Chapter 3
Reveals
Shin was looking at his mask while sitting on his bed in a room.
His mind was puzzled.
'Why would she call me brother? There were no survivors of the attack.'
A long time ago…
Shin was under a collapsed building after the attack of his home.
His eyes opened to see nothing but destruction and dead bodies.
'Its all gone!"
He shouted internally.
Shin closed his eyes, suddenly he felt the rubble on him lifted.
He opened his eyes and saw a young Adam Taurus.
"What happened here?"
He asked Shin.
Shin just shook his head.
"I dont know."
In the Present…
Shin threw the mask away when a White Fang Grunt entered his quarters.
"Commander, our new leader demands your pressense."
"New Leader?"
"Sienna Khan has stepped down, Adam Taurus is now in command."
Shin stood up.
"Good, maybe now we can get things done."
Shin went to where Adam was and saw Hazel and the blonde haired member of Salem's court near him.
"Why are they here?"
Shin asked.
"Theyve offered us the Destruction of Haven."
Adam said, looking down at Shin.
"Theyre not one of us how can you trust them?"
"Stand down."
Adam ordered.
"Y-yes sir."
Shin bowed to Adam.
"Theyve also helped me convince Sienna Khan stand down."
Adam lied as he cleaned his sword.
"Now commander, you failed to kill Erika Hinotori, if you fail me again you wont get another chance."
He aimed his sword at Shin.
"Do i make myself clear?"
"Y-yes sir."
Shin knew that if he and Adam fought there would be no chance of victory.
"Good now leave."
Shin quickly left.
"So thats the boy you control?"
The blonde haired girl asked.
"He's useful."
Adam responded.
"Its time to head back Monika."
Hazel said walking away.
"Fine."
The girl named Monika said.
Her and Hazel left the new leader of the White Fang to his plans.
Meanwhile…
Erika and Kali were sitting on a couch, Sun was sitting on the floor, and Blake was leaning against a wall while Ghira was reading a paper and pacing back and forth.
Ghira was preparing his speech and hoping the Faunus do the right thing.
Erika's mind was distracted though, she had bigger things on her mind.
They left the house and Ghira stood at the podium with everyone in the house at his right side.
He talked about how Adam Taurus helped the fall of Beacon and how Adam is ruining the Faunus reputation.
Ghira then talked about how Blake,Sun, and Erika were attacked.
"They were successful in obtaining one of the assailents scrolls. With this we were able to ascertain Adam Taurus plans to overthrow the current leader of the White Fang Sienna Khan and take over the reins himself."
The people were starting to speak in concern.
"His radical plans do not stop there. The documents on this scroll proclaim his next target to be Haven academy and its attached CCT Tower, the plan is to strike on the Full Moon before the start of the Fall Semester, roughly two months from today. I have sent my swiftest messenger to the government of Mistral,but i believe we have a greater responsibility."
Erika looked into the crowd and thought she saw someone.
'Ilia?'
She thought to herself as she readied her weapon.
While she was focused on the crowd.
Ghira started to talk about how it was time to get rid of Adam's methods,show the world they are equals, and restore the White Fang to what it was before.
The people cheered at this.
"To do this i think the answer is clear. We must go to Haven Academy and protect it at all costs!"
The crowd stopped cheering.
Ghira cleared his throat.
"Before we go further i would like my daughter and her friend Erika to come up here and say their story.Not only as former White Fang members, but as survivors of the Fall of Beacon"
Erika went ahead of Blake.
She looked at Blake.
Blake nods at Erika.
Erika stood at the podium.
"What i know is true and what i say even truer. When Beacon fell i saw my friend fight against Adam Taurus. He was the one who destroyed my friend's home. But my friend was no match for Adam and he almost lost his life. Thats when i snapped,and i used my power to attack Adam and save friend. Adam Taurus is a monster worse than any grimm any of have ever seen. He did something to my brother. He doesnt even remember who i am. I need to save him. And if you all want the world to start seeing us as equals. Then we must fight the one preventing us from truly living in peace."
"Traitors!"
A loud shout was heard and a cloak was thrown into the air.
Ilia was there.
"Cowards."
Erika jumped near her.
"Ilia you know this isnt right."
"Shut up! After everything the humans have done to us, everything theyve put us through. Youre asking us to help them."
"Im asking you to see things clearly and help get rid of the true monster."
Erika said calmly.
"Where was their help when the dust companies treated us like slaves, where was their help when kingdoms hunted Faunus just for being who they are, where was my help when my parents were killed in a dust mine!"
"I had no help when i lost my parents died too, i avenged them and felt terrible!"
Erika shouted.
"This pain never goes away, Ghira helped me find a better path, and im sticking to it."
Ghira spoke up
"Progress takes patience and cooperation."
"The Belladonnas are the worse kind of Faunus. They want us to work with the same people trying to hold us down. If you truly truly want to help your people. Now is the time to support Adam, not the Belladonnas. He will bring about the future you deserve, and if you are willing to fight, know the White Fang will do it for you."
