells immediately!" ordered Veers "Stun them the moment you exit the room!" In compliance, the riot troopers turned back towards the door and dragged Luke and Ahsoka along with them. "Blasters ready, men; whatever attacked me took the Jedi's lightsaber. Keep it away from the Jedi and prevent it from escaping, shoot it on sight; but make sure the Jedi is unharmed" In what seemed like an instant, Luke felt something leap onto his back and placed his lightsaber back into his hand.

"Go straight for the general, he's the one that matters" whispered a voice into Luke's ear. With that, Luke smirked and ignited his lightsaber.

"The Jedi has his lightsaber back!" exclaimed one of the riot troopers who was restraining Luke.

"Quick, stun him now!" said the other riot trooper. Luke slashed the arm off of the riot trooper on his right and pulled himself free of the grip of the other riot trooper. Using the confusion to her advantage, Ahsoka kicked the leg of the riot trooper on her left and used the Force to inch his electrostaff over to her hand. She then ignited it and used the shock and surprise of the situation to free herself from their grip and move back over to Luke.

"The Jedi is free!" exclaimed a stormtrooper. Hearing this, Veers looked over at a blaster he kept on the holotable, grabbed it, and set it to stun.

"Stun them!" shouted Veers. The stormtroopers began shooting stun blasts at them that Luke and Ahsoka deflected with their weapons.

"Think you can help keep these Imperials off my back while I take the general?" asked Luke.

"Sure thing" said Ahsoka. The two of them rushed through the dissipating smoke and past the barrage of stun blasts until they found Veers at the outskirts of the strategy room. As the Imperial general backed away carefully but sternly, he began firing stun blasts at them at an alarming rate. Eventually however, he reached the very edge of the room and found he had nowhere else to turn as Luke and Ahsoka cornered him with their weapons drawn towards him.

"Looks like we've got you now" said Luke.

"I take it this was somehow your doing" said Veers.

"Not quite, I had a little help that I wasn't expecting" said Luke. Vari climbed up onto Luke's shoulder and waved (almost mockingly) at Veers.

"A native!" said Veers "Allying yourself with primitive lifeforms, I'd expect no less from the Alliance" To Luke and Ahsoka's surprise, a smile befell on his face. "But I'm afraid your luck has now run out!" The smoke had now cleared up and the stormtroopers had their blasters poised at Luke and Ahsoka, ready to shoot. "No matter how good you are at blocking attacks, it only takes one stun to take you out" Luke looked over towards a nearby balcony. "And don't even think about escaping through that balcony. Nothing can survive a fall from this height, not even a Jedi" Suddenly, Ahsoka bashed the blaster out of Veers's hands and pinned him against the wall with her electrostaff. As the stormtroopers aimed their blasters towards Ahsoka, Luke turned towards them with his lightsaber ready. "You…You won't kill me! Jedi do not kill unarmed opponents"

"Maybe not, but I'm no Jedi" said Ahsoka "And believe me; he may be a very upstanding and professional Jedi, but I've gotten quite sick of your treatment of the natives of this planet. The only thing that holds me back is that I respect this Jedi and his wisdom so much that I would never act so uncivilized in his presence" Luke was confused by what she was saying, but a quick wink from the Togruta girl was enough to explain everything. He knew what she was doing.

"Oh, of course!" said Luke before clearing his throat "As a keeper of the peace during the days of the Old Republic; I would much rather we resolve this peacefully, general. However, I saw many upsetting things whilst on the run from the Empire…I fear that a harsher approach may be inevitable. I must ask myself, what would the Jedi of old do?"

"Spare me your self-righteousness" said Veers "You're the ones at my mercy, I still have you outnumbered"

"And you're in their firing range with us" said Ahsoka "Is it worth it?"

"Haven't been paying attention?" said Veers "They are only stun blasts. If I give the order, all of us will be hit but none of us will die. We will ensure however that you two will wake up in cells" Ahsoka began applying pressure to Veers's neck using her electrostaff.

"If we're brought down, I might just lose sight of everything and stop holding back" said Ahsoka "I've risked too much; I can't let you get away, no matter what" To her surprise, Veers grinned at that. Abruptly, he pulled a remote from his belt and activated a button on it.

