Chapter 12
Turning the Tide
(Devil Trigger from Devil May Cry V starts playing)
AN:Trust me when I say this song fits Shade quite well.
Shade's new state surprised everyone in the room currently.
Jaune was distracted trying to stop Weiss's wound from getting worse.
Lionheart looked at Shade in shock.
"Impossible."
Shade looked at Cinder with a glare.
Cinder stepped back.
'Not again.'
She thought.
Flashback…
Ruby's silver eyes had activated and Shade's eyes had turned black.
When Cinder was blinded at hit she turned to Shade who ran at her with a shadow blade in his hand.
End of Flashback.
'I am not losing another arm.'
Shade looked at the blade he threw at Monika.
The blade was between her and Hiroki.
Shade took a step and he was between the two.
Monika responded by immediately swinging her scythe at Shade's neck.
Shade kicked his blade up and right before Monika's blade hit Shade caught the blade and blocked the attack.
Yuki saw this and ran at Shade and attempted to stab him again.
Right before the blade hit Shade he vanished.
Yuki quickly turned around and saw Shade behind her.
"What?!"
Hiroki watched this.
"Ok this is different."
Yuki ran at Shade.
"This time I'll finish you!"
Shade held one arm in front of Yuki.
She quickly went around Shade and attempted to stab him in the back.
But before she could a shadow arm appeared from his back and held her arm back.
She made an aura dagger and tried to stab him when another shadow arm held her back.
Shade shoved his elbow into Yuki's stomach and dropped her on the ground.
He turned towards Cinder and aimed his blade at her.
His aura went into his blade, surrounding it in shadows.
Shade ran towards her ready to attack her.
Monika smirked at this and stood in front of Shade.
She swung her scythe down as Shade was in front of her.
Shade swung his blade and ran past her and stopped in behind her.
Monika turned towards Shade, her scythe on the ground and her hand was cut off.
Shade turned towards Monika and shook his head at her.
(Devil Trigger end)
Cinder looked at Shade with slight fear.
"Hazel, take him out now!"
Monika shouted.
Hazel snapped out of his rage against Ozpin and turned to Shade.
He ran at Shade while charged with two kinds of dust crystals.
Shade quickly ducked to dodge Hazel's punch only to be hit by a fireball he shot at Shade.
When the dust cleared Shade was still standing and looked unaffected by the attack.
Yuki ran at Shade again.
She shot at Shade as she ran.
Shade puts his shield up and blocks the bullets.
Only to be punched through a wall by Hazel.
Shade went flying.
He closed his eyes and the shadows surrounding him went towards his back.
Shade opened his eyes and Grimm Griffon wings appeared on his back made out of shadows.
He lands on the ground and looks around.
There were White Fang members armed and looking at Shade.
Shade turned towards the wall he was knocked through.
While this was happening…
Hiroki went to Ozpin.
"What's happening to Shade?"
"He's awakened in the second stage of Shadow Manipulation."
"The second stage?"
Hiroki said while shooting at Hazel.
"It's called Shadow Possession."
Ozpin dodged Hazel's attack.
"It awakened from stripping away emotion and merging his aura with his shadow. While he is like this his mind and body will be only focused on one goal."
"Which is?"
Hiroki said as he was thrown back by Hazel.
"Whatever the person's goal was."
Dawn had heard this as she started to fight Yuki.
She remembered the conversation she had with Shade a couple nights ago.
'He wants revenge.'
Dawn thought as she pushed Yuki back with her weapons.
She looked at Cinder who went to an elevator with Vernal and Raven.
Suddenly a loud crash got everyone's attention.
Nora had hit Hazel through a wall after he electrocuted her.
Outside…
Shade's shadow wings vanished when he landed on the ground and started walking back towards the building.
Suddenly a shot went toward Shade's head and bounced off him.
Adam Taurus went in front of him and sent his blade toward Shade's neck.
Before it got too close, Shade grabbed the blade and held it back.
Shade aimed his blade at Adam and slashed at him.
Adam pulled his blade back and blocked Shade's attack.
He saw Shin approaching Shade from behind.
Adam smirked.
"I'm not sure who you are but you will fall just like Haven will."
Shin ran to stab Shade.
But was blocked by a familiar looking spear.
Erika was in front of Shin.
"Sorry brother but I'm not letting you kill my Team Leader."
The two teammates pushed Adam and Shin back.
Hazel was struck through the wall and outside.
"Shade!"
Dawn shouted.
Shade looked at her with his dark eyes.
"Cinder went down there!"
She pointed at where the elevator was.
Shade's aura turned fierce and ran towards the building.
Hazel stood in front of him.
Shade jumped and his shadows turned his hand into a claw.
He grabbed Hazel's head and slammed him back into the ground.
Shade continued running towards the elevator.
Emerald saw this.
"Not on my watch."
She used her semblance on Shade.
Shade saw 5 Cinders in front of him.
