"Dad…Can I tell you something?"
"Sure, Goten."
"Um, can you promise not to tell anyone else, yet?"
"Yeah."
"Can you promise not to hate me?"
Goku looked stricken for a second. "I could NEVER hate you Goten!"
Goten smiled nervously, "Dad… I'm gay. Please don't tell Mom yet."
Goku scratched his forehead.
"Are you ok with that?"
Goku replied confused, "As long as you're not hurt or in trouble…" smiling.
Goten beamed and hugged his father. "Do you mind if Trunks joins us for our spar, then?"
Goku nodded. 'Gay… gay… what did that mean, again?' Goku asked himself as Goten left to meet Trunks. 'I've heard it on TV, maybe?' He wondered before standing, 'Well, Goten did seem happy, so it must be something good…' He put two fingers to his forehead welcoming the change of scenery.
He got there to see the two teen-aged demi-saiyans drop out of their Super Saiyan warm-up. Trunks smiled mischievously at his younger friend as he launched towards him. Goku was about to cheer Goten on before he noticed something weird. Trunks wasn't in any offensive stance he had ever seen before, and instead of attacking… ended up holding Goten?
Goku's jaw became slightly unhinged as he learned what 'gay' meant. He looked on with a thunderstruck expression.
The boys pulled apart, unsettled by his expression. Goten asked, "Are you upset by this?"
Goku was only shocked. Once that wore off, he beamed and congratulated the two as their lips locked once again.
