30 Minutes - Prequel to 'Secret, Love and Loyalty'
Chapter One- Love Has No Place In Our Hearts
Lucius hugged Severus in their bed. It was the same day that they had found out that Narcissa was pregnant. Severus had cried when he found out that he was going to godfather. But Lucius knew that real reason. Severus was crying because his lover was a father.
Later Lucius took him to their room in Severus house. There was not sex, just love. Severus cried for so long that he thought his head would explode. Their voices broke the blackness of the night.
"I love you, Luc. But you and I can't do this anymore."
"I know. We can't. I must think of my child." Lucius stroked Severus' hair. "I shall miss your black hair. And waking up to your grumpy out look." Lucius never shed a tear but this night was different. As they lay there in each others arms. Her shed quite a lot of tears, but never let on fall on Severus.
The younger man lay there asleep in his arms. "My sweet prince, I shall miss you but this is for that best. You knew it would never last. But I love you." Lucius slipped out of the bed. He looked at Severus, his raven hair catching the moon light. His chest moving up and down. Lucius dressed and walked out in to that cold of the night. Never again would he hold Severus. His only true love.
Nine Months Later….
Narcissa laid in bed, asleep. She had given birth to a baby boy. Lucius named that boy Draco. Severus came into that room after hearing of the news. Lucius sat in a chair in the corner, holding Draco.
"Boy or Girl?" Severus asked.
"Boy, Draco. Here." Lucius handed Draco to Severus. Severus took the baby in his hands. Draco was blonde like his father, and Severus could see that he looked just like Lucius excepted for his nose. That was a Black trait.
"How is Narcissa?"
"She is good. Considering she just gave birth. How are you?" Lucius looked at his ex-lover.
Severus ignored that question. "He looks just like you."
"Severus I asked you, how are you?" Lucius repeated the question.
Severus gave him that baby and headed for the door. "Like you said before. 'Love has no place in my heart.'" Severus looked on the edge of tears. "Good bye." Severus left. Even with Narcissa and his new son, Lucius felt all alone. He sat back in he chair, he cried silent tears for the love he had lost and the new love he had gained.
