A/N: Sorry about this, guys, but this story was supposed to be first uploaded last week in time for Thanksgiving, please forgive me for the delay, but I lost track and got preoccupied with other things.
After one crazy Halloween which will be told about more later on, LJ and Zofia were currently packing their bags and getting ready to go as they were going on a family trip outside of Greendale together.
"Okay, kids, remember to pack up everything you need," Cherry advised. "And remember to be on your best behaviors."
"We will." LJ and Zofia promised.
"Good, we'll meet you outside in about 25 minutes." Cherry then told them as she let them get to it.
"Alrighty... Time to get packing." declared LJ as he began to stuff his suitcase with his action figures and comic books.
Zofia nodded as she began to pack up too. Cherry checked out the RV and made sure everything was good to go and began to make the kids' favorite snacks to go on the trip with.
"Uh, hey? The door was open..." Irwin called as he stepped into the house, wearing a blue uniform.
"Halloween's over, kid," Cherry told him. "You might wanna take that outfit off."
"Oh, this isn't a costume, ma'am," Irwin smiled. "I'm now a member of a new team called Underfist. I'm part of a crime-fighting action team for The Underworld where we battle the forces of evil since I'm a half-mummy and half-vampire."
"Oh, how cute," Cherry said, sounding like she didn't care as she glanced at him. "Well... If you're friends with the kids, you could come along," she then smirked darkly. "But if you're not, I guess I'll just have to make your worst nightmare come alive to take you away if you're a bully~"
"He's not a bully, Mom!" LJ replied. "If anything, he's been bullied frequently."
"Then you may come in," Cherry soon told Irwin. "What kind of snacks do you like?"
"Uh... I guess peanut butter and marshmallow sandwiches?" Irwin shrugged nervously.
"Ugh... Peanut butter..." Cherry grimaced and she soon turned around and made those sandwiches for him to go in with the snack cooler. "All right... Just stay out of my way and we'll get going soon to visit the kids' Uncle Milo and Aunt Kida for Thanksgiving."
"Oh, awesome, yo!" Irwin replied as he sat on the staircase while the others got to packing. "I should probably get some stuff of my own too."
"Yes, you should probably do that." Cherry nodded.
"Hey, Irwin." LJ and Zofia greeted the boy.
"Hey, guys," Irwin smiled. "Sure seems like a very long time since we last saw each other."
"It was a month ago, dude." Zofia smirked.
"Well, it feels like a long time ago," Irwin smiled bashfully. "So, uh, where do your aunt and uncle live again?"
"Atlantis." LJ and Zofia said like it was obvious.
"Ah... Okay," Irwin replied. "I just need to get some stuff, and I'll be back."
LJ and Zofia nodded as they let him get going.
"Don't leave without me!" Irwin told them and soon ran off. "I mean it!"
"Don't worry, Irwin!" Zofia called out. "We're not like Billy, Mandy, and Grim! We'll actually be here waiting for you!"
"I'm gonna hold you guys to that promise, yo!" Irwin called back.
"Are the Fudos coming too, Mother?" Zofia soon asked.
"Yes, we'll meet them on the way down there," Cherry nodded. "I believe your uncle let them invite some friends over too like for visits to Pride Rock or later visits to Atlantica since they're good secret keepers."
"Huh, okay," said Lionel. "I'll meet everyone else in the vehicle."
"I'll be right there, just gotta get the travel snacks together," Cherry replied. "Would you like anything special to bring along on the trip?"
"You know how bad I am at choosing," replied Lionel. "So surprise me!"
"All right, lemme see what I can do then." Cherry said as she continued to prepare snacks for the trip.
"You sure have an interesting family, you guys." Irwin said to LJ and Zofia.
"Tell me about it." Zofia smirked as she brought her newest book out, deciding to take that for the ride over to read.
LJ followed her to the van, carrying some comic books in his arms.
"Must be a pretty long trip?" Irwin asked.
"Pretty long, yeah," Zofia replied as she put her stuff on her side. "Hope ya don't get carsick."
"Not that I know of..." Irwin replied as he got into the vehicle.
"Just get comfortable." Zofia advised.
"Then we'll get along just fine." LJ added.
Irwin smiled sheepishly and nodded as he moved his stuff as needed.
"Alright, that should be everything," Cherry said as she came to get into the car. "I just hope you all remembered to go to the bathroom one last time."
"Yes, Mom!" LJ and Zofia replied.
"All right then, off we go." Cherry told her family.