Meanwhile

As a TIE pilot oversaw his TIE bomber being fuelled and loaded with bombs and torpedoes, a device on his wrist lit up and began beeping. In response, he finished up the bomber's maintenance and entered it.

"All pilots, I have received confirmation from General Veers to start the bombing now" said the TIE pilot into the ship's comlink as he began lifting off "Leave nowhere of the targeted area unscathed"

Meanwhile

"What did you just do?" asked Luke.

"Take a look out of the balcony" said Veers as he gestured his head towards the balcony on his right. As Luke rushed over to the balcony, the stormtroopers turned their blasters towards him. "Hold your fire, men; but keep him within your aim" When Luke reached the balcony, he watched on in horror as the TIE bombers lifted off and turned towards the battlefield. Luke then instantly turned back towards Veers again and ignited his lightsaber.

"What are those TIE bombers doing?!" exclaimed Luke as he rushed over to Veers again. The stormtroopers readied themselves to fire.

"Hold it!" ordered Veers. He then turned back to Luke with a malicious and cunning smile on his face. "You, my Jedi friend, shall see very soon"

"Wait, are you…are those TIE bombers going to—" asked Luke desperately.

"Now you're catching on" replied Veers "Those TIE bombers were my backup plan in case the Alliance forces proved too troublesome, but I guess now I'll have to use them for something more…unconventional" Luke was unsure how to respond. "We don't have much time, so I'll make it quick: surrender yourself now and I will have the bombers called off. If not…I think it is self-explanatory. Tell me, is this a risk you're willing to take?" Luke was at a loss for words and found himself enveloped by a moral dilemma. If he surrendered himself, he knew Veers would hand him over to Darth Vader and he could not say for certain whether or not the general would keep his word afterwards; but if he refused to surrender, he knew for certain what was going to happen. This was a situation he could not think of a way out of.

Meanwhile

Han, Chewbacca, and R2 stood in front of a hologram of Admiral Ackbar.

"Thanks to the arrival of the reinforcements and the intervention of the Rogue Squadron, we seem to have stunted their attacks for now" said Han "But with many more of them readying on the other side of the battlefield and their headquarters still untouched, this fight's far from over"

"You've done good work, Captain Solo; especially considering the circumstances" said Ackbar.

"Well, I try not to brag" smirked Han.

"Commander Skywalker would be proud" said Ackbar with a sigh "I wish we didn't lose him in this battle"

"Oh, don't worry; he's alive" said Han.

"How do you know that?" asked Ackbar.

"That kid's tougher than he looks" smirked Han "Nothing can kill him"

"I hope you are right" said Ackbar "Anyways, I've talked to some nearby fleets and some of them might be willing to fill in for us now that you've driven the Imperials attacks back enough. I will give you an update after we've done deciding. Can you hold out for at least another hour?"

"Sure, anything for a break" replied Han.

"Very well" said Ackbar "I shall see you again soon, Captain Solo" The hologram turned off.

"You haven't won" said the stormtrooper commander (who sat next to a crate with his arms tied behind his back) "You've only delayed the inevitable. We'll march back here and kill every last one of you rebel scum!"

"Not my problem" said Han "Chewie, take him to the transport ship. Put him somewhere he won't cause trouble" Chewbacca growled and nodded in response before lifting the stormtrooper commander up and slinging him over his shoulder. But as they turned over towards the nearby rebel transports, they heard a familiar roaring and screaming noise approaching them. They turned around to see the TIE bombers rocketing towards them.

"TIE bombers!" exclaimed the stormtrooper commander "No, no; they're not supposed to be here unless everything else failed!" As he wiggled around in Chewbacca's grip in an attempt to escape, the Wookiee snarled at him to shut him up. As R2 beeped nervously, Han turned towards the rest of the rebel forces.

"TIE bombers!" yelled Han "Hit the deck!" As the TIE bombers closed in and began firing at them, a group of X-Wings swooped in and fired back at them. This broke the TIE bombers' line and forced them to disperse.

