The very next day Roshani woke before his wife. Stretching he yawned and at his side Valery just sighed, making him smile. "Wait here. I will be back." He whispered brushing a kiss against her forehead and that brought a tiny smile to her face.
Leaving the hut they shared Roshani headed into the village humming to himself as he did.
Valery needs her rest. I cannot believe she thought I would abandon her because she cannot have children. She must know that I care for her.
As he walked deeper into the village an idea came into the Izila's mind and he grinned, moving towards the edge of the forest before he changed his mind. It wasn't until the sun was already high in the sky that I stirred, snuggling closer to Roshani to find his body heat had vanished. Sleepy I opened my eyes discovering that he wasn't beside me and I frowned, sitting before I rubbed at my eyes.
I had barely climbed to my feet when I heard footsteps and I blinked at the sunlight that streamed through the hut when Roshani lifted up the flap, giving me a tiny smile as he stepped inside. "You are finally awake." Roshani commented and I felt myself blushing as he closed the entrance heading over to me when I sat back on the rug. "You have been sleeping badly and you need to rest."
"I know but...wait, what?" I asked and he sighed, joining me on the rug before he handed me a bowl that he had hidden behind his back. "What about you?"
"I will eat as soon as I finish talking." Roshani assured me and I nodded, taking a bite of cooked goat. As I ate he watched me though after I swallowed he started to speak. "You were mumbling in your sleep. I did not understand what you were talking about but you kept whimpering and groaning. I woke once when you were clinging to me and when I rubbed your head you fell back asleep. I am surprised you slept better after."
"I don't remember any of that, Roshani but thank you." I replied and he nodded, silent as I started to eat the rest of my breakfast. It wasn't until I set down the bowl that Roshani reached into the pocket of his shirt and I raised an eyebrow as he produced a small necklace. At least I thought that's what it was until I noticed how small it was.
"A present for you." Roshani explained, taking my right hand in his before he carefully wound the bracelet around my wrist. Tugging on it to make sure it fit he sat back to watch as I fiddled with the shells embedded in it. When I finally raised my head Roshani's eyes widened when he saw tears welling in my eyes. "Did I upset you?" He quickly asked but I shook my head, moving towards him before I rested my head against his shirt.
"N...no." I sniffed and he chuckled, gently wiping my tears away. "Sorry I get so emotional I'm just..."
"Happy?" He asked and I nodded, not trusting my voice. "You are very welcome but I wish you would not cry. It makes me sad to see you cry." Roshani told me and I sniffed as I wiped my eyes.
"I'll try." I agreed, clearing my throat. "Are you going to eat soon?" I asked and he nodded, rising to find that I had followed him.
"Would you like to come with me?" Roshani laughed and I nodded, entertwining my fingers through his before we headed outside. We ended up a few feet from Jayma's hut and as Roshani ate his own breakfast I stared at the empty hut, unable to believe that Jayma had left.
Roshani noticed my expression though he chose to wait until he had finished eating and I turned my head when he set down his own bowl. "She chose her own path." Roshani told me and I nodded though I couldn't help looking back at the hut a final time.
"I understand but I just couldn't spend my last few days on my own." I replied and he gave me a tiny grin, reaching over to give my hand a squeeze.
"How would you spend your last suns?" Roshani asked and I smiled at him, returning his hand squeeze before I answered a faint blush on my face.
"With you of course. Like you had to ask." I teased and he broke into a huge smile. "Silly question, Roshani."
"You mean husband don't you?" Roshani countered and I let out a laugh feeling better since Roshani had promised me his heart. "It feels nice to hear you laugh, Valery." Which just made me laugh even more and even Roshani joined in though not before he gently lifted onto his lap.
Less than an hour later I decided I felt like going for a walk and Roshani agreed under one condition. Which meant I followed at Roshani's heels I couldn't help wondering where he was taking me.
Hopefully we don't run into any Izila or Udam. If we do I'm ready to defend myself.
Gripping the blade tightly in my hand I watched as Roshani paused beside a rock turning around to find me less than a foot away. "Relax, Valery. You will be safe here." He explained once he saw my shoulders tense and with a grin he started to move again, jogging this time.
