A Change in the Air

Wanji's hands had already partially removed Wei WuXian's outer robes and was reaching for his sash belt before they had even shut the door. Luckily Wei WuXian had a thick face and their JingShi was out of the way so no one saw the shameless display. Wei WuXian laughed and teased Wanji for his eagerness, as Wanji ignored him and moved them both further towards the bed.

'And I thought I was supposed to be the shameless one Er'ge…...you didn't even shut the door before you started ripping off my clothes' Wei WuXian laughed trying to avoid stumbling and hitting his head on the hard bed frame.

His laughter was soon muted by Wanji's mouth covering his and the feel of both sets of lips. Both tongues playing a sensuous game, that no matter how many times they played they never got bored of. Wei WuXIan could only wriggle his lower body against Wanji. Revelling in the way his kisses became more assertive as he rubbed himself against what he knew was there, despite it still being hidden behind layers of robes.

Wanji broke the kiss and looked down on Wei WuXian with eyes that danced with flame.

'Stop it' He said between breaths.

Wei WuXian just laughed and increased wriggling.

'I said I would cause trouble for you' he grinned cheekily upwards.

Wei WuXian wasn't stupid, he knew exactly what he was doing and what the result would be. By winding his husband up like this there would only one outcome. No sleep for either of them tonight! It didn't matter how long they had been together, or how many nights they shared, both of them still couldn't get enough of the other.

As if to make his point clear Wei WuXian raised his hips a little to rub against Wanji with more pressure. Although his top robes had been removed and his belt was undone he was still clothed on the lower half and Wanji was still completely clothed. Wei WuXian was taking advantage of this fact when he laughed once again and said.

'After all a gentleman never breaks his promise..I…..'

He was cut off once again by lips touching his, tongues entwining with each other until neither knew where one began and the other ended. Only this time it wasn't just mouths touching each other, hands also roamed freely across each others bodies. Bodies they knew intimately. Almost better than their own. Neither man was surprised to find their robes thrown onto the floor without actually realising how or when. They were working on the level that true cultivation partners and soulmates worked on, the level of one mind.

When Wei WuXian moved upwards to accept Wanji's fingers, and later Wanji himself, neither man had to speak. Both just instinctively knew and accepted. When later the relentless movement became to much for one, the other knew automatically to slow down. When one had reached the point of total pleasure and released the other followed him over the edge into bliss...…...and when one was laid relaxed and sleeping covered in the thin blanket to keep out the cold, the other was by his side sleeping soundly right along with him.

Dawn broke and as much as the two might have liked to remain in bed and sleep…...or maybe do other things, they were required once again in the main hall. Today was the day when the respective Sects where leaving. The assembly had been completed and each Sect had to return to their own lands to govern and keep the peace. The first to leave where the Qinghe Nie Sect and after giving the respectful bows to both ZeWu Jun and HanGuang Jun they were on there way. The LanLing and YunMeng sects took a little longer to leave. Jin Ling was remaining behind, on the surface, to complete some studies, but everyone knew he actually wanted to spend a little more time with his friends and do some night hunting with his uncle and Wen Ning. Therefore Cheng Jiang pulled Wei WuXian aside from the official party for a few words before the two Sects bowed and returned to their respective homes. No one knew what had been said between the two brothers, and everyone knew enough of the past experiences not to invade any personal space the two where finally managing to rebuild. Or stupid enough to get involved in a fight between two of the most powerful cultivators if they were still angry at each other.

The next days passed peacefully. Well as they ever did at Gusu now that Wei WuXian was in residence. Jin Ling had taken up living in the dorms with SiZhui and JinYi so despite repeated reminders of the 'no noise' rule, that dorm was never actually quiet. Wei WuXian was teaching both archery and talisman making to the youths, something that not only made Lan QiRen grit his teeth at the idea but physically cover his ears at the noise coming from the classroom. The juniors often went out night hunting with Wen Ning, of course without the official permission of Lan QiRen who still pretended the Ghost General didn't actually exist, and came back each time with both stories and experience.

Both Wei WuXian and Wanji took the opportunity to relax at home and often the whole of Gusu could hear the harmony of both flute and Qin floating over the wind. The tune was always the same and no one had ever heard it before Wei WuXian had returned to reside at Gusu. Most people assumed it was him who had created such a melody and although it was beautiful, and Wei WuXian didn't have the reputation he had once enjoyed, they were still nervous to approach him about such a thing. Only Sizhui would stand listening to the melody coming from his parents Jinshi for hours on end with a smile on his face which never wavered.

New came from the other Sects that there was the occasional user of demonic cultivation energy that had to be subdued, the occasional monster hunted. But all in all the times where quiet. Every Sect was having lower than normal problems which needed their attention. Even the lower Sects that had fewer members where having this same absence of activity. It was as if anything with any malicious intent had disappeared. Although it was nice to have a rest for a while, many people began having an odd feeling about this absence of activity and what it could mean when it eventually came to an end.
