Double Trouble is long gone from the Fright Zone, because how is someone supposed to produce theatrical masterpieces in an environment like that? No, they resent being treated as though they're somehow less than the ideal candidate to play every character, even the ones that were added purely to give a few miscellaneous Horde soldiers something to do. A wall! Honestly!

They're just going to wander through Brightmoon for a few weeks, until all that settles down, and maybe get valuable information and/or bring down a government or two. They have plenty of money in their pocket, of the kind that disappears two hours after they leave, and a new spring in their step. Ah, princesses and their allies are so easy to manipulate.

The palace gate is open, and the guards stationed at either side of it barely give Double Trouble a second look as they shuffle by disguised as an old woman. They mumble an excuse about selling apples, although it's hardly necessary given how poorly the palace still takes security.

The palace gardens are luxurious in a way only achievable through magic, and mostly empty. Double Trouble shifts into the uniform of a palace servant anyway, just in case they get caught wandering around by someone with half a brain.

That someone with half a brain turns out to be none other than Princess – or is it Queen now? They don't care – Glimmer, who is walking aimlessly through the gardens, muttering and looking furious. Double Trouble moves out of her way, but Glimmer sees them and turns around.

"Oh, my beloved, there you are! Come back to the palace with me; we've been looking everywhere for you."

Double Trouble lets their disguise drop, mostly in sheer confusion. Glimmer doesn't seem to notice, and rushes towards them to link their arms together.

"Sweetheart, we have royal meetings to attend."

Double Trouble isn't sure if this is an elaborate trick or some odd magical prank, but anything that gets them into important meetings is all right.

"Glimmer, is this a joke?"

Glimmer glares at him and redoubles her grip on Double Trouble's arm, causing them to wince.

"Of course this isn't a joke, Bow. You think finding the love of my life is a joke?"

Double Trouble looks a little confused too, but they rally valiantly and take a sweeping bow that's barely inhibited by Glimmer's clinging.

"Are you feeling all right?" Bow goes to check Glimmer's forehead and she actually hisses at him, shoving Double Trouble between them.

"I think you're just jealous," Glimmer continues. "You're jealous that I could clearly do better than you, and now that I've found someone this incredible, you're trying to take that away from me."

Bow looks at Double Trouble in hopes that they'll clarify something, and they just shrug.

"I am better than you, I will grant her that."

"What is going on here?" Bow demands. Nobody answers him, because apparently he's the only sane person left in Brightmoon.

There's some fidgeting in a doorway, and Seahawk steps into the room, nervously scuffing his feet.

"Well, owing to a tragic accident involving a love potion –"

"What were you trying to do with the love potion?"

Seahawk sighs in despair.

"I was trying to resolve you and Glimmer's argument by making you fall madly in love again, but Glimmer must have seen Double Trouble before she saw you, so the love potion made her fall in love with Double Trouble instead."

"And you thought that was a good idea?!" Bow's aware that he's getting hysterical, but he thinks a little bit of hysteria is entirely reasonable right now.

"It was Mermista's idea!"

Bow takes a deep breath to compose himself, then takes charge of the situation.

"I'll go talk to Mermista. Seahawk, you keep an eye on Double Trouble and make sure they don't kill anyone or escape with valuable information."

"I'm wounded that you'd assume I'm a traitor to your cause!" Double Trouble comments, a hand on their heart.

"Yeah, Bow, why are you so paranoid?" Glimmer chimes in.

"Keep an eye on them," Bow repeats, choosing to ignore everything Glimmer's saying. She's clearly not in her right mind from the potion.

Mermista turns out to be in one of the guest rooms, sitting on the bed and so engrossed in a book that she doesn't even notice him.

"Uh, Mermista?"

"What do you want?" she groans, putting her book down and flopping over.

"Did you tell Seahawk to use a very powerful and very dangerous love potion on Glimmer?"

"Oh, yeah, I did that. It's just water and herbs. Not an issue."

"Then why is Glimmer currently head-over-heels for Double Trouble?" In an ideal situation, Bow would have addressed this much more diplomatically, but Mermista playing dumb is starting to seriously get on his nerves.

Mermista frowns at him, then sits bolt upright.

"The love potion worked?"

"Yes! Did you not hear me?"

"Oh, no." Mermista gets up, groaning quietly. "I did not think it was a functional potion. I'll go find the antidote and have Glimmer back to normal in no time."

"Okay, uh, thanks for your help."

Mermista leaves through the window and is gone before Bow can say anything else, although he could swear he heard a faint "Well, if it really does work, might as well do a good deed for Perfuma, for once."

Scorpia might be lost. Or, strictly speaking, not totally lost, since she did find what she was looking for. Specifically, Catra, dozing in a clearing with Adora nowhere in sight. She doesn't know where she is, but that's not super relevant.

When Scorpia takes another step into the clearing, Catra opens her eyes blearily, then shoots upright.

"Where's Adora? What have you done to her?"

"Nothing, I swear!" Scorpia says hastily as Catra grabs her by the collar. "She was gone when I showed up!"

Catra lets go of her slowly, but keeps giving her suspicious glares while she squints at the tracks in the clearing and occasionally sniffs a leaf.

"So, did Adora come through here and leave?" Scorpia asks, in a valiant attempt to make conversation.

"Clearly." Catra gestures to a patch of grass that looks exactly the same as all the other patches. "And someone else was here, too." She pokes around in the patch of grass for a moment. "Perfuma. They both went that way. Come on, let's go."

Scorpia follows Catra for a little while as she pokes the grass and snarls, but the tree branches that Catra brushes aside keep hitting her in the face, and she's been walking for a long time. She stifles a yawn.

"Hey, Catra, I'm just going to rest for a second, then I'll keep following you, okay?"

Catra doesn't respond, but Scorpia's already sinking down into a bed of moss at the base of a massive tree. It's only for a minute, she thinks as her eyes drift closed. She'll keep following Catra soon …

Perfuma's been following the creepy voices in the forest for a while, because if something or someone is threatening the trees they will have hell to pay. Adora's still following her, mumbling incoherently, and no forest invader can withstand the might of She-Ra. The fact that Adora is apparently hopelessly in love with her is a fact that can be dealt with later.

The voices fade away suddenly, leaving Perfuma standing in a patch of forest she's pretty sure she's been through before, where the moss is so thick she can barely hear her own footsteps. Scorpia is sprawled out underneath a tree, apparently fast asleep.

"Um, hello, Scorpia!" Perfuma tries. It's a little quiet, since if the creepy voices are around she doesn't want to alert them to her presence.

"Wait, where's Scorpia?" Adora calls. She spins in a circle and ends up falling over, giggling. Scorpia yawns and stretches, then she sees Perfuma and her eyes fill with light.

"Perfuma, my darling, the love of my life –"

This is all some kind of joke. This has to be. Maybe Catra convinced them to play a cruel prank on Perfuma and pretend to be interested in her. That has to be it.

"I knew I couldn't trust Catra," she hisses.

"I know, I hate Catra so much. She's all mean and clingy," Adora comments from her place on the forest floor.

Perfuma gives up on subtlety.

"Help!" she shouts. She doesn't want to attract attention to her, but she really doesn't want to be alone in a forest full of creepy voices with two people who have gone completely insane.
