At a quarter to five Jade was running laps in the gym . She heard the others stagger in and ignored them until she stood in front of them making sure everyone was present and accounted for. " Ok so the only person we seem to be missing is Tony. Typical. Friday?"

" ok now that I've wrangled the playboy billionaire, I want you all to run some laps as a warm up after you feel your warmed up ,we're going to break off in to pairs. Do not pick your partner. I'll do that myself. Ok go."

I watch as they all start out strong a few I can tell are going to need to work on their stamina even for super hero's. The ones I notice that can go on for a while are Steve, Bucky, Nat, Clint. My eyes turn to Rhodey and Sam.

Rhodey is a soldier so he went through training but I can tell he's stiff like he's still recovering from an old injury. Sam is trying his best to keep up with Steve and Bucky but failing miserably. Need to work on his strengths rather than him trying to keep up with the big boys.

Bruce is jogging at his own pace he knows his regular form can't keep up with the others, but I can tell he's not here mentally. His big brain is doing calculations on some project that's back in the lab.

My eyes fall on Clint and Nat. Natasha's been doing this for a long time she has plenty of street smarts as well as a photographic memory. She can get information in the blink of an eye . She's the best pick pocket I know. And can pick a lock in under twenty seconds. Need to build on that.

Clint can hit any target you give him...blindfolded. He's an expert at hand to hand and on top of marksmen ship he's also a great swordsmen. But, he has other responsibilities to think of so his attention is divided.

My eyes fall on Wanda and Vision , they are talking and laughing quietly to themselves. I cross my arms and glare at them. Wanda notices and quickly picks up the pace. Gonna have to probably separate those two. I roll my eyes.

My eyes then fall on Steve and Bucky. I'm probably the only one in this room that could fully take both on. I notice Bucky clenching his teeth and rotating his left shoulder. Huh? Must be irritating his skin. I watch as Steve asks him if he's alright. Bucky stops and says in a whisper " arms been acting up since the last mission. I don't know what's going on with it. "

I tap my ear piece and ask Friday to have Tony bring his tools down when he finally decides to grace us with his presence. She confirms his reply and I smile at his childish antics.

Steve makes eye contact with me. I see a question in his eyes . I shake my head subtly yes. To let him know it's been taken care of.

I break eye contact " Alright everyone back to center. Form a line. " everyone moves quickly and I point at Steve, Natasha , Clint, Vision.

" You four over here. Wanda, Sam, Rhodey, Bruce, you Four over there." I see Bruce give me a funny look. I smile at him in encouragement. " ok you eight , I'm going to pair you up . Quickly go and stand with your partner.

They give me funny looks as they quickly pair up. " This is your training partner. You will help each other learn what the other is good at. For example. Natasha you will teach Sam how to pick a lock in under twenty seconds as well as pick pocket. Sam you will teach Natasha how to train falcons. " he looks at me like I'm crazy and a little bit in a panic I put my hands on my hips and say " . And don't look at me like I've lost my mind. Cybernetic link remember? I know you know falconry" he scratches the back of his neck in embarrassment.

I turn to The others " do I need to give you all an example?" They shake their heads no quickly. I turn at the sound of the door opening to see Tony finally come strolling in with a tool box. I look at Bucky. " You Mr. Barnes are going to take a seat here and let me have a look at your arm. " He sits but flinches when I tell him I want to have a look at his arm. " Here you go Jade. " Tony hands me the tools and the hen looks around at the others. " what're they doing?" I smile at him " They are doing an exercise I asked them to do . You on the other hand are late. So I want laps until you can't run any more. " he looks at me like I've grown a second head. " you can't be serious." I freeze a he says this ." Oh? And why do you say that?"

He swallows and clears his throat be fore he answers . " so laps until I can't go anymore piece of cake."?

I'm chuckle as he starts his laps. I turn back to Bucky and see him looking at me like a frightened animal. " hey easy Bucky. Im not going to mess with anything I just want to make sure the mechanisms are still in alignment. If their off by a fraction , then you will have some aches and pains . But I promise no fixing any thing unless you ask me too." He takes a deep breath and says " ok" I grab his arm gently and start looking it over. " Incredible , the Wakandans know how to make some fine craftsmanship. Ahh, I see Shuri had a hand in designing it. It's amazing how far advanced their technology is compared to other parts of the world." I look up when I hear silence on his end. " you know Shuri?" I chuckle " I should, I taught her everything she knows. King T'Chaka asked me to come and teach her when she was only five years old. The girl soaked up knowledge like a sponge . She surpassed what her teachers taught her and had moved on to middle school and even some high school work books. I miss her very much." I open a small compartment and see the mechanisms working until I see a gear trying to turn but a small piece of metal is lodged in a hole keeping it immobile. " there's the problem. " I grab a large pair of shop tweezers and hand him the penlight. " can you hold this right here? Thanks." I grab the piece of metal with the tweezers and pull slightly until it's dislodged." I hold up the metal to the light . It looks like a piece of Caps shield. I look at Bucky and ask." Did Steve hit you with his shield recently?" He chuckles " yeah the little punk did. About 2 weeks ago. We were on a mission and we kind of got it into our heads that we could pull off a similar move that sSteve and Thor do. Didn't turn out all that great. "

I cross my arms and cock my head to the side. " You know, we if you hit the shield at a ninety degree angle it'll have the same results. Of course it won't cause lightning but a sonic boom is close enough I guess."