They all then climbed in together, got buckled up, and soon drove off to begin their family travel for Thanksgiving. The others who saw them driving away and leaving waved to them as they celebrated their own family holiday as followed and even passed by the old Spellman house on the way.
"A witch family Thanksgiving... I wonder what that'll be like...?" Eric pondered.
"Your guess is as good as mine." Jane smirked slyly as she was petting Dorian in her arms.
"I hope your family at least likes me." Irwin said to the Schwartz siblings.
"Otika seemed to after our Halloween adventure together," Zofia replied as she read her new book. "At least she's better for you than Mandy."
"Chocolate pudding would be better for you than Mandy, but I digress," LJ replied. "Besides, Otika is a generally more pleasant person."
"Even if she doesn't show a lot of emotion..." Irwin said softly. "But she did save my life back there when I was joining Underfist with Jeff, Hoss, and Mr. Skarr."
"I'm glad Mr. Skarr at least got a happy ending out of that," Zofia remarked. "He seemed to have bad memories with that guy, Hector con Carne or whatever his name is."
"That creep..." Cherry rolled her eyes at the name. "Yes, Bruce was a billionaire playboy too, but at least he had class, unlike that weirdo."
"Well, Hector was known for being incredibly inept," replied Lionel. "So much for a jillionaire playboy. And yes, that is what he was called."
"Well, you know what I mean." Cherry shrugged.
"Your parents have an interesting sense of humor, yo.." Irwin said to LJ and Zofia.
"Mother has a pretty dark sense of humor, though Father's is unpredictable at times," Zofia nodded. "You don't seem very close with your parents."
"Sometimes I am, sometimes not," Irwin shrugged a bit. "I see them whenever I can if I'm not with Grandmama."
"Ah, got it." LJ nodded.
Eventually, the trip got a bit longer and the kids soon drifted off to sleep. Luckily for Irwin, he didn't seem to have many nightmares which was relieving for him considering the trauma he went through with Billy and Mandy back in Endsville. Last Halloween was a very big change for him, especially when he became a member of the group Underfist and seemed to have someone who really liked him a lot, Otika. They soon came to the halfway point and they came to see Atticus and Mo with their kids and their kids' special guests who they decided to bring along with them for the trip as they stopped to eat their snacks at the picnic grounds they stopped at.
"Same old, same old," LJ commented as he ate. "But in this case, that's a good thing!"
"Good to see you guys again." Akito said.
"Yes," Zofia nodded. "And we can get to know your special friends better."
"I look forward to that," Lee smiled before smirking. "I just hope that my brothers and sister are gonna be fine back home."
"I wish I had brothers and sisters sometimes." Jenny (Foxworth and Vincent's girlfriend, not Mazinsky and Martin's twin sister), said softly as her orange cat was eating his own snack on the ground beside the picnic table they sat in.
Vincent patted her gently on the shoulder.
"Yeah, it does seem a bit lonely being an only child." Akito said to her.
"I've felt it before, but it'll be okay." Vincent smiled at his girlfriend.
"Thanks, Vincent." Jenny smiled back.
"I'm just glad I can take a break from Pokemon Princess duties for a while," Emi said. "I'm excited about the holiday though."
"I am too." Estelle beamed.
"So, it sounds like you guys had one crazy Halloween last month." Akito said to LJ, Zofia, and Irwin then.
"Oh, you don't know the HALF of it!" LJ replied. "So many things happened that we never expected!"
"What did YOU guys do for Halloween?" Zofia then asked.
"Heh... I took one of my client's trick-or-treating and tried to protect her against her mean cousin." Estelle smiled.
"...Well, that sounds rather mundane for you guys..." LJ blinked.
"We met a Scary Godmother who took us to this amazing Halloween horror-filled world that was kinda like Halloween Town." Estelle then added.
"Okay, yeah, never mind." LJ then nodded.
"That sounds more like their speed." Zofia added.
"And it sounds pretty fun, yo," Irwin added. "I wish I coulda been there sometimes."
"Well, that's the great thing about adventures," Akito beamed. "You can go on a lot and meet all sorts of new people and have new experiences you would probably dream possible. Like how we found out about Pokemon and I got to meet Emi for the first time."
"That was such a great time." Emi smiled, blushing since that was a magical moment in their lives.
"Or how Jenny used to just be my pen pal and then we got to meet her and she and Vincent became boyfriend and girlfriend." Estelle added.
"Not to mention the adventures we all have back in Southdale." Lee smiled warmly at the Fudos.
"It sounds so amazing the way you all say it." Irwin smiled back.
