Barry had flashed out of the door of Starlabs like any other day. He had gone to catch the meta and he had done so successfully, or what appeared to be successfully. "Nice one Barry," Cisco spoke into the microphone. There was no response and feeling slightly concerned Caitlin glanced down at his vitals, they were all good, nothing appeared to be wrong. She walked over to stand next to Cisco and spoke into the microphone,
"Barr is everything all right?" she questioned. This was followed by even more silence and Caitlin could feel her concern rising, she glanced back at the vitals another time and watched as the screen flickered off. Gasping audibly, Caitlin hurried back over to the vitals screen, tapping buttons to try and make the screen switch back on, her panic attracted the attention off both Cisco and Wells who quickly joined her,
"What's wrong?" Cisco questioned, nerves clearly present in his voice,
"The screen just switched off and I can't get it working again," the doctor stressed,
"Okay, here, let me take a look at it," Cisco said, gently nudging her out of the way, so he could have complete access to the screen, Caitlin glanced around the cortex, her eyes landing on Wells who was tapping the microphone, trying to see if it was still working,
"Anything?" Caitlin questioned both parties, they both turned to look at her, a similar look of fear in their eyes, together they both shook their heads. "Okay, okay it's probably fine, I'll call him," she told both men, they nodded in response and watched with baited breathes as Caitlin rang the speedster. They listened in horror as it went through to voicemail. "Barry, I need you to call me back and let me know if you're alright," the urgency in the brunette's voice was clear. Both Harry and Cisco then picked up their own phones and sent text messages to the hero, hoping that one of them would get a reply. After a couple more minutes of radio silence from Barry, Cisco broke the silence,
"I'm going to track him," he said, quickly moving over to one of the computers,
"Yeah, good idea," Wells said and hovered anxiously over Cisco's shoulder as he began to work. Cisco worked silently for a couple of minutes, his face displaying the extreme focus he had at that moment,
"Huh, that's not good," the scientist said,
"What, what's not good?" Caitlin asked, appearing over his other shoulder, Cisco didn't look up from the computer screen but answered the questioned slowly, his voice filled with dread,
"I can't track him,"
"What do you mean you can't track him?" Wells asked urgently,
"I mean, I'm incapable of tracking him!" Cisco half-yelled his response,
"Cisco," the doctor said as calmly as she could, and placed a reassuring hand on his shoulder. This prompted the scientist to answer Harry's question in more detail,
"Something has happened to the tracker in Barry's suit, its either been damaged or someone has managed to switch it off."
"Okay, have you tried tracking his phone?" Caitlin questioned.
"No, I'll try that," Cisco responded, quickly beginning to work again. Wells and Caitlin shuffled nervously behind him on their feet, waiting to see if Cisco could get a location on their friend. "Okay, I've got it! It says he's in ally, just behind the bank." The scientist informed the others,
"I'll get the Starlabs van," Caitlin said already hurrying out of the cortex. Cisco turned to look at Harry,
"Wait here just in case anything happens and we need you here," he told him,
"Yeah sure," Wells responded and took a seat at the computers as Cisco hurried out of the cortex after Caitlin.
They pulled up in the alley outside the bank. "Are you sure this is where the tracker is saying?" Caitlin questioned, looking out into the dim alley nervously.
"Yeah, that's what the tracker says, don't judge my tech skills Dr Snow," Cisco commented, joking slightly in an attempt to ease the tension. Caitlin let out a small laugh, appreciating Cisco's attempts to try and lighten the mood, before opening her door and climbing out of the van. Cisco followed quickly behind her and the two slowly made their way down the ally, carefully scouring it for their friend. After a couple of minutes both scientists felt their hopes lower, and their worry build. "Hey, over here," Cisco called out, the doctor quickly hurried over to him and followed his line of sight towards the ground. She let out a quiet gasp, there lying broken on the ground, was Barry's phone. "He's been kidnapped," Cisco stated with despair highlighting his voice.
"Yeah… probably," Caitlin responded softly. She brought out her phone torch and shone the light on the ground near the phone, there was no evidence of foul play, but then again, Barry was gone, and they were unable to get a hold of him. The chances were that he had been kidnapped, she hoped that was all anyway.
"We have to get back to Starlabs," Cisco spoke urgently, cutting through Cait's thoughts,
"Yes, yes let's go, we need to find him as soon as possible," she said, picking up the speedsters broken phone, and hurrying back to the van.

His whole body hurt. The speedster couldn't believe the amount of pain he was in, he wasn't healing, and he knew that he had at least three broken bones, along with whatever other damage had been done to his bruised body. He couldn't help his mind moving to Caitlin, he was worried about all his friends, but when he thought of Caitlin he thought of safety and significantly less pain. It always hurt when she fixed him up, but she was kind and gentle, even when she was in her doctor mode, and when she was done, he hurt less, and god did he want to hurt less. He would do anything to see her now, to patch him up and make this pain less, he needed this pain to be less.

Five days. That's how long Barry had been missing. Cisco, Wells and Caitlin couldn't remember the last time they had a full nights rest. Iris and Joe and been in and out, but there really wasn't all that much they could do. Caitlin was leaning over her desk, taking sips from her cup of coffee, when she heard beeping coming from Cisco's desk. She raised her eyes tiredly, watching Cisco sit up violently and start aggressively tapping away at his computers. "Cisco?" Wells questioned, appearing behind Caitlin. The scientist held his hand up to stop any further questions as he continued to tap away, the two others in the room watched him with a questioning gaze. Then he stopped. He turned very slowly in his chair until he was facing the others,
"Ladies and Gentlemen, we've got them!" He declared dramatically, Caitlin didn't even have time to roll her eyes at her friends antics, she jumped out of her chair and grabbed the Starlabs vans keys,
"I'm driving," she yelled, before hurrying out of the room, with Wells and Cisco following right behind her.