"That was a little too close for comfort, wasn't it?" said Wedge out of Han's comlink.

"Tell me about it" said Han into his comlink "Lucky you swooped in, and in the nick of time no less"

"It's not over yet" said Wedge "We'll keep the bombers occupied, but I can't guarantee anything; take cover in case any of them come back. You got that?"

"Yep, I'll get straight to it" said Han "Go get 'em, Wedge!"

"Roger that" said Wedge. Han turned back to the rest of the rebel soldiers and clapped his hand to get their attention.

"Okay, people; that was close but we got lucky" commanded Han "Don't expect that luck a second time though. Everyone, spread the word to the rest of us and get yourselves to cover. Wedge and the others will keep them occupied as much as possible; but if one bomber makes it here and gets a direct hit at you, you're dead. Let's get going and remember to spread the word!" As the rebel soldiers began moving to find cover, Han let out a loud sigh. "Luke, you had better be alive; because I don't know how much longer I can take this commanding stuff"

Meanwhile

"General, the TIE bombers have dispersed due to the intervention of those X-Wings" said an Imperial officer.

"Never underestimate the Alliance" said Luke.

"You were fortunate that those X-Wings were still in the area and were able to get to the bombers in time" said Veers "But this battle is far from over"

"What makes you so sure about that?" said Ahsoka.

"The TIE bombers are not down yet and your X-Wings cannot keep them at bay forever" replied Veers "And even if all of them go down before they do any damage, the victory will only be a pyrrhic one. More resources will have been used up and you will only grow weaker and weaker until you cannot fight anymore. Tell me, can your spirit or bravery save you from an inevitable defeat?"

"But with you gone, your forces will become disorganised and we'll have a chance" said Luke.

"Maybe so, but I'm not out of the picture yet" said Veers "Remember, you're still on Imperial ground and you are both still my prisoners; that hasn't changed at all"

"From where I'm standing, you seem to be the hostage here" said Ahsoka.

"Unlike you, I assess my situations and actions to have a better knowledge of what happens next" said Veers "Perhaps we will spend the rest of the battle like this in a continuous stalemate, but it will not help you in the long run. And if you do manage to escape the tower, this fortress is armed to the teeth with Imperial forces who outnumber you a hundred to one; and even if you get past them, you will still be on our side of the city and I guarantee that we will hunt you down. You may as well surrender here and now"

"We won't" said Ahsoka. She quickly swung around and threw him over to Luke, who caught him and placed his lightsaber at the general's throat. As the stormtroopers raised their blasters towards them again, Ahsoka extended her hand out and force-pushed some of them back.

"What!?" exclaimed one of the stormtroopers.

"Another Jedi!" exclaimed another stormtrooper.

"Im…Impossible!" exclaimed Veers. The sudden shock and confusion of this revelation caused all of the Imperials in the room to freeze in horror, which allowed Ahsoka and Luke to sprint over to the exit. "Don't just stand there, men; after them!" The Imperial riot troopers took notice of this and rushed after them.

"Vari, get the elevator!" exclaimed Luke.

"On it" said Vari. He leapt off of Luke's shoulder and rolled hastily along the floor over to the elevator door, where he quickly pressed the button to summon it. By the time Luke and Ahsoka reached the end of the hallway with Veers, the elevator doors opened wide and they entered it and went down just before the riot troopers could reach them.

"Now that was close" said Luke while breathing a sigh of relief.

"Too close" said Ahsoka.

"Great job, Vari" said Luke "We wouldn't have been able to make it out of there without you"

"You're welcome" said Vari "But ya' better not end up in another situation like that, that was the only smoke grenade i had left and I don't think we'll have time to stop at the storage room for another"

"At least we'll finally be able to get out of here" said Ahsoka. To Luke's surprise, her look of relief quickly turned into a look of despair. "Wow…so much will be different. I wonder what it will be like"

"You won't reach outside" said Veers.

"And what makes you so sure of that?" asked Luke.

"I told you before, this fortress is guarded extensively with Imperials" replied Veers "And all of them know of your presence, you'll be taken down sooner or later" Ahsoka frowned at him.

