Disclaimer- NOT MINE! DON'T SUE!

A/N: Hello dears again, as you can see, I'm trying a different approach on Ron/Hermione. Everyone always thinks that Hermione's the one that's better than Ron... But let's see what happens when an author thinks otherwise and wants to experiment with converstaion only. Enjoy my 2 page drabble, and read the profile, me and Rachel have changed it. And now, onto the story.

"Ron, do your essay. It's due in three days."

"Then I'll do it tomorrow. Right now, play chess with me."

"I can't. I have to do revision for my essay."

"I love you Hermione."

Thump.

"Sorry, I shouldn't have said that. Just... Forget that I said anything."

"Ron, you can't love me."

"Why Hermione? Why can't I love you?"

"Because... We're too different. You can't love me because we could never get along, we could never survive together. You just can't love me."

"Please Hermione. We've gotten together for seven years now. You can't use that as an excuse."

"No!" Desperate. "You can't love me. I do my work while you don't; you love Quidditch while I think it's a waste of time. You'd stick up for Harry instead of me, and I would do the same. We wouldn't be able to make it work."

"How are you so sure? It's all just theories; it's nothing real."

"Why can't it be real? All we need to know is that we would never work out, so we shouldn't go and try, simply because it would be a waste of time. Don't you see?"

"How can we know if we don't observe for ourselves?"

Silence.

"You can't love me because I love you. And even though I know you love me too, I'm not worth it. I'm so much lower than where you are in terms of completeness. You know exactly who you are; you have an identity for yourself."

"So?"

"We shouldn't love each other."

"So you admit that you love me."

"Yes, maybe. But what does that matter?"

"If we both want it, why not go and get it?"

"Because it will never work."

Silence again.

"Then I guess this is the end, eh?"

"I... I guess so."