Hurrying after him I kept my eyes on his back wary which lasted until I saw an approaching waterfall in the distance and I finally relaxed, loosening my grip on my blade as I let him led me into the water. I gasped and Roshani just laughed as I shivered, standing ankle deep in icy water.
"Valery, it will not hurt you." He laughed as I wrapped an arm around myself and he snorted when I fixed him with a glare. "That is very frightening." He teased, stepping close enough to kiss my nose. His hands moving to the blade in my hand he tried to pry it loose and after finding that impossible he sighed, one hand over mine before he used the other to gently cup my chin.
I all but forgot I was standing ankle deep in water when Roshani kissed me, his lips warm against my own. When his hand moved down from my chin I jerked feeling his fingers slide under my top his fingernails casually stroking my belly and I shuddered.
When he started to rub my bellybutton with just his thumb I relaxed, even tilting my head back as a warm feeling grew in my belly. That finally relaxed my grip on my blade and he slipped his hand around the handle, taking it from me. Tossing it towards the nearby grass he lifted my now weaponless arm, draping it around his neck before he kissed my throat.
"Valery, you know how much I care about you." Rishani whispered, gently lifting me before he set me down in the water and I gasped finding the water even colder now that I was lying in it. "Valery, relax." He soothed as I glared at him both of my arms now wrapped around me in a vain attempt to warm myself.
Chuckling softly he sat beside me and I continued to glare as he leant in, giving my left ear a flick with his tongue. When I didn't react he tried again this time running the very tip of his tongue along my neck hoping for a reaction. Feeling me shiver he grinned and I yelped as Roshani grasped my shoulders, pushing me backwards. Now completely soaked I growled something under my breath which did nothing to deter my husband who climbed to his feet, undressing as I watched on with eyes wide.
"Now what are you doing?" I grumbled as he stripped, not stopping under he was standing before me naked. Unable to help it my gaze swept over him coming to rest on his groin and I blinked Roshani laughing when my cheeks reddened. "So the water didn't affect you huh?"
"Not at all." Roshani grinned as he stared down at me. I didn't move and he rolled his eyes kneeling before he reached for my clothes only stopping when I crossed my arms against my chest. "Why not?"
"Is that why you took me all the way out here?" I asked and after a long pause he gave me a brief nod not expecting to see me snort before I reached for my own top. "At least you could have been honest." I added, pulling my top up over my head which I tossed towards Roshani's own discarded clothes. I didn't even have a chance to strip my pants when Roshani grabbed them and I nearly fell backwards as he pulled them over my legs.
"Took too long, Valery." Roshani pointed out tossing the pants over his shoulder and with a grin he pushed me onto my back. Feeling his lips pressed on mine I opened my mouth and his tongue slipped inside, his tongue wrapping around my own as his fingers explored my now naked body. Kissing me Roshani's fingernails stroked my belly and when I groaned, arching my back as his fingernails rubbed between my breasts, his tongue left my mouth.
Sliding his body over mine Roshani arched his back and I groaned underneath him, feeling him gently slide into me. Cupping my chin he gave me a kiss so sweet that it brought tears to my eyes and he froze, wiping at my eyes. "Did...I hurt you?" Roshani whispered until I shook my head and he blinked as I wrapped one leg around his backside.
"Of course not. Like I said I'm kind of emotional today." I responded and he gave me a smile, my other leg wrapping around his waist as he started to move. Soon the air was filled with grunts and groans as Roshani thrust into me, my arms wrapped tightly around his neck. Even as he was enjoying making love to his wife Roshani became aware of a sound, a crack like someone had stepped on a branch and he froze.
When he stopped moving, his eyes moving to the forest behind me I nuzzled his neck. "Roshani, is something the matter?" I muttered kissing his neck but when he continued to stare past me I frowned. "What is it?" I whispered as he slipped from my body before he helped me to my feet.
"Someone's watching us." He whispered slowly making his way towards our discarded weapons. Keeping just behind him I followed as my eyes searched the forest though as Roshani knelt we both heard footsteps and I growled, quickly dashing forward to retrieve my knife just as someone sprang from the bushes.