"Something tells me you're going to be a real hassle" said Ahsoka "Do either of you have anything we can restrain him with so he'll be less trouble?"

"I have some rope, miss" said Vari as he pulled out a piece of rope from his coat and handed it to Ahsoka.

"Thank you" said Ahsoka "Luke, turn him around" Luke pulled his lightsaber away from Veers's throat and turned him around. Ahsoka then pulled Veers's arms behind his back and started tying the rope around his wrists to restrain him.

"I commend you on your strategy, young Togruta" said Veers "Hiding your force-sensitivity was the card you needed to cause enough confusion to help you escape"

"Thanks, I guess" said Ahsoka.

"But it will not save you" said Veers "I tried to warn you both, but I suppose I'll just let what will happen happen"

"We'll see" said Ahsoka as she finished tying the rope. Suddenly, the elevator came to a sharp and startling stop. "What was that?!"

"They must have stopped the elevator" replied Luke.

"I did warn you" said Veers "No matter which way you turn, you are finished"

"You wouldn't happen to have anything to gag him with as well?" asked Ahsoka as she turned to Vari.

"Here" said Vari as he pulled out a piece of cloth and handed it to the Togruta. As Ahsoka used it to gag Veers, Luke paced up and down the elevator as he thought on what to do next.

"They'll be coming down here soon" said Luke "We have to find a way out of here quick" Ahsoka looked down at the floor of the elevator and an idea popped into her head.

"I think I may have found a way" said Ahsoka "Hand me your lightsaber"

"Okay" said Luke as he handed his lightsaber over to Ahsoka "But what are you going to do with—" His question was quickly answered as Ahsoka ignited his lightsaber, stabbed it into the floor, and encircled the floor creating a large hole. She then stuck her head into it and what she found whipped a smile across her face.

"We're in luck, there's a door just below us" said Ahsoka. She leapt down from the elevator and just managed to land on the door's ledge, grabbing a hold of the sides to prevent herself from falling down the shaft. "So far so good"

"Do you know which floor we're on?" asked Luke.

"No, but I'll find out soon enough" replied Ahsoka. She then stabbed the elevator door and began encircling it.

"Hopefully we've landed at either floor ten or floor five" said Vari.

"And why's that?" asked Luke.

"Not counting the tower, there are ten floors in total" replied Vari "Floors ten and five have shuttle pads so they might offer us a way out of this fortress"

"How could you…of course, you've explored this place so many times!" said Luke.

"Exactly, I know this place like the back of my paw" said Vari "Sneaking into this fortress and exploring it really payed off, eh?" Veers glared at Vari irately. When Ahsoka finished encircling the elevator door, she slowly force-pushed the circle she made out of the door to create a passage through it.

"Open fire!" said a voice. Suddenly, stun blasts fired through the door's hole and Ahsoka was forced to duck beneath the hole to avoid the sudden barrage of attacks. A squad of stormtroopers stood guard on the other side of the door; and now that they had confirmation on what lay on the side opposite to theirs, they were not going to hold back.

"Looks like we've got company!" said Ahsoka. Acting on instinct, Luke grabbed Ahsoka's electrostaff and turned back towards the hole in the elevator's floor.

"Hold on, I'm coming down!" said Luke.

"No!" exclaimed Ahsoka "There's barely any room on this ledge, stay up there for now"

"Careful, men" said the captain of the stormtrooper squad "We've been ordered to bring General Veers and the Jedi back alive. Get those doors open so we can have a clearer view of what we're shooting at"

"Yes sir" said one of the stormtroopers as he rushed over to the elevator controls.

"The rest of you, cover me as I call for backup" said the stormtrooper captain. As the stormtrooper overrode the elevator controls and opened the doors, Ahsoka lunged forward and slashed down a group of stormtroopers. "Oh no"

"Guess that's my cue" smirked Luke as he activated the electrostaff "Keep an eye on the general" Vari nodded in response as Luke leapt down onto the ledge, joined in with Ahsoka, and finished off the remaining stormtroopers until none remained.

"Now that's over, I guess I should give you this back" said Ahsoka. She handed Luke's lightsaber back to him.