"Yeah, it is pretty amazing." replied Akito.
Irwin smiled as he had fun with the Fudos so far with the Schwartz siblings.
"Looks like they're getting along nicely." Cherry commented on what she saw.
"That's good to know," Atticus smiled. "It sure has been a while since we last saw Milo and Kida. I'm so excited."
"You and me both!" Lionel agreed. "To think they've had time to have a daughter, too!"
Eventually, after the snack/lunch break, everyone began to pack up and they soon went back to their journey to visiting Milo and Kida.
"So, uh, how do we get to this Atlantis?" Irwin asked. "Isn't it underground and kind of a myth?"
"We have our ways of doing things," Mo smirked. "Just wait 'til you see what happens when we get over there."
"Plus, you're not one to think of myths as just myths," Cherry advised. "You once knew The Grim Reaper and you're meeting a lot of other strange things now that you're apart of Underfist."
"I guess that's a pretty good point, yo." Irwin shrugged bashfully.
LJ nodded as he yawned and went to take a nap in his seat while the car kept on driving.
The kids then went back to their respective vehicles to get some rest until the rest of the trip. The adults looked at them and soon continued along to get them to where they needed to go.
"8,000 years ago, Atlantis sank beneath the ocean," Kida was heard narrating as she explored her homeland. "The Great Crystal, the source of its power, was hidden beneath the city. Robbed of the heart of Atlantis, my people seemed doomed to slow extinction. But now we are reborn. Once again the heart of Atlantis shines upon us, healing us, making us strong. We are using the power of the crystal to rebuild our city, and to restore our culture to greatness. Under the light of the great crystal, my people are thriving again. We have uncovered secrets lost for thousands of years. The city is once again a center of knowledge and learning instead of a place of ignorance and fear. My father thought it better to hide the crystal rather than risk the misuse of its power. As queen, I can only hope I am doing the right thing."
Otika was shown to be looking out for upcoming visitors before laughing as Obby snuck up beside her and licked her face. "Silly lava dog," she said as she held him out. "Our visitors should be coming over very soon. I look forward to sharing this tradition called Thanksgiving with Mama and Papa's old friends when they arrive. I hope it's soon, especially with their friend they call Irwin."
Obby barked a few times as he smiled at that.
"I'm excited to meet and see them too," Otika nodded. "Where is Mama?"
Obby soon barked and took off suddenly.
Otika laughed and soon ran with him to go and see her parents.
"How fitting," Kida said as she came to see her husband. "The old king need never shed tears again."
Milo smiled at her before he was suddenly tackled by Obby and he licked the human man's face. "Obby. Obby. All right. Come on. Show a little respect here." he then told the lava dog.
Otika looked sheepish as she came to see her parents.
"Hello, my dear," Kida smiled. "Are you trying to train Obby?"
"A little bit, yes," Otika replied. "No signs of our visitors though."
"Maybe soon," Kida smiled as she hugged her before facing Milo. "I never thought the rebuilding of Atlantis would move so quickly."
"I think we only understand a fraction of what the crystal can teach us." Milo remarked.
"Well, I know that none of it would be possible without you." Kida smiled before they soon hugged each other.
Obby soon snarled and barked, looking a bit hungry.
"Looks like Obby wants a snack." Otika alerted her parents.
Milo chuckled as he saw Obby begging like a regular pet dog, standing on his hind legs. "Okay, one rock," he then told the lava dog before taking out a rock and tossing it over to him, chuckling as Obby then snacked right on it. "You know, you're getting to look like one chubby lava dog."
Obby ate the rock happily before he suddenly snarled and looked provoked somehow.
"What is it, Obby?" Otika frowned. "What is wrong?"
A man soon rushed over with some guards. "Queen Kida. There are intruders approaching the city." he then warned.
Kida soon took a look over with some retro binoculars and panicked. "They're coming through the lava tubes. Where is the patrol captain? I want them met with fliers. Otika, go wait in your room."
Milo soon took a look to see what Kida saw before smiling warmly. "Wait. They're not intruders, they are friends!" he then explained.
"Yeah!" Otika beamed. "It's LJ and Zofia and their family!"
Obby looked just as excited as she did.
"We have arrived in Atlantis." Atticus smiled.
"How very exciting!" Mo added.
"Don't get too excited now," Cherry teased. "We wouldn't wanna scare 'em away."
"We'll try not to!" Lionel chuckled as they continued towards their destination.
They weren't the only ones there though, there was more company to come.
"Oh, it is beautiful." One familiar voice remarked in excitement.
