"Oh my head. Where am I?" Alexis asks as she wakes up and sees she is sitting on a coffin in human form.
"You're in my family's crypt. You're that wolf who helped us." The injured boy from before says as he is in the room.
"I-I don't know what you're talking about." Alexis says nervously.
"Lair. I saw you turn back to a human when we tried to escape." The boy says as he comes over closer.
"How did I get here?" Alexis asks as she sits up.
"My aunt carried you. She saw what you did as well as what Rookery did. We just didn't realize you were a wolf shifter until recently." The boy says.
"Yeah well neither did Rookery. Though not much good it does. I trapped myself in here by letting him grab me. Not one of my better fights." Alexis says.
"Why did you help us anyway? That makes twice you've tried to help us." The boy says as he looks at Alexis curiously.
"Look I don't like seeing innocent people get hurt. Besides my uncle is crazy... Well more than crazy but still." Alexis says as the boy chuckles slightly.
"You're not wrong about that... Why were you willing to throw that away for?" The boy asks.
"I have no family and Rookery isn't exactly family. But what choice did I have? I haven't been on my own since I was young." Alexis says as he looks down.
"You seem like you're fairly capable. You shouldn't of have to put up with someone like him. I understand doing something because you feel you have no choice." The boy says as Alexis looks.
"Thank you. Wow..." Alexis says.
"What?" The boy asks curiously.
"Just never thought I'd be this close to a vampire and him talking to me willingly." Alexis says as she smiles slightly.
"Well it's not like I have much of- Ah!" The boy says as he nearly falls only for Alexis to quickly jump up and grab him before helping him to stand.
"Are you alright?" Alexis asks curiously.
"It was just getting hit by that light drained me." The boy says before Alexis feels him sniffing her neck.
"Whoa! Easy vampire boy. Why are you sniffing my neck?" Alexis asks in alarm as she pulls away from the boy.
"Sorry. You just smell good." The boy says as he chuckles.
"Olease tell me you mean my blood." Alexis says.
"I do... but not that you don't smell terrible either." The boy says as Alexis growls annoyedly.
"Okay smarty. I get the hint... Would drinking blood help you?" Alexis asks nervously.
"Huh?" The boy asks confusedly.
"Would you drinking my blood help you any?" Alexis asks.
"Yes. It would help me to heal much faster and get my strength back. Why?" The boy asks.
"Drink from me then. Just preferably don't drain me completely." Alexis says.
"You're willing to trust me to drink from you and not kill you in the process?" The boy asks.
"Never said I trusted you. Just don't wanna see you in pain." Alexis says.
"You're one crazy mortal but fine. Hold still then and you might want to sit down." The boy says as Alexis sits down.
"O-Okay." Alexis says as the boy goes behind her and moves head and hair to get a clear view of her neck.
"Relax. I'll try to be easy considering you're letting me do this." The boy says before he then gently sinks his fangs into Alexis's causing her to wince at the feeling.
"Ouch! O-Okay I think that's enough. I feel dizzy as it is. Hey! I thought we agreed you wouldn't take no more than necessary!?" Alexis asks annoyedly as she feels the boy stop drinking and pull away only to begin licking the area where he bit her.
"I'm only licking the wound. It'll help it to heal." The boy says before he stops licking and wipes the blood from his mouth.
"Who are you anyhow? I let you drink my blood and yet don't even know your name." Alexis says as she fixes her hair back.
"I don't see how that's beneficial." The boy says.
"It's not. It's called an introduction. Besides we're trapped together so might as well know each other. I'm Alexis Hathaway. You?" Alexis asks.
"Gregory. Gregory Sackville-Bagg." The boy says kindly.
"Well nice to meet you." Alexis says.
"You are definitely one strange mortal." Gregory says before he leaves.
"And you're one strange vampire... but I kinda like that." Alexis thinks as she watches Gregory leave.
*Timeskip*
"Frederick!" A woman shouts as she pulls on the cage.
"There's no way we can open this." A man says.
"Frederick!" The woman says sadly.
"I keep telling you escaping through the labyrinth is our best chance." Gregory says.
"Freda!" The woman shouts as other vampires leave.
"We'll find a way out. I promise." Gregory says.
"Until then let me try getting this gate open." Alexis says as she shifts to wolf form and goes up to the net.
"And why should we trust you?" Gregory asks.
"Whoever said I was asking you to trust me? Look I'm not asking you to and I don't want you to trust me. I understand your reasoning and so I don't want your trust. It's not exactly like I trust you all either. I know you won't hurt me and that's enough. It's more of my own personal issues that prevent me from trusting someone right. Just let me try. I may not be able to pry it open but I can at least try so none of you are wasting your strength trying." Alexis says as she looks at Gregory.
"Why are you doing this? You're a mortal. A wolf mortal but a mortal." Gregory says.
"Well you don't seem so bad to me. I was always told vampires are nothing but danger and trouble but the more I thought about it the more we have in common. You both should go join your family. I'll stay here at the net. I'll howl if I notice anything." Alexis says as Gregory and the woman leave.
