the alliance is in celebration. everywhere in orochi castle (they should change the name, the guy's already dead) one can hear shouts of celebration for the return of the kozuki family. the main party celebrates in the banquet hall: the three captains, their crew, and the samurais, all battered and bruised; all celebrating.
except for one person.
cat burglar nami sits in a corner of the banquet hall drinking sake, brown gaze inconspicuously on a pair of… lovebirds? are they lovebirds? nami doesn't know. she doesn't want to know. she takes another swig of the alcohol, as if the liquid would help her drown the emotional turmoil inside her.
it's not fair how she has no right to all these feelings. she and the swordsman had both decided to call it quits in fishman island for the sake of camaraderie. he's free to be with anybody he wants to be.
she finishes the alcohol and closes the tap on her emotions.
he doesn't like it.
he doesn't like the way the blond cook hovers around the navigator with his constant pining. he doesn't like the fact that it's not him beside her, drinking sake and laughing. zoro downs the cup in his hand, the green-haired woman beside her immediately filling his cup to the brim. he's thankful for the almost endless supply of alcohol but he wishes that momo's younger sister would stop clinging to him too much.
sanji leans in to whisper something in her ear. the navigator giggles. the swordsman slams his cup to the ground, startling his companion. he doesn't care.
it was him who brought up the idea of breaking whatever they had going on between them so as not to disrupt the family dynamic the entire crew has so why was she flirting with another member of the same damn crew?
there's no reason to be hung up in these… feelings. swordsmen like him don't have time to worry about such frivolous things. he grabs the cup, downs the alcohol, and shoves thoughts of the orange-haired navigator to the back of his mind.
