In the Candy Kingdom, armed squads of six Banana Guards and six Voyadroids await outside a door at the side of the Candy Kingdom Castle, Minerva and Princess Bubblegum behind them. "On my count, breach." Minerva commanded. "What's behind this door?" Banana Guard 170 asked. "Not important. What's important is whoever might be behind it." Princess Bubblegum answered. "One… two… three!" Minerva exclaimed.
A Voyadroid blasts the lock and they rush into the dark room; filled with cables on the floor and computer screens on a wall. In front of these screens is an office chair, which Minerva turns around to find it empty. "She's not here!" Princess Bubblegum said when they hear the sound of a car engine revving up. They step outside and see a red sports car driven by The Scientist zooming past them. "She's getting away! All of you, catch her!" Minerva commanded her Voyadroids.
"Affirmative." a Voyadroid acknowledged with an Austrian accent. "What has she been doing with this place?" Princess Bubblegum wondered as she looks back into the room. "This used to be my personal surveillance centre for monitoring my citizens, but I decommissioned it two years ago." Princess Bubblegum answered. "What could she've been spying on?" Minerva wondered as she approaches the computer. She boots it up, and is shocked to find live security footage from Hub City, including secure areas like Minerva's deep lab.
At the Fern Tree, Finn and Jake are fighting Science Cat and Spear Bear for their daily battle at 4:00PM. "Graaah!" Finn screamed as he flings himself feet-first at Spear Bear's stomach, knocking him onto his back. Jake struggles to fight Science Cat as he has been reduced to a non-Newtonian puddle. "Quit stepping on me!" Jake pleaded as Science Cat dances atop Jake. Before Finn could act, Science Cat's watch alarm goes off.
"Quittin' time." Science Cat said before pouring a red potion onto Jake, restoring him back to normal. "You've really improved your kicks, Finn." Spear Bear complimented Finn. "Thanks Spear Bear. Science Cat, is everything alright? You're a little slow than usual." Finn asked. "Well, the thing is… I'm thinking of retiring." Science Cat responded. "Retiring? You can't retire!" Jake said.
"I've got a litter on the way, and they need their daddy around." Science Cat said. "I can kinda relate. My kids are all grown up, which lets me to do whatever I want." Jake said. "If you retire, who'll fight with me against Finn and Jake?" Spear Bear asked. "I dunno. Call up some friends, I guess." Science Cat suggested. The red car speeds past the hill, followed by six car-mode Zoomers, and the Banana Guards running behind, wee-wooing as they do.
"Later, guys. Good luck on the kids, S.C." Finn said. The adventurers run down the hill, and summon Chop Shop to their side. They mount the motorcycle and accelerate towards the chase. "You haven't used Chop Shop for riding in forever. What's up with that?" Jake asked Finn as he held onto him. "I guess I got used to driving Afterburn. He's got more firepower than Chop Shop, so that's a factor too." Finn responded as he revs the engine.
They catch up to the Zoomer fleet and ride beside the lead car. "Hey, what's your callsign?!" Finn yelled. "Team Three: Strike. I'm Arnold, Unit Zero-One-Three." the lead Voyadroid answered with an Austrian accent. "What's the sitch?" Finn asked. "We're on the tail of The Scientist, the fugitive you've been looking for months!" Arnold answered.
"You've found her?! What about The Barista and The Astronaut?" Finn asked. "No sign of them." Arnold answered. "Let's nab her and pick her brains back at base!" Jake said. "I'm taking point!" Finn said before driving ahead of the Zoomers. The Scientist looks at her rear-view mirror to see Finn and Jake catching up to her.
"Just when I thought I wouldn't see them again." The Scientist commented tiredly. They approach Hub City, closing in on the southeast entrance. "Fugitive is approaching city limits. Requesting backup. Over." Arnold requested from his comm. "Ja. De blockade ist forming now. Ovah!" Jerry's voice answered in a mock Austrian accent. "I was born last week, and I already hate that guy" Arnold said.
The Scientist sets her sights on the Hub Dome as she enters the city, then opens up a laptop hooked up to a remote device mounted on the dashboard. As they near the Hub Dome, Zoomer drones line up to block the streets leading to the building. Among the teams of Zoomers are the Odd Jobs piloting six of them, standing in the street directly south of the Hub Dome. "Who wants to say 'stop right there!' when she gets here?" Jerry asked his siblings excitedly. "Nobody's saying that. Just stand in line, Jerry." Larry told him.
"Well, if nobody's saying it, I will. I'm Unit Zero-Zero-One, so that makes me the leader of this team!" Jerry said proudly. "That's debatable." Larry said. "Oh, and you think you can be a better one?" Jerry said as he breaks formation and shoves Larry aside. With an opening in the blockade, The Scientist zooms through, with Finn and Jake not far behind. The rest of the team looks to Jerry with disdain. "Nice going, Jerry." Mary said before punching his mech in the face.
"I'm not supposed to text and drive, but this is an exception." The Scientist said as she types at the laptop with one hand. Zoomer units prepare to defend the arch as they near, but The Scientist remotely hacks the turret defences on the building to attack them, then slams her fist into the dashboard device, opening a Multiverse Bridge remotely. "Why's the bridge open?" Jake wondered. "She must've hacked it somehow!" Finn suggested. The Scientist drives up the ramp to the spacebridge arch, when Finn transforms Chop Shop into robot mode with Jake hanging on to catch her by the roof of her car.