"Yeah. It's amazing what a little paint and spackle will do." Another voice agreed, though sounding slightly dull.
The two families soon made it over and came to see Milo and Kida again after so long as The Atlantean people beamed and smiled in excitement and anticipation. Irwin stepped out as he came with the Schwartz family before yelping as he suddenly got tackled on the ground.
"Irwin, greetings." Otika greeted the boy as she had tackled him down on the floor as her own friendly greeting.
Irwin blushed. "Oh... Hi, Otika," he replied. "Happy Thanksgiving!"
"Yes... Happy Thanksgiving," Otika nodded. "I look forward to it."
"I know I am." Irwin smiled bashfully.
LJ and Zofia soon rushed over to go and see Milo and Kida as Akito, Estelle, and Vincent slowly joined after.
"So... This is Atlantis..." Lee remarked as he looked all around. "Not at all like I expected."
"It's like something out of those long and 'cultured' Purple Space Cat movies." Jenny nodded.
"It sure is interesting." Emi added in agreement.
"Downright miraculous," LJ added. "First time I've seen it in person."
"Doesn't it look better than just looking from my scrapbook?" Cherry asked.
"Very much, Mom." LJ nodded.
"So glad that you could make it," Kida smiled. "I can tell that this will be a fun family and friend adventure for all of us."
"If only Audrey and the others could be here." Milo added.
"I think they could show up sometime." shrugged Lionel.
"Would that be them?" Atticus wondered as he pointed to the sky.
There appeared to be some planes coming in the air after the Schwartz and Fudo families came by.
"Could it be...?" Akito pondered.
"Maybe...?" Estelle added.
The planes soon came in for a landing to show some familiar faces from the last big adventure in Atlantis.
"Looks like they're here and what good timing." Cherry remarked.
"How fortuitous!" exclaimed Lionel. "I guess the gang's all here!"
"Audrey, what are you guys doing here?" Milo asked in surprise.
"Just making sure you aren't making a mess of things down here." Audrey smirked as she hopped down in front of him.
"Come here," Milo smirked back playfully before he soon hugged her, giving her two since she flinched. "Ah, two for flinching."
"Why, thank you," Sweet smiled as he was given his own flower lei like they had come to visit Hawaii. "I hope my hay fever doesn't kick up."
Two young strong Atlantean men came to help out Mrs. Packard.
"Hello," Mrs. Packard said as she dropped down in between them. "So, who wants to show me around the city?"
The two Atlantean men then broke out into a fight over the grumpy old lady.
"Oh, let me. I will do it."
"No, I saw her first."
"No, no. Me, me."
"Boys, boys, you're both pretty," Mrs. Packard told them. "We'll all go."
"Mesdemoiselles." Mole greeted three lovely Atlantean women as they gave him flowers before he whispered something to them.
The three women soon gasped and glared before they suddenly chased him away.
"I guess some things never change." Mo commented about Mole's dilemma.
"We should probably help him." Atticus suggested.
"Nah, it's funnier this way." Lionel replied.
"Jeez, I missed you guys, I was just expecting Atticus, Cherry, Lionel, and Mo," Milo smiled at the group. "But why are you here? Is Mr. Whitmore okay?"
"Is he even around?" Cherry asked softly since Mr. Whitmore was pretty old.
"Why don't you ask him yourself?" Audrey smiled warmly.
Kida looked over and beamed at the sight of a certain old man who appeared to be piloting one of the planes. "Guys." she then said to her husband and their friends.
"Mr. Whitmore!" The group gasped.
"Not only am I okay, but this crystal of yours makes me feel 20 years younger," Whitmore smiled as he hopped out of his plane before Milo dove in to help him in case he got hurt before he chuckled. "Of course, that still leaves me pretty old. And this must be Princess Kida, although, I guess, it would be Queen Kida now."
"And you must be Mr. Whitmore," Kida replied as she hugged him tightly. "And yes, Queen Kida, and this is the princess... Otika." she then gestured to her daughter.
Otika put one hand in her pocket and waved her other hand with a small smirk.
"Thank you," Kida continued warmly at the older man. "You brought Milo to me and made all this possible."
Mole screamed as he was soon thrown aside before the women grabbed him and pulled him away again.
"Come," Otika invited. "Let us go inside where you can have something to eat."
"Sounds good to me!" LJ declared as he brought in his bag. "I bet you've got plenty of way-cool stories!"
"Lead the way," Zofia nodded. "I'm famished."
They soon came into the dining room to eat some of the Atlantean cuisine.
