A Sleepwalking Soldier: A Sleepwalking Christmas!

Chapter One: Getting a Present for a Luckster!

Snoring could be heard as the door opened, a black-haired girl with freckles dressed in her pajamas leaving her bedroom and lumbering down the hallway.

The blond-haired girl groaned as she reluctantly sat up, rubbing the sleep out of her still tired eyes.

"What the…Muku…?" She yawned, seeing that her sister was nowhere to be found. "Guess she started sleepwalking again…why did it have to be so late at night…or early in the morning…whatever. Guess I'll have to punish her for interrupting my beauty sleep…"

She swung her legs and got up before she shuffled to her closet and opened it.

"Now…to punish Muku…" She muttered as she pulled out a cartoonish hammer.

"…Itai…" She muttered, stopping in her tracks to turn around.

"And just where do you believe you're going, peasant? Whatever you're planning, you have woken us up!"

"Junko…Naegi-kun…Christmas…gotta protect Naegi…from Kyoko's spell…"

Junko's eyes softened in surprise as she thought Wow, Muku's crush on Luck boy and her jealousy of Kirigiri is causing her to sleepwalk even without me drugging her? This should be interesting… She sighed and tossed away her crown, chastising "Fine, if it's that important to protect Luck Boy from the siren, go ahead. But you better get him a Christmas present on the way. And change into better clothes; you're still in your pajamas!"

"…Yes…my Luck Boy"

Junko grinned and ordered "Alright, just get your loafers and snow gear from the closet. It's cold out there after all, and it would cause me so much despair if you had to amputate your toes from frostbite."

Mukuro nodded and shuffled back inside, leaving Junko alone temporarily.

Mou, too bad I can't tail her and see the mayhem for myself. Seeing my useless sister cause Kirigiri so much despair by intruding on her private vacation with Naegi and his family would be so satisfying. But if I did, she'd probably tell on me to her daddy, and I'd get suspended for even longer!

"Junko?" The fashionista turned around to see Mukuro standing behind her, now dressed in a heavy black jacket, red scarf, black winter gloves, and loafers. "What should I get Naegi?"

"Oh, anything, that boy's so easy to please! Oh, here!" Junko reached into her pocket and pulled out a shiny black and white credit card before she handed it to Mukuro. "Here, take my credit card. Get whatever you want, and don't worry about the cost. Being bankrupt by my own sister would cause me so much despair!"

"…Thanks, Junko…"

"Not a problem! In fact, I'll come with you!"

With that, Junko slipped on her own slippers and followed Mukuro outside.

Mukuro skillfully dodged her sister's dagger as they rode her limousine to the nearby Walmart.

Wow… Junko thought, impressed. Even when she's asleep, she can still dodge my attempts to kill her effortlessly…of course, she did beat Kirigiri twice, so I guess I should have expected this much, especially since I'm not even trying. I wonder…

"…Itai…" Mukuro muttered as Junko picked up her hammer from the floor and bonked her on the head with it.

Huh, guess she could tell that I didn't pick up a fatal weapon… Junko mused. Of all the weapons I try to hit her with, the squeaky hammer is the one that hits?!

Junko sighed as she leaned back in the seat, closing her eyes. She allowed herself to nap as they waited for the driver to arrive at their destination.

Junko grinned as she and Mukuro walked down the aisles, attracting the attentions of countless, lecherous men.

Ah, I may want to plunge the world in despair, but until that can happen, being eye candy for every eligible bachelor in Japan isn't too bad of a perk! That's it, keep admiring…HEY!

Junko grit her teeth in jealousy as steam piped out of her ears. For as many admirers Junko was getting, Mukuro seemed to have twice as much.

Why can't you all be paying attention to ME?! Junko moaned to herself as one man stared incredulously at the sleepwalking Mukuro. I'm the fashionista, she's just the sleepwalking idiot!

Junko sighed in relief as the cashier finally began ringing up their supplies, thinking I can't wait to get out of here and back to my nice, comfy bed!

Junko watched as the cashier scanned the serrated chef's knife, hunting knives, broadsword, bucket of fried chicken wings, green Christmas-themed wrapping paper, and box.

"Ano…is that girl sleepwalking?"

"Just ignore it, she's payin' you, isn't she?"

"…Itai…" Mukuro muttered as Junko bonked her on the head with her hammer to demonstrate the futility of the cashier's request.

"No dice." She stated as she shook Mukuro's shoulder for good measure.

"…Try slapping her. I heard that works on sleepwalkers."

Junko shrugged, then drew her hand back to slap her sister silly. The moment her palm made contact with Mukuro's cheek, the Ultimate Soldier's eyes fluttered.

"Muku…?"

Mukuro blinked, then let out a rather large yawn.

"…Good Morning, Junko…" She muttered before she closed her eyes.

"…It's night, you baka." She scolded as Mukuro resumed yawning. Alright, we did it once, so let's see if it'll work a second time.

Junko slapped Mukuro's cheek one last time, only to be greeted by an unintelligible muttering before the Ultimate Soldier went back to sleep

The cashier shrugged as he swiped the credit card and handed it back to her.

"Thanks so much, bye-bye!"

Junko winked, causing the cashier to blush as the twins left the Wal-mart.

Mukuro meanwhile snored away, muttering in her slumber as they rode to Makoto's house in the limo.

"…Naegi-kun…hope you like my…Christmas present I bought you…"

She smiled in her sleep as she snuggled the Christmas present that their driver had wrapped for them, eager to return Makoto's kindness.

Junko sweatdropped, sighing as she watched her sister clutch the present protectively against her body, as if it were more precious than her own life.