They speed through the portal before it closes, just as Minerva gets to the scene. "Who activated the bridge?!" Minerva demanded an answer. "Nobody did. The controls were locked, as according to procedure." Larry answered. Minerva goes to the console and boots it up, but finds its systems corrupted. "She must've activated it by a virus, the same way she gained access to our security systems. It'll take a while to de-worm it and find the last-accessed coordinates." Minerva noted.
In the energy stream of the Multiverse Bridge, Chop Shop and Jake hang onto the roof of The Scientist's car as she speeds through the light tunnel. "Let go, kid!" The Scientist yelled as she sticks her head out of the window. "Not until you pull over!" Chop Shop demanded. "At wherever you're going, not here!" Jake added. The Scientist spins her car to shake them off, and the adventurers crash into the walls of light, letting her continue to her destination.
The adventurers scream in despair as they fall through the dark void, away from the light tunnel. "Jake, hold on!" Chop Shop screamed. "Here's hoping for the best!" Jake screamed as he wraps himself around Chop Shop's body. They fall until they are engulfed in a ball of light, and then find themselves falling through a blue sky. They crash safely in a forest thanks to Jake stretching into a bouncy ball.
He stretches back into dog form to reveal Chop Shop and Finn separated. "Finn, you good?" Jake asked him. "I think Chop's elbow poked me in the side, but I'm otherwise good." Finn answered. "What universe did we end up in?" Jake wondered. "Let's find some civilization. Maybe it's a universe we've been to before." Finn suggested.
They mount Chop Shop and drive in one direction, hoping to find civilization. They soon emerge from the forest and find a small city on the other side. "A city. We can stay there until mom finds us." Finn said. "And maybe we can find The Scientist there." Jake added before they speed towards the city. As they drive away, a monkey's red face emerges from a bush, watching the adventurers with its grey eyes.
They find the city to be populated by humans, like Earth was in their universe's past. "Looks normal enough." Finn said. "If our experiences taught us anything, there's gonna be something weird around here. Maybe there's three talking bears hanging around at a pizza place." Jake suggested. "Or an orphanage for… imaginary friends." Finn added. "Heh, maybe some kid living with his alien superhero aunts." Finn jokes.
As they turn a corner, they hear the screams of a crowd as people flee from a plaza. They speed to the scene and see a strange creature resembling a toothy beak with feathered arms and legs with a dwarf skeleton comfortably sitting atop it on a chair, armed with a clapperboard and a yellow acoustic megaphone. "C'mon, what's wrong? Doesn't anyone here wanna be a star?!" the monster screamed. "The heck is that thing?" Jake wondered. "Some film director monster? It said something about being a star, and it's got a clapper thing." Finn suggested.
Suddenly, six streaks of differently-coloured lights leap over the creature and land behind him. "Stop right there, Sporix!" a voice shouted. "Who's that?" Finn wondered. The lights dissipate, revealing six knight-like warriors wearing red, blue, pink, black, green, and gold-and-black suits, armed with serrated red swords. "The Power Rangers! How did you escape my evil movie set?!" the monster screamed.
"We wrapped it up early." Blue Ranger answered in a young man's voice. "Too bad the footage didn't make it." Green Ranger added in the voice of a young woman. "We're cutting your career short!" Red Ranger said. "Are they talking about film?" Jake wondered. "Sounds like it. I think they'll need some help." Finn said.
"Agh! You're the worst actors I've ever had! I'll teach you to mess with my movie!" the monster screamed as he charges up and energy ball from his clapperboard. Before he could act, he is tackled by Chop Shop in robot mode. "Huh?" Red Ranger said in surprise. Chop Shop holds the monster down and punches his skull. "Ow, not the face! I'm an actor too!" the monster exclaimed.
"Who's that robot?" Pink Ranger asked. "I don't know. I've never seen a robot like that." Gold Ranger said. "It looks like something from a-" Black Ranger said before being interrupted by Green Ranger. "Don't say you've seen it from a movie. I think I've had enough movie magic for one day." Green Ranger said. The monster knocks Chop Shop off him, but is accosted by Jake, enlarged into a more threatening dog.
"A giant dog?!" Red Ranger commented. "This doggy wants a bone!" Jake said as he thrashes the monster in his mouth before throwing him into a wall. "Ow, you guys're rough!" the monster said. "I don't know what exactly what you're doing, but thanks to context clues we can deduce you're evil!" Chop Shop said. "You got that right, but you haven't seen nothing yet!" the monster screams as he surges with energy.
The monster rapidly enlarges into a giant form, stomping through the city as he begins his rampage. "Look, ma, I'm a big shot!" the monster exclaimed. "That's not good." Chop Shop commented. "Hey, robot and dog. Thanks for the help. We've got it handled from here." Red Ranger said to Chop Shop and Jake as he holds up a red knight figurine. He throws it into the air, then teleports away with his team.
"Who were those guys?" Chop Shop wondered as Finn climbs out of his head hole and takes off his helmet. "If Simon were here, maybe he'd know." Jake said. Finn takes out his Amp Arsenal to call home, but it doesn't connect. They hear loud, rapid stomping when they witness a giant red robot with a T. rex head on its chest punch the monster. "Woah, look at that hunk'o metal!" Jake said excitedly.