I say this as I put the tools away. I see out of peripheral that I've left him speechless. " So , care to do some sparring? I bet I could take you." I can see doubt flash across his eyes. " you think you can take on a 106 year old super soldier ex-assassin? Look Doll, no offense but I seriously doubt that you could last three minutes with me. "

I cross my arms in anger and just stare at him for a second. " I know you're from the 1920's , 1930's but woman's rights have come a loooooong way since then. Especially since you've worked with other woman on the team who had a hand in helping take down ,Loki , Hydra and Ultron." I can tell our argument has drawn the attention of the others. " Hey uh Barnes, gonna give you a warning , she's gone toe to toe with the Juggernaut , Sabertooth, and apparently the Hulk a time or two, You may want to reconsider." Says Clint. " you're that strong? " he asks skeptically

" care to find out for yourself?" His eyes widen at my flirting tone. He clenched his fist when Clint laughs " oh boy 50 On Jade!" Clint yells out. I make my way over to the mats as the other bet on our sparring match. " Look , I don't know about this." Says Steve . " Capsickle either place a bet or step a side. Jade's been around a long time. Trust me. She can handle her self. Especially since she knows every kind of martial arts there is and has black belts in all of them.And even if she didn't , she's scrappy!" Says Tony

I turn and glare at him. " Tony button your loud mouth before I grab a staple gun and staple it together!" I yell. I turn back towards Barnes and see that he's standing there with wide eyes. " we doing this or not?" He clears his throat and gets into a defensive stance. Alright show time. I run at him and quickly do a leg sweep. Which he jumps over. He counters with a right cross and a left upper cut. I block and retaliate with around house kick to the jaw. He staggers and looks at me as he moves he jaw back and forth.

I smile a feral smile at him and notice that his eyes widen when he sees that my teeth have sharpened and my pupils have slitted. I hear Bruce say " I raise 100 on Jade." Clint and he high five. As the others raise the anti on Bucky to match. Suckers. He comes at me harder than before . I duck, dodge and block as he moves faster. I match him in speed . I jump up and plant my feet on his chest and do a back flip in the air , landing in a crouch . He staggers back catching his balance before he falls. Natasha hands him Escrima sticks and Clint does the same for me. I run at him as he comes at me . We slam against each other hard.

He tries to over power me but I haven't ever been a quitter. I slowly start to push back making him stagger back a few steps. He grunts when he slowly starts to be pushed down to his knees. But somehow he quickly leans to the right and rolls making me fall on my stomach. I grunt and feel a few ribs crack. I wince and look to my left to see him freeze when he heard the crack. I push my self up and face him. " never let a few cracked ribs stop me from proving a point." The run at him with in human speed. Hitting him from all sides . He counters some of my hits missing others.

Then we come to a stand still when I decide enough is enough . I run at him head on and tackle him to the floor. He goes down with a grunt . I drop my escrima sticks and decide to shift my hands into my claws. When we come to a stop I'm straddling his hips and I have my claws at his neck. He looks me in the eyes . He's about to say something when . I hear clapping from our audience. I slowly look at the others and rolls my eyes at the stunned looks . " ok enough with the gawking. " I slowly stand and reach down to help Bucky up. " sorry if I was a bit rough. Kind of been a while since I've let loose like that." He stares at me " You we're holding back weren't you?" I smile " maybe I was guess you'll never know. " I walk away from him to see Others beside Bruce, Natasha and Clint , stunned.

" wait a minute , that was you holding back? What happens when you don't?" Asks Steve. I laugh and say " let's hope you never find out. I have skeletons in my closet just like everybody else. But me going full Red Vixen , pray you never have to see that. Think Hulk but tinier." I watch as different emotions cross everyone's face.

" Jade your aren't that bad." Says Natasha . " you weren't there when Sabertooth threatened make me watch as he tortured the man I loved and then he would come for me. See , I had gotten separated from everyone on Alcatraz island . No one was around so I guess I protected my self in some way. I went into a berserker rage. Took Logan , Gambit , Colossus and Beast to get me back to the holding cell underneath the mansion. I was in my Rage state for nearly a month before Charles was well enough to finally get through to me. I transformed back. remembering everything that I had done. "

I look at everyone and saw disbelief. I see Tony watching me closely. " Don't even think about it. Whatever it is don't." He holds his hands up . " I won't but Jade we need to figure out what triggers this berserker rage."

" Tony's right , Jade. That way we know to avoid this at whatever the cost."

I smile sadly . " There's nothing left to worry about. Whatever I had that triggered it ...it's gone. "

Natasha gasps in shock " please tell me he didn't . Please ...just please tell me I'm wrong." " you're not wrong Nat. You have to have a heart to care and mines... broken into a million pieces. So that's my trigger , you mess with what I care about, mess with me friends and family I will came at you like nothing you've ever seen before. I will hit you from all sides , until there's nothing left. I left the mansion before she got out and went on a revenge trip. You see she's always in the background waiting, watching, listening. She is a hunter, a predator. She beat Sabertooth to with in an inch of his life. She left him bleeding and broken on that island. And then she went after the bigger threat. Juggernaut. He has scars across his face now because of her and because of me. So no there's no way to stop her. She is good , but the good is the side she's chosen to side with. So I suggest you think before you come at me with promises of friendship. Because if you break my trust I do hold a grudge. Just as Logan." I walk out of the gym and don't look back
