The next day at school, the students of Royal Woods Elementary are at the cafeteria eating their lunches and talking with their friends, and among them are Chinah, Jackie, and Claudette. As they went about their day, the lights lighting the cafeteria room suddenly shut off. Everyone present notices this and is confused. Then, a light turns back on, and it is shining at a second-grade boy in a tuxedo and a top hat holding a cane. His head is lowered, so no one, including Chinah, can recognize him. Standing behind him are Lola and Cricket, and the latter is carrying a radio for some reason. Everyone watches in confusion, wondering what is the deal with this kid.

Then, the kid raises his head, revealing to be the new kid Billy McWilly. Cricket presses a button on the radio, and tap-dancing music begins playing. Next, Billy starts tap dancing, shaking and waving his cane around. Everyone watching is impressed, including Chinah. He tap dances towards Chinah, and he hops onto the top of the table, startling the girls a bit.

"Hello, Chinah. A pleasure to speak to you again." Billy tips his hat towards her.

"I almost didn't recognize you, Billy. And I gotta say," Chinah observes his attire, "you look… classy!"

"I DO?!" Billy got too excited when he heard her compliment. Upon realizing he is losing his fanciness, he calms down. "I mean, I do, don't I?"

"But why are you performing a tap dance routine?"

"Because I want to express my talent. That is all."

Chinah giggles. "You're funny!"

Billy blushes as he hears another compliment of hers, trying his best not to get over excited and blow his cover.

"So what do you want to discuss?" asked Chinah.

"Oh I'm not here to discuss. I'm here to ask you if you want to go to a fancy restaurant for dinner tonight. Just the two of us." Billy winks at her.

"Oh. You mean a date?" Chinah starts blushing.

Billy nods. Chinah is rather hesitant about accepting this date. She only met the guy just yesterday and barely knows about him other than he is the new kid who moved to the United States from Canada; however, based on the presentation he just did, Billy seems to be a nice gentleman. He dresses professionally, and he knows his manners. Should she accept the date? Or should she wait to get to know him better?

"Come on. It'll be fun," Billy insists.

"Well… if you put it that way… sure." Chinah finally accepts.

"YES!" Billy shouts at the top of his lungs in pure elation. Realizing he lost his cool again, he clears his throat and says, "I mean, good decision."

After the ordeal, he hops off the table and resumes his tap-dancing routine. He tap dances out of the cafeteria, not to be seen again until later the day. Upon rejoining Lola and Cricket, he cheers with excitement and high-fives both of them. A new chapter in Billy's life has officially begun.