"Thank you" said Luke as he took his lightsaber "I guess I should give you this back" He gave Ahsoka her electrostaff back. "Are you sure you don't want to keep using my lightsaber? I mean, you seemed…pretty impressive back there"

"If you are Anakin's son, then he would want you to have that" replied Ahsoka "Besides; a lightsaber's a Jedi's weapon, and I'm not a Jedi anymore"

"I wouldn't exactly call myself a Jedi either" said Luke.

"True, but…you're on your way" said Ahsoka.

"Still, there's a lot I need to learn" said Luke.

"You've got that right" smirked Ahsoka.

"What do you mean by that?" asked Luke.

"I mean; us fighting back there, I think it was pretty obvious who the superior swordsman is" replied Ahsoka.

"Hey; if you need to know, I've won plenty of times by myself" said Luke.

"Is that all?" smirked Ahsoka.

"Just try to remember who rescued you from that pod" smirked Luke.

"Obi-Wan probably sent you there because he wanted me around to save you from getting beaten over and over again" smirked Ahsoka.

"From who, that stormtroopers who stunned you back there?" smirked Luke.

"Well…I don't exactly have a response for that" smirked Ahsoka. She and Luke let out a chuckle at each other's worded banter.

Luke knew that Ahsoka was more trained and experienced than he was, but he felt strangely at peace around her. Ever since the Battle of Yavin, he had made many friends amongst the Alliance and had met a Jedi survivor in the form of Obi-Wan Kenobi; but as time went on, things began feeling different for him. The more adept he became at using the Force and the more he used his lightsaber in battle, he began to feel out of place amongst the other rebels. And around a full-fledged and experienced Jedi like Obi-Wan Kenobi, he knew he was not on the same level as he was yet. For some time, he felt as though he was neither fully a Jedi or fully a rebel. With Ahsoka however, he felt as though they were equals; they were a similar age thanks to the stasis pod, neither of them were fully a Jedi, and she appeared to have developed some street smarts. There was so much he wanted to learn from her, especially her former connection with the Jedi and a possible connection to his father, things that he wanted to learn from Obi-Wan but was unable to. Was this the reason Obi-Wan had led him to her?

"Eh, which floor are we on?" asked Vari from the elevator. Luke snapped out of his thoughts. Whatever he wanted to learn, it would have to wait.

"Just a sec" said Luke. He and Ahsoka turned back towards the elevator door to see which floor they were on. "Looks like floor five"

"Good, there's a shuttle pad not far from here" said Vari "I'll lead you there"

"It could be well guarded and there's a chance there might not even be a shuttle there at all" said Ahsoka.

"We'll be able to get outside, which will be an improvement over being stuck in here" said Luke "Besides, our prisoner is the highest-ranking Imperial in this fortress so we might have some leverage. Let's get the general down and get a move on"

"Do you think this will work?" asked Ahsoka.

"I'm not sure, but it's worth a try" replied Luke. Ahsoka smiled at that, it was something his father would say.

Author's note #1: I apologize if any parts of this chapter seemed a bit rushed. As I mentioned before, this one took a long time to finish and I hope you enjoyed the end result.

Author's note #2: I originally intended this to be the final part of the Mygeeto phase of this fic, but there were certain scenes I wanted to take my time with so I decided to split it into two to avoid throwing in too much all at once. I promise that the next chapter will be the last part of this phase, then we'll able to move onto the rest of the story.

Author's note #3: The scene where Vari attacks Veers is a homage to Momo attacking Zhao from Avatar: The Last Airbender.

Bountyhunter1977: That would be funny, but Luke's keeping his lightsaber for now.

The-Library-Goblin: That's an interesting idea but I'm afraid that I'm not sure if I will be able to fit it into the story.

Guest: I don't have an exact amount planned as I want to take my time with this fic but I have an outline on what's going to happen but I'm hoping to have at least ten chapters.

The Emeralking: Thank you for the review, I hope you enjoyed the latest chapter. Don't worry, I do not plan to discontinue my series; this time, I'm going to make sure I follow it to completion.
