Later that night, Chinah and Billy are on their first date at a fancy restaurant in downtown Royal Woods. They are sitting at a table reserved by Billy chatting as they wait for their food to arrive.

Chinah giggles. "You're funny, Billy."

"I know, right?" Billy agrees. "I mean, positively, m'lady." He repeats formally.

"I gotta say, you are a gentleman."

"Why thank you, beautiful one."

Chinah giggles again at that complimentary remark.

Meanwhile outside the restaurant, Lola and Cricket are watching the date through the glass window to make sure it is going well.

"Magnifique!" shouts Cricket. "The date is going according to plan!"

"And just the day before," Lola adds, "he was doubtful he would go out with Chinah, yet here he is! Talking to her like a civilized, sophisticated young man."

"Let's resume watching in case anything goes wrong, which hopefully isn't the case."

Back inside the restaurant, Chinah asks Billy a question.

"So Billy, what else do you do besides tap dancing?"

"Oh. Well… umm…" Billy cannot blow his rich boy act by telling her his hobbies which, to him, would be considered unsophisticated to a rich girl like Chinah, so he has to explain his hobbies that make them sound fancy. "I read books!" He says vaguely.

"Intriguing," comments Chinah. "What genre?"

"Well…" Billy grows more nervous as Chinah pushes for a more vivid answer. He grabs a napkin to wipe off some sweat from his forehead. "I read some sci-fi, I mean, nonfiction books related to… um… physics and astronomy that are… umm… fused together."

"You mean astrophysics?" Chinah corrects him.

"Yes! Astrophysics! My favorite subject to read about!" He laughs nervously.

"Interesting. I have an older brother who's currently majoring in astrophysics at Harvard."

"Wow!" Billy is suddenly excited. "Your brother goes to Harvard?!" Realizing he lost his cool again, he calms himself down and sits back down. "I mean, Harvard you say? A great university I've heard of."

"Yep. I plan on going to that school once I complete high school."

"Good luck on that, m'lady."

Their conversation goes into a pause. Chinah and Billy look at each with warm smiles on their faces. Their eyes are enamored with each other, interlocking with the love that is connecting them.

Soon, the waiter arrives with their food and drinks. He places the plates on their table, interrupting their lovable stares.

"Oh. Food's here," says Billy.

Chinah observes her food and realizes what it is. "Ooh! Mohnstrudel! My favorite German dish!"

"So that's what this is called," Billy said to himself. He grabs a fork that was laying on the table and gently takes a piece of his Mohnstrudel. He takes a bite of it, chews it, and then swallows it. "Mmm! This tastes good!"

"Oui oui!" Chinah agrees.

"Ah. Je vois que tu connais le français," Billy said in French, though it is quite broken.

"I have no idea what you've just said."

Soon, the children finish their plates and drinks. The waiter returns to collect the plates.

"That'll be two hundred dollars," said the waiter.

Billy almost had a heart attack after hearing that high price.

"That's alright," says Chinah. "He's going to pay for it." She points at Billy.

Billy remains silent, aware that he is not rich enough to pay for the meal and has lied to Chinah about him being rich and fancy.

"You will pay for the food, right?" Chinah inquires.

"Uhh…" He looks outside to see Lola and Cricket watching the date unfold in their eyes. The latter waves at him, smiling. He looks back at Chinah and says, "Excuse-moi." He gets up and leaves, leaving the waiter and Chinah bewildered.

Outside, Lola and Cricket watch Billy exit the restaurant and approach them.

"Girls, I need some money to pay for the expensive food." He pleaded. "I promised Chinah I would pay for all of it!"

"I got you covered." Cricket pulls out her wallet.

Meanwhile, Chinah watches Billy receive some money from Cricket as she waits inside the restaurant. She is now more confused than ever. Isn't Billy rich enough to pay for the food himself? He told her himself he comes from a rich background.

"And that's two hundred dollars!" Cricket hands Billy her money.

"Thanks! I owe you one!" Billy then runs back inside the restaurant.

"Hopefully Chinah didn't see that and suspect something," said Lola.

Billy returns to his and Chinah's table with the cash and hands it to the waiter. "Here you go. Keep the change."

"Thank you, young man." The waiter leaves.

Billy takes a seat and looks at Chinah. "Now where were we, m'lady?"

"I have a question."

"Ask away."

"What were you doing outside with Lola and Cricket? And why did Cricket hand you two hundred dollars?" Chinah asks, her tone becoming more stern.

Billy's eyes dilated after hearing those questions. "Oh. Well… uhh…"

"I thought you had the money to pay for the food. You are rich, right?"

"Why of course I am! Just because I… uhh… borrowed money from someone else doesn't mean I am not rich! It's no big deal!"

"It is a big deal! I am not dumb. If you were rich, then you wouldn't have to borrow money from someone else, let alone those from the upper middle class."

"Dang it," Billy said to himself, now aware that Chinah is on to him.

Outside, Lola and Cricket had watched the whole ordeal and looked at each other with worrisome expressions.

"I may have to rescind that 'Chinah doesn't suspect anything' part," says the former.

"Billy, look at me," Chinah ordered sternly. "Do you have something to tell me?"

Billy takes a sigh, knowing he has no choice but to tell Chinah the truth. "Fine. I have a confession to make. I am not rich."

"WHAT?!" Chinah screamed in utter shock. This caught the attention of everyone inside the restaurant.

"It's true. I am not rich, let alone a fancy rich gentleman."

"So you're telling me your clothes, tap dancing, and mannerisms are all just an act?"

Billy nods. "But I can explain everything!"

"I don't want to hear it!" Chinah stands up and leaves in anger.

"Chinah, wait!" Billy follows her.

Chinah exits the restaurant and covers her ears, refusing to listen to Billy.

"I just did this to-" He stops mid-sentence, acknowledging that Chinah won't bother listening to him. She is so upset at him that she will not believe anything he says. He looks down in sadness, knowing he messed up.

Lola and Cricket approach him, feeling sorry for him.

"Would you like me to take you home?" Cricket offers.