He closed his eyes and opened them again.
The illusion in front of him shattered.
Shade ran towards the elevator and jumped down it.
"Impossible"
Emerald said in disbelief.
Hiroki saw Adam Taurus outside.
His semblance activated instantly.
"This is my chance for revenge."
While this was happening Erika was fighting Shin.
"Snap out of it Shin!"
Erika sent roots underground towards Shin.
Shin jumped and dodged the attack.
He swung his blade and sent fire dust slashed at Erika.
She blocked it with her spear and it was knocked behind her.
Shin landed on the ground.
Erika ran towards her spear.
Right before she got it a fire slash hit her in the back.
Erika's aura nearly broke as she turned to face Shin.
Hiroki was running towards Adam.
He stopped when he saw Erika about to be stabbed by Shin.
Hiroki looked at Adam then at Erika.
He took a deep breath.
'Not again.'
Hiroki flew between Shin and Erika and blocked the blade.
Erika looked at Hiroki.
"Hiroki?"
Hiroki turned towards her, his scar visible to her.
He nods at her and pushes Shin back.
"Oh great another Human trying to destroy what Adam created."
Hiroki glared at Shin.
"All Adam Taurus does is destroy."
Hiroki pushed Shin back and Shin slashed fire dust at him.
As it hit HIroki his semblance activated and the attack did nothing.
Shin looked at Hiroki with slight fear.
'Wha-what is his aura?'
Shin said as he sensed Hiroki's aura.
'Its dark.'
Adam saw all this
"I've had enough of this."
Adam turned to the White Fang members behind him.
"Kill them!"
They aimed their weapons at Erika,and Hiroki.
"Adam!"
Blake shouted from a nearby building.
"This isn't what is right for the Faunus!"
Blake shouted
"Put your weapons down Adam"
Adam saw Grayson fly in front of him as the Faunus Blake rallied and walked behind him.
Ghira was on the other side with his own group of Faunus.
This caused the White Fang members to lower their weapons.
"Make no mistake brothers! These our are enemies and we will not let them ruin-"
Adam was interrupted by a siren from a Airship heading towards them.
"Adam Taurus, this is the Mistral Police Force, lower your weapons and surrender peacefully."
This caused everyone to look towards the Airship.
Erika smiled.
"Took them long enough."
She said as she stood next to Hiroki.
"Was this your plan?
Hiroki asked.
"No but it was a good plan."
Erika said with her usual grin.
Blake jumped down.
"Adam, Its over "
Adam readied the trigger of the armed explosives.
"Then it's over for all of us."
He hit the trigger and nothing happened
"What are you doing trying to get us all killed?"
One White Fang member shouted.
Adam grabbed him by his hood.
"I am making Humanity pay for what they've done."
Blake spoke up
"We sent someone over to disarm your explosives."
Ilia walked out and dropped the disarmed explosives.
"What do we do?"
Adam asked Hazel.
"This is your business not mine, fix it."
Adam ran towards Blake to attack her.
Blake used her semblance to dodge and smashed Adam's back causing him to drop his sword.
"Kill them!"
Adam shouted.
The White Fang started to attack.
Sun ,Grayson and the Faunus they gathered started to attack.
While this was happening an Ice Stinger pulled Hazel back into the academy.
Hiroki looked at Shin who immediately ran to Adam.
He took a deep breath.
"Erika, I need you to help the others while I go help Shade."
Erika looked at Shin.
"B-but-"
"Shade is going up against some very powerful people all at once. I need to go."
Erika looked at the hole that was made by Hazel and Shade.
She nods at Hiroki.
He took her hand and flew into the academy at high speed.
They saw Yang running towards the elevator.
Mercury and Emerald tried to stop her but only removed her robotic arm.
Kiryu suddenly ran in front of Yang and was about to attack her.
Before he could Hiroki threw Erika to Kiryu's right.
"Hi"
Erika said before she shot Kiryu away allowing Yang and Hiroki to jump down.
While this was happening..
In the Vault area...
Raven was frozen and Cinder had attacked Vernal with a Grimm arm.
Cinder looked shocked.
"Where's the power!?"
Suddenly Raven broke out.
"Vernal wasn't the Spring Maiden"
She threw her mask off
"I am!"
As she shouted that a loud crash was heard behind Raven.
A sword was thrown at Cinder.
She quickly dodged and the sword was knocked into the air when it hit the vault door.
The sword landed in the hand of Shade.
AN:Ok so i have a couple things to say about this Chapter. One I meant to get this Chapter out a week earlier but 4th of July was fun and yet very draining of my energy so I didn't have time to finish. Two, this Chapter was a bit of an experiment. I wanted to focus more on SHDE Characters rather than just RWBY with SHDE so this was a bit of a test, was it successful. Maybe. And last but not least i'm proud to say that the next Chapter is the last Chapter of SHDE Volume 5 and let me say i am both looking forward to starting it and very worried. Anyway until next time.
