Kagome started to sing when she reached the bridge.

Hiei POV

"Why is she crying, wait what do I care?" he asked himself.

"Well, I might as well find out" Hiei said while reading her mind.

Kagome glanced over to Hiei and smiled a very sad smile, showing that she knew he was there.

Hiei saw her glance and walked over to her to get a closer look.

Hiei moved next to Kagome and saw that she was crying. Hiei suddenly felt like he wanted to make her feel better so he grabbed her arm and Kagome stopped singing. "It's ok" was all he said before embracing her in his arms. "I'll be here for you from now on" Hiei said looking into her eyes.

Kagome was in total shock and just nodded her head and put it on his shoulder. "Somehow I feel safe with him" the miko thought while being held by Hiei.

Then Kagome sang the last line of the song

Hiei looked at the miko before kissing her on the check and smiled ...