Erika pulled her weapon out.
"Im willing to fight, but on the side that wont result in more death."
Sun jumped at Ilia who used her weapon to escape.
Several guards went after her.
Back at Haven…
RNJR was trying to figure out what Oscar is, while Shade was leaning against a wall thinking.
"Can you all calm down for a moment so we can actually figure out what's happening?"
They stepped back.
Oscar looked at Shade.
"Thanks."
Shade nods.
"Now i think we are owed an explanation."
Qrow walked in with a cup of coffee.
"Mind showing us that little parlor trick kid?"
Oscar sighed.
"Yeah ok. Just so you know ill still be here."
Oscar closed his eyes took a few deep breathes then a light surrounded him then vanished.
He opened his.
"Its so very good to see you again students."
(AN: Ok so im just going to explain this real quick, when Oscar is Oscar i will label him as Oscar and when he is Ozpin/Ozma i will label him as Ozpin, ok we all good? Great enjoy the nonsense)
RNJRS looked confused at him
"Professor Ozpin?"
Shade questioned.
"Yes, and though i am here Oscar is still present mentallyl, he has handed over control so to speak."
He went silent for a moment.
"Im afraid this all must be very perplexing."
Nora spoke
"And alarming and bizarre and just really kind of hard to believe overall."
Ozpin chuckled a little
"Its good to see you children still have your sense of humor."
He looked at Shade who looked a little too serious.
"Im sorry youve all been through tremendous hardship."
Shade lightened up a bit.
"It wasnt your fault."
Ruby said to Ozpin.
"It is all my fault."
Ozpin began to explain that he is cursed and how he reincarnates in bodies of like minded soul
"So who, what are you?"
Jaune asked
"Im the combination of countless men who spent their lives trying to protect Remnant, with every rebirth my soul merges with another and i am changed. But the memories stay with me."
Qrow handed him a mug.
"This curse was bestowed upon me by the gods."
Hearing those words made Shade twitch a little.
Nobody noticed but he felt something was off.
Ozpin mentioned how they must stop Salem now.
"And how do we do that?"
Ruby asked.
"We start by ensuring the safety of the Relic of Knowledge."
While this was happening Dawn had tracked Weiss to the bandit camp of Raven Branwen
'Too many guards to act now even with my new ability, i must wait.'
She thought to herself while standing in a tree near the cage Weiss was in.
Back at Haven…
Nora suggested showing Ozpin to Lionheart to set things straight but Qrow immedietly shut down the idea.
Ozpin heard about how Lionheart was acting and didnt was to try anything yet.
"No one outside this room knows i paired with Oscar and i think its best to keep it that way."
"So what is the plan then?"
Shade asked.
"We have two steps in front of us, first is to inlist the aid of more huntsman."
Qrow spoke up
"Ive been here enough times to know where we can find some."
"As long as theyre trust worthy."
"You can trust them to put up a good fight, ill come up with a list tonight."
He had his feet on the table and it broke.
"After that we can move on to step two."
Ozpin said walking back to his seat.
"What's step two?"
Nora asked.
He held his cane and turned to RNJRS.
"Getting you five into fighting shape."
"But we already know how to fight."
Ruby stated.
Ozpin pointed his can at Ruby's face.
"You can only fight as long as you have Crescent Rose, you are still lacking in hand to hand combat."
"Well heh yeah."
He pointed his cane at Jaune's face.
"Mr.Arc, im glad to hear youve improved, but sorry to say youve yet to unlock your semblance."
Jaune looked away.
Ozpin pointed his cane at Shade.
"And you Mr.Leaf need to learn how to better your new duel wield style, i can also tell your aura has changed you are ready to learn the second stage of your semblance."
"Second stage?"
Ozpin stepped back.
"There are multiple stages to your semblance, i will help you improve it bit by bit, i dont want you trying to increase your power with no knowledge of the consequences."
Ozpin pointed at all of them.
"All of you still have a ways ago till youre ready to stand a real threat against Salem and her forces and though Oscar can give me temporary control we need to strengthen his body and his Aura.He'll inherit my muscle memory in time but practice will expedite the process."
"But if Qrow is looking for Huntsman who is going to teach us?"
Ozpin flipped and landed on his chair while spinning his cane.
"Well i believe i was the headmaster of Beacon academy. We have approximately one month before classes resume at Haven, if Salem were to plan an attack it makes sense it would occur prior to students returning. Its not much time but its better than nothing. Just dont expect me to go easy on you."
A light hit him and Oscar returned and fell back with his chair.
"Youve got to be kidding me."
AN:Well that was fun, sadly until i reach the last few chapter we dont have many action scenes. But this set up necessary. I hope you all are having a Happy Holiday. And im going to be taking a break post this cause getting these chapters written during this time is strangely stressful. I promise i wont disappear for a year with SHDE again. Until Next time.
